  • ALBPM 6.0 : The maximum size for file uploads has been exceeded.

    Hi,
I use AquaLogic BPM Entreprise server to deploy my Process. When I try to publish a process on my server I get the following error:
    An unexpected error ocurred.
    The error's technical description is:
    "javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: null"
    Possible causes are:
The maximum size for file uploads has been exceeded.
If you are trying to publish an exported project you should publish it using the remote project option.
If you are trying to upload the participant's photo you should choose a smaller one.
An internal error has ocurred, please contact support attaching this page's source code.
    Has someone resolve it?
    Thank's.

    Hi,
Sure you've figured this out by now, but when you get the "Maximum size for file uploads" error during publish consider:
    1. if your export project file is over 10mb, use "Remote Project" (instead of "Exported Project") as the publication source. That way when you select the remote project, you will point to ".fpr" directory of the project you are trying to publish.
Most times your project is not on a network drive that the server has access to. If this is the case, upload the .exp file to the machine where the Process Administrator is running, then expand it in any directory (just unzip the file). Then, from the Process Administrator, use the option to publish a Remote Project by entering the path to the .fpr directory you just created when unzipping the project.
    2. Check to see if you have cataloged any jars and marked them as non-versionable. Most of the times the project size is big just because of the external jar files. So as a best practice, when you do a project export select the option "include only-versionable jars", that will get reduce the project size considerably (usually to Kb's). Of course you have to manually copy the Jar files to your Ext folder.
    hth,
    Dan

  • The maximum size of an SQL statement has been exceeded.

In ST22, abap dump shows that one of the possible reason was "The maximum size of an SQL statement has been exceeded."
How can I know what's the maximum size and how to compute that size had been reached?
Is this shown anywhere in the log?

    1. decalre temp_key as a table.
    2. use this package size option ....this gets the data in bite-sized chunks

    Hi,
Under certain conditions, an Open SQL statement with range tables can be reformulated into a FOR ALL ENTRIES statement:
        DESCRIBE TABLE range_tab LINES lines.
        IF lines EQ 0.
          [SELECT for blank range_tab]
        ELSE.
SELECT .. FOR ALL ENTRIES IN range_tab ..
          WHERE .. f EQ range_tab-LOW ...
          ENDSELECT.
        ENDF.
Since FOR ALL ENTRIES statements are automatically converted in accordance with the database restrictions, this solution is always met by means of a choice if the following requirements are fulfilled:
    1. The statement operates on transparent tables, on database views or on a projection view on a transparent table.
    2. The requirement on the range table is not negated. Moreover, the range table only contains entries with range_tab-SIGN = 'I'
and only one value ever occurs in the field range_tab OPTION.
This value is then used as an operator with operand range_tab-LOW or range_tab-HIGH.In the above example, case 'EQ range_tab-LOW' was the typical case.
    3. Duplicates are removed from the result by FOR ALL ENTRIES.This must not falsify the desired result, that is, the previous Open SQL statement can be written as SELECT DISTINCT.
For the reformulation, if the range table is empty it must be handled in a different way:with FOR ALL ENTRIES, all the records would be selected here while this applies for the original query only if the WHERE clause consisted of the 'f IN range_tab' condition.
FOR ALL ENTRIES should also be used if the Open SQL statement contains several range tables. Then (probably) the most extensive of the range tables which fill the second condition is chosen as a FOR ALL ENTRIES table.
    OR
What you could do in your code is,
    prior to querying;
since your select options parameter is ultimately an internal range table,
    1. split the select-option values into a group of say 3000 based on your limit,
    2. run your query against each chunck of 3000 parameters,
    3. then put together the results of each chunk.
For further reading, you might want to have a look at the Note# 13607 as the first suggestion is what I read from the note.

A bigfile tablespace contains only one datafile or tempfile, which can contain up to approximately 4 billion (232) blocks. The maximum size of the single datafile or tempfile is 128 terabytes (TB) for a tablespace with 32K blocks and 32TB for a tablespace with 8K blocks.
A smallfile tablespace is a traditional Oracle tablespace, which can contain 1022 datafiles or tempfiles, each of which can contain up to approximately 4 million (222) blocks.

  • RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded

    Dear all,
we are executing and EDGE project in a Samsung SmartTV.  In more powerful models (more memory and cpu) the execution is correct. but in some old TV models we receive the following  message:
    File:   file://c/........../EDGE_006/edge_includes/edge.2.0.1.min.js
    Line No:  135
Error Detail: RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded.
It seems that this happens depending on the complexity of the EDGE project, as for some simple projects it works.
we would like to adjust our EDGE project for this less powerful models modifiying animations and simplifying complexity, but we dont know where to start (which animations to remove, etc.)
Or if there are some parameters in the edge API to adjust in order to increase performance in low memory browsers.

Unless you know this DLL is using exceedingly lots of stack (at least
several dozens of MB) for whatever obscure reasons it is very unlikely
that running out of stack space is causing your problem. More likely
either the DLL does something nasty to a data pointer passed in to it or
you made an error in setting up the call to the DLL.
For instace if the DLL expects strings or array pointers to be passed in
    they need to
be allocated by the caller (here LabVIEW) and you need to
tell LabVIEW to do that in the diagram code.

Actually, the size constraint is on the size of the compiled P-Code, which means you should probably watch for different things. Things that don't compile down to P-Code tokens (e.g. string constants, embedded SQL) should be reviewed carefully. If you have a lot of embedded SQL (a common trap for those new to PB), you might want to consider encapsulating that in a DataWindow, which will be more network-traffic-efficient at run time anyway.
    Good luck.

You can't exceed the maximum, else you get error. The maximum is a huge number:
    Object
    Maximum sizes/numbers
    Databases in an instance
    2^31-1 = 2,147,483,647
    Dimensions in a database
    2^31-1 = 2,147,483,647
    Attributes in a dimension
    2^31-1 = 2,147,483,647
    Members in a dimension attribute
    2^31-1 = 2,147,483,647
    User-defined hierarchies in a dimension
    2^31-1 = 2,147,483,647
    Levels in a user-defined hierarchy
    2^31-1 = 2,147,483,647

    Hi Rawa,
You can use EAC or EMS to set the MaxSendSize. The default value of MaxSendSize is 10 MB.
If you use EAC, here is the steps:
Logon to EAC -> Mail flow -> Receive connectors -> settings-> type the Maximum send message size you want to set
If you use EMS, please use the cmdlet Rajith provided.
    Hope it helps.

">>>xxxxxxxxxatxxxxxxxx.co.il(reading confirmation): 552 Message size exceeds maximum message size"
And they also sent the headers....which is all Greek to me.  Being a very beginner computer user, I can't execute the good advice given here.
This is very strange since the emails so bounced only had 5 small pictures I had taken in my small, cheap dig camera, while other messages I had sent out
successfully before were probably 4 times as big.
Also, whose fault is it: my server RCN?  Microsoft?  I wonder...
I hope there's something easier for me to do to fix this problem?
Thanks ever so much for any help!  :)      Adela

It says to me that the message you sent was rejected along the way because it was too big.  Ask the e-mail administrator of the system that's bouncing it.

  • Error:  Debug Component exceeds maximum size (65535 bytes)

    Hi All,
It would seem that I have come across a limitation in the CAP file format for Java Card 2.2.1. When I run the Sun 2.2.1 converter I get the following output:
    Converting oncard package
Java Card 2.2.1 Class File Converter, Version 1.3
Copyright 2003 Sun Microsystems, Inc. All rights reserved. Use is subject to license terms.
error:  Debug Component exceeds maximum size (65535 bytes).
    Cap file generation failed.
conversion completed with 1 errors and 0 warnings. This also happens with JCDK 2.2.2. Is there any way around this limitation? I can instruct the compiler to not generate some of the debug output such as variable attributes, but this makes the debugger less than useful. I could not find anything in the JCVM spec for JC2.2.1 that mentions this limitation (I could have missed it very easily if it is there). Is this a limitation that will be lifted in new versions of the standard? This is tarting to be a bit of a problem as our code base has outgrown our development tools (no more debugger). Compiling and running without debug information works fine.
Any information on this would be much appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Shane

For those that are interested, I found this in the Java Card VM spec. u1 and u2 are 1 and 2 byte unsigned values respectively. It would appear that it is a limitation of the CAP file format. We have managed to work around this problem (parsing the debug component of the cap file was very informative) by shortening package names, reducing exception handling, and removing classes that we could do without.
It looks like this is removed for JC3.0 Connected Edition does not have this issue as it does not have CAP files, but JC2.2.2 and JC3.0 Classic Edition have this same issue. It would be nice if there was a converter/debugger combination that removed this limitation. If anyone knows of such a combination, I am all ears! I know for a fact that JCOP does not :(
    Cheers,
    Shane
    *6.14 Debug Component*
This section specifies the format for the Debug Component. The Debug Component contains all the metadata necessary for debugging a package on a suitably instrumented Java Card virtual machine. It is not required for executing Java Card programs in a non-debug environment.
The Debug Component references the Class Component (Section 6.8 "Class Component”), Method Component (Section 6.9 "Method Component”), and Static Field Component (Section 6.10 "Static Field Component”). No components reference the Debug Component.
The Debug Component is represented by the following structure:
    {code}
    debug_component {
    u1 tag
    u2 size
    u2 string_count
    utf8_info strings_table[string_count]
    u2 package_name_index
    u2 class_count
    class_debug_info classes[class_count]
    {code}
The items in the debug_component structure are defined as follows:
*tag* tag item has the value COMPONENT_Debug (12).
*size* The number of bytes in the component, excluding the tag and size items. The value of size must be greater than zero.

  • ORA-29279:SMTP permanent error:552 5.3.4 Message size exceeds fixed maximum

    Hi,
I can send attachments smaller than 25MB.
But my attachment is 27MB and it fails. Don't ask why I need to send this big file by email, I have to.
Where can I change this maximum size?
    - any parameter in utl_smpt?
    - any parameter in server where DB is located? (Linux 2.6.18-238.1.1.el5)
    - any parameter in smtp machine server?
    Thanks.
    Joaquín González
Edited by: Joaquin Gonzalez on Apr 12, 2012 11:46 AM

The actual error, "+552 5.3.4 Message size exceeds fixed maximum+", is from the smtp server. Oracle expects a 0 return code and instead get a 522 return code in the smtp server's response (to the DATA command). So Oracle throws an exception that in turn contains the error response of the smtp server.
Interesting that you did not get the error earlier - many smtp servers have the ceiling set a lot lower and you can expect this error after sending around 5MB of data.
There are ways around this. Send the attachment as multiple fragments using a compression technology like zip or rar (where it is fairly easy for the recipient to reconstruct the source from the pieces send).
There's also another problem. The 20+ MB e-mail may be accepted by the smtp server, but the POP3, IMAP (or Exchange?) account (mail drop) may not accept an e-mail of that size.
Success is also assuming that you are delivering that mail directly to the correct/target smtp server. If not, then that e-mail needs to be relayed via a number of intermediate smtp servers before reaching the target smtp server and domain.
And there is a good chance that one of these relay servers will object to the size of the e-mail and trigger a hard bounce response.
Keeping an attachment size down to at most 3 to 5 MB is IMO the better approach as that guarantees a better chance of delivery than a 20+ MB e-mail.

  • Windows Server 2008 R2 Security Event Log Maximum Size

I have a customer with logging requirements on domain controllers that are exceeding the maximum log size they have configured for the security log.  When they attempted to increase the maximum size of the security event log via Group Policy, the settings
did not take effect.  When an attempt was made to increase the security event log manually on the domain controller via the properties of the log, an error is generated whenever the value was changed.
The Maximum Log Size specified is not valid.  It is too large or too small. The Maximum Log Size will be set to the following: 196608 KB
The 196608 KB value is the value that it is currently set at.  Testing on other logs, application, system, has lead to the same result.
wevtutil.exe sl security /ms:<n> produces similar results.  There is no error message given but the value doesn't change when you run wevtutil.exe gl security
When viewing the registry value MaxSize under HKLM\Current Control Set\Services\EventLog\Security the change is reflected, but the log does not seem to get any larger.
What one would expect to be a two minute change in a group policy object has turned into something much more difficult.  Any idea what could be causing this?

Company Domain Policy (no event log settings)
Default Domain Controller Policy (no event logs settings)
Company Domain Controller Policy (...\Event Log\Maximum security log size 4194240 kilobytes)
The value was 196608 before, the plan was to change the group policy setting to 4194240 and I expected it to be that easy.  However, the values didn't change.
    4194240 is divisible by 64
Used multiple tools to try and change
    Group Policy
    Event Viewer
    wevtutil.exe
    registry editor
While some of the methods display a larger event log, the actual size of the event log still seems to be limited to 196608 kb.
    Thanks,
    Joe
