Datasource Lookup from WSAD using POJO - CastException looking up DB2 Data

I try to look up datasource from WSAD test server using stand alone POJO.
Code is like:
Hashtable properties = new Hashtable();
properties.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "com.ibm.websphere.naming.WsnInitialContextFactory");
properties.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, serviceURL);
properties.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "iiop://localhost:2813");
Context context = new InitialContext(properties);
ds = (DataSource) context.lookup("jdbc/myDS");
Context and datasource are set properly.
I get exception below when I look up datasource:
Exception in thread "P=646891 =0:CT" java.lang.ClassCastException: javax.naming.Reference
I think additional jar files are needed in class path.
What additional jar files do I need in build path to look up datasource?
I am using DB2. Datasource is properly configured in WSAD test server.

  • Lookup from table, which has 1:N relation with  Data package

    Hi,
    I have to look up for Sales Office, Sales district from 0Cust_Sales Masterdata, while loading data to 0FIAR_C03 (from 0FI_AR_4).
    0FI_AR_4 has fields -
    0Customer
    10000
    While 0CUST_SALES has
    Customer  Division  DistrCh. SalesOff   SalesDistr
    10000         10          20         1000         120
    10000          20         20          1500        121
    Whenever I am looking up for Sales Office, Sales Distr, Division,Distr chn. It is loading ONLY FIRST RECORD.
    I want to load both the records. I have written following code-
    SELECT DIVISION
           DISTR_CHAN
           SALESORG
           CUST_SALES
           OBJVERS
           SALES_DIST
           SALES_OFF
           INTO TABLE GT_REC_SET
           FROM /BI0/MCUST_SALES
           FOR ALL ENTRIES IN DATA_PACKAGE
           WHERE CUST_SALES = DATA_PACKAGE-DEBITOR AND
           OBJVERS = 'A'.
    IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
    SORT GT_REC_SET BY CUST_SALES.
    ENDIF.
    READ TABLE GT_REC_SET
    WITH KEY CUST_SALES = COMM_STRUCTURE-DEBITOR
    INTO GW_REC_SET
    BINARY SEARCH.
    IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
    result value of the routine
      RESULT = GW_REC_SET-DISTR_CHAN.
      ENDIF.
    Any solution will be a great help....

    " Read table with key" will return only first record.
    You may have to "loop at ... where" .
    And, even if you find two values, how are you going to set it? You have only one field RESULT, so the second will overwrite the first one.
    To make one row into two in this case, this logic will have to be applied in the start routine.

  • Look up of Data from DSO

    I have  DSO1 and DSO2 .I  am loading data from DSO1 to DSO3. But I need some more additional data from DSO2 . So , i need to write a Routine in Transformations  while sending data from DSO1 to DSO3 and needs to look up to DSO2 for some additional fields.
    All the 3 DSO 's have the same Key Fields.Can anyone throw some light on how to go about this? What is the Routine I need to use (End Routine I guess)
    Regards,
    Samir

    Hi,
            How can I load the data from DSO1 to DSO2 . They both have  different Set of Data eventhough they have same Key Fields.
    I  want to consolidate the data from DSO1 and DSO2 into DSO3. Soi , I am loading data from DSO1 to DSO3 and  I need to look up to DSO2 for  three fields.
    Can anyone suggest me whether this is the Right approach. Apart from this , I have another DOubt
    1) When I load data from DSO1 to DSO3 and pick the fields from DSO2 using END ROUTINE LOOK UP betweeen DSO1 and DSO2 , what will be the status of these 3 fields in Transfomrations between DSO1 and DSO3. Do I need to maintain Transformations as Routine or just leave them as it is?
    I hope I am clear.

  • NameNotFoundException when looking up datasource jndi from standalone clien

    Hi,
    I'm trying to lookup datasource jndi from standalone client, but always get exceptions.
    I configured an oralce datasource with jndi name "oracleDataSource". When looking it up in servlet, I can get connection.
    In order to test it from standalone client, I created following code:
    public class DataSourceTest
    * Attempt to authenticate the user.
    public static void main(String[] args)
    String datasource = null;
    if (args.length == 1 ) {
    datasource = args[0];
    System.out.println("datasource = "+datasource);
    if(datasource == null)
    datasource = "oracleDataSource";
    try{
    Connection conn = null;
    Properties env = new Properties();
    env.put("java.naming.factory.initial","com.sun.jndi.cosnaming.CNCtxFactory");
    env.put("java.naming.provider.url", "iiop://localhost:3700");
    Context initial = new InitialContext(env);
    if(datasource != null){
    DataSource ds = (DataSource)initial.lookup(datasource);
    conn = ds.getConnection();
    if(conn != null){
    System.out.println("datasource is gotten.");
    conn.close();
    else
    System.out.println("datasource is error.");
    System.exit(0);
    } catch (Exception ex) {
    System.err.println("Caught an unexpected exception!");
    ex.printStackTrace();
    When running, I get following exception:
    [java] datasource = oracleDataSource
    [java] Caught an unexpected exception!

    I also tried many other methods but always got exceptions. What's wrong with it? How can I lookup the datasource jndi from standalone client?
    Thanks in advance!

    Thank Tuan!
    I tried. When running, the server will read security.properties and ejb.properties. But I didn't use ejb and I didn't know how to configure ejb.properties, so I let ejb.properties empty. The security.properties is as following:
    client.sendpassword=true
    server.trustedhosts=*
    interop.ssl.required=false
    interop.authRequired.enabled=false
    interop.nameservice.ssl.required=false
    The result is:
    [java] javax.naming.CommunicationException: Can't find SerialContextProvider
    [java] at com.sun.enterprise.naming.SerialContext.getProvider(SerialContext.java:63)
    [java] at com.sun.enterprise.naming.SerialContext.lookup(SerialContext.java:120)
    [java] at javax.naming.InitialContext.lookup(InitialContext.java:347)
    [java] at com.tbcn.ceap.test.cilent.DataSourceTest.main(DataSourceTest.java:42)
    Also, I tried it with ACC. In sun sample ConverterClient.java under rmi-iiop/simple, I added following code under with ACC and without ACC. With ACC, I can get connection. But without ACC, I can't get it.
    try{
              DataSource ds = (DataSource)initial.lookup("oracleDataSource");
              Connection conn = ds.getConnection();
              if(conn != null){
              System.out.println("datasource oracleDataSource gotten.");
              conn.close();
              else
              System.out.println("oracleDataSource is error.");
    Does it means that we must lookup datasource jndi with ACC?

  • Using Portable datasource lookup for a java client in OC4J 10g

    Hi,
    I'm in the process of porting a standalone java client to j2ee. At the moment I have a thick java client which uses jndi to access a global datasource configured on the OC4J server (10.1.2.0.2) and it works fine.
    Using the 'Services Guide' I decided the next step was to deploy the client as a J2EE application. At the moment the j2ee application only contains the descriptors (i.e application-client.xml and orion-application-client.xml packaged under META-INF in a .jar. This is, in turn, packaged in an .ear along with application.xml (again under META-INF.)
    This is where I'm hitting problems. The following config produces a 'javax.naming.NameNotFoundException' error
    application.xml
    <application>
         <display-name>appName</display-name>
         <description>appDescription</description>
    </application>
    application-client.xml :-
    <application-client>
         <display-name>appName</display-name>
         <resource-ref>
              <res-ref-name>jdbc/MaptoTest</res-ref-name>
              <res-type>javax.sql.DataSource</res-type>
              <res-auth>Container</res-auth>
         </resource-ref>
    </application-client>
    orion-application-client.xml :-
    <orion-application-client>
         <resource-ref-mapping name="jdbc/MaptoTest" location="jdbc/Test"/>
    </orion-application-client>
    jndi.properties :-
    java.naming.factory.initial=com.evermind.server.ApplicationClientInitialContextFactory
    java.naming.provider.url=opmn:ormi://<machine>:6004:<OC4J_INSTANCE>/appName
    java.naming.security.principal=<USERNAME>
    java.naming.security.credentials=<PASSWORD>
    client.class
    ctx = new InitialContext();
    ds = (DataSource)ctx.lookup("java:comp/env/jdbc/jdbc/MaptoTest"));
    "jdbc/Test" was configured through OAS and is present in data-sources.xml (it is the ejb-location property).
    I'm running the client through Jdeveloper. I've used SJSAS previously and was use to configuring and deploying a application module through it's own tool. SJSAS also has a tool (appclient) for running the client. Is there something similar I should be using in OC4J?
    The services guide only mentions web.xml and ejb-jar for portable datasource lookup but I assume it's also possible using application-client.xml.
    It seems to me that my descriptors don't mention the j2ee application explicitly. Am I missing an entry in one of the xml descriptors. Any help would be appreciated this is driving me crazy!
    Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Hi Geoff,
    The configurations for your client.xml files look ok. Question: where did you configure the datasources.xml i.e. under j2ee/<OC4J_Name>/config or under the application-deployments/<appname>, kindly check and let us know.
    Thanks,
    Deepak

  • Calling non ejb from ejb using jndi lookup

    Is it possible to call a non ejb java object from an ejb using a jndi lookup?
    For example, we have a java class where main registers itself with our application server (JBoss 3.0.1). We have a test client that can use jndi to look up the object, but we can't get an ejb inside the application server to use the object.
    Are we trying to do the impossible? If my question is not clear, please let me know so I can try to clarify.
    Thanks

    JNDI uses factories to create objects.
    It's possible that JBoss has a Bean Factory which you can use to create your instance.
    Tomcat has a Bean factory in its JNDI implementation. I use it just as you have indicated.
    The JBoss documenation may help?

  • Calling BRM from UDF using JNDI lookup with @EJB annotation

    Hi Experts
    I am trying to implement a UDF to invoke my BRM Rules set via JNDI Lookup instead of a SOAP Channel lookup.
    I have had a look at the following links/docs:
    Calling BRM from UDF using Public API
    http://www.gleanster.com/system/resources/W1siZiIsIjIwMTIvMDgvMDcvMjAvNDcvNTAvNDMvVGhpbmdzX1lvdV9TaG91bGRfS25vd19hYm91dF9TQVBfTmV0V2VhdmVyX0JSTS5wZGYiXV0/Things%20You%20Should%20Know%20about%20SAP%20NetWeaver%20BRM.pdf
    For item 1 above, the example looks really good, but it doesnt explain how I get access to the following required imports from my UDF:
    import com.sap.brms.qrules.ejb.*;
    import com.sap.brms.qrules.engine.AbstractProject;
    import com.sap.brms.qrules.engine.RuleEngine;
    import com.sap.brms.qrules.engine.RulesetContext;
    import javax.ejb.EJB;
    The second document is really good as well, but I could not figure out how to get it to work from my UDF.
    So, can anyone help me to understand specifically what is required to get this to work?
    Is is possible to invoke the rule set from my UDF?
    How do I give my UDF access to all the required jars/imports?
    I have manage to create a new DC (Development Component) with a public part and this enables me to get my code to compile on my local PC but I am not able to activate it due to the server not having access to the same java packages as my local copy.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    You resolve the dependency by importing the required jars with using the dependency tab for the mapping program.
    As stipulated before, I have managed to resolve the dependency issue but I have now getting the same error as in the forum: Calling BRM from UDF using Public API
    The specific error is:
    com.sap.engine.services.cross.PortableRemoteObjectContainer.narrow(PortableRemoteObjectContainer.java:238)
    Has anyome manage to get invoke a BRM Ruleset using JNDI?

    I made an iMovie, 6.0.3 using music from iTunes and photos from the Internet. It looked fine on iMovie, but when I uploaded it to youtube, some of the photo near the beginning were corrupted on youtube. I tried a different photo, and the corruption took place at the same moment of the video. How do I prepare the video for export to get it ready for youtube? I wasn't sure whether to clik web or web streaming. Am I supposed to clik Quick Time after I clik Share?

    I unfortunately cannot remember where I got the 'trrndlines' plugin... I assume that it must have been from CFX (as it is located under /Users/Dom/Library/iMovie/Plug-ins/cfx/XXXtrrndlines.bundle).
    As for what it does, I also do not know, as I do not think I ever used it in my previous video projects.
    At this stage, I think I just need to uninstall it so that iMovie doesnt try to use it.
    Do you know how to uninstall a CFX plugin in iMovie?
    NOTE: I have re-installed iMovie 6.0.4 (instead of iMovie 6.0.3), but still encounter the same issue.

    After importing images from my card using LR 5.4, the GPS data does not show in the metadata panel. However, when I look at the imported images using Bridge, the GPS data is visible. Anybody know why LR is not seeing the GPS data? Camera is Canon 6D.

    Ok, the issue seem to be solved. The problem was this:
    The many hundred files (raw and xmp per image) have been downloaded by ftp in no specific order. Means - a couple of files in the download queue - both raw and xmps. Most of the time, the small xmp files have been finished loading first and hence the "last change date" of these xmp files was OLDER than the "last change date" of the raw file - Lightroom then seem to ignore the existence of the xmp file and does not read it during import.(a minute is enough to run into the problem)
    By simply using the ftp client in a way that all large raw files get downloaded first followed by the xmp files, we achieved that all "last changed dates" of the xmp files are NEWER than the related raw files. (at least not older)
    And then LR is reading them and all metadata information has been set / read correctly.
    So this is solved.

    Initially, you asked if you can hardwire your MBA to the TC. The answer is yes, by using the optional USB Ethernet adapter that Apple provides. However, in order for your MBA to access the TC's internal or USB-attached HDD, it would need to establish a network connection to it. This would be true of any NAS device on an Ethernet network. Therein, lies the problem. Your MBA cannot connect to two networks simultaneously.
    One option then, would be to have two separate iTunes Media folders; one on the MBA & the other on the TC. This way, you can download the music to your MBA when connected to the Internet at the AirPort lounge, and then use iTunes Consolidate Library feature to transfer the audio files to the TC's iTunes Media Folder location. A great program to help maintain multiple iTunes Librarys and/or Media Folders, that you may want to consider, is PowerTunes.

  • Code Sample: Easy RFC Lookup From XSLT Mappings Using a Java Helper Class

    Hi everyone,
    This is just a shameless plug for my article: <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/05a3d62e-0a01-0010-14bc-adc8efd4ee14">Easy RFC Lookup From XSLT Mappings Using a Java Helper Class</a>. I hope you're interested in reading it, and I welcome your comments in this thread.
    Kind regards,
    Thorsten

    Hi Stefan. Thanks for your post. I have already done that. It still does not work. As a base for my java helper class I have usesd Thorstens code.
    The problem is quite confusing. I will try to ouline both issues here.
    First of all, when try to test from within the Operation Mapping, I always get a java error saying it cannot find the communication channel (it is there and working because I have tested it with the RFCLookup in graphical mapping). I have found a way to work around this, and that is to uncheck the "Use SAP XMLToolkit" checkbox --> switch to test tab, enter my ReceiverService in the parameter tab (header parameter) --> switch back to Definition tab, check the "Use SAP XMLToolkit" checkbox --> switch to Test tab and run the test. Then the XSLT and call to java helper class will work. Of course this is not really something you want to do all the time. Maybe there is a bug.
    Secondly, it never works when I try to do it "live". I am using a file adapter to pick up one file, convert it and a file adapter to drop the converted file. I get the following error code in SXMB_MONI.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
    <!--  Request Message Mapping   -->
    <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="">

      <SAP:Code area="MAPPING">TRANSFORMER_CONF_EX</SAP:Code>
      <SAP:P1>ATJ_Accounting2XML_Accounting.xsl</SAP:P1>
      <SAP:P2>http://rd.accounting.logica.com</SAP:P2>
      <SAP:P3>fd552c30-bad9-11dd-9761-c21dac1b818c</SAP:P3>
      <SAP:P4>-1</SAP:P4>
      <SAP:AdditionalText />
      <SAP:Stack>TransformerConfigurationException triggered while loading XSLT mapping ATJ_Accounting2XML_Accounting.xsl; http://rd.accounting.logica.comfd552c30-bad9-11dd-9761-c21dac1b818c-1</SAP:Stack>
      <SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
      </SAP:Error>
    Using an XSLT without a call to a java helper class, works just fine.
    I am totally at a loss here. Any more input would be much appreciated.
    /Patrik

    It's not possible to read from a file without using classes from the core API*. You'll have to get clarification from your instructor as to which classes are and are not allowed.

    *Unless you write a bunch of JNI code to replicate what the java.io classes are doing.

    Looking to move data from OSX 9 to Mountain Lion using external hard drive?

    Thanks.  I'd like to get rid of this OSX 9 after retrieving a few files.  If I wanted to erase it's hard drive before I do so, would powering off then on again and immediately start tapping the F10 button do the trick as it does with a PC?

  • Every single photo event has disappeared from my iphoto.  it looks like i've never used it.  where are they?

    every single phot event has disappeared from my iphoto.  it looks as if i've never used it.  where did they go?

    The All Images is a search of all images on the hard drive and would include those in the library.  if you deleted all of the photos listined in the All Images that would include all of those in the library.
    To check to see if you have any of your original photos in the library open the iPhoto Library package as shown in this screenshot:
    Then open the Originals folder and check the subfolders to see if the image files are there or not.
    DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES TO THE CONTENTS OF THE LIBRARY PACKAGE.
    If the sub folders are empty you have trashed your library.  If the files are there then you can start over with a new library and import just the Originals folder into it.
