Date format of footer in pdf

How to change the date format of footer from dd/mm/yyyy to Monday 09 August 2010 when we down load the report in pdf file

Hi,
Revenue is a sample column. You can pull any measure column used in the report.
And put this formula in a separate new column. And in the narrative view use this column number. For Ex- if the number of the column in the criteria is 15, then mention @15 in the narrative view.
NOTE-Rows to display in narrative view should be set to 1.
And in the formula-CEILING(CAST(COUNT("F1 Revenue"."1-01 Revenue (Sum All)") as DOUBLE)/ 25)
25 refers to the number of row count to display. You can define the number according to your requirement.

  • Hw can I generate XY graphs directly in a vector data format for printing ie pdf

A further question re. Printing of Graphs
There are many similar questions but none where the answers are acceptably adiquite or two or three were the link was broken,
"Developer exchange forums have been moved" and a pointer to the new
site, unfort it was hard to find or guess the rest of the link.
    So here is my angle on this problem;
    So far I have tried;
Using property node: "App.  Printing.Default Printer" to select the printer to use, then
    Using Report Functions to print controls;
New Report, to generate a new report reference
    Set Report Orientation
    Set Report Margins
    Set Report Font
    Set Report Header Text
    Set Report Font
    Set Report Footer Text
    loop for each page
Set Report Footer Text,     With page number
Append Control Image to Report,      several times
    New Report Page
Until the end of the last page
    Print Report
    Dispose Report
Initially using existing XY-Graph controls from the front panel.  These
are on a page of a Tab control to hide these controls while not in use
and allow them to be hidden while generating the printout.
Unfortunately when this page is hidden any graph scales set to
autoscale don't, (normally don't need to and would otherwise be a waste
of processor time), resulting in graph plots going off scale or
becoming a line along the axis.
An issue is that what is printed appears to be read from the screen, so resolution is much
lower than required for for printing, resulting in rather pixellated
printed versions. These prints will usually be emailed, so tried the
pdf995 "printer driver" but the resulting pdf file size is rather large.
Currently trying Plot-XY on a much larger picture so as to get
adequate resolution for printing, however suspect this will result in
much larger pdf files and probably cause other problems.
The preferred solution in this case will probably be to generate print
output, instead of based on raster images (ie jpg or png), but on a
vector format, maybe via postscript or directly in pdf format.
Similar graphs currently printed from Excel via pdf995
(or OpenOffice) result in files around 20 kb per page. these can be printed at any size
(at least upto 64 times) without becoming pixellated, so assume these
    are vector based.
Currently a page with 4 XY Graph controls uses around 40 to 45 kb per
page but resolution is poor and overcoming that may push file size up
to 150 to 200 kb per page, and the whole job can be 50 to 100 pages.
Are there any functions to generate XY graphs directly in a vector data format preferably in pdf or via PostScript format.
    Cheers
    Darryl

    Hi Darryl,
I was able to reproduce the issue you were seeing, in which a report generation was taking up a large amount of space per page in a PDF utility. I found; however, using my attached VI (notice that it is set to *.png) and the CutePDF utility (free download at http://www.cutepdf.com/) I was able to get a per page size of about 10 KB. Also using the png I found that the image quality seemed to be quite high.
Please try incorporating this solution into your application and see if it reduces your file sizes.
Thanks and have a good evening!

  • Date format when getting a PDF document with RESTful changes

    Hi all,
I have a simple document with a date concatenation (as a string) for DateFrom - DateTo (for example "1/4/2015 - 30/4/2015")
When I am in WebI I can see it in this format, even if I export it to PDF or Excel.
However when I open it using BO BI 4.1 SDK RESTful in PDF or Excel, the date changes to "American format" like this : "4/1/2015 - 4/30/2015"
Is there a way to avoid this, either as an option/parameter in the RESTful call or in the configuration of the BI server?
    Thanks

    Hello Enrique,
Are you using the same user in Webi vs REST? I ask because the locale used is the PVL (prefered viewing locale) one.
You can override the locale using a http header : X-SAP-PVL. But, you have to be very careful because you have to set the same header value in subsequent RESTful calls.
Indeed, internally, we handle one document instance for each used locale.

    Anthony

  • I have a acrobat reader, can I import text delimited data format to a PDF Form so that it can auto fill into forms that was created? If not, what about FDF and XML data

I have a acrobat reader, can I import text delimited data format to a PDF Form so that it can auto fill into forms that was created? If not, what about FDF and XML data

Yes, you can do all of that via Tools - Forms - More Form Options - Import Data, if you have Acrobat.
If you only have the free Reader then you can still do it, but it requires a script.

  • XIR2 - Date format problem in pdf file when scheduled to refresh

We have a number of Deski reports that are scheduled to refresh daily and then be saved as pdfs to a network drive.  Despite the date format being correctly displayed in the reports stored in the respository, when the scheduled jobs save the reports as pdfs, it is changing the date format to the American format, i.e. 11/13/2007 instead of 13/11/2007.  I've checked both the Date/Time and Regional Settings on the server and they are set correctly.  If I log into Deski on the server and open a report and manually save it as a pdf, it saves it with the UK format.
So what do I need to change to get the scheduled job to use the UK date format?

    Hi Anne,
If you schedule reports through Infoview then please perform below steps.
    - Login to Infovinfoview -> go to Preferences.
    - Change the My interface locale is to "English (UK)" and My current Timezone to appropriate time zone under Genera tab.
    - Log off and login again.
    - Try to schedule the report to PDF or any other format and check the issue.
If you schedule reports through CMC, then change Timezone setting to appropriate timezone in Preferences and schedule the reports.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Purna.

  • Date format on report

    Hi Everyone!
I have a date format that is in the footer of my report. The format is set with the following: fmDay Month DD RRRR HH:MI AM and this is what I want, but when it prints out I get the following: Monday September 24 2001 11:0 AM . I would think I should get Monday September 24 2001 11:00 AM . I need the other part of the minute to show up. Now, it does show up if I have Monday September 24 2001 11:15 AM. I really need for the whole date format to show up. If I change the format to mm/dd/rrrr HH:MI AM then I don't get the day which I really need to show up in the footer.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    ~Vannette ([email protected])

Please change your current date format [to]
fmDay Month DD RRRR fmHH:MI AM
    Neeraj Vannette -
To explicate, recall that FM is a toggle. Your first
FM set the format to suppress all blanks and leading
zeroes, so 11:01 became 11:1. The added FM sets back
to normal mode, so everything after the first FM is
zero/blank suppressed, after the second FM is not.

  • How do I auto-update the date (in a footer)  in Pages 5.2.2 ?

I have inserted the date into the footer of my document. I am running Pages 5.2.2 on Mavericks.
I would like the date to auto-update to today's date.  I found a post from 2013 ( How to auto-update Time and Date?), but my version of pages doesn't work as described.  The only choice is update to today's date as a button I can manually click, but there doesn't seem to be an auto-update check box anymore.  Is there a new way to do it or has the feature been removed?

    Hi Cindy,
    Click once in the Footer.
    Menu > Insert > Date & Time.
Double click to select the Date & Time in the Footer and choose a Date & Time format
And there is also the Set to Today button.
Waiting several minutes (just enough time for a cup of coffee) and then clicking the Set to Today button, the time changes from 9:53 pm to 9:59 pm.
I can't wait until tomorrow to see if the date changes, but I think it will .
Another way (clunky) is to insert a single-cell table somewhere in your document and type =now and format to your liking.
As far as I know, Date & Time will update after you Save and then Open your document. Please call back after you test.
    Regards,
    Ian.
