Datepicker set Maximum value

I had this question come up recently.
"Can we make it so user's cannot select a date after Today?"
I found this blog:

It states in there this info:
The settings Minimum Date and Maximum Date define the minimum and maximum date selectable in the calendar. This way you can restrict what date a user can select, a very nice addition. These three date picker properties can all be defined in three ways:
Absolute, for instance 16-APR-2010
Relative to today’s date, for instance +1y+1m+1w sets the allowed date to 1 year, 1 month and 1 week after today.
Item value, the date is determined from the value of a page item, for instance &P1_DATE.
You can limit to today's date by adding +1d-1d

And put Default data type to 'PL/SQL expression'

How to prevent numericstepper from setting the value to the defined Maximum when a number greater than maximum is entered in by keyboard and user hits the "Enter" key.

I need to set the Maximum so that the use can use the mouse to change the value of numericstepper (and not go over a certain number), but at the same time I have to allow the user to enter their value by typing in the text field. When the user enters a number greater than the Maximum, I disable the "Ok" button of the dialog and show a red warning(error message). The issue is that the user can hit "Enter" and numeric stepper would set the value to the Maximum and the dialog box would close and the rest of code would run. I want the numericstepper not to change the value and keep showing the warning even if the user hits the "Enter".
Note: Setting maxChar does not help since my maximum is 1000, and user might enter 5555
I would appreciate the help.

The issue is that if I set the maximum value of stepper 1 greater than the max value that I want, then the user can select an invalid value(of myMax + 1) when he clicks on the UP arrow of the numeric stepper(which is not acceptable for what I am working on).
I need to preserve the users invalid number, while not letting the user to select an invalid number by clicking UP key.
I noticed that when the user enters a number greater than the Maximum, and then click on the down arrow, it would set the value to 1 less than the maximum. This is not acceptable either.

Set default value with mouse click?

Hi guys,
I'm new enough to LabVIEW, and indeed this forum, so I hope you can help. I'm guessing it's a simple problem, but I can't figure out how to do it.
I've got a cRIO taking in 4 analog voltages. Each voltage is from a linear potentiometer which is measuring suspension displacment on a Formula Student race car.
I have a simple formula set up to convert input voltage to displacment. I've set up a table of inputs which allows me to set maximum, minimum,(from previous sensor calibration) and "stationary" value of each sensor.
The "stationary" value is what the sensor should be reading when the car is stopped. This is then used as a baseline for either positive or negative displacments.
My problem is that each time a different driver gets in the car, the susspension is adjusted, or fuel is added, the "stationary" value will be different. I then have to manually set the stationary value back to whatever the current value is when the car is stopped, press "make current value default", and save the VI before continuing.
What I would like, is a "calibrate" button which I can press that sets the "stationary" value to whatever the current input voltage is. This way, I wouldn't have to reset 4 values each time the car is modified.
If you have any ideas on how to do this, please let me know.
I'll attach my VI once I get back to the laptop where it is saved!

As you have discovered you cannot change the default values on a running VI.
The best way to do what you want is to use a configuration file. There is a set of VIs specifically designed for that purpose on the File I/O palette. When the user presses the "calibrate" button, the values are saved to the file. When the program starts it reads the file and sets the controls to the values in the file. You can even keep different sets for each driver, if the data is consistent enough.
Read the detailed help files for the configuration VIs and look at the examples. These will show you how to get started.

Please find below the answers to your queries.
1.Let us suppose that you have already posted a document with a payment method C( say for 255000 Euros). Later you go configure your company code specific payment method C and stipulate a limit of 250000 Euros as maximum amount . The maximum amount stipulation does not bind this invoice item which was created earlier. This item can be paid via payment method C. The maximum limit applies to documents posted after completion of your configuration.
2.In standard SAP payment amount limit is per payment method level, and cannot be set at payment run level.
The alternative option would be adding a "user exit" with the help of ABAP Team for this specific purpose. The second alternative, though not practicable, would be reviewing the proposal run and making the necessary changes to restrict the total payment amount.

Set maximum record time?

Can I set maximum record time in Logic 8? Recording an hour-long live program unsupervised, & I'd like it to stop afterwards.
(I don't know any problem with continuing recording for hours until the hard drive is full? But it's not necessary.)

You can use the Auto-Punch In/Out function to set Logic stop recording automatically.
Also, set the bar value for the project end (at the transportbar, under the tempo).
For How long you can record depends on you HD capacity, but also the file format (aif,wav,caf...) the bit depth and the sample rate.
each format has its own limit.
Refer to user manual and check for the best file format for your purpose.

Maximum value of Processes in Oracle 11g

In our application, we do get the following error frequently.
ORA-12516, TNS:listener could not find available handler with matching protocol stack
When i searched about it, I learnt that the processes /sessions used might be exceeded.
So, I'm trying to alter the values of the system parameters - Processes & sessions for my DB.
The following link says the maximum value for PROCESSES is 'operating system dependent'

The DB Host machine is Windows Server Enterprise and its 32-bit machine.

I checked the v$resource_limit table,
Resource Name    CurrentUtilization Max_Utilization Initial_Allocation Limit_Value
processes     119          150     150     150
sessions     124          158          248     248
I could see the current value for processes is 119 here. When i checked v$process few hours back, it was 145.
I could not use the command "ulimit -a" as its a DB installed in Windows box.
Can you help me to find out how i can find the value for Windows OS?

I don't think theres a specific parameter to achieve this, but you can set the value of rdisp/gui_auto_logout to 10 in one of the instances and create a new logon group for this users.

How set maximum of characters for the columns

Hello I use a JTable and I want to set maximum of characters for the columns.
For example column 1 max 10 characters, column 2 max 20 characters, etc..
How can I do this?

The principle is as follows: a table uses certain input components for editing a cell value, e.g. a JCheckBox for Boolean-type values or a JTextField for textual/numerical values. By default, a JTextField doesn't have any size limit, so you can enter as many chars as you want. In order to change this behaviour, you'll have to
1.) create a JTextField that does have a size limit and
2.) set a CellEditor on the JTable which uses this manipulated JTextField.
An easy way for 1.) is to create a custom Document (the internal data representation for text components, the M-part of the MVC -- see javax.swing.text.Document) that doesn't accept any text beyond a given limit, e.g.:

Setting Maximum Server memory online

We have found that the maximum server memory set in our SQL Server 2008 R2 production server is the default 21GB where as the physical memory in our server is only 12GB. Hence I am planning to reconfigure it 9GB. My question is that ,can I reset
the max server memory online in the production server with the following command-:

Sorry, I was talking about MAX SERVER MEMORY. Requested to change MIN SERVER MEMORY? Do you have something else running in the server apart from SQL Server? If its only SQL Server with a single instance, you can leave as default.

I decided to keep ascii format for now because tdm file has double size. I would like to ask you if there is the possibility to generate TDM-files from ascii-files and save them in another place by using dataplugin VBscript. So I need to launch from diadem dataplugin a script like this:

I know that it's no possibile to use diadem commands in dataplugin. Are there some alternative solutions?
I tryed to create vbscript dataplugin that for every ascii file indexed writes a file path to access mdb database and by diadem macro loads ascii file from mbd_file and saves it in another folder. I don't think that is the best solution. Is very long.

Illustrator won't run: "unable to set maximum number of files to be opened"

I have an intel macbook pro (core duo with 2GB ram) and a copy of purchased adobe creative suite 2. Other applications in the suite like photoshop, acrobat, etc can run on my mac without any problem. But when I try to run illustrator, it just shows an error message "Unable to set maximum number of files to be opened" and quits. I also installed a trial version of illustrator cs3 and got the same problem. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Problem setting initial value for LOV

Hello, everyone. This seems like it should be simple, but it's giving me lots of problems. I am trying to create my first LOV. I have a messageLovInput item called PFedFilingStatus. From the Property Inspector, I can set an Initial Value of "02", which displays when I run the page, and lets me change it and validate it using the associated LOV.
What I would rather do is set the initial value programmatically, but here are my problems:
If I set the value like this:
OAMessageLovInputBean lovText = (OAMessageLovInputBean)pageLayout.findIndexedChildRecursive("PFedFilingStatus");
lovText.setText("02");
then the field displays properly at run time, but can't be changed. The LOV runs, but any value I select flips back to "02"
If I set the value like this:
lovText.setDefaultValue("02");
then nothing seems to happen at run time. The value is not displayed at all.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks for your help.

everything is working fine but now the problem is couple of fields that I have in wa_kblp are with different names in bseg table and hence they are not updating... I tried putting the following logic within the loop :

but it's only setting the value of the first line item and not working for the multiple line items, can you please tell me how can do this?

I tried your code and it worked fine but after I put this code I am getting another issue. within the loop I had a code to make the fields non modifiable on the screen and was working fine but now what's happening is it's making the all the lines uneditable except the one with data on it (which is completely opposite), this is what I have coded:

Need help in Setting a value of an attribute

Hi,
I have a requirement where i need to set a value for an attribute in duplicate popup.
I am able to retrieve the current values with the method
o_partner->get_properties( IMPORTING es_attributes = x_attributes ).
After fetching the value, i am programatically setting
x_attributes-Soldto = 'X'.
o_partner->set_properties( exPORTING is_attributes = x_attributes ).
          lv_collection1->add( o_partner ).
          lr_core = cl_crm_bol_core=>get_instance( ).
          lr_core->modify( ).
I am not sure, what is missed out in my logic but the value is not shown on WEB UI.
Any pointers will b of gr8 help.
