Daylight

Hi all,
Problem with Date format
I am successful in formatting the date in my last thread. I am reposting it because its been a long time it got posted. Thats why I am reposting it. Here in the query, my problem is the daylight savings, from oct 30 2005 an xtra hour was added for that day...means the hours will be like 1:00 2:00 2:00 3:00......so in the package i was using, we send a value and it returns date.....values in normal days will be like 1,2,3,4,...24 but for this day its like 1,2,25,3,4,.....24....then how can i convert that 25 into same 2:00 AM for that day.
Hope this is understandable...

I guess you might have to fix (update) the table as to first choice.
An example of DECODE as follows:
ops$marcio@LNX10GR2> var x varchar2(4)
ops$marcio@LNX10GR2> exec :x := '2500'
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

2500
ops$marcio@LNX10GR2> select decode(:x, '2500', '0200', :x ) from dual;
DECODE(:X,'2500','0200',:X)
0200
1 row selected.
ops$marcio@LNX10GR2> exec :x := '2000'
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
X
2000
ops$marcio@LNX10GR2> select decode(:x, '2500', '0200', :x ) from dual;
DECODE(:X,'2500','0200',:X)
2000
1 row selected.
