Best regards,

Hi,
Please ensure that sapxpg executable is located in your SAP Kernel directory where you have applied new kernel.
Whats the permission of sapxpg executable ? Check them.
Also check SM21 , dev_sapxpg and the required Work Process traces along with the testing of  SAPXPG_DBDEST_<hostname> RFC. This will be helpful in finding the possible causes for the same.
Please refer this[ useful thread|DB 13 (CHECKDB) Can't exec external program (No such file or directory)] which is describing the same symptoms along with this [informative link|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/c4/3a80c4505211d189550000e829fbbd/content.htm].

  • Error after implementing SP11 Patch 5 for 7.5 MS

    After implementing SP11 Patch 5 for BPC 7.5 the SPRunConversion function (which worked find under SP07) no longer works.  Every time that the function runs an error FX-160 is generated indicating that there is No Entity selected.
    I have modified all of the applications, optimized all of the applications, and reprocessed all of the rate related dimension files.
    Has anyone else run into this issue with the stored procedure after upgrading to patch 5 on SP11?

    Hey Experts,
    other templates working fine (personell admin. personell time, organizational management, travelmngt.)!
    The templates running in the 3.5 BW....but since the update of our testsystem the e-recruiting templates give back these errors.
    We dont wanna initialize the migration of templates and other objects to 7.0 now. Maybe in a few months.
    Could it be that several (in my case the e-Recruiting Templates/Queries) 3.5 objects never be running without migration?
    Thx for your answers!!!

  • J2ee startup (errors) after SAP kernel upgrade

    Guys,
    Not sure if anyone has seen this before, I have read the forums, and seen simular, but not exactly the same....
    When trying to start the j2ee engine (add-in installation) the dev_jcontrol file contains the following error;
    [Thr 01] JStartupICheckFrameworkPackage: can't find framework package /usr/sap/EBG/SYS/exe/run//usr/sap/EBG/DVEBMGS00/exe/sapjvm_5/l
    ib/jvmx.jar

    re/lib/iqlib.jar
    this has only just started occurring since applying the latest kernel patch.  We have not installed the SAPJVM, but the framework properties seem to be looking for this.  Can the framework settings be changed, and if so where?

  • OFFLINE backup and DB13 jobs configuratins error in MSCS cluster with OFS

    Hello,
    We have recently installed SAP ERP 6.0 EhP4 SR1 in MSCS cluster using Oracle Fail Safe.
    The installation is successful and all the failover scenarios work fine.
    I need to schedule offline backups and DB13 jobs, which is not possible in current scenario as once the database shuts down it fails over to node2.
    I am following sapnote 657999 to install standalone gateway on both the nodes of the cluster and assigned the service to ORACLE<SID> group. the gw<SID> is different from the ERP<SID>.
    However, the  service SAP<gwSID>_<gwSN> fail to come up with the following error.
    The service SAPSGA_30 cannot be started on local computer
    error 1067: the process terminated unexpectedly.
    The ../SapCluster/sapgw and associated directories have full permission.
    Following are the contents of the profiles in ../SapCluster/sapgw
    default.pfl
    SAPDBHOST = ORACLEPRD
    gw30.pfl
    SAPSYSTEMNAME = SGA
    INSTANCE_NAME = GW30
    SAPSYSTEM = 30
    DIR_PROFILE=C:\WINDOWS\SapCluster\sapgw
    DIR_EXECUTABLE=C:\WINDOWS\SapCluster\sapgw
    DIR_INSTANCE=C:\WINDOWS\SapCluster\sapgw
    SAPLOCALHOST = ORACLEPRD
    SAPLOCALHOSTFULL = ORACLEPRD
    startgw.pfl
    SAPSYSTEMNAME = SGA
    INSTANCE_NAME = GW30
    SAPSYSTEM = 30
    DIR_EXECUTABLE = C:\WINDOWS\SapCluster\sapgw
    DIR_PROFILE = C:\WINDOWS\SapCluster\sapgw
    DIR_INSTANCE = C:\WINDOWS\SapCluster\sapgw
    _GW=gwrd.exe
    Start_Program_00 = local $(DIR_EXECUTABLE)\$(_GW) pf=$(DIR_PROFILE)\gw30.pfl
    Now as the service is a part of my ORACLE<ERP SID> group, everytime I try to bring the group online, it fails due to the gw service and toggles many times in the two nodes before coming to rest on one node withfailed gw service and database in the  up condition.
    Any insight in this regard will be really helpful.
    Thanks
    Nischal

    Hello,
    Yes we were able to configure offline backups.
    We opted to install standalone gateway on both nodes and added it to the DB group. That provides the essential shell console.
    You need to follow the SAP Note 657999 and then 378648 for setting the necessary environment variables.
    One piece of advice, use the SID and system no. for the independent gateway, different from any of your SAP installations.
    Thanks
    Nischal

  • Static library not accessed properly after Solaris Kernel patch update !

    Hi,
    We are facing a sever issue in our application after our customer updated the Solaris 10 kernel patch u9 to u10.
    We have two static libraries libdlib.a and libDLIB.a, with exactly same code base, but these two libraries are scattered across the code base and linked by many shared objects in our application.
    However, one of the shared objects that links to "libdlib.a" library tries to access a function from "libDLIB.a". This behavior is causing a crash at a later point, since that shared object is supposed to access the function from "libdlib.a". Moreover, we found this is happening through the use of dbx.
    I'm unable to understand why this problem surfaced after kernel patch update, though still the shared object works fine on Solaris 10 u9 patch.
    Flow is something like this :
    1. syslogrecorder.so gets loaded by one of the processes.
    2. syslogrecorder.so is linked to "libdlib.a" at compile time, so it uses "libdlib.a" function DLIB_LoadLibrary and gets a handle to all the function pointers of the loaded library ( The purpose of DLIB_LoadLibrary is to load a shared library dynamically using dlopen )
    3. syslogrecorder.so tries to do a "dlsym" and to do that it needs access to the library handle which we got in previous call DLIB_LoadLibrary. So syslogrecorder.so calls another function from DLIB_ProcAddress, which actually gives back the access to the loaded shared library.
    Here is a catch in step 3, it is supposed to call DLIB_ProcAddress from the libdlib.a but as we observed from dbx output it does so by calling DLIB_ProcAddress from libDLIB.a and hence fails to give back the access to loaded shared library, causing crash at a later point in code.
    Can someone put some light here that why this could happen ??
    Thanks
    Kuldeep

    To clarify: You did not modify or rebuild any of your binaries, but after installing a kernel patch, the application stopped working. Most likely, something about your application depended on a accidental behavior of the runtime loader. That accidental behavior changed due to the patch, and your application failed.
    For example, if there is a circular dependency among shared libraries, the loader will break the cycle at an arbitrary point to establish an initialization order. By accident, that order might work, in the sense of not causing a problem. A change to the loader could cause the cycle to be broken at a different point, and the resulting initialization order could cause a now-uninitialized object to be accessed. I'm not saying this is what is wrong, but this is an example of a dependency on accidental loader behavior.
    Finding your actual problem will require tracing the sequence of operations leading up to the failure. You are more likely to find help in a Solaris linker forum. AFAIK, there are currently no Oracle forums for Solaris, and the old OpenSolaris forums have been converted to mailing lists. You can try the "tools-linking" list found on this page:
    http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo
    I also suggest you review the paper on best practices for using shared libraries written by Darryl Gove and myself:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/articles/servers-storage-admin/linkinglibraries-396782.html
    If you have a service contract with Oracle, you can use your support channel to get more help.

    when i debug the report it gives no error in that report but after it gives System message '' Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE''.
    any guidelines will be appreciated...
    regards,

    thankx for your reply..
    it is not giving me any dump or something neither my report contains any popup window.
    thing is that i am checking one error value at the event END-OF-SELECTION and giving some error mesg depending upon that.
    when i check this in debug mode in background mode itself (thr' JDBG or SM50) the value of error mesg is empty...so idealy the report is executed fine but when after words i go for F8 it gives me that error message.

    We installed the OIM version 11.1.1.1.5.0, and we implemented a solution almost out of the box.

    Because of this error: "ORA-06512: at "PROD_OIM.XL_SP_RECON_ACCOUNT_DATA_MATCH", line 149" we recompiled the SQL procedures but nothing has changed.
    We also re-run the creation of the reconciliation profile, but is not correctly working.
    I want to re-bring to your attention that all those users that have been reconciled before the migration are still working fine, the users that have been reconciled after the migration are subject to this error (and no event is created for them).
    Did anyone faced an analogous problem?
    Have you any idea about how to fix it?
    Thank you

    The error is due to the fact that, contrary what written in the documentation, the services shouldn't be restarted until the update process is completed

  • Unable to boot the sytem after applying kernel patch 118844-27

    We have an hp ProLiant DL380 Storage server connected to HP StorageWorks Moduler Smart Array 30 via SCSI. Solaris 03/05 was installed previously on this system with kernel 118844-20. When I queried and installed all required patches with 'smpatch add -i .. ' command, all patches applied and the system is rebooted. After reboot, the system kept restarting. I followed the instructions on Sun Alert document 102087, and installed grub using 01/06 1st CDROM. It installed successfully, but problem persisted. The systems started booting, but before printing 'Configuring devices' the system rebooted again. Providing -v option to the kernel, it lastly printed a PCI device id (/pci@....) and after 2-3 seconds rebooted again.
    Finally I had to reinstall the solaris (this time 01/06). The disk was accessible after booting with CD ROM, and I was able to get cylinder numbers of disk, and I installed the new system to the root partition of the other live upgrade environment. The boot disk was partitioned under linux, it was three partitions, Solaris2 (50GB),Solaris(4GB),Linux(18GB). Installation medium told that the fdisk partition was invalid, and i repartitioned the whole disk again.
    System up and running Solaris 10 01/06 now, but the strange thing is that, previously hard disk (both boot disk and disks on array) locations were identified as '/dev/rdsk/c0tx' but now, the system sees that hard disks at '/dev/c1tx' and CDROM at '/dev/c0t0'.
    Now I want to ask tow questions:
    * Could this disk number change made the system unbootable previously?
    * May I safely apply patch 118844-28 to the system
    -Thanks

    Here's a similar topic https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=536210 also if that doesn't work you should install vesa as it also says it's not found in your log.

  • Fox syntax errors after SEM 600 Patching to SP12

    Greetings all you experts out there..
    Pre patching to SP12,  all our Fox formulas using the following syntax to convert a fiscal period to a fiscal year worked without problem:
    PER = 0092008.
    YEAR = PER/0001000.
    This would return a value for YEAR = 0002008.
    Yes, it worked with the 3 leading zero's....!!!
    Post patching, system no longer likes this syntax and throws out an syntax error message.
    Please understand that I have no difficulty in changing the code - say using SUBSTR - to simply get the 4 digits only relevant to the fiscal year.......BUT...because we have these fox functions all over our solution, we were hoping for a more general fix which then would not require changes (and thus transports to production) etc.....
    So, any ideas on how to fix WITHOUT changing the Fox code...???
    Thanks and regards,
    Rael

    Hi Hans,
    Sorry, well spotted.....a typing mistake...
    Yes, the fiscal period is in format 2008009....and when you apply following Fox statement:
    PER = 2008009.
    YEAR = PER / 0001000.
    the result is
    YEAR = 0002008.
    and this is where the Fox formula editor is throwing up the syntax error....because it expects a 4 digit number for the year, i.e., no leading zeros.......
    Remember, these Fox formulas have beein working correctly for years, and it is only after patching that we are receiving the syntax error....
    Regards,
    Rael

    118683-05 Patch for profiling libraries and assembler (could possibly affect compiling C++)  <----------
    119963-20 Shared library patch for C++ (unlikely to affect C++ compiling)
    120753-08 Microtasking libraries (libmtsk) patch (unlikely to affect compiling programs)If you had gone through this exercise, you could have eliminated many of these patches from consideration. For example, a Fortran runtime library patch or a dbx patch cannot cause the C++ compiler to generate a compile-time error that it did not generate before.
    2. Put all source code and error messages in "code" tags, as you did with the list of patches. The non-alphanumeric characters in source code and messages can be interpreted as formatting directives instead of being displayed. The result is often nonsense or is hard to read.
    Notes on the command line:
    1. The -xO0 option is not supported, and has unpredictable results. If you do not want optimization because you want to debug the code, use either no -xOn option, or use -xO1. Using no option is generally preferred: compilation is faster, and the generated code is usually better than with -xO1.
    2. The -pto (-instances=static) option is generally a really bad idea. Unless you have a specific reason why you need this template compilation mode, you should remove the -pto option from all command lines (to use the default -instances=global mode), delete all your binaries, and rebuild the application.
    Neither of these problems causes the error message, however.
    What could be wrong
    Also on the command line is a macro definition that appears to be -D_RWCONFIG_m
    Is that the correct rendering of the option? If not, please show the command line again inside "code" tags.
    I'm concerned that you are trying to override a configuration macro for libCstd, the C++ runtime library. Doing so is not supported and has unpredictable results. If -D_RWCONFIG_m is what is really on the command line, it will not cause a problem with the library.
    Except for the possible macro definition issue, finding the problem will require looking at the source code. Since the error message refers to one of the compiler's own headers, the most likely possibilities are
    1. A bug in the headers that might be fixed in a later patch -- 124863-23 is not the most recent patch.
    2. An error in your code that worked only by accident before. I'm thinking of an inappropriate macro definition.
    If you strip everything out of the temip_ef_user_library.cxx file after all the #include directives, you should be able to compile the resulting file and see the same error message. If so, please post that small file here (inside "code" tags).
