DbaCockpit - Oracle 10g - Stats Missing

Hi,
We are running Solution Manager 4.0 SP13 on Oracle 10.2.0.2 patch 16.
When we run transaction dbacockpit.
We highlight the SPACE Overview for the Local ( default ) database - size=0, free space = 0...
ALL the stats for tablespaces, size, etc are all zero !!!!
In transaction DB17 all the Database check conditions are marked.
The job SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR runs every hour - RSCOLL00
The table TCOLL has the entry rsoracol.
The table ORA_MON_DBCON has CON_NAME = default database
Due to applying patch 16 we have ran - brconnect -u / -c -f stats -t oradict_stats
We decided to increase a tablespace and the ran - brconnect -u / -c -f stats -t system_stats
However if we run the old transaction DB02OLD, all the database performance, tables and indexes stats are available.
We can run - DB02OLD - Current Sizes - DB Analysis - refresh - perform DB checks - that Tablespace Stats are updated !
Please Help !

Thanks Baran.
Here is the fix:
Database = Oralce 10.2.0.2 Patch 16 ( patch 15 should be OK aswell)
SAP Netweaver 2004s SP12 or SP13
Run DbaCockpit - System configuration - Active System = 1( for Local database) -click On Default System - ( the Bottom Message Wiindow Will "pop" telling you what system is default )
Run Transaction DB17 and ensure all Conditions are active.
Run Transaction SM36 and Schedule Job SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR to run every hour - (RSCOLL00)
Run se16 - table = TCOLL - Table of Contents ( F7 ) - ensure it has the entry rsoracol.
Run SE38 - RSORACUP - execute - CON_NAME = DEFAULT - OPERATIO = CREATE - execute
Run SE16 - table = ORA_MON_DBCON - table of Contents - ( leave all options blank ) - execute - the result will be similar to below:
CON NAME DEFAULT
STATUS A
MAX RUNTIME 1.800
MAX UPLOAD 1.000.000
LOG LIFE 100
DESCRIPTION Local R/3 Database
Run SE16 - Table= DB02_COLL_PLAN - Table of Contents (F7) - Leave all entries blank- Execute - Results will have found around 60 to 65 modules (the exact number depend on your R/3 release/patch) per DB connection - example of one of the entries below:
CON NAME DEFAULT
SMON ID 100
SMON NAME DB-GE-MD
FUNCNAME ORA_COLL_DB_GENERAL_MAIN_DATA
MONIFILL DEF100
RANK 2
STATUS A
SCH DATE XXXXXXX
SCH TIME X X
PROCESS TYPE S
Run transaction dbacockpit - Jobs - dba planning calender - action pad - check database - run immediately - Let job complete - highlight and check log
Run se16 - table = DB02_COLL_LOG = table of contents ( F7 ) - Leave all fields blank - Execute - page down and you will see a number of entries similar to the following:
COLL DATE 15.11.2007
COLL TIME 07:57:19
CON NAME DEFAULT
SMON ID 901
SMON NAME AD-GE-CM
MONIFILL DEF901
RCODE 0
UPLOAD 10
DURATION 1
Run transaction - dbacockpit - space - bouble click sapce overview - in the right hand pane you will see size - freespace - etc etc.
For further inforamtion note number: 1002840 ( Specifically steps 4 and 5 ) If stats not updated .. run the SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR job - repeat steps 4 and 5 in the note and run the dba planning job check Database.

  • Oracle 10G rel2 - missing OracleHOME_NAMETNSListener

    Hello All,
I am installing Oracle Database 10G Rel2 on Windows 2003 (32bit) into a separate Oracle HOME. Before 10g install I already running Oracle 9i in a separate home.
After the install, OracleHOME_NAMETNSListener has not been created for 10G DB.
According to the Oracle documentation Oracle recommends to have only 1 listener. ( which I already have up and running for 9i)
    What is the solution?
    Thank you in advance, Sonya

What is the solution?shutdown V9 listener.
    start V10 listener instead
FWIW - V9 is obsoleted & unsupported and V10 is no longer under full support.
    Upgrade to V11.2 ASAP

  • Oracle 10g will do stats automatically ?

How oracle 10g will gather stats automatically ? How to check whether which scheduler is capturing stats, interval ,last gathered status and also next interval?
it will take only system level stats ? also object level stats also ?

    Hi,
    Please read this,
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14211/stats.htm#i41282
It wont capture system stats.Only object level stats are gathered.Oracle recommends to gather the system stats manualy.

  • ORACLE 10g CBO...analyze stats

    Hi
Oracle 10g R2 Documentation says CBO does not consider stats gathered by analyze table command. But analyze table updates all the stats (dba_tables etc...).
Still will these not be used?if not how ORACLE knows that stats are gathered by dbms_stats or not
I agree dbms_stats Stats are more comprehensive than analyze. But want to know whether stats gatherd by analyze are completely ignored or not
    Thanks
    Pramod

It helps if you quote the passage you have read as this makes it possible to explain why you may have misunderstood what was said - the manuals are not always completely clear.
There are some calls to the analyze command that collect statistics that the optimizer does not need - but other calls to the analyze command do collect statistics that the optimizer can use. But there are differences between the "optimizer numbers" collected by analyze and those collected by dbms_stats - so dbms_stats is the strategic choice.

According to the execution plan you posted parallelism is not taking place - no parallel operations listed
Check the hint syntax. In particular, "PARALLEL" does not look right.
Running queries in parallel can either help performance, hurt performance, or do nothing for performance. In your case a parallel index scan on MFIPROCESS.INDX_TEMP_CUST_AUTH_PERF_MV using the PARALLEL_INDEX hint and the PARALLEL hint specifying the table for MAT_VIEW MFIPROCESS.TEMP_CUST_AUTH_PERF_MV Cost might help, something like (untested)
select /*+ PARALLEL_INDEX(INDX_TEMP_CST_AUTH_PERF_MV) PARALLEL(TEMP_CUST_AUTHPERF_MV) */Is query rewrite causing the MVs to be read? If so hinting the query will be tricky

  • Converting SQL statements from MS server 2000 to Oracle 10g

We are moving over from MS server 2000 to Oracle 10g as our database for Peoplesoft system.
There are several embedded SQL statements that I need to investigate to see what needs converting.
So far I can see a need to convert the following:
    Dates.     GetDate() to ?
Outer joins. *= to LEFT OUTER JOIN
Has anyone else done a similar exercise and what other functions do I need to convert?
    Thanks.

  • Oracle 10g ODBC Driver Missing in Control Panel

I have installed the Oracle 10g Client in a computer running Windows XP but the "Oracle in OraClient10g_client1" ODBC driver in the Drivers tab of the Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Data Sources (ODBC) form is missing. I know the Oracle ODBC driver is currently installed because:
    1. I can connect to the database using DSN-less connection. "Driver={Oracle in OraClient10g_client1}; DBQ=[TNSname];UID=[username];PWD=[password]"
    2. The HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI\ODBC Drivers show an entry for "Oracle in OraClient10g_home1".
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I don't know if you've got an answer yet or not, but I had the same problem when I installed Oracle 10 client. There is a similar issue on the Oracle forum (Re: ODBC Driver Install Problem. Basically, what was happening is a line had been entered in the ODBC Drivers file that contains "@=". Anything following that line is NOT displayed in the ODBC Admin list.
To fix this problem, open Regedit and export the "HKLM\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI\ODBC Drivers" key to a file. Edit the file to remove the line "@=" and save the file. Delete the registry key, and merge in your updated file.

  • Oracle 10g R2 Enterprise Manager Web Interface doesn't see the database

Been at this a few days now... so I hope you can help.
    Windows XP (sp2 slipstreamed)
Logged in as "Administrator" to the local machine (not the domain)
I have downloaded Oracle 10g for Windows and have installed it using the Universal installer. The only parameter I changed was the default name of the database from orcl to ORAC (and given the problem I have had with the manager, that's turned out to be an appropriate name!). I set the passwords to be all the same and then let it run.
Before installation I logged in as "Administrator" and configured the environmental variables - oracle_home, oracle_sid, sid etc.
It installs, sqlplus client and isqlplus (the web version) both connect fine and so does the windows administrator snapin.
The only thing that refuses point blank to see the database is the Enterprise Manager.
The Enterprise Manager takes the SYS logon (as sysdba) quite happily and then it states:
    Error
java.lang.Exception: Exception in sending Request :: null
    Status Status Pending
    Status Pending Since Unavailable
    Last Known State
Nice friendly error message there Oracle... thanks
    So more digging
    emctl status dbconsole produces
    EM Daemon is not running.
    which seems to go with
    Clicking Startup/Shutdown gets me
Couldnot contact the agent. Verify that the url for the agent is null
Trying the preferences in the EM webpage
gets me "Io exception: Unknown host specified"
As near as I can figure, the "agent" is missing - but according to the documentation I have read dbconsole is all that is needed (I not running the grid computing bit).
    Ideas?

Hmmm no way to attach the error... but it a big error... this is what happened when I did the operations described this morning in the emoms.log
The same errors show on previous times I have tried to start EM
