I am having trouble with my iphone the internet 'safari' connection is extremely slow and I keep recieving error messages and messages to debug console. any suggestions

Are you seeing the debug error messages with all webpages or just a specific web page?
Does http://www.apple.com/ load correctly?
You can turn off Safari debugging by going to Settings>Safari>Developer>Debug Console.

I-Pad 2: "Debug Console: No Errors"?

I am currently on an I-Pad 2 and I'm having issues with Safari. I am able to get online and open everything else up with free use BUT Safari. When I open Safari it's only allowing me to type in the search bar and the home bar; however it won't let me scroll up or down on the page, or touch anything on the main page that is open. The page itself is set in a gray color and no matter what I place in the home bar (example yahoo.com) it does pull up BUT it won't let me do anything else. At the top of the page it reads 'Debug Console: No Errors'. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Or what the meaning of it is? Thanks for you help ahead of time :-)

Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies And Data (Clear Cache on iOS 4) and also Clear History. You can also turn off debug console via Settings > Safari > Advanced > Debug Console (can't remember whether it was in exactly the same place on iOS 4, but it would be under Settings > Safari).
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Unless you are a programmer or web developer, it really serves no purpose. To turn it off, open the Settings app and select Safari, Advanced (scroll down to get to it), slide the button to turn it off.

Using an applet as a debug-console

Hi !
I've made a simple main() which does work but i've to see some output details from an applet. For the moment, I don't know how to print the equivalent of the system.out.println (I put these outputs in a string) line by line in an applet...
All I am able to do is to write all my string in the applet at the end of the execution of my main().
Could anybody help me ?

In an applet, stuff written to output on System.out or System.err should show up on the Java console.
So it should be fine to just keep using that.
But anyway are you really using applets? Applets don't use main().

Debug console keeps coming up errors?

Debug keeps showing errors, it also kicks me offline after 10 min.

If you are talking about in Safari then it's in Settings > Safari > Advanced > Debug Console

How do you debug your Ipod Console?

How do you debug your console? What dose it mean? Have had my ipod for 3 years and no problems. Till this show up on the top of the screen today.

The Debug Console can be turned on manually ins Settings>Safari. It will also appear automatically to help resolve web page errors.
I appears that there are problems with the webpage. If it only happens on that one webpage and it is not your page I would just ignore it.

Console window and debugging in ME platform SDK 3.0

Hi All!
I've just started to use new ME platform SDK 3.0. I've imported my WTK 2.5 project and faced unexpected problems.
1) Cannot find debug console window ( where System.out.println() output goes to).
2) Cannot Run Main project in debug mode, although I can run it using Run Main project (F6) and it works fine.
Could anybody point me the solution?

Run in debug mode is a little bit confusing in jmesdk 3.0. It just starts an emulator in debug mode. Basically it does the same like commandline emulator.exe -Xdescriptor:<path to jad> -Xdebug -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,address=<port>,server=y,suspend=n.
Jmesdk 3.0 doesn't contain debugger console and is expected that user will connect to emulator runnning in debug mode using his preferred gui debugger (netbeans, eclipse etc.)

Need Help - JVM error in Forms 10g in Debug mode

Hello,
This issue has bothered me since I started coding in Forms. If I use an Associative Array with a VARCHAR2 index type, whenever I try to look at the contents of the array, a small JVM aborting messagebox appears with OK as the only option. Once I click OK, I get a Forms error saying it has lost connection with the server. This ONLY happens if I'm trying to look at the contents of the array when it has data. I can see the variable in the debug console just fine when it doesn't have data, but once one value is populated, the JVM aborting message pops up. Another weird caveat is the JVM error will only occur IF you have a debug window open which would display the contents of this array. I can still use arrays of this type IF I don't try and look at the contents in the debugger.
Here is a quick test case. I just have a simple form with one push button. The following code is in the WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger:

Put a breakpoint on the first statement and debug it. If you have the local variables debug window up, the JVM aborting error will appear when you step over the first line. We have submitted a metalink bug report about 3 months ago but never heard anything back. I wanted to post something here incase anyone else has encountered this error and might know how to fix it.

I can't get Xcode 4 to display anything in the console...help!

I'm running a simple "hello world" program just to test xcode 4, and when I build it, xcode says the build succeded but not a thing shows up in the debug console....it's throwing me for a loop because i've had no problems running xcode 4 on my work computer. Any ideas. Here's the code:

Is there a setting issue I'm missing or what. I even reinstalled lion, and xcode 4...

Foothill1, would it be possible for us to get on the phone? Things would go so much quicker that way I think and I am sort of under the gun over here. I believe I am just one small step away from having this work if I could just explain the setup to someone

Running a Captive Runtime debug build through flash builder

Is there a way to launch a debug configuration through Flash Builder that has the captive run time built in?
I am developing and testing an app for android devices that do not have the newest version of the Air Runtime, some of the devices require captive runtime because they cannot upgrade. I need to be able to launch the app on these devices AND get debug/console information from flash builder for identifying defects.
any ideas?

Captive Runtime can only be used at export release build time.
Hence you cannot debug the application with captive runtime bundled.

Flash Builder Burrito, Random Crash in Debug Build

Hello:
I have been working with Flash Builder Burrito for about a week. When I publish it to the Xoom device in debug mode, it will crash at random. When I publish it as a normal build, it works great.
I'm not sure if it's actually a crash or it loses the Wi-Fi connection to the device and just quits out?
I get no errors to the Debug window when it just random quits the app.
I would suggest it's a coding error but it is just sitting at a simple MXML screen and not doing anything in the background. Plus it works when I do a normal build with out the Debug console.
My guess is there is a packet loss or something and it quits out?

This is a bug in AIR on the Xoom device. As you pointed out it only happens when debugging. We're aware of the issue and working on a fix, you can track the progress on this bug: http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FB-30457
