Default jurisdiction code in PO invoice

Hi Friends,
We have two plants in diffierent counties in GA. they are plant 1000 and 1100.
When I create PO, the "Jurisd.Code" under Item detail Invoice will give me a default GA0000000 for both plant 1000 and 1100.
Is there any way the default could show GA0330000 for 1000 plant, and GA0750000 for 1100 Plnat please?
Thanks in advance.
Linda

  • Defaulting Jurisdiction code in FB60

    HI ppl,
Can anyone suggest me how to default Jurisdiction code in FB60 screen?
I have tried SHD0, but it is not allowing me to make any changes until I create a vendor. I don't want to create a vendor in my Golden Client. Is there any alternative way to default Jurisdiction code in FB60.
    Thanks!

    Hello
If the tax is not flagged in the vendor master and details not maintained the default cannot come in FB60.
However there is some User Exit for document default in FB60.
Check with ABAPer if he can modify the exit and default the tax code.
However think of the impact. In future for all transactions in FB60, this would be defaulted even if you do not require.

  • When we post Inbound Invoice IDocs, we are getting an error message "Enter a tax jurisdiction code".

    Hi Experts,
When we post Inbound Invoice IDocs, we are getting an error message "Enter a tax jurisdiction code". As checked, we have configured OBCD and OBCA for the vendor and we are passing the Tax Jurisdiction code in E1EDP04 SAL segment. Can anybody give us some idea to resolve this issue.

  • Tax jurisdiction code creates a difference when posting invoice with PO ref

I have added a tax jurisdiction code since the client wants to be able to sort taxes by location.  The problem now is that, I have posted a PO with a tax jurisdiction code but upon posting the invoice with reference to this PO, there's an error saying that there still exists a balance even though the balance on the screen is zero.  Any ideas on how this can be solved?

    Hi ,
Can you please tell us how you resolved? We do facing the same problem.

  • PO Tax Jurisdiction Code defaulted from Plant but then overwritten by CC

    Hello everyone!
I had a question regarding defaulting the tax jurisdiction code.  When using ME21N the tax jurisdiction code is defaulting from the value we have in the plant which is what we want.  When I go and fill in the additional information that the PO needs to be saved (such as GL, Cost Center, etc.) it is overwriting the defaulted plant tax jurisdiction code and changing it to the Company Codes default jurisdiciton code.  Is there a way to NOT have the company code value enter?  I just want it to remain as the plant Tax jurisdcition code.
    Thank you,
    Rob

please read the OSS Note 501054 - FAQ: Taxes in purchasing
How is the tax jurisdiction code (tax jurisdiction code) determined in purchase orders?
    Answer:
You activate the tax handling with tax jurisdiction codes in FI Customizing (transaction OBCO). In the standard system during the creation of a purchase order, the system consideres the following sources for the tax jurisdiction code: Reference item, request for quotation, contract, plant, the account assignment object. During this process, the system overwrites the respective preceding value in this list. If, for example, you have maintained a tax jurisdiction code with the account assignment object for a purchase order item, this entry "wins" as opposed to the entry in the plant table. Besides this, the tax jurisdiction code can be entered manually.
If you use the function from Note 493515, also the tax jurisdiction code from the delivery address can be taken into account (see below.).
There is more useful info in this note, as well for jurisdiction code

  • Tax Jurisdiction code for EDI Incoming invoice

    Hi,
We have implemented EDI incoming invoice using INVOIC02. The process code is INVL.The invoice is to be posted against a Purchase Order line item. It is noticed that the EDI invoice is not getting the Tax Jurisdiction code from the Purchase Order line . Instead the Tax Juridiction code is copied from the company code. However when we post the invoice manually using MIRO , then the Tax Juridiction code is copied from the Purchase Order. We understand that the system should take the Tax Jurisdiction code from the Purchase Order even for EDI invoices. Is it compulsory that we have to use the user exit EXIT_SAPLMRMH_014 in order to populate the Tax Jurisdiction code field TXJCD from the Purchase Order line? or is there any config required to enable the transfer of Tax Juridication code from the Purchase Order? In transaction OBCE there is a config to transfer the tax jurisdiction code supplied by the external vendor. If we do not check that box , then system is supposed to get the tax jurisdiction code from the Purchase Order.
    Thanks
    Sukumar

The issue is resolved through OSS Note 506343. In the standard R/3 system, the tax jurisdiction code can't be written to invoice via EDI and only the Ship To Plant's Tax Jurisdiction Code is written to the invoice.

  • INVOIC idoc error 51due to "Enter a tax jurisdiction code"

    Hi Expeets
We use INVOIC for automated MIRO for an interco STO.
Th idoc is unsuccessful due to message "Enter a tax jurisdiction code"
The tax jurisdiction code is already there in PO item and it is getting determined in MIRO item when we manually create invoice.
Please guide me to avoid this error with Idoc.
    thanks
    ramSiva

    Hi ramSiva,
You will need to do a test with the IDoc to see if it is processed correct when you fill the tax jurisdiction code. Then you will now that you need to adjust the code for processing the IDoc.
If it still goes wrong then there is something else incorrect.
I am not a functional consultant, but maybe these are customizing settings where the taks code is made mandatory. Check with your functional consultant, maybe he knows the rules for this field in relation to customizing settings.

  • Purchase Order Tax Jurisdiction Code Default

    Hello,
I have a business requirement to have my tax code default based off of Delivery Address Region field.
I can achive this by creating a custom condition table with region, creating a custom access sequence, inserting the custom table, and attaching it to condition type NAVS.
My problem is that my tax code requires a tax jurisdiciton code. So I can default the tax code but that is useless without being able to default the tax jurisdiction code.
How can I default the tax jurisdiction code in the delivery address, _*WITHOUT DEFAULTING IT IN THE PLANT OR STORAGE LOCATION MASTER DATA. IT NEEDS TO DEFAULT BASED OF OF REGION.*
Is there a condition type for Tax Jurisdiction code or something along those lines.....

    Hello,
There is a BADI available with name ME_TAX_FROM_ADDRESS [SE18] (Tax jurisdiction code taken from address). As per documentation, this is the correct one for you.
The Business Add-In (BAdI) ME_TAX_FROM_ADDRESS provides you with additional functionality to determine the tax jurisdiction code in purchase orders. At item level, the tax jurisdiction code maintained in the delivery address can be used for tax calculation purposes.
    Thanks,
    Venu

  • Tax Conditions for Sales and Distribution using Jurisdiction Code in Canada

    Hello everyone,
I would like to share with you a doubt relating taxes for Sales and Distribution in Canada.
The Tax conditions for Sales and Distribution in Canada are the CTX1 (GST - Canada), CTX2 (PST - Canada) and CTX3 (Base + GST). These are the Tax Conditions which appear when creating a Material or a Client for the Canada Region, and are also the ones included in the Canada Standandard Pricing Procedure.
I tried to apply the standard method of creating a Master Record for these conditions, but an error relating the Jurisdiction Code came out while releasing to accounting.
Does anyone one how to procceed? Which are the important issues with Finance Accounting to take in to account?
I would really appreciate any comment relating this issue.
Thank you very much in advanced.
    Víctor

    Dear Mr. Lakshmipathi,
In first place, thank you very much for your quick response.
I have tried many different procedures to get the aim, and among others, a new access sequence was created to allow the introduction of the Jurisdiction Code (UTXJ is not available for Sales Conditions) but once the Condition is created, it is not recognized when creating the Order ("pricing error: Mandatory condition CTX is missing"). Maybe it has something to do with the fact that these conditions are not included in the Finance Accounting Tax Procedure, where the conditions, which represent the same taxes but with different condition names, are defined for a certain Tax Code and Jurisdiction code.
Among the different SAP notes for the error relating the Jurisdiction code, there was one proposing to change the Condition Category from "D" (Taxes) to a value between "1 and 4". By doing this a new error appears while creating the order, saying that there are conditions in the Tax procedure (JRC1, JRC2)which are not included in the Sales Pricing procedure. By including this conditions in the Pricing procedure, the Tax Conditions existing in the Finance Accounting Tax Procedure are brought to the Order Conditions, in addition to the Sales Tax Conditions. And there is something more, each Tax Condition from the Finance Accounting Procedure appears twice, one with the application V (Sales) with value zero, and one with application TX (Taxes) with the value existing in the Finance Accounting Taxes Procedure. This is how at the end, the corresponding %value of the taxes is brought to the Invoice with the correct Tax Code, and the proper Jurisdiction Code, which is different for each condition.
Thank you very much for your time.

  • Defaulting tax code at the time of PO creation

    Hi Friends
How do i default  tax code in a PO
    for a combination of
    COCD
    pur. org.
    PO doc. type
    when ever
    COCD == X &
    Pur. org -== Y
    P.o Doc type == NB
then i should have Tax code == Z in the invoice tab of PO item details.
if some thing other than Z is used then system should issue an
error message at time of Saving the P.O.
i do not want to hard code Tax code for a GL account,
as this GL account will be used by many other Pur org.
    thanks
    Prasanna

    Hello Prasanna,
Come to the practical business.. The tax code may varies based on Vendor, material, location then how can you set tax code with the combination of your entities i.e. Com code, pur org and doc type.
You can maintain in Inforecord that will copied to Purchase order.
If you still want to make it default then use the relevent user exit as suggested by Charlie.
    Hope this will clear.
