Default settings file for Terminal Application?

Hello,
As in other Unixes /etc/bashrc or ~/.bashrc seem to contain the default settings for the Terminal Application.
But i was looking for the config file where i can set the default keyboard or keymapping for the Terminal Application?
The "Desktop-Keyboard/Keymapping" is ok , but in the Terminal several keys don´t work correctly. I need to ssh into another machine but the users password can´t be written correctly as of errors with keymapping so i can´t login into the other box.
Thanks for infos,
tyrtux.

Then, check ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Terminal.plist, using:
defaults read com.apple.Terminal
in the Terminal. Look especially at the KeyBindings entries. Use the Property List Editor that comes with the XCode Tools to change/modify those to suit your needs.

The registry method does not work with 8.1.  I found this out the hard way.  Doing it on 8.1 will leave you reinstalling the OS if you didn't do a SRP beforehand.

  • HOw to create a Batch file for java application and whats the use of this ?

    HI,
How to create a Batch file for java application ?
And whats the use of creating batch file ?
    Thanks in advance

    First of all, you're OT.
Second, you can find this everywhere in the net.
If you got a manifest declaring main class (an classpath if needed), just create a file named whatever.bat, within same directory of jar file, containing:
javaw -jar ./WhateverTheNameOfYourJarIs.jar %*By the way, assuming a Windows OS, you can just double click the jar file (no batch is needed).
    Otherwise use:
javaw -cp listOfJarsAndDirectoriesSeparedBySemiColon country/company/application/package/className %*Where 'country/company/application/package/' just stands for a package path using '/' as separator instead of '.'
    Don't specify the .class extension.
Javaw only works on Windows (you asked for batch, I assumed .BAT, no .sh), in Linux please use java.exe (path may be needed, Windows doesn't need it 'cause java's executables are copied to system32 folder in order to be always available, see PATH environment variable if you don't know what I'm talking about) and use ':' as classpath (cp) separator.
The '%***' tail is there in order to pass all parameters, it only works on Windows, refer to your shell docs for other OSs (something like $* may work).
This way you have a command you can call to launch your code (instead of opening NetBeans just to see your app working). You could schedule tasks on it or just call it in any command prompt (hope you know what it is 'cause there have been people in this very same forum with no clue about it, if not just hold the 'Windows button' and press 'R', then type 'cmd' and run it).
Finally add dukes and give 'hem away.
    Bye.

  • Where are files for my applications kept? I'm trying to do a clean install.

I have an intel imac OS 10.6.8. I have to do a clean install and need to transfer my files to a USB flashdrive because time machine hasn't backed up in 3 months. Where are files for my applications kept?

Since you mentioned Time Machine, I'm assuming you have an external hard drive? So why not make a complete backup - either with Time Machine or a bootable clone with CarbonCopyCloner or SuperSuper? Applications sometimes transfer well, but not always - it depends how many files/parts they have on the hard drive in different locations. There is no simple answer to your question because of that - it depends on the individual application. I'd back up all of it, do the install, and then use Setup Assistant to port things back.

  • How to create the exe files for java application

How to create the exe file for java application?
got any software to do that?
    Thanks

In terms of converting java applications into exe files, there are 3 schools of thought:
    1) Instead of converting it to an exe, convert it to a jar file. Jar files are more portable than exe files because they can be double-clicked on any operating system. The caveat is that a Java interpreter must be installed on the target computer for the double-clicking to work.
    http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/Books/javaprogramming/JAR/
    2) Create an exe launcher that, when double-clicked, attempts to find a Java interpreter on the local computer and launches the Java application. The exe file is still double-clickable but whether your java application runs depends on whether a Java interpretor is installed on the target computer.

    http://www.rolemaker.dk/nonRoleMaker/javalauncher/
    http://www.jelude.cjb.net/
    http://thor.prohosting.com/~dfolly/java/index.html
    3) Create an exe launcher that bundles a Java interpretor. Same as above but when the exe file is double-clicked, it searches for a Java interpreter and if one is not found, it installs one on the target computer. The caveat is that the exe file would have an overhead of 10 MB in size for the interpreter.
    http://www.excelsior-usa.com/jet.html (evaluation version available)
    4) Convert the Java application into a native exe file. The caveat is that if you use Swing for your GUI, it won't be converted. Also this option is still somewhat experimental.
Can't think of any free options right now.

  • Multiple log4j.xml files for single application.

    Hi All,
How to use multiple log4j.xml files for single application?
I do have a pluggable application modules. ie, If I add a jar I will get some functionalities. Like that i do have many jars.
Log4j.xml also will be present in that jar only. So if I add multiple jar files like this, I will get multiple log4j.xml files. What should I do?

Each logger can have its own file I think. Check the log4j documentation.

  • Reset default settings on vi termination

I wish to reset my controls to the default settings on termination of the vi. I have set the default values in the properties field. When I restart my vi the settings at termination are those at next run of vi. Two controls I wish to reset to default are on/off boolean switches, one which must stay switched when pressed (but wish to reset to default on termination), the other which can be latched (and terminates vi).

If you have set a default value for all the controls on the FP. then you can create and invoke node for the entire vi.(see examples)
If you wish to just have a couple of your controls set to default then all you have to do is right click on each control and create an invoke node and set it to (reinit to DFlt) this should help you.

  • Log4J: Different config files for different applications?

    Hi all.
If you run an application which uses Log4J logging it's enough to place the log4j.xml file in the Classpath.
But how do you specify which configuration file to use during startup of a Java programm if they need different configurations but have the same classpath?
    Thanks in advance
    Carsten

my log4j knowledge is a bit outdated - but somewhere in your apps you should have a line that loads the properties file, something like:PropertyConfigurator.configure(path_to_log4j.properties);And the log4j.properties file should be in your app's EAR file somewhere - and since the app server creates a context for each application, I don't think there would be any "bleed over". So, does your setup differ from this somehow?

  • Separate CSS files for Differenct Applications in the Same Workspace

I am working in APEX 4.0, using Theme 4 (Topaz), primarily with the region template "Top Bar." The application I am working on has gotten so large that I decided to break it into two applications. So I copied the original application and then deleted the pages that I did not want in the second application. I then modified the authentication for a single login. One of the nice things about the Top Bar template is that you can color the background. I had a blue background in the first application and wanted to use a differenct color in the other. So I created a second CSS file and uploaded it to the Cascading Style Sheets area of the Shared Components file for the second application. Turns out that both it and the style sheet for the first application now show up in the CSS file area. The CSS file for the second application has no effect. Here is the CSS code:
    .rc-content-main
          background-color: #E5E5AA;
}I also tried giving the region on each page in the second application a static id and then identifying them in the CSS file by the id. That didn't work either, at least not yet. Sometimes it takes the server a while to refresh.
Question: For two applications in the same workspace, can there be separate CSS files? If so, how do I set them up so that each responds only to one of the applications?

    Hello,
If you upload your file to Shared Components >> Cascading Style Sheetst then:
edit your page template in the header section and just before +*</head>*+ tag  add :
<link rel="stylesheet" src="#WORKSPACE_IMAGES#MY_FILE.css" type="text/css" />And that will be applied for all pages that have the same Page Template.
You can edit a page and put this in the header section to be applied only for a that page:
    <style>
    <link rel="stylesheet" src="#WORKSPACE_IMAGES#MY_FILE.css" type="text/css" />
<style>If the file is on your web server then replace #WORKSPACE_IMAGES# with #IMAGE_PREFIX#
This should be helpful to you:

  • Creating external mapping file for C# application

    Hi,
I'm using Robohelp 7 and producing HTMLHelp files. So far, the programmers have been making internal links in the program to call my help, but I'd like to take this over using an external mapping file.
Is it possible to use regular map files, using the built-in Map ID functionality, for C# .NET applications? If so, is there something special I have to do? Or do I just create a regular map file?
    Thanks!

I mean that, in the past, they have hard-coded the link to each help page within the application. But, I'd like to take that over by maintaining a Map file where I specify the link between the topic and the Map ID.
However, I'm not sure that the map file works for C# .Net applications, and the engineers aren't sure either. I told them I'd go investigate.
Is there a way to create a Map file, or something that works like a map file, for a C# .Net application? Or do they have to go on hard-coding the links to each topic?

  • Where are Develop Default Settings stored for LR 5 in Win 8.1

I want to use my Default Settings on another computer, so I need to find them and then copy them to the correct folder in the second computer.
Second question. If I also happen to apply a Preset during Import that has some of the same Develops as my Default Settings, like Lens Corrections or Sharpening, what will happen? Will the effects be cumlative/additive/doubled or will LR only apply the effect once?

    C:\Users\{me}\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw
    C:\Users\{me}\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom

So on Import the camera specific Default settings take effect and then any Preset values applied during Import would overwrite any similar values that had been initially applied by the Default Settings?
