Default values in the input fields of Adobe forms

Hi,
The default value settings in the value tab of the object pallette(Adobe Designer) is not getting reflected at the form (Portal level).. PLs help. what could be the reason for this.
Can it be done through coding? if yes, pl[ease help with regard to it.

If you are using ISR based Adobe Interactive Forms, you can set the default values using INT_SERVICE_REQUEST_INIT method if QISR BADI.

Here u mean to say that v_value must be one more field type string. is it so ?
But i want to see the value in the same input field
id ="gv_var". i.e if i enter the value "BSPian" in the input field and press "submit" the internal processing will be done as told by u and after that ,on the screen i want to keep that value till i end that session.
i passed a variable v_value in the inputfield value but it's not working ..

Not able to display the values in the input fields of the view

Hi All.
I am facing an unique issue.
My custom element created in my custom node getting a null value
from a Get Vendor Details RFC written in RFC.
The values are getting populated in the custom element but not coming in the
input field of the corresponding view.
Then, I wrote this code
wdContext.nodeCustom.setLeadSelection(1);
and all the output came in the input field.
Now, after a build it is not coming in the input fields of the view.
All my custom nodes are Singleton and values are coming in the custom elements
as I can print them by wdComponentApi.getMessageManager.reportSuccess(""+customnode.getField());
All my nodes are Singleton.
Please give your valuable inputs.

Check the node property
initializeLeadSelection true
if not make it true , I would suggest to make a value node of the same structure as in RFC after execuation of the RFC populate the value manually.Dont bind it directly to the UI element.

Default Value in Numeric Input Field in Visual Composer Application

Hi All,
I have developed a visual composer application which has a numeric input field for Hours.
It is mapped to a backend module.
We are using portal 7.31
The problem is that the deafult value of this input field is "0", but the rquirement is to display as "0.0"
The functionality has been tested with input values in decimals and works fine. The problem is when the screen first populates, that field should show "0.0" .

I don't know of an agreeable way around it. You could have a textual input, but then it doesn't have the numeric control behavior, plus you need to handle incorrect typing (alphanumeric notes).

HI,
You can set default values on to screen fields using SET and GET PARAMETER command, You need to assign a PARAMETER ID for that screen field and then use SET PARAMETER before the screen is called or in the PBO of the screen, you can set default values direcly in PBO of the screen but then you have hard code those value or read the data from database.
You need to have a TABLES statement to create a strucutre that you used to create your screen fields, then when you set value to these strucutre fields these values will get tranported to the screen fields automatically.

Value of the input field changing automatically on click of enter

I was trying to write a simple report that has a single input field with a f4 help for a directory browser attached. the input field can only be filled using the f4 help ( achieved through function module DYNP_VALUES_UPDATE) . The problem is after the input field is populatd if i click on enter or press f8 the text in the input field changes automatically. Please can anyone find the reason for this behaviour and provide a solution .Thanks in advance.report code attached.

I'm afraid that's not possible as form fields in a PDF file have no equivalent either in a Word format (.docx/.doc) or within the Rich Text Format (.rtf). That data is simply stripped during the conversion as there's no equivalent available.

Setting Default Value to the Quantity Field in ML81n

Hi Gurus,
I have an assignment to set a default value of 1 to the quantity value when creating entry sheet. This is the process we go through before the point of setting the 1:
1. Go ML81n and click on "Other Purchase Order" input some PO number and click enter.
2. On the Menu --> Entry Sheet --> Create --> Empty Page
3. At the bottom of the screen Click on "Service Sel", and click enter if a pop-up shows
4. Now on the line item, select any row (1 or 2 or many). and Click on Services on top.
So at this point when the new screen shows with the new Entry Sheet number, the line Items that comes up should all have a quantity of 1, and should be editable by the user before saving.
How can i go about this. Which UserExit will do this or Enhancement Point. The screen field for this quantity is ESLL-MENGE.

I _EKPO type EKPO in this we have MENGE field try to asign value 1 to this.
First check the screen number of the popup screen for which you need to enter the MENGE valuein GUI status. Chck if this screen exit can be used by puting a break-point.
And also try this screen exit for SRVEUSCR-
EXIT_SAPLMLSR_020-Transfer of Data to Entry Sheet User Screen
EXIT_SAPLMLSR_021-Adoption of Data from Entry Sheet User Screen
SAPLMLSR-Screen exit at 0400 subscreen.

How to get the values from the input field of a table

Hello Friends
I am having table having one column as InputField and rest are the textview fields
I input the data and click the button that will add them to a node.
But what is happening is it is adding the current value to all the fields replacing other filelds.
Like suppose I am having 3 rows
In column I input 10
In column 2 input 20
In column 3 input 30
Now it is setting the value 30 to all the 3 fields.
Can any one tell me the code to set 10, 20 and 30 as different value in a node as entered by me.

URM How to set default value in the "New Check-in" - "Folder" field

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to find out how to set the default value for the "folder" field in a check-in profile created using the Configuration Manager. If I browse to the folder in the "Browse Content -> Folders" menu and check-in a file inside the folder, it will fill this field automatically. I need to replicate this behavior using the "New Check-in" drop-down menu and selecting a profile, in other words, associate a Folder with a check-in profile.
I know it was possible to do so in previous versions using the folders_g component, but I'm unable to figure out how to accomplish it with the new FrameworkFolders component.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

          all your input fields would be bound to different attributes..... for every attribute you have an option called default value... in the context... you can make use of that...
               or
           in the wddoinit method, you can pass teh values to these attributes dynamically using set_attribute method.

OAF : LOV mappings do not execute for specified default value in the LOV

Dear All,
I know the topic of default value in an LOV has been discussed a million times.
Please bear with me -
I set the "Initial Value" property for an LOV to populate a default value in the LOV field when the page loads. This works fine
My LOV has about 4 lov mappings that populate 4 "formValue" items on my page.
However, for the default value, these mappings are not executed and the formValue items remain empty. (Though the default value shows up fine on the screen)
Do I have to explicitly default these formValue items as well ? Is there anyway to get the mappings to execute ?

When creating a purchase order the "Our reference"-field in the Communication-tab is empty. Is it possible to configure this so that the field is filled by default with the name of the person who is creating the PO?

There is a button named Personal Settings on ME21N screen. Click on that button --> Click on second tab of Default Values --> Click on More fields --> Select Our reference and maintain the default value. This will always come up at the time of creation of PO.
