'Delete' operation with CMIS connector

I was told in one of the post I made at - http://forums.adobe.com/thread/879186?tstart=0 that Drive uses 'Delete' option from the context menu of OS (no such option exists in the Drive menu). When I was testing my deleteObject method and tried to do that with this context menu option, the document got deleted just like any other document from local file system but reappeared once I hit refresh. (I have connected our DAM system using Drive)
Am I doing anything wrong? I expect selecting Delete would hit my code and document would get deleted from our DAM server.

Hello,
Can you explain me you mentioned " I expect selecting Delete would hit my code", you implemented a Connector for Adobe Drive to connector your own DAM server, right?
Thanks,
Zhiqiang

    Why you have to pass 14 parameters for DELETE and UPDATE? Do you have any Primary Key?  If you do NOT have primary key in your table then in case you have duplicate information, SQL will update both or delete them together. You need to provide DDL of
    you table. What are the data types of fields?

  • UIX Tip - maybe of use to somebody - confirm Delete operation with Javascript popup

    It was easier than I thought it would be to convert my Javascript Delete Confirmation message that I had developed for my JSP over to UIX:
    By default UIX would generally do something along the lines of:
    <submitButton text="Delete" ctrl:event="delete" />
    which generates the following html:
    <a href="# onclick="submitForm('viewForm',1,{'event':'delete');return false">
    If you want to popup a Javascript window asking the user to confirm the operation you can do:
    <submitButton text="Delete" ctrl:event="delete">
    <boundAttribute name="onClick">
    <fixed javaType="string">javascript:if (confirm("WARNING: You will not be able to revert this operation. This operation will also fail if there are dependant objects!")){return true;}else{return false;}</fixed>
    </boundAttribute>
    </submitButton>
    this will generate the following html:
    <a href="#" onclick="return _chain('javascript:if (confirm(&quot;WARNING: You will not be able to revert this operation.  This operation will also fail if there are dependant objects!&quot;)){return true;}else{return false;}','submitForm(\'viewForm\',1,{\'event\':\'delete\'});return false',this,event,true)">
    Matt.

    This is a totally supported technique, and a good one.
    To pick at nits, you don't need to start "onClick" handlers with "javascript:". Save yourself a whopping
    11 bytes by trimming that off. With a bit of slyness, you could boil this down to:
    <boundAttribute name="onClick">
       <fixed javaType="string">return confirm("WARNING: You will not be able to revert this operation.  This
    operation will also fail if there are dependant objects!");</fixed>
    </boundAttribute>... or, just extract that into a script, like:
      <script><contents>function makeSure()
      return confirm("WARNING: You will not be able to revert this operation.  This operation will also fail
    if there are dependant objects!");
    }</contents></script>
      <submit text="Delete" ctrl:event="delete" onClick="return makeSure()"/>

  • Problem with CMIS-Connector in version 4.2

    Hi,
    we are developing our own CMIS-Server to connect our DAM with Adobe Drive. Since Drive was updated to 4.2, we noticed that it sends a lot of parent-requests to the server (/parents?id=) after getting the children of a folder. We don't see why these requests are needed, there seem to be no new features which might need them, at least from what we can tell. In 4.0, everything worked fine without the parent-requests.
    Is there any way to disable the parent requests? They are causing some performance issues on our side because of the sheer number of requests.
    Please bear with me as I am relatively new to CMIS and Drive.
    Thanks a lot.

    YOU HAVE ANY SPECIFIC APPLICATION ID MENTION IN YOU APPLICATION? if its yes then you have to import with same application id number,it will be working!

  • Operations supported by CMIS connector

    I was wondering what all operations defined by CMIS, are supported by CMIS connector that comes with Drive 2.1 esp. from Windows Explorer. When I right click in Windows Explorer, the Drive context menu gives only these options - Check out, Check in, Cancel check out, Show versions and Connect to. But the tech note for CMIS connector says that we can even rename a folder, create a new folder (and a few more operations) by selecting options in context menu. I believe those are not certainly the options provided by Windows but should be somewhere in Drive menu.
    Some clarification would help greatly.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
    You want to use Adobe Drive + CMIS Connector to test your CMIS server, right? Because the operations in Adobe Drive, for example, rename operation in the context menu can uses serveral CMIS services, like getObject, moveObject, updateProperties, etc, you have to know exactly the CMIS services used by Adobe Drive for each operation.
    Thanks,

  • Developing: Endless loop in Adobe Bridge with and Adobe Drive CMIS Connector

    Hi
    Currently I’m implementing a CMIS-Server for the dam system of my company, using the apache chemistry framework. One of the main requirements is that adobe drive works with it.
    At the moment I implemented only the navigation services (getChildren, getObject, …) and the repository services and test them against adobe drive. It’s already possible to navigate through folders and read assets with ad4 and the finder. So 3 days ago I installed adobe bridge (CS6) and test my server again.
    My test environment is very easy.
    root(1 object)->test1(0 objects; empty)
    First I’m opening my repository with adobe drive and then I switch to bridge and connect it. Bridge shows me the folder test1 with no errors. So I double-click it and now bridge is in an endless loop. The notification switch between ‘Keine anzuzeigenden Elemente’(No elements to show) and ‘Einen Moment bitte, die Suche läuft …’(Searching, please wait …). This only happens in bridge. When I open the folder with the finder it just works, without the loop.
    So I logged all requests, which were send by adobe drive, and get this list.
    Connecting with adobe drive
    getRepositoryInfos
    getTypeChildren (null) -> all basetypes
    getTypeDecendants (cmis:document)
    getTypeChildren (null) -> all basetypes (Why two times?)
    getTypeDecendants (cmis:document) (Why two times?)
    getRepositoryInfos (Why two times?)
    getObjectByPath (/.hidden)
    getObjectByPath (/.hidden)
    getObjectByPath (/.hidden) (Why so often?)
    getObjectByPath (/DCIM)
    getObjectByPath (/mach_kernel)
    getObjectByPath (/.Spotlight-V100)
    getObjectByPath (/.metadata_never_index)
    getObjectByPath (/.metadata_never_index_unless_rootfs)
    getObjectByPath (/.metadata_never_index)
    getObjectByPath (/mach_kernel)
    getObjectByPath (/.metadata_never_index_unless_rootfs)
    getChildren (cmis:folder,0) (rootfolder) returning only one element (test1)
    getObjectParents(cmis:folder,127) (test1) returning the rootfolder
    getObjectByPath (/.hidden)
    getObjectByPath (/mach_kernel) …
    Open the Cmis repository in bridge and doubleclick the repository
    getChildren (cmis:folder,0) (rootfolder) returning only one element (test1)
    getObjectParents(cmis:folder,127) (test1) returning the rootfolder
    Then I double click the test1 folder
    getObject(cmis:folder,127)(test1)
    getChildren(cmis:folder,127) -> empty list
    … (endless loop)
    I already checked getObject and getChildren against a reference implementation (FileShare Repository of apache Chemistry) and it returns exactly the same structure. Only the name and the timestamps are different. So my second though was to check the repository capabilities and as well they are both equal. Now I’m a little bit desperate because I spend already 3 days in try and error bugfixing but nothing worked. So here are my questions.
    Is there a logfile for bridge because I thing this refreshing happens after an exception. I already checked the adobe drive log and it contains only asset not found errors for (e.g mach_kernel …).
    In which circumstances does bridge reloads a folder?
    Debugging of adobe drive: I already read http://forums.adobe.com/message/3928595 but it doesn’t work in AD4 any more, I only get info/error/fatal messages.(I changed the log4j config files in AD4ServiceManager.) Does something changed or did I forget something?
    Why does AD4 make 2 or more times the exact same request? (Look table above).
    I hope my English is good enough to understand.
    Thanks

    After two months I'm a little bit smarter so I can answer some of my question by my own.
    No there is no logfile for bridge, but I was able to debug the scriptcode from the ad plugin, which is installed in bridge.
    If an error occures in the plugin
    I was able to decompile the cmis connector. That helps a lot  when ad logs with weird exceptions.
    Because AD maps the actions of the filebrowser(finder,explorer) to cmis and this one does sometimes the exact action two or more times.
    Unfortunately is wasn't able to fix my main problem, but I found a workaround to use cmis in bridge. I deactivated the ad plugin in bridge and after that action, bride display the cmis volume as normal volume. Sadly some actions like to manage relationships etc. are with this workaround not usable but for me this is alright.

  • Problem with a mass delete operation

    Hello,
    This questions concerns Oracle v10g.
    A table is used to record user login information and other connection related details such as IP address, date of connection, time of login, time of logout etc. from a web-based application.
    This table becomes quite large (3 million records+) and is purged once per month of all records older than 3 days old.
    The purge is done with a simple delete based on the date of connection CDAT and the column DISX (disconnection=True/False)
    DELETE FROM LOGTAB where CDAT < sysdate-3 and DISX='T';The columns CDAT and DISX are indexed. This delete operation can tale up to 10 minutes.
    Sporadic problems arise during this delete operation when users connect or disconnect : for those users trying to disconnect, the resulting UPDATE operation on the table currently being deleted seems to hang.
    For the users trying to login, there can be a delay (as the INSERT is in suspense). In the worst case all sessions become blocked until the DELETE is finally commited thus rendering any connection impossible for the duration.
    There is no conflict between the data being deleted and the data being UPDATED or INSERTED.
    The DELETE should only lock the rows that match the WHERE clause, so where is the contention arising from? Could this be index contention?
    Is there a better way to manage such mass deletes on such high transaction tables? Partitions?
    Thank you in advance.

    Have you considered partitioning this table? It would of course depend on whether most queries are looking at the columns you mention, but it would mean you could truncate the partitions older than 3 days ...

  • ADF delete from more than one table with single delete operation

    Hi all,
    I have a scenario in which I am trying to delete record(s) from 3 tables.
    My jspx page looks like this:
    Column1:drop down from 1st table
    Column2:drop down from 2nd table
    Column3:drop down from 3rd table
    Delete Commit
    I have created a view object which has these three tables as entities. I drag dropped the view object and displayed these three columns.
    Now when i select any one or all three or any two out of these and click delete, only the "column 1" gets deleted from 1st table. The remaining two tables remain unaffected.
    Y is this so?
    Can't I use one delete operation for all three tables' DML operation in single go?
    Thanks.

    If you have a business case that requires deleting from 3 tables at once when removing a single row in a view object then you may look for the problem in you data model...
    Until then I'd suggest to create a database view providing the information you need (plus the PKs fron the individual tables) and creating entity and view objects based on this view. An "instead of dele" trigger attached to the view can do the actual delete operation on the 3 tables.

  • Custom CMIS Connector MoveHandler Cache issue

    Hi everybody.
    At the momment I'm working the custom CMIS connector, that should work only with Alfresco. Connector is almost done, but I'm having strange issue with MoveHandler. What happens is when I move file into another directory, and try to move it back, Windows Explorer display the message like the file already exists, and do I want to replace, rename or cancel moving. The same thing happens with moving folders. After initial move, asset is really moved, I checked on Alfresco, and also Adobe Drive displays that the asset is moved into right directory. So, probably there are some cache leftovers after first move. I followed next procedure: rename asset, than delete if exists in destination directory, than move, and than UpdateRecipe for destination object. I tried even to create delete recipe for original file, but it didn't help. Can anybody help me please?
    Thanks in advance

  • Delete operation is not working to delete selected row from ADF table

    Hi All,
    We are working on jdev 11.1.1.5.3. We have one ADF table as shown below. My requirement is to delete a selected row from table, but it is deleting the first row only.
    <af:table value="#{bindings.EventCalendarVO.collectionModel}" var="row"
    rows="#{bindings.EventCalendarVO.rangeSize}"
    emptyText="#{bindings.EventCalendarVO.viewable ? applcoreBundle.TABLE_EMPTY_TEXT_NO_ROWS_YET : applcoreBundle.TABLE_EMPTY_TEXT_ACCESS_DENIED}"
    fetchSize="#{bindings.EventCalendarVO.rangeSize}"
    rowBandingInterval="0"
    selectedRowKeys="#{bindings.EventCalendarVO.collectionModel.selectedRow}"
    selectionListener="#{bindings.EventCalendarVO.collectionModel.makeCurrent}"
    rowSelection="single" id="t2" partialTriggers="::ctb1 ::ctb3"
    >
    To perform delete operation i have one delete button.
    <af:commandToolbarButton
    text="Delete"
    disabled="#{!bindings.Delete.enabled}"
    id="ctb3" accessKey="d"
    actionListener="#{AddNewEventBean. *deleteCurrentRow* }"/>
    As normal delete operation is not working i am using programatic approach from bean method. This approach works with jdev 11.1.1.5.0 but fails on ver 11.1.1.5.3
    public void deleteCurrentRow (ActionEvent actionEvent) *{*               DCBindingContainer bindings =
    (DCBindingContainer)BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
    DCIteratorBinding dcItteratorBindings =
    bindings.findIteratorBinding("EventCalendarVOIterator");
    // Get an object representing the table and what may be selected within it
    ViewObject eventCalVO = dcItteratorBindings.getViewObject();
    // Remove selected row
    eventCalVO.removeCurrentRow();
    it is removing first row from table still. Main problem is not giving the selected row as current row. Any one point out where is the mistake?
    We have tried the below code as well in deleteCurrentRow() method
    RowKeySet rowKeySet = (RowKeySet)this.getT1().getSelectedRowKeys();
    CollectionModel cm = (CollectionModel)this.getT1().ggetValue();
    for (Object facesTreeRowKey : rowKeySet) {
    cm.setRowKey(facesTreeRowKey);
    JUCtrlHierNodeBinding rowData = (JUCtrlHierNodeBinding)cm.getRowData();
    rowData.getRow().remove();
    The same behavior still.
    Thanks in advance.

    JDev 11.1.1.5.3 sounds like you are using oracle apps as this not a normal jdev version.
    as it works in 11.1.1.5.0 you probably hit a bug which you should file with support.oracle.com...
    Somehow you get the first row instead of the current row (i guess). You should debug your code and make sure you get the current selected row in your bean code and not the first row.
    This might be a problem with the bean scope too. Do you have the button (or table) inside a region? Wich scope does the bean have?
    Anyway you can try to remove the iterator row you get
    public void deleteCurrentRow (ActionEvent actionEvent) { DCBindingContainer bindings =
    (DCBindingContainer)BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
    DCIteratorBinding dcItteratorBindings =
    bindings.findIteratorBinding("EventCalendarVOIterator");
    dcItteratorBindings.removeCurrentRow();Timo

  • Need to Set Current Row when Using Built-in Data Control Delete Operation?

    I have an af:table bound to a ViewObject (VO) collection (no Entity Object) - within each row, I include a column that contains a 'Remove' command button so the user can remove the row. I add the command button by dragging/dropping the built-in delete operation from the VO on the Data Control Palette. When I use this as is (no changes), the Remove button always deletes the first row in the collection, not the selected row. Do I need to add code to set the current row, and if so can someone please provide an example and specify where I need to add? thanks.
    ------ .jspx af:table with command button to remove each row ------
    <af:table value="#{bindings.ListView1.collectionModel}" var="row"
    rows="#{bindings.ListView1.rangeSize}"
    first="#{bindings.ListView1.rangeStart}"
    // note: I don't have any code added for selectedRow or makeCurrent - assuming this is built-in?
    selectionState="#{bindings.ListView1.collectionModel.selectedRow}"
    selectionListener="#{bindings.ListView1.collectionModel.makeCurrent}">
    <af:column>
    <af:commandButton actionListener="#{bindings.Delete.execute}"
    text="Remove"
    disabled="#{!bindings.Delete.enabled}"/>
    </af:column>
    ---------- corresponding pagedef file ------------
    <bindings>.....
    <action id="Delete" IterBinding="ListView1Iterator"
    InstanceName="SrchDataControl.ListView1"
    DataControl="SrchDataControl" RequiresUpdateModel="false"
    Action="30"/>
    </bindings>
    Note: I also tried solution posted on following thread, but again, only first row is deleted, not the selected row?: Delete and Commit

    I just want to delete (or remove) it from the VO. Data for this VO is not on the database.
    The function is doing what I want it to do (delete from the VO), its just always deleting the first row, versus the selected row. I select the command button next on a column next to an item further down in the list and it deletes the first row. The problem is setting the selected row to be removed - I thought setting the current row would be taken care of by the SelectListener?
    selectionState="#{bindings.MyIspListView1.collectionModel.selectedRow}"
    selectionListener="#{bindings.MyIspListView1.collectionModel.makeCurrent}"

  • Memory Leak in BI SDK with XMLA Connector ?

    Hi,
    I am using BI SDK 3.5 with XMLA Connector. I noticed that in com.sap.ip.bi.sdk.dac.connector.xmla.impl.Connection class, the LocalTransaction object is rollbacked when the close() method is called.
    This makes a call to the endTransaction() method of Repository class with "true" parameter and leads to informations storage into a RepositoryDBMemory instance.
    The only way I found to avoid this is to call the endTransaction() method with "false" as parameter, which is what is done in commit() method of the LocalTransaction class.
    So, I tried to commit the transaction before closing the connection but in XMLA mode, the getLocalTransaction() method throws an BIResourceException so it is impossible to commit it. This is the first issue.
    Second issue: it seems that data hold by the DataSetContentHandler is not freed. I tried using SAP Parser, Xerces, Java Parser but it has no effect. I hava a MDX query that returns 13000 lines, the XML file size is about 15Mo.
    In a for loop with 10 operations, it leads to a OutOfMemory error quickly (only 7 iterations OK with -Xmx256m -Xms256m options). On each iteration, the memory grows about 25 to 30Mo !
    For the first point, I do not call the close method on the connection object and it is garbage collected (but, in my opinion, it is quite strange not calling the close() method on a connection object).
    For the second one (DataSetContentHandler), I have no idea. Has someone already encounter this problem ? The Netbeans profiler tells me it is this object that holds all java.lang.String objects. Is it right ?
    I saw in DataSetContentHandler class that it has two static fields: one for the row cursor of the dataset, the other one for column cursor. Why ? Is it OK in a multi-threaded context ?
    <b>This is urgent as we will not put the project in production mode with such a memory leak ! We must find the problem very quickly.</b>
    Thanks in advance for any help you might give to me !

    David Degardin (Ubik-Ingenierie)

    I found the same thing. Tracing the execution back I found the only place this function was called was as part of the setup, so you shouldn't have to worry about it getting called multiple times and leaking memory. The trouble seems to be when the AudioPlayer dealloc method is called, the memory is not cleaned up.
    My fix was to modify the dealloc in AudioQueueObject to check to see if audioLevels is nil and, if not, free it. This seems to have fixed the problem.

  • I deleted Scramble with friends on my iPad. It wasn't working properly. Then I couldn't find it to reload it. I found it with my iPhone 6 but it is not in the cloud to use on my iPad. What's up?

    I Deleted Scramble with Friends Free from my iPad because it was not working. It closed every time I tried to play a game. Then I tried to reload it. It's not in the App Store. Then I found it on my iPhone 6 and loaded it. It still doesn't show up on my iPad. I have not upgraded to the ios8 operating system as I heard it would make my iPad not work properly. where is Scramble with friends and why cant I find it in the app store on my iPad?

    That app is made for the iPhone - the app will work on the iPad but is not specifically designed to take advantage of the larger screen.
    When searching for an app, look at the top of the screen for a button that says iPhone Apps. Tap on it to switch to apps meant for iPhone and Scramble with Friends should show up.
