Deleting "trial" games

I download 60 minute trials of games a lot. On my PC, when my time was up, I would go into the control panel and completely delete the trial, totally removing it from my system. How do you do that with a Mac? Where do you go to completely delete programs, trials, or anything else that you want off? How do you "clean" a Mac?

Click on the finder icon in the dock,
go to applications
Drag the game you want to delete to the trash. It will uninstall.
or
I RECOMMMEND THIS PROGRAM AS IT DOESNT JUST UNINSTALL IT, IT GETS RID OF ALL FILES AND FOLDERS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PROGRAM.
Use this program: its called AppDelete
1. Download [here|http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/31123]
2. Install
3. Run program
4. Go to applications and drag the game or app to the wooden bin icon on the program window and click delete
ALWAYS EMPTY THE TRASH AS PEOPLE FORGET TO AND END UP WITH NO HARD DISK SPACE!

  • How to delete a games record in game center without deleting the app?

i want to delete one of my games record on game center without deleting the game app itself
    what should i do?

    Hi,
Sounds like what you want to do is evict the item from the cache, rather than remove it.  Evicting the item is effectively saying the entry in the cache is out of date, and Coherence should retrieve it from the database should a new request for the key come in.
You can set up eviction either through config, (to evict after a period of time or when the cache reaches a certain size), or pragmatically using an entry processor, (which calls remove(true) on the entry passed to it. The 'true' means evict rather than delete).
    Hope this helps,
    Andy

  • Delete a game from Game Centre which is no longer in the UK itunes store?

I downloaded and then deleted the game "demolition city!" from my 3GS and I can no longer download the game from itunes in order to delete it from gamecentre via iphone. Anyone know how else I can approach this? This game is not even in my purchases.
It seems that games should be deleted from Gamecentre itself. Just a thought.
    Thank you.

I can't! The problem is that it doesn't appear in the purchased apps list, not even in the hideen ones, but to make sure I actually downloaded it I went to the account management to check in the list of bought stuff and it does appear, but you can't download anything from there!

  • Accidentally deleted a game

The game icon duplicated in launchpad so i tried to place the 2nd icon on the trash, then i accidentally click yes which deleted the game cant see it on trash what to do?

Did you look in the Applications folder to see if the game was there? If you have not emptied the Trash, then the file may still be in the Trashcan. Click on the Trash icon in the Dock to open a window on the contents. If you see the game file there, select it then CTRL- or RIGHT-click and select Put Back from the context menu.
If it truly is gone, then re-download it from the App Store.

  • Deleting nano games?

Is it possible to delete the games(solitaire etc..) on your nano? I have been trying to, so I can free up some more room. The 500 song thing is definatley not true. I wish they would change the advertising on the song capacity.
    nano   Windows XP

The 500 song thing is definatley not true. I wish they would change the advertising on the song capacity.
Here's the math for you. (I'll use a 4GB Nano as an example since I can cut & paste from a previous post.)
Apple states that 1GB = 1 billion bytes.
4GB Nano is advertised as having 4 billion bytes of capacity. (4,000,000,000 bytes)
Since a true binary gigabyte is actually 1,073,741,824 bytes, that would mean that a 4GB Nano actually has about 3.72GB of unformatted capacity. 4,000,000,000 / 1,073,741,824 = 3.72GB
Since the iPod software, extras and formatting take up some space, you are left with slightly less than 3.72GB of space for your music. Let's ballpark the iPod software to be about 20MB... which is somewhat close. That leaves about 3.70GB for your content.
A 4minute 128kbps AAC file will be just about 3.75MB
    240 seconds * 128 kilobits per second = 30,720,000 bits.
    30,720,000 bits = 3,840,000 bytes = 3.75MB
    3.70GB = 3,972,844,749 bytes
    3.75MB = 3,932,160 bytes
    3,972,844,749 / 3,932,160 = 1010 songs.
If a 4GB Nano can hold about 1000 songs, then a 2GB Nano will hold about half that. Half of 1000 in my book is 500.

  • Deleted default games from 2330 accidentally :(

I accidentally deleted default games from my 2330. I love the Galaxy Balls game. How can I restore it or is there any place where I can download it?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

You can do either of the following :
    1) On the phone, go to Application > Option > Game Download and try to download the game using the phone, as long as the game is still available from the server. Warning : This may required data connection on your phone, along with a data plan from your phone provider.

I accidentally deleted the game Secret Passages. How do I retrieve the saved levels and scores on game center?

You should be able to redownload the game without cost. However, the levels/scores are gone unless you have a backup in iCloud or on your computer. Some on-line games store the levels/scores on the game's servers, not on the iDevice.

    Hi cor-el,
Yes I did. It didn't seem to work when just extracted into my home directory. After looking at the two wrapper scripts (firefox and run-mozilla.sh) it looked like it needed to be in /usr/local/lib/firefox-3.6.23 which I did and which works. The problem is that the Help menu is the one for 3.5.9 (including Help > About Firefox says version 3.5.9). Even if I rename the two wrapper scripts and the executable for 3.5.9 I still get the 3.5.9 Help menu. FWIW, my 3.5.9 was packaged in FC11 and the 3.5.9 firefox script is in /usr/bin.
I'm sure I'm just overlooking something obvious but here is some debugging output:
    <pre><nowiki>[mike@desktop firefox-3.6.23]$ pwd
    /usr/local/lib/firefox-3.6.23
    [mike@desktop firefox-3.6.23]$ ./firefox

    + '[' 0 = 1 ']'
    + exec ./run-mozilla.sh ./firefox-bin
    [mike@desktop firefox-3.6.23]$ </nowiki></pre>
    Thanks for any help.
    Cheers,
    Mike
