Deploy CFApplications without CF Server

Hi
I was wondering if it's possible to deploy a CF Application
on a J2EE Server without having to install CF Server.
Thanks in advance
Bernd

It depends what you mean by "install".
- need to run an installer like "setup.exe"?
- have a valid LICENCE for CF?
CF (and CF applications) can be packaged into an archive
file:
http://livedocs.adobe.com/coldfusion/7/htmldocs/00001761.htm
Pretty much all you need to do is to drop them into the
correct place in
your J2EE server structure. No install, per se.
One still needs a CF licence, though.

  • Deploy 9i Forms without Application Server ?

I wonder, whether I could deploy a Forms 9i Application without the use of the Application Server. Can anybody tell me, whether it is necessary to purchase any Oracle 9i Application Server licences, just because I want to deploy a simple Forms 9i application ?
    - Markus

I am developing forms 9i and reports 9i applications WITHOUT APPLICATION SERVER. I HAVE ONLY DEVELOPER SUITE 9i.
I have installed Dev suite 9i on middle tier. Forms services and Reports services are installed with Dev suite 9i.
I develop applications on my desktop and Install them on client machines where no Dev suite or AS installed.
Please mention what is the trouble you are having and I might serve you, if you are having the same problem that I HAD.

  • Error 401--Unauthorized when deployed on WL Managed server (10.3.3)

    Hi,
I created & started a WL-Managed server on my window desktop machine. I deployed to this Managed server, an application which is running without problem on Admin Server. (The managed server is created in the same Domain as that of Admin Server)
However, when I log on to the application on Managed server & enter the UID & PW I get the Error 401--Unauthorized page. The same security works perfectly well for Admin Server.
Any clues what could be going wrong.
    Thanks in advance.

  • How to set up Group Policy without any server installed

How to set up Group Policy on Win8 without any server installed?
I have set up 50 users on LAN and want to push softwares via one common point. From google I found to deploy Software using Group Policy. But then Group Policy occurs in Servers and I don't have any server set up.

    Hello,
a Domain requires at least one Windows server OS machine which has Active Directory installed.
As previous already mentioned from SenneVL this also requires that computers are added to the domain and that you create user accounts in Active Directory users and computers which stores the account information in the Active directory database.
In your case with single computers each machine has its own database(SAM) which stores passwords etc. this is different in a domain.
Each computer has a local policy which will be overwritten from centrally managed policies from the domain.
"The common point would be my PC (Admin PC) ."
This machine can not be used for your needs with software installation for 50 computers.
"How To Use the Group Policy Editor to Manage Local Computer Policy."
This is about the local machine and you cannot manage them for other computers from your Admin PC.
"DOMAIN part: By default Microsoft takes everyone on Workgroup. Is that not a default DOMAIN? or should I make one lets say "ABC" on every PC ?"
NO, this is NOT a domain.

  • Self Signed in Certificates without CA server

    Hi Team,
I am working to configure expressway for Cisco Jabber but i stuck now in certificate step, can i do self signed in certificate without CA server ? if yes what are the procedures to do that.
    Thanks

It is better if you use a CA server.
Please follow the deployment guide http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/expressway/config_guide/X8-1/Mobile-Remote-Access-via-Expressway-Deployment-Guide-X8-1-1.pdf

  • SQL server query without indicating server name

I am writing a query  in SSIS and  utilize servername everytime  but it drags every time
I am authorized to  work in Development area and can indicate deve  server
But   Senior  officer ask me  not to use Server name  and when  package goes to  production   query  can execute without  indicate  server name any idea
    thank you very much.

I think you're using linked server in your queries based on your description.
While working in SSIS you dont need linked server. You'll just add connection manager to connect to your dev server and database and then use it for your tasks. Inside your query you will just reference objects using schemaname.objectname convention.
You will make servername and database name configurable by adding them as configurations (parameters in SSIS 2012 if you use project deployment). Then you will be able to pass values for configurations from outside based on variety of options like through
XML file, from SQLServer table, Environment variables etc

  • Essbase 11.1.2.1 without http server

    Hi ,
Ive been trying to install Essbase 11.1.2.1 standalone mode. And my doubt is, is it mandatory to go with http server. Cause under normal circumstances starting the opmn ohs instance starts apache.exe process in my server which we dont want to be running. I came across some docs and one of john's post where i found the below workaround.
"To configure the Shared Services Registry without installing Foundation Services Web applications:
1.Start EPM System Configurator from the command line, including the –forceRegistry option
From a Windows console, change to EPM_ORACLE_HOME/common/config/version_number, and then enter configtool.bat —forceRegistry.
On UNIX, change to EPM_ORACLE_HOME/common/config/version_number and then type ./configtool.sh —forceRegistry."
will this method ensure that we can run without http server thereby eliminating the apache.exe process from server?
    thanks,

OPMN is part of the OHS installation in 11.1.2.1 but that doesn't mean OHS will be running for the essbase deployment.
If you deploy OHS then another OPMN service will be created that runs OHS.
Essbase can be started from command line or the OPMN windows service e.g. opmn_EPM_<instancename>
    Cheers

  • Programmatically start/stop applications without admin server connection

I know I can programmatically start/stop an application through WebLogic's deployment API, but the call needs to go through admin server. I was wondering if there's a way for an application to start/stop another application on the same managed server when the admin server is down. I remember a managed server could be started without an admin server (unless it's started for the first time). So I suppose there must be some way to programmatically start/stop local applications without an admin server as well.
Thank you for your help in advance.

    Hai,
I read the Oracle weblogic wlst script document without Admin server you cannot connect the managed server through the WLST script. see the below lines
"The start command starts Managed Servers or clusters in a domain using Node Manager.
To use the start command, WLST must be connected to a running Administration Server.
To start Managed Servers without requiring a running Administration Server, use the
nmStart command with WLST connected to Node Manager."
"You shut down a server to which WLST is connected by entering the shutdown command
    without any arguments.
When connected to a Managed Server instance, you only use the shutdown command to shut
down the Managed Server instance to which WLST is connected; you cannot shut down another
server while connected to a Managed Server instance.
WLST uses Node Manager to shut down a Managed Server. When shutting down a Managed
Server, Node Manager must be running.
In the event of an error, the command returns"
They are two option if you are using adminserver then we can stop the any Managed server.
The option is if you are using the nodemanager without admin server we can stop the any Managed server.
The last final solution to kill the particular Managed server pid.

  • Deploying 2005 package to server with manifest file, but deployment wont see my config file?

I have a package working and Ive installed it on one server, but cant seem to recall how I got it to see the config file Im using.  I tried using a manifest file but it simply wont pick up the config file when running through the wizard.  All Im
doing is copying over the manifest file to the server, remoting into the server, then running the package deployment wizard from there.  Why would the config file not be seen?

    Hi Shiftbit,
The issue occurs because you didn’t copy the XML Configurations file with the Manifest file and the packages to the new server. To install the manifest file in a new server, we must copy all of the following files:
    Manifest file
    .dtsx files of the packages
    XML Configurations files
If we only copy the manifest file, the deployment will succeed without the package configurations stage but no packages will be installed in reality. If we only copy the Manifest file and the .dtsx files of the packages, the deployment succeeds without the
package configurations stage, and the packages will be installed successfully actually. Only when we copy all of the three type files, the deployment can recognize the package configurations successfully and install the packages properly.

  • Failing EJBs without killing server?

              Hi All,
Is there anyway to fail an EJB to cause failover without actually killing the WLS its deployed on?
I tried undeploying an EJB using the console but that didn't work.
I wish to verify EJB failover without the server going down.
              Thanks in advance,
              Andrew Quinan

Killing the server is one way to cause the RemoteException.
EJB automatic failover can only happen in idempotent stateless session bean
or read only entity bean. For other ejbs, you have to write special code in
the CLIENT side to implement the failover.
You can write special ejb method that can generate the RemoteException, in
your client side code, you can catch such exception and replace the remote
              interface and make call again.
              Hope this can help.

  • Can weblogic workshop be installed without weblogic server

I was trying a custom installation to install weblogic workshop 8.1 without weblogic server. But, when I only choose weblogic workshop, it still picks the weblogic server to install.
I want to understand can we just have weblogic workshop installed on various machines, so that we can build on various machines and finally deploy them all to a single server??
Any help for me to understand this will be much appreciated.
Note: I've installed a evaluation version of the software, not sure if that makes any difference..

Has anyone else solved this problem? We too are experiencing the same problem.
We are trying to build a .JWS file from within an ANT build script. The build script compiles the site into a single EAR file that should contain a deployable and usable JWS component, however it obviously does not.
If anyone has a solution, please let us know. We're facing a code freeze on this project by this Friday and really need some help.

  • How to delete the deployed composite in weblogic server 11g

Can someone tell me how to delete the deployed composite in weblogic server 11g ?I'm facing an issue where the weblogic server is getting started and immediately after sometime the server changes to "Force shutdown"..When i checked the logs, there is an error in one of the composite i deployed..So now i wanted to delete the deployed composite? Please help ....
    Thanks

    Hi
    1. Deleting a domain will not hold any references. But make sure that under your user_projects/applications also remove the folder that matches with your domain. Basically under user_projects folder you will see 2 folders named applications and domains. When you create a domain say mySoaDomain, it will crate a folder with the same name under applications folder also with few files like em.ear. If you do this, then you can crate a new soa domain and use the same old name.
    2. NOW comes the most important thing. If you create a new SOADomain, at one point, you had to give details for soainfra and mds schemas. If you give your current existing db details (that was used for your old deleted domain), then you may still have the issues. Because the soainfra db may still have the instances for your old process.
    3. If you really want to have a full clean soa domain, here is what you do:
    a) Run rcu and drop the existing schemas for soainfra and mds.
    b) Run rcu again and create above schemas again.
    c) Now create SOADomain using config wizard and refer above clean rcu db and you are all set.
    3. Under your domain root folder, just searh for files named with your workflow and you should see the .jar location.
    Thanks
