Deployment Guide for CS5 Master Collection
Im looking for the Deployment toolkit for Adobe CS5 along with the Guides on how to deploy CS5.
I know there are deployment guides for Adobe CS4 but im looking for the updated CS5 Version.

Is it possible to have Indesign CS4 and CS5.5 both installed on the same Mac? 10.6.8
We have a bunch of recent Intel macs at our corporation. Currently they should all have 10.6.8. They were all imaged from a base image that has Adobe CS4 embedded in it.
We are now using a packaging software part of the JAMF Casper suite and AAMIE to push CS5.5 to the end users.
The problem is that we want to keep CS4 on the end user's computers in case of issues. That way the end users can try Indesign 5.5 and see if it does everything they need to do and still have Indesign for backwards compatiblity.
So we created a CS5.5 install package using the AAMIE tool which works fine. We then use Casper to spam the package out to a Mac.
The issue that arises is that a few Plugin errors occur during the lauch of Indesign CS5.5 such as:
Adobe inDesign does not recognize InCopy Bridge UI.InDesignPlugin as a valid plug-in.
Adobe InDesign does not recognize InCopyExport.InDesignPlugin as a valid plug-in.
Adobe InDesign does not recognize InCopyExportUI.InDesignPlugin as a valid plug-in.
Adobe InDesign does not recognize InCopyImport.InDesignPlugin as a valid plug-in.
There was one more plugin error that occured before the first one but I forgot to write it down.
If we click okay to them, the application launches okay but when you quit and relaunch it, you still get one of the errors.
Is this because both applications are installed at the same time?
Is it offically okay as per Adobe to have Indesign CS4 and CS5.5 installed on the same Macintosh?
What else should we be considering what to do?Well currently, I'm just testing this issue. I just installed the trial version of Adobe CS4 suite on my mac and then deployed the CS5.5 package on top off it The resulting errors that I listed above are the same ones that occur when the end user has a licensed volume license install of CS4 and CS5.5.
So I'm still back to square 1 where when I deploy cs5.5 on an end user's mac, they get those plugin errors when they launch Indesign CS5.5.
I am not sure about the licensing restrictions, I asked my Director and he is going to check with our VAR. -
Media Encoder CS5 crashing on quit
I'm testing deploying CS5 with filewave. Thus far it seems to be working well except for every time I open up Media Encoder CS5 and then quit it, upon quitting, it crashes stating, "Adobe Media Encoder CS5 quit unexpectedly".
Any ideas how I can resolve this?

I tried the suggestions in the link you provided by allowing adobe qt32 server.exe and dynamiclinkmanager.exe in and out connections. I even tried disabling the firewall temporarily altogether but it didnt help.
I dont have afterfx.exe or pproheadless.exe (I have the design Premium CS5 suite, so no after effects or premiere for me unfortunately)
Could it be something else causing the problem?

I am deploying CS5 design Premium to the users in our organization. I have recieved the complaint from one of the users:
"in photoshop and illustrator guide lines are not showing up quite the way they should ie when you drag the crop tool around an image in photoshop it should draw guidelines as you drag, however it just makes the image flicker"
I updated the Intel G45 Video Driver on the machine to the latest version directly from Intel, and now the issue is:
"The crop tool in photoshop doesn't have any guidelines now."
Are there any known issues with CS5 and the Intel G45 Video? Is there a specific version of the Intel G45 driver that anyone has working? Or, is there something else that would cause this issue?

Rosy#55There´s is no other driver. And it's Intel, of course it's buggy . But maybe somebody knows a workaround?
I changed some of the OpenGL settings (the only thing you CAN change in the driver panel) and i got Photoshop to draw the layer during resize (slow and buggy...) by turning AF on/off - but when i restart Photoshop it doesn´t matter if anisotropic filtering is turned on or not. I also tried to change the other settings... nothing. Even after a reboot.

Unable to add msi update created by aamee to new installation package.
Initially, we created a cs5 msi package include updates (updates at 632mb) has been deployed by sccm to a classroom with 32 clients - Dreamweaver, Photoshop...etc works fine under student accounts.
Only the help F1 button does not work due to missing folder - which it works once you update the second time - try on a test machine.
Have created a msi update package at 3.2 GB of size - which we try to deploy by sccm which generates an error - cache is not big enough. !!!!!! - but didn't generate an error when we deploy cs5 package at 9.2 GB!!!!....
Now, we are trying to create a new cs5 package including the second updates at 3.2 GB. in the hope that it will install all together. When we can to the part that ask for updates we use the add update button - but generates an error - can't find the zip file....even know the package has been move to a zip file!!!!!!! Am I missing something?You need an installer's forum... which this is not

Make sure your AO is associated to the workstation object, and if you are
calling msiexec directly, you select 'run as unsecure system user' under run

I have tired both ways and get the same results. The problem is the MSI I believe. Adobe has created some custom installations that require elevations within the MSI file. We associate the AO with user groups so the workstation association may be problematic. My next step is to try and package my own CS5 installation with Adminstudio Repackager and see if that has any different results. I have the deployment guide to help. We'll see. -

Remote Update Manager with AAMEE 2.1 deployments.

I've noticed the AAMEE 3.1 Beta has some new options that integrate with Remote Update Manager and CS6 installation packages, that allows you disable updates, but still run them with Remote Update Manager. If I've deployed and Adobe CS5.5 package built with AAMEE 2.1, with the ability to install updates disabled, will I still be able to use Remote Update Manager to install updates to those deployments? Or will I need to continue to deploy them manually? If I want to deploy CS5.5 and use Remote Update Manager for updates, what settings should I be using in AAMEE 2.1 when I build my packages?

RUM can also be used with CS5 & CS5.5 and by the sounds of it would fit in with your current configuration very well. If user's are non admins or you do not want each client pulling in there updates automatically then we would suggest turning off client updates in AAMEE and then using RUM.
Have you looked at setting up AUSST in your environment ? it is great to use in conjunction with RUM but you can of course just use RUM if you prefer.

Having massive problems with Adobe Application Manager Enterprise edition.
I’m trying to make a msi package so I can deploy CS5 standard from SCCM. I’m using Adobe Application Manager Enterprise edition which is pretty strait forward. It creates the .msi that I install from an admin cmd prompt with ‘msiexec /i CS5.msi /quiet’.
It installs the software, and immediately after it uninstalls it. At the end of the log file I get this entry:
Total components installed: 0
Total components repaired: 0
Successfully removed 59 components:
I can see in the folders that it installs the software, then uninstalls it.
I’m using Adobe Application Manager Enterprise edition v 1.2.57.0 and Win7 x64.
And if I install it manually it works fine.
Any ideas?
To make it more interesting... it works on Vista x86 but NOT on Win7 x64. HELP!!!!!!

Always have resource files on C:, not a USB disk.
Same thing for target. C:, not USB disk.
Command prompt as administrator is not enough, be logged on as local admin or domain admin.

Prevent Adobe extension manager from running

does anyone know where I can turn off the Adobe Extension manager from running everytime I start Dreamweaver?
We are a school so clearing down the profiles on each machine after each logoff. Needless to say at the next log on it runs again, not something we can expect the studenst to have to do every log on! As we deployed CS5 via group policy we do not appear to have the luxury to be able to uninstall the manager seperately.
Anyone know where in the registry we can disable it from running everytime we start Dreamweaver?

The extension manager should not start with dreamweaver as it is a stand-alone application, have you checked that it is not set to start along with dreamweaver in your servers 'start-up' script for dreamweaver.

Silent install using the MSI and incorporating the activation

I am trying to do a silent install of contribute for SCCM 2007 using the MSI and although the install works i can't figure out how to get the activation and registration silent as well.
I have tried using admin stuido (SCCM version) and adding the registry keys but that is not working.
Does anyone have any idea how this can be done?

I'm trying to set up Adobe Update Server Setup Tool by following the instructions from the Tech Note on this page:

Using Terminal I navigate into the directory with the app:
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/PDApp/Enterprise/utilities/AUSST/AdobeUpdateServerSetupTool2.0.app/Con tents/MacOS
From there I enter the command as described in the Tech Note:
AdobeUpdateServerSetupTool2.0 --root="Path to directory in my web server"
What I get returned is:
-bash: AdobeUpdateServerSetupTool2.0: command not found
I'm completely stuck!
I'm using Lion 10.7.4 and for now I'm using Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition 2.1 as I am deploying CS5 and CS5.5 packages.
Thanks!@theboyuk - OK figured out that Adobe docs, with regards to Mac, are slighlty vague. The reason I was getting "AdobeUpdateServerSetupTool: command not found" is because of the command itself.
If you're running the command from the location of AdobeUpdateServerSetupTool, instead of:
AdobeUpdateServerSetupTool --root="/serverroot/updates/Adobe/CS" --fresh
Run:
./AdobeUpdateServerSetupTool --root="/serverroot/updates/Adobe/CS" --fresh
