Deploy to Weblogic  JDBC open failure

I have deployed successfully prior to the 7/1/2009 Jdeveloper release.
When I tried to deploy using the new release I receive the same error messages no matter the technique.
I used the ear sync set check box. This generates a web and jdbc module in weblogic.
I unchecked it. Manually setup JDBC source.
I generated a ear/war and manually deployed using weblogic console.
I ran with NO JDBC at all.
After each manually JDBC setup I always tested the connection, always successfull.
The messages are always the same.
Unable to open JDBC.
Null pointer
password null
I MUST be doing something really stupid, but I can not figure it out.
I am using no custom anything.
I just created a one form app and tried to deploy it, but same error messages.
I am deploying to windows server 8

Hi,
2 things to check.
1. Your In your AppModule config change the JDBC URL to JDBC DS (as mentioned by frank - I hope you have already done that) and Test the JDBC Datasource you've created via the weblogic console. Also, make sure the You've added the Datasource (you've created through the wls console) to the AdminServer (or ManagedServers).
2. Are you adding any ADF Libraries (Another application deployed as ADF Library) to your application? If yes, check out the connection information of that Application too.

    This error happens to me after i installed WebLogic and tried to deploy an application.
    I added then a dataSource and connection pool using the WebLogic console.
    After that i restared my machine, because it become so slow.
    After that i was not able to restart WebLogic, i got the error:
    Caused By: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.jbo.server.DatabaseTransactionFactory
         at weblogic.utils.classloaders.GenericClassLoader.findLocalClass(GenericClassLoader.java:280)
    I modified the file config.xml, by commenting the entry <!-- jdbc-data-source-factory...
    I renamed the name of the file JDBC_Data_Source-0-3407-jdbc.xml (may be the 3407 is a specific number for my installation)
    After that i restarted the WebLogic, i now i can acces it by its console.
    Thanks.

  • Deployment Weblogic Integration Application failure !

    Hi,
    I've a problem when I'm deploying my application on BEA Weblogic 9.2 !
    If I'm deploying via the Administration console my application, I'm getting :
    Unable to access the selected application.
    Exception in AppMerge flows' progression
    This is due to the weblogic-extension.xml file in my ear file (under META-INF). This is the content of this file :
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>
    <weblogic-extension xmlns="http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/90">
    <module-provider>
    <name>TaskPlanModule</name>
    <module-factory-class-name>com.bea.wli.worklist.internal.taskplan.module.TaskPlanModuleFactory</module-factory-class-name>
    <binding-jar-uri>task-plan-binding.jar</binding-jar-uri>
    </module-provider>
    <custom-module>
    <uri>Loans/Loan Approval.task</uri>
    <provider-name>TaskPlanModule</provider-name>
    <configuration-support>
    <base-root-element>task-plan</base-root-element>
    <base-namespace>java:com.bea.wli.worklist.internal.taskplan.config</base-namespace>
    <base-uri>Loans/Loan Approval.task</base-uri>
    <base-package-name>com.bea.wli.worklist.internal.taskplan.config</base-package-name>
    </configuration-support>
    </custom-module>
    </weblogic-extension>
    When I'm packaging my application without this file, the console deployment works but I do not have access to my task plan !
    If I deploy my application WITH weblogic-extension.xml, it works too...
    But with the console... the error appears all the time !
    To install my application at my customer, I need that the console deployment of my application works !
    Thanks a lot in advance,
    Best regards,
    Mathieu Triquoit

    If the application is worklist not sure you can deploy it through console. you can deploy using
    weblogic.Deployer -adminurl t3://<HOST>:7001 -username weblogic -password weblogic -deploy -name WorklistTest -source WorklistTest.ear ?upload

  • Help with the Oracle Fusion Order Demo deployment to Weblogic Server

    Hello all,
    I am new to SOA and am in the process of understanding SOA concepts. I am trying to deploy the Fusion Order Demo sample application to the Weblogic server. I am following the instructions given at : [http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe11jdev/bulldog/deploysoaapp/deployment.htm|http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe11jdev/bulldog/deploysoaapp/deployment.htm] .
    I am getting error when running the ant task "server-setup-seed-deploy-test" which deploys the Composite applications to the Weblogic Server. The ant log is pasted at the end of the post. The only difference i found from the instructions is that i do not have a AS11gR1SOA directory in my MW_HOME. Instead i have Oracle_SOA1 and i gave that directory's path for the parameter "soa.server.oracle.home".
    I tried running the sub tasks in the "server-setup-seed-deploy-test" individually and only the last task "test-fod-composite-end2end" failed. Since the other tasks like "compile-deploy-all" were successfull, I tried to see the deployed applications in the soa domain. When i checked the soa domain in the Weblogic server console, I see only the "B2BX12OrderGateway" under the soa-infra. The OrderBookingComposite and others are not deployed.
    Please help me in fixing this. Hope I have explained the problem correctly.
    Thanks in advance
    Nishan

  • Need help calling SOAP service deploy in WebLogic

    Hi bros & sisters,
    My name is veda.
    Need some help in calling a SOAP binding web service deploy in Weblogic, using classic ASP
    After reading this link http://www.aspfree.com/c/a/ASP/Consuming-a-WSDL-Webservice-from-ASP/,
    1. i still do not know what value to pass in for parameter SoapURL. I did try http://invicta.app.vic:8002/RTO/RTOService/getCustomerOffers, but return a negative result.
    2. Am i right to say i cannot do a SoapRequest.Open "GET",
    or SoapRequest.Open "POST", because i only have a SOAP protocol binding instead of HTTP protocol binding.
    I really appreciate any help to enlighten me.

  • Excel macro error after deploying in Weblogic

    Halo,
    I have written excel macros and it is working fine.
    but if the same file if i try to open from hyperlink after deploying in Weblogic server , I get the error
    "error occured initializing the VBA libraries.
    If Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) was not installed, or was set to Install on first use,
    (advertised, or set to install on demand) you may receive this error message.
    Depending on the mode of installation used and the rights of the user to change current settings,
    it is possible to install VBA through Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Microsoft Office, Add or Remove
    features. If Visual Basic for Applications is not listed as an installable feature of Office, the administrator
    of your system may have disabled it so it is impossible for you to install it. If VBA is not installed,
    it is impossible to run VBA applications/projects on this computer. "
    1. Even though Excel VBA application is installed in my machine , why am i getting this error.??
    2. I would like to know is there any way to open the excel file even though if the excel software is not installed in client machine??
    Appreciate your help.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    I do not see any reason for this to not work.
    Is there any difference between the preferences for RX and RXI. Please go to "edit" -> "Preferences" -> "Security(Enhanced)" and uncheck "Enable protected mode at startup".
    Are you able to open any pdf from command line with the same command:
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe"  <<PDF_FILE>>
    Thanks,
    Amish.

  • NullPointerException in weblogic.jdbc.rmi.SerialConnection.createStatement()

    Hello,
    we are running WLS 6.1 SP2. The following code sometimes (rather rarely) throws
    a NullPointerException:
    Connection dbConnection = DBUtil.getDBConnection();//here we get the Connection
    stmt = dbConnection.createStatement(ResultSet.TYPE_FORWARD_ONLY, ResultSet.CONCUR_UPDATABLE);//it's
    where NPE happens
    The error report says:
    java.sql.SQLException:
    java.lang.NullPointerException at
    weblogic.jdbc.rmi.SerialConnection.createStatement(SerialConnection.java:396)
    So, I think, this is something in WebLogic's code... Is this a known issue (I
    couldn't find a similar report in the newsgroup)? Is there a workaround?
    regards,
    Vitaly

    As far as we know, those fixes (or some of them) were not introduced in SP4. Are

    upgrade to 6.1sp4.

    Hi Joseph,
    Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, we cannot move to SP3 or SP4
    - they have
    conflicts with other patches from WebLogic we use. This error happens
    rather rarely.
    In most of cases this very stuff works. But it would be intresing to
    have this
    patch for diagnostics, in case of future failures. Would you send it
    to me, please?
    Thank you in advance,
    Vitaly

    happening
    is that the rmi driver is having to catch any non-SQLException, andthrow
    a SQLException
    with the message of the original exception. Unfortunately, the fullstacktrace
    of the
    original NPE is lost. If you want, I can send you a small diagnostic
    patch, which will
    just make the rmi object retain the whole original stacktrace in the
    exception it throws,
    and that will help lead to the real problem.
    This may well be a bug that was fixed in sp3 or 4. Is it possible
    for you to upgrade to
    the latest stuff?
    Joe

    Vitaly

    Appreciate any ideas we might try to fix this issue.

    We have set the 'maximum capacity' of that data source to 500.
    When we submit 100 BPEL instances to be started, we see (by monitoring v$session inside the database) that the number of sessions opened by BPEL never goes beyond a few (5 to 10) database sessions.
    Yet we still encounter this 'pool is suspended' error:
    weblogic.jdbc.extensions.PoolDisabledSQLException: weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourceDisabledException:
    Pool SOALocalTxDataSource is uspended, cannot allocate resources to applications..We can then reset the status of this pool back to running. It then runs for a while, but after 5 - 10 minutes the status flips back to 'suspended' again.
    In search of some kind of workaround, we have also set (in composite.xml) the minimumDelayBetweenMessages to 2 seconds, just to ensure that we throttle the creation of our BPEL processes:
    <service name="ReceiveFlowEvent" ui:wsdlLocation="ReceiveFlowEvent.wsdl">
        <interface.wsdl interface="http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/adapter/aq/PASSOA/WorkflowDispatcher/ReceiveFlowEvent#wsdl.interface(Dequeue_ptt)"/>
        <binding.jca config="ReceiveFlowEvent_aq.jca">
            <property name="jca.retry.count">3</property>
            <property name="jca.retry.interval">5</property>
            <!--property name="jca.retry.interval">20</property-->
            <!--property name="jca.retry.backoff">2</property-->
            <property name="minimumDelayBetweenMessages">2000</property>
            <property name="adapter.aq.dequeue.threads">1</property>
        </binding.jca>
      </service>
    ...Any more clues are appreciated.

  • Weblogic.jdbc.wrapper.Blob_oracle_sql_BLOB ERROR

    Hi,
    we have an application developed with Oracle ADF with several CRUD screens. We deploy it on Weblogic and use as database oracle10G 10.2.0.4.
    On one specific screen, a delete button fails and gives following error:
    ERROR: weblogic.jdbc.wrapper.Blob_oracle_sql_BLOB
    Anybody who encountered a similiar problem and did you find a solution?
    Cheers,
    Robby

    Hi. The issue is that some oracle-specific BLOB JDBC code (which
    requires casting to concrete Oracle classes) is conflicting with
    WebLogic's prudent and correct behavior of wrapping every
    java.sql object delivered from it's WLS datasources. If you are
    able to alter the relevant JDBC code, I can describe what you
    can do.

    - SBI'd like to see the config.xml file, and also if yo could turn on JDBC logging,
    and show me the jdbc.log file? From the line numbers in the stacktrace, I am
    guessing this is 8.1sp4. If that's correct, can you take this attached debug
    jar, and then edit your start-weblogic script to add this jar in front of
    the CLASSPATH the script creates, just before calling java. Reboot, reproduce
    the problem, and the stack trace printed out will be more understandable.

  • What jar contains weblogic.jdbc.pool.Driver connection pool class?

    Hi all,
    I am trying to use the JDeveloper IDE to generate code that I'll deploy on WebLogic

    I want to add the necessary files to the JDeveloper classpath so that during development

  • JDBC Problems -- NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/jdbc/wrapper/JTSConnection

    Hi, newsgroup:
    I have been developing with the Workshop for about a month now, and everything has been going great until last week. I have been connected and able to retrieve data from our AS/400 using the jt400 drivers, but all of a sudden something happened that caused me to get the following error. If anybody can assist, it would be greatly appreciated.
    Some background: I have the JDBC JAR inside the classpath for my server, and it is loading it properly because I can test the connection pool from within the appserver's admin console.
    In appserver:
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/jdbc/wrapper/JTSConnectionHi. Did you get a response for this?
    Make sure you don't have the JDBC jar in the client classpath too. Just make
    sure it's in the server classpath. Let me know if that helps.

  • Can Oracle SQL Flavor be used When BC4J is deployed in WebLogic as EJB?

    Hi,
    Does anybodys know if Oracle SQL Flavor can be used When BC4J is deployed in WebLogic as EJB?
    We succeeded in deploying BC4J to WebLogic 7.0 & 6.0, but we had to select the SQL92 option for SQL Flavor when the first BC package is created in a project. Selecting Oracle option for SQL Flavor will cause EJB to fail, and client get a ClassCastException.
    We still want to use Oracle SQL, is it possible to use it with WebLogic?
    Thanks.

    We figured out that Oracle SQL Flavor can be used with WebLogic, but only with DB connections created from JDBC URL, not work with DB connections from WebLogic connection pool.

  • Type cast weblogic.jdbc.wrapper.ResultSet to OracleResultSet

    Hello, I have a application using Spring 3.5 , Hibernate 3.6 and deployed over weblogic 10.3.4.
    This application running fine when i was using the c3po connection pooling, but when i switch to use the weblogic connection pooling, I started getting issues while retriving the XMLTYPE object from database.
    This issue what i am facing is when i am trying to type cast the weblogic wrapper resultset to Oracleresultset i am getting a type casting issue.
    Below is the code...
    Can anyone please help me to find out how to type cast the weblogic wrapper objects. I am stuck on this issue for more thn a week now.. Please help me..
    public Object nullSafeGet( ResultSet rs, String [ ] names, Object arg2 )
    throws HibernateException, SQLException
         System.out.println("rs ========= "+rs.getClass());
    System.out.println("rs ========= "+rs.getClass().getName());
    weblogic.jdbc.wrapper.ResultSet wlsResultSet = (weblogic.jdbc.wrapper.ResultSet) rs;
    System.out.println("wlsResultSet ========= "+wlsResultSet.getClass().getName());
    OracleResultSet oracleResultSet = (OracleResultSet) wlsResultSet.getVendorObj();
    System.out.println("ors ========= "+oracleResultSet.getClass().getName());
    XMLType xmlType = XMLType.createXML(oracleResultSet.getOPAQUE(names[0]));
         //XMLType xmlType = (XMLType)rs.getObject(names[0]);
    return (xmlType != null)?xmlType.getDOM():null;
    }
