Deploying 11g Fusion Web App: FacesServlet class not found

Hi,
I have made a very simple Fusion Web Application (ADF) having only one .jspx saying "Welcome Weblogic".
This application I would like to deploy onto my WLS 11g (10.3). I have installed the ADF Framework including the jsf 1.2 jar.
I have created weblogic.xml...

When I deploy I get this error in the log:

It seems like the weblogic.xml and/or weblogic-application.xml is ignored?
Or is it the insallation of the ADF Framework that is missing some configuration?
In the setDomainEnv.cmd file placed on the server the following is included:

Problem solved!
First I added following to the setDomainEnv.cmd

Then I came across another post having the same issue. He told me that I had to start up my server (managed server) manually. Therefore I first stopped my server
stopManagedWebLogic.cmd [servername]
(eg. stopManagedWebLogic.cmd AppServer)
and then started it
startManagedWebLogic.cmd [servername]
(eg. startManagedWebLogic.cmd AppServer)
Now the setDomainEnv.cmd also got executed (look in the server log to verify it - eg. java.library.path is set, and a lot more which is not set when you normally start the WebLogic)
So - I am now able to deploy Fusion Web Applications to my managed server in the WebLogic.

The errors I've been getting belong to old versions of files not being refreshed. For example, I changed one of my mvc views to take a different model. After deploying the code, the controller was sending in the new model but because the view didn't update,
it was expecting the old model to be passed in and hence caused a runtime error. It seems to me like Azure is caching certain files. I think that is the case because when I viewed that view file I changed in the VSO editor, it showed the correct code but the
front end was still showing the old code.
The only thing I've been able to do that has worked reliably over the last week is stopping the website, deploying the code and then starting the website. The code gets deployed correctly every time I do that. This is not an ideal scenario and I'm hoping
there's something that can be done.

Office web app 2013 file not found

Hi,
Trying to access a document preview from sharepoint 2013 i get "file not found" from the office web app server.
In the OWA server uls logs I can see a messege "disk cache file not found" so i looked at the cachelocation and the renderinglocalcachlocation
directories and i can only find the doc preview files in the renderinglocalcachlocation dir.
I also made sure the identity of openfromurlhost and openfromurlweb application pools have access to this documend and i
run the openfromurlenable command.
any ideas ?

I managed to run "wls_jumpstart" but I am unable to start the console even though I have created a domain.
I cannot find any instructions anywhere about deploying ADF Fusion Web Apps on Amazon EC2 Weblogic or any case studies of success anywhere.
Hence, I am not sure if ADF Runtime is available on the Weblogic on Amazon EC2. Can you please help me in this area as well?
It will be great if you can point me to some instructions on how to load web apps to Amazon EC2 Weblogic as I am quite new to both JDev and Amazon EC2.

Servlet class not found error deploying a WAR on Web Logic Server 8.1

I'm re-deploying an updated web application to a web logic server, but when I navigate to the login page of the web application to test it, I get a class not found error for my login servlet. I have both the web.xml and the weblogic.xml descriptors in my WEB-INF directory, and all of my compiled classes are in the WEB-INF/classes directory, is there something else I'm missing? Any help would be much appreciated.

None of the classes are in a package (I know it's not the best idea, but I didn't write these, I'm just doing some updates). So the file structure is pretty much just WEB-INF/classes/
At the moment I've got a fix by just putting the entire project (not in any sort of archive) on the server itself instead of deploying it as a WAR, any thoughts on why the WAR isn't working would be much appreciated though.

Class not found problem in Tomcat Web app

I created a Web Service using JWSDP. I want to invoke a Web service method from my servlet. It works fine on Win NT Workstation, but on Windows 2000 it gives class not found error because it fails to pick up the jars that come with the pack in common\lib directory. I copied the jars to all possible lib paths as below, but looks like there's something wrong with the class loader. This problem comes in all our win2k machines. Does anyone have any clue about this.

If it can't find servlet.jar in the Tomcat dir, you should do what I did. I copied servlet.jar to C:\j2sdk1.4.0_01\jre\lib\ext\servlet.jar
Then I added that to my CLASSPATH, and it finally found servlet.jar (it never found it in the Tomcat folder where it was).

Class not found in web-inf/classes folder of war file within ear file

Hi all,
          I am using Weblogic 8.1 sp4. I have a war file within an ear file. I am trying to deploy the war file with a few classes within its web-inf/classes folder, however when the classes are in that folder I consistently get a class not found exception when trying to instantiate them. If I package the classes in a jar file and then put that jar file within the web-inf/lib folder of the war, the classes are also not found.
          If I put these two classes in the app-inf/classes folder of the ear file, everything works as expected and the classes are found.
          Any ideas of why this is happening. This seems to be a very simple thing that should work, but appears to not be working at all.

I want to create an ADF Lib from APP_LIB, so I create a ADF Lib deployment profile on the ViewController project. Since the ViewController project is dependant on the Model project, the library should be created with EO, VO, AM, Pages, Fragments and TaskFlows. Right? Or would I create different Deployment Profiles for the Model Project and the ViewController Project and therefore 2 create two seperate ADF Libs?
Now I want to import the ADF lib from APP_LIB into another ADF Fusion Web app called ENTERPRISE_APP. If I imported the APP_LIB into the ViewController of ENTERPRISE_APP, would the EO, VO and AM show up in the Model project? Or do I have to import APP_LIB into both the Model Project and ViewController of ENTERPRISE_APP?
Is it better to keep the Libraries seperate for the Model Project and ViewController in APP_LIB and create two seperate ADF Libs for the Model and ViewController? What do the experts recommend when creating ADF libs on a project with Model Project and ViewController Project and also what is the best way to import the ADF LIB into a ADF Fusion App that also has a Model project and ViewController Project.

For proper separation of concerns we recommend creating a separate model ADF library. However, the ADF BC content can also go into the ADF library you create

They don't show up as they are internal implementation details. If you configured the library in your model project, then you can reuse entities, view objects and AM defined in the library

Depends on the level of modularization and reuse you are after. Say the ADF library contains a bounded task flow that uses a specific ADF BC model, then if the model is not used or required by any other view, you could put it into the same ADF library and deploy the task flow as a whole (you would need to configure the database connection after importing the lib). If the model should be used with other task flows or applications, then it makes sense to have it in its own ADF library.

Issue of deploying a fusion Web Application with integrated Weblogic server

i'm using Jdev 11.1.1.3.0 to develop a fusion web application, with a model and ViewController Projects.
When i try to deploy this application with the integrated server, i have any issues.
The origin seems to be that it builds an application with 3 profiles. The model application is recognized and deployed as a webapp and not an ADF library as it should be..

How can i fix the model project to be deployed as an ADf library and not a webapp with the integrated weblogic server ? Because with me it doesn't do it by itself.

Class not found error for COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver

i have written this code:

and once i try to run it, it gives out a class not found exception error.
I haven't changed anything with the classpath since I don't think the problem is with the classpath. I have read in the IBM Developer Kit for Java documentaton that the AS/400 Developer Kit for Java automatically adds the db2_class.jar file to the classpath. So why do I get a class not found exception error?

I was using Web Spehere 4.0.3 and trying to connect to a database on DB2 7.2. I was just following a tutorial and trying to get a handle on Web Sphere. I am running all of these on a Windows 2000 Operating System. Here are some of my observations :
a. db2java.zip packaged under %DB2ROOT%\SQLLIB\JAVA, does not work.
b. CLASSPATH needs to be set to %DB2ROOT%\sqllib\java12\db2java.zip
c. Include this as one of the packages in the package defined in
WebSphere, using the Java Perspective.
d. Ensure that case sensitivity is respected. All though the package
shows up as COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver, for some reason, it
will only accept com.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver.
With these settings, I was able to connect to a db2 database.
I am a little puzzled on the following. I did not include java.io package, but still it could print the messages. Did anybody have a similar experience

Class not found for class generated by autotype when deploy

I'm getting a ClassNotFoundException when I attempt to deploy a webservice that was originally generated from an XSD.
1) I create the stubs using "autotype" and the schemaFile attribute. Class files are generated and placed in the location specified by destDir.
2) I then run source2wsdd to generate the web-services.xml and WSDL files. source2wsdd specified the "javaSource" attribute and points to the java file the WebService is to call.
I also take all the generated JAVA classes and put it into a JAR file for step 3.
3) I run wspackage to create the EAR file. For "webAppClasses" I specify the class files that goes with the "javaSource" specified in step 2. I also take the JAR file created in step 2 (which contains all the code generated by step 1) and use "utilJars" to put in the the /lib directory of the war file.
4) When I deploy, I get a "class not found" for one of the classes that is in the utility jar file I created in step 2. I have verified that the jar file is in the "web-inf/lib" directory.
What am I not seeing that is causing WebLogic (WLS 8.0 SP2) to not find the class?

My service now deploys, but I'm having problems doing a "source2wsdd" from inside
Eclipse. Found another customer in this group with the same issue, and added my
info to his message.
For now I have to run the build outside Eclipse, but at least my service is deployable.

I also take all the generated JAVA classes and put it into a JARfile for step 3.
3) I run wspackage to create the EAR file. For "webAppClasses" Ispecify the class files that goes with the "javaSource" specified in
step 2. I also take the JAR file created in step 2 (which contains all
the code generated by step 1) and use "utilJars" to put in the the /lib
directory of the war file.
4) When I deploy, I get a "class not found" for one of the classesthat is in the utility jar file I created in step 2. I have verified
that the jar file is in the "web-inf/lib" directory.
What am I not seeing that is causing WebLogic (WLS 8.0 SP2) to notfind the class?

For weeks I have been viewing a doggy day care center via their web cam. This weekend I upgraded to Lion and have been unable to view the center. I get an error message for Java plug-in 1.6.0_29 ....webcam class not found. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Sorry, don't know what else to suggest unless there's a URL to the problem stream that someone here can try. Otherwise we can't test it to try and determine what might be wrong.
BTW, make sure they're testing it with a Mac, not with a Windows system. If they test only with Windows, what they say is or is not working doesn't mean much.

Class Not found : oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver when calling web service

Hi,
I have installed the Oracle Data Integrator Public Web Services on Apache Tomcat 5.5 application server with Apache Axis2
When I try to call the web service OdiInvoke using the operation "listScenario" using only the JdbcDriver as input parameter, the response I get back from the web service call is:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Class Not found : oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
Using the operator "getWebServiceVersion" I get a successfull response back som the connection seems fine.
Obviously the error has to do with the driver not beeing available but where should I put the driver? Or how do I make it available? When working from Topology Manager, all connections are fine.

Solved it on my own by putting ojdbc14.jar in the following directory: <Apache-Tomcat install dir>/webapps/axis2/WEB-INF/lib/
Thought I'd share in case some one else has same issue

Running a patch today and it is failing with:
Class not found: oracle.apps.ad.jri.adjcopy
The log states this:

Error:

I have tried running maually and still no luck.
It is a frteshly cloned environment. Autoconfig has been run successfully.
The only help from Metalink was that I have unzipped the patches in a folfer with space in it. So I renamed folder but still same error.
The patch is 7415848 ATG Framework Patch.
oracle 11.5.10.2, Windows 2003, RDBMS 10.2.

Another thing I tried was to relink, but got the following:
