Destination Service API - missing indirect class reference

I'm trying to use the destination service api as described in the <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/17/d609b48ea5f748b47c0f32be265935/content.htm">documentation</a>, but Eclipse can't compile the code due to an indirectly referenced class called com.sap.security.core.server.util0.IDEException.
References to com.sap.exception, security.class and tc/sec/destination/interface have already been set. According to the documentation, there should also be a reference to tc/sec/destination/service, but I don't have such an option in the context menu "Add Additional Libraries".
So, where do I find the missing IDEException?
Best regards,
Frank

The class com.sap.security.core.server.util0.IDEException is in library com.sap.exception. That's correct. Don't worry about that.
You have to add those 3 additional libraries to your EJB Project with the right-click over project option:
security.class
tc/sec/destination/interface
com.sap.exception.
You have to add 4 references in your application-j2ee-engine.xml: : 3 to those 3 libraries and another one to the service, which doesn't appear in the popup list. Type it manually. The correct name is "tcsecdestination~service" (not /), and reference target type is "service".
If this doesn't work, you can add to the 'java build path' of your EJB Project the libraries:
tc_sec_destinations_interface.jar
tc_sec_destinations_service.jar
... you can find them into the path of your server:
/usr/sap/<SID>/JC00/j2ee/cluster/server0/bin/interfaces
/usr/sap/<SID>/JC00/j2ee/cluster/server0/bin/service
(some people has had problem with correct versions)
If you are using DCs, you have to add those 3 libraries as Used DCs in your EJB Project. And set the 4 references in application-j2ee-engine.xml
Hope this helps you. Don't forget the reward points
Best regards.

  • Have the web service API URLs changed?

    I'm currently in the beginning stages of working with the iTunes U Web Service API, and I'm running into an issue.
    Step 2 of uploading a web services document (pg 50 of the admin guide) says to request an upload URL. The base URL for this request:
    https://deimos.apple.com/WebObjects/Core.woa/API/GetUploadURL
    doesn't seem to be valid. I am receiving 404 errors:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>404 Not Found</title>
    <meta name="generator" content="Indigo">
    </head>
    <body>
    Not Found
    The requested URL /WebObjects/Core.woa/API/GetUploadURL was not found on this server.
    </body>
    </html>
    I've tried added the identifier path but still no luck. Just to be clear, I am generating and sending a proper authorization token; the issue is that the destination URL seems to be invalid.
    Have the API URLs changed or am I missing something?
    Thanks

    Hi Chris,
    A couple of things ...
    First is that you want to read page 54 of latest admin guide.
    Nextly, the basic way to access the API hasn't changed ... Apple has changed the XSD and the specifics of the API itself ... but not the way you call it. That's been pretty steady since I've been messing with it.
    The base URL should look like this:
    https://deimos.apple.com/WebObjects/Core.woa/API/GetUploadURL/your-university.ed u.111.222.333
    "111.222.333" is called a "handle" and it uniquely specifies a resource (track, cover image, etc.) within iTunes U. "111.222" is a path to the resource "333".
    After the base URL, you have to add the same kind of token string that you would for "Browsing" iTunes U ... that is a string in the form ...
    credentials=foo&identity=user&time=123456&signature =abc123abc&type=XMLControlFile
    A question mark "?" separates the base URL from the token string. Whatever you do, do -not- forget the type=XMLControlFile! The manual does not emphasize that you need to add this token, but you must to use the API.

  • Where is the latest javadoc for Workflow Services API?

    Hi all,
    anybody knows where to get the latest javadoc for Oracle BPEL Process Manager
    Workflow Services API Reference 10g Release 3 (10.1.3) ?
    In the javadoc it is said that IWorklistService.getWorklistTaskDetails(..) returns IWorklistTask but apparently it returns a Task object.
    Also, I saw some of the interfaces and classes are deprecated and replaced by classes in oracle.bpel.services.workflow package, where is the jar containing this new package?
    Thanks a lot for the help,
    santoso

    Thanks for posing the question as to where is the javadoc for 10.1.3.1. Now, what is the answer?

  • Process for adding a boolean option to the web service API

    Hey guys,
    Here's a little background:
    I'm currently working on adding an optional "strict" mode to some of the unmarshalling functions in SchemaMarshaller that will throw exceptions when receiving bad data for certain fields, and also improving the date handling while I'm at it (I want null instead of mangled dates when receiving bad data when strict mode is off).
    This is for my benefit at the moment as I'm tired of spending time debugging Flex code when XFire and Oracle are spitting out rubbish (like empty xsd:DateTime nodes, DateTimes in xsd:Date nodes, etc) - but I'm sure other people would like to use it too while we don't have a response validator, so I'd like to do it in a way that I can submit as a feature request (with patch) on Jira.
    My questions are about the procedure for stuff like this- where should this option be made public in the API, and who would I talk to about it? Or would it be best for it to always be strict? - That's how I'd like it :) Perhaps it should just log errors when it encounters bad data?
    This is the first thing I'd like to "add" to the SDK rather than a simple bug-fix, so I just want to do things in a kosher manner. Sorry if I come across like a total noob :)
    Cheers,
    -Josh

    Hey Josh,<br /><br />I'm swamped at the moment but appreciate your interest and your<br />contributions to Flex and WebServices thus far. I'll try and get some<br />time to look into your specific request and what you're hoping to do at<br />the code level, but to answer your question about test cases, you should<br />consider the NIST testsuite for XML Schema datatypes.<br /><br />BlazeDS has historically maintained the WebService implementation, so it<br />appears their test case for NIST based schema tests starts out here (and<br />refers to many data type test cases in the /nist subdirectory).<br /><br />http://opensource.adobe.com/svn/opensource/blazeds/branches/3.0.x/qa/app<br />s/qa-regress/testsuites/flexunit/src/tests/flexunit/xml/NISTXMLSchemaTes<br />t.as<br /><br />Pete <br /><br />________________________________<br /><br />From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Josh<br />McDonald<br />Sent: Tuesday, July 08, 2008 8:21 PM<br />To: [email protected]<br />Subject: Re: Process for adding a boolean option to the web service API<br /><br /><br />A new message was posted by Josh McDonald in <br /><br />Developers --<br />  Process for adding a boolean option to the web service API<br /><br />Yeah I knew it'd have to be somewhere outside of SchemaMarshaller, as<br />it's [ExcludeClass] anyway so end users don't see it, nor is it<br />documented in the api docs. • Self service api for 11.1.2 B2B???

    Hi All,
    I have installed 11.1.2 Soa suite and B2B comes along with it.. I wanted the pointer to documentation that explains about using the self-service APIs for tp and agreement creation....
    Regards,
    Praveen

    Hi Nitesh..
    I was successfull in creating the TP by using the following xml..
    <SelfService xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"

  • Java Print Service API in Java Stored Procedure (Linux)

    Hi
    We are running an Oracle 10g database on Linux and I am in the proces of developing a java stored procedure which should utilize the Java Print Service API.
    I have made a simple stored procedure to list all available printers and the DocFlavors they support (se the code below).
    My problem is that no printers are listed. I have made a standalone java app. with the same code and executed it directly on the OS level of the Linux box through the Sun JDK 1.4.2 and here I get two printers.
    Is there any specific configuration I need to do to make it work?
    I am wondering if I need to grant specific authorisations through dbms_java for it to work...?
    Any help is greatlyh appreciated.
    ************************************** CODE BEGIN *************************************
    import javax.print.DocFlavor;
    import javax.print.PrintService;
    import javax.print.PrintServiceLookup;
    import javax.print.attribute.HashPrintRequestAttributeSet;
    import javax.print.attribute.PrintRequestAttributeSet;
    public class TestPrintService {
    public TestPrintService() {
    public static void listPrinters() {
    // Get all available printers and their supported DocFlavors
    PrintService[] pservices =
    PrintServiceLookup.lookupPrintServices(null, null);
    System.out.println("Printer services: " + pservices.length);
    for (int i = 0; i < pservices.length; i++) {
    PrintService pservice = pservices;
    System.err.println("Printer: " + pservice);
    DocFlavor[] docFlavors = pservice.getSupportedDocFlavors();
    for (int j = 0; j < docFlavors.length; j++) {
    DocFlavor docFlavor = docFlavors[j];
    System.err.println("DocFlavor " + docFlavor.toString());
    System.err.println();

    Cheers,
    Jacob Vennervald

    Found this on Oracle support:
    Cannot List Available Printers From The Database Using A Java Stored Procedure [ID 372694.1]
    Applies to:
    Oracle Server - Enterprise Edition - Version: 10.1.0.4.0
    This problem can occur on any platform.
    Symptoms
    Able to list available printers on a machine when running Java code outside the Database.
    When running the same Java code inside the Database as a Java Stored Procedure, no printers are found.
    Cause
    Due to security restrictions, this is expected results.
    The Java Docs state:
    "Services which are registered by registerService(PrintService) will not be included in lookup
    results if a security manager is installed and its CheckPrintJobAccess() method denies access."
    Also from the documentation it states:
    "A PrintServiceLookup implementor is recommended to check for the SecurityManager.checkPrintJobAccess() to deny access to untrusted code. Following this recommended policy means that untrusted code may not be able to locate any print services. Downloaded applets are the most common example of untrusted code."
    Using the checkPrintJobAccess(); call, it does produce a Security Exception when run inside the Database but not when run outside. The exception can be viewed within the log file found in the UDUMP directory.
    Solution
    Run the following code to confirm obtaining available __printers can not be done...__
    This is the code to create the Java Stored Procedure
    CREATE OR REPLACE AND RESOLVE JAVA SOURCE NAMED "ListPrinters" AS
    import javax.print.*;
    public class ListPrinters {
    public static String AvailablePrinters(){
    String strList;
    PrintService[] pservices =PrintServiceLookup.lookupPrintServices(null,null);
    if (pservices.length > 0 )
    strList = pservices[0].getName();
    else
    strList = "No printers found";
    return strList;
    public static String listprinters() throws Exception {
    String listofprinters;
    try {
    SecurityManager sm = System.getSecurityManager();
    if (sm != null) sm.checkPrintJobAccess();
    catch (SecurityException ex) {
    System.err.println("Sorry. Printing is not allowed.");
    listofprinters = AvailablePrinters();
    return listofprinters;
    This is the PL/SQL Wrapper
    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION Get_Printer_Test RETURN VARCHAR2 IS
    LANGUAGE JAVA
    NAME 'ListPrinters.listprinters() return String';
    This executes the code
    SQL> SELECT Get_Printer_Test FROM DUAL;
    GET_PRINTER_TEST
    No printers found
    This is the output found in the trace file in the UDUMP directory
    *** SESSION ID:(144.28) 2006-07-08 09:02:25.518
    Sorry. Printing is not allowed.

  • Issue using Page Service APIs

    Hi
    Based on instruction provided in the document below I have created a simple java class to pull back all pages created through the Page Service API.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/webcenter.1111/e10148/jpsdg_page_service.htm#BABFEDAH
    Unfortunatelly the code keeps coming back with nothing even though I can confirm that there are few pages previously created for scope "s8bba98ff_4cbb_40b8_beee_296c916a23ed".
    I need help how I can sort this issue out.
    Thanks in advance

    import oracle.webcenter.page.internal.model.PageServiceDC;
    import oracle.webcenter.framework.service.ServiceContext;
    public class Class1 {
    public Class1() {
    super();
    public List<PageDef> getPages()
    List<PageDef> pages;
    List<PageTreeNode> listPageTreeNode;
    String DEFAULT_SCOPE = "s8bba98ff_4cbb_40b8_beee_296c916a23ed";
    PageServiceConfig config = new PageServiceConfig(mdsSess, DEFAULT_SCOPE);
    PageService mPageService = PageServiceFactory.createInstance(config);
    pages = mPageService.getPageList();
    System.out.println("Size " + pages.size());
    System.out.println("Pages 0 Name = " + pages.get(0).getName());
    return pages;
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    Class1 class1 = new Class1();
    class1.getPages();
    }

    I am able to create new pages using the button added by dragging dropping the Page - Create New task flow.
    I can confirm that since the table shows all the pages created using the Page service.
    This SR is raised to request for some example java code that is needed to redended the new pages created using the PAge service as Tabs.
    I've added the followind lines to the jspx page source
    Rendering Pages as Tabs Using af:navigationPane
    <af:navigationPane id="tabs">
    <af:forEach var="tab" items="#{MyPageServiceBean.pages}">
    <af:commandNavigationItem text="#{tab.title}" id="cni1"/>
    </af:forEach>
    </af:navigationPane>
    This relies on a Managed Bean and the POJO associated to it that uses the getPages() method available in the Page Service API to pull back all pages.

    Hi, saxotechpm
    saxotechpm:
    Is there support for inserting an object that has lookup relationships to other objects:
    Using the WSAPI I have tried to insert an object that has a lookup relationship to another object for pulling a number of fields.
    The insert works if I set the appropriate object id for the linker eo on the lookup button field, however none of the data fields from the linked eo are drawn into the object.
    I have also tried running an update with the following syntax. The update works on non linked fields  but the linked object data elements are never updated.
    The following NEOQLsyntax is used:
    update eo_60700 set button_select_contact=721238,button_select_account=721237 where Id=731033;
    721238 = an instance of a contact object
    721237 = an instance of an account object
    731033 = the target instance object being updated - the expectation is that this object would get the data elements linked from the two other instances.
    Thanks
    Yes, we do support of linked Enterprise Objects in WSAPI for detail sections and for header fields. But due to some internal issues headers are not  work properly. But now everything is OK. It has been fixed and it will take some time while you will be able to use it on production. But this fix will be delivered in the nearest patch. So in the October you can use this feature already on production.
    Thanks for your request and sorry for any inconveniece.

  • BI Request stuck in Service API

    Hi,
    I am trying to load some data in BW. And the BW data load request seems to get stuck in Servie API.
    There's no job created for this request in R/3 althought a job is running in BW.
    In the request the Processing Step is "Service API" and doesn't progree to "Extractor".
    I checked SM51 for available background processes and there are available processes in both BW and R/3.
    The basis guys couldn't find anything unusual either.
    Is there anything I am missing here?
    Any comments would be much appreciated.
    Thanks a lot.
    -RMP

    Hi
    in R3, Tcode SM37, you can see your job in released jobs or cancelled jobs.
    Release - happens whenver system busy and wating for the resources.
    Cancel- happens if you do not have authorisation to start or by someother issues.
    Thanks
    Kumar
