Detecting deadLock in Remote JVM using JCosole

I am trying to monitor deadloack situation in my JVM using JConsole shipped with JDK1.6.I am able to do it for JVM running in my local machine.On clicking the
detect deadlock button, it lists the threads, if any, that are causing the deadlock.
The problem happens when I connect to a remote JVM and try to click on Detect deadlock.I am able to connect to the remote JVM and view the details.But on clicking the Detect dead lock,the JConsole gets disconnected automatically.
Please help me understand the possible reason for this behavior.
Thanks in advance

Managed to solve the problem just before sending the unit back to technical support.
It seems I installed NI-RIO for Rseries devices which was on a CD.  Although this showed up in the NI software list with NI RIO Compact and a list of other NI-RIO drivers, this did not have the specific drivers/software for my reconfigurable chassis 9102.
I found this out when looking through packaging and finding a CD, NI-RIO for CompactRIO Reconfigurable Embedded Systems.  I had to remove previous NI-RIO software so I could install the required files off this CD.  This also allowed me to see the device in the target list for LabVIEW 7.1.
It seems a trivial error but when you have so much different stuff to install, it can go over your head.

    Thanks for your response. I found that, when I copied the shared library to /usr/lib and
    did: ldconfig -n /usr/lib it worked
    But the problem is, this is my computer, but the computers that I am going to run my actual
    JNI application, have restrictive permission. Could anyone please let me know how I can
    do the work without ldconfig. I mean is there anyway I can configure my .so file's path without
    copying it into the /usr/lib folder and without ldconfig?
    I will appreciate any reply. Thanks.

  • MAX can't connect to CompactRIO on remote subnet using NAT

    Hello. This is our problem:
    We have one CompactRIO (NI 9024) and our server PC on different subnets. Between them there is a firewall, which has FTP and 44516 ports open. The firewall performs NAT, so the server doesn't see the "real" IP of the cRIO.
    The problem is that when I add the cRIO to MAX ("remote subnet") using the NAT IP, it can detect it, but after some packets it tries to communicate with the real IP of the cRIO, which is not visible from the server and communication hangs.
    I attached a Wireshark log. Server IP is ".230", NAT cRIO IP is ".162" and real cRIO IP is ".122".
    We are using MAX 4.6.2 and NI-RIO 3.4 on the server.
    Has anyone had this NAT problem before? Any idea about how to solve it?
    Kind regards,
    Daniel

  • Security between two jvm using JNDI

    Hi ,
       I want to access the UME service of the SAP J2EE Container using a stanalone client application.
    So the client would be running on remote JVM.
    Here we use the JNDI service to communicate between the client and server.
    p.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY,"com.sap.engine.services.jndi.InitialContextFactoryImpl");
                        p.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, providerURL.trim());
                        p.put(Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL, securityPrinciple.trim());
                        p.put(Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS, securityCredentials.trim());
                        Context ctx = (Context) new InitialContext(p);
                        Object objRef = ctx.lookup(ejbName.trim());
    I want to know that is the communication between the client and server secured in this scenario
    Best Regards

    Java Remote Method Invocation by default does not support authenticated and encrypted transport.
    That is, objects sent over the network are not encrypted.
    A firewall can be used to secure a Java RMI application. Here, the firewall must allow access to specifically known ports. That is, these ports cannot be denied access by the firewall. SOCKS provides a partial solution to the use of RMI through firewalls in that it protects outgoing RMI calls, but incoming RMI calls as well as RMI call-backs are not protected.
    This may be overcome by using bi-directional RMI implementation through the firewalls. However, it requires the use of specific settings that can relax the security or application level proxy servers, thus increasing the administrative overheads. Also, changing the security policy to allow bi directional RMI traffic should only be done with extreme care. A better solution towards securing RMI is by means of supporting authenticated and encrypted transport, so that a network attacker cannot alter data on communication. This can be achieved by running RMI on SSL.

  • How can I access a database remote without using dblink, synonyms,aliases?

    My store procedure access a remote tables using dblink, synonyms, alias, but by business company requirenments I nedd to use another data base access method. My PL/SQL statement looks like
    select c.cus_id, c.cus_name, p.bankaccno
    into v_cus_id, v_cus_name, v_bankaccno
    from customer c, payment@finantial p
    where c.cus_id = p.cus_id
    Are any method else to connect to several remote databases concurrently?
    If Yes, plase say me how is it, or tell me where do I obtain some examples, or any documentation.

    Ok, But I must not use any of these data base access method, metioned: dbliks, aliases, synonyms.

    Ok, It is enough for now, I am surprised for the response time and for their arguments, thanks a lot.

    If you want to access a table in a remote database using SQL, you will need a database link. It would be exceptionally odd for the business to require that you access a remote database and to prohibit the use of database links. What is the business reason for that combination?
    If you want to look into rather more esoteric solutions, you could load a JDBC driver for the remote database, write a Java stored procedure that queries the remote table using that JDBC driver, and then cobble together some PL/SQL that joins the two result sets. You won't be able to reference the remote table in SQL and the solution won't scale well as data volumes increase and you'll be writing a whole lot of code to manually join tables together, but it does avoid database links. Of course, whatever concerns lead to the ban on database links would probably apply to loading a JDBC driver into the database and writing Java stored procedures to access the remote database, but since you haven't explained the reasoning behind the restrictions, we're just guessing.

  • Oracle VPD on Remote database using DBLINk

    Hi All,
    How can i apply row level security on a table that is available in another database using DBlink
    we have two databases PDSSM and EVTA, and i would like to apply row level security on a table in EVTA from a schema in PDSSM using dblink. MXODSADM IS A SCHEMA IN EVTA AND MXEMBARGO IS A SCHEMA IN PDSSM. there is a dblink(EVTA.GMM.COM) between mxembargo and mxodsadm.
    begin
    dbms_rls.add_policy (
    object_schema => 'MXODSADM',
    object_name => 'vehicle_retail_sale',
    policy_name => ' MXEMBARGO_EVTA_POLICY',
    function_schema =>'MXEMBARGO',
    policy_type => dbms_rls.SHARED_CONTEXT_SENSITIVE,

    policy_function => ' MXEMBARGO_EVTA_POLICY.MXEMBARGO_EVTA_PREDICATE',
    statement_types => 'select, insert,update,delete',

    hello
    I have one short question to you.
    Is that possible to create view at remote database using dblink? Following syntax returns error
    create view ViewName@DbLinkDame (ColumnName) as
    (select 1 from dual )
    "ORA-00905:missing keyword"
    Is that possible at all?
    And particulary - is that possible when remote database is MSSQL and I am using heterogeneous services?
    I really appreciate your help
    best regards

    Edited by: wojpik on Oct 21, 2009 3:59 AMI doubt you would be able to fire any ddl through database link. You have to connect to remote database to run any ddl even if it is Oracle or some other database.

  • Creating a directory on a remote machine using a UNC path

    Hi all,
    Is it possible to create a directory on a remote machine using a UNC path such as \\Server\Share\Directory?

    The tables on your pages are images. Not very convenient if the visitor wants to copy the information and use it.
    Read this how to use tables :

    Or use a database on the server with MySQL and make tables with PHP :

  • Can I find the OS of a remote system using LabVIEW?

    I wish to be able to start an application on a remote system using
    LabVIEW. To do this, I need to know what the OS of the remote system is
    (Windows, Linux, etc). I can ask the user to provide this information
    for me, but is there any way I can get LabVIEW to automatically
    retrieve this information? I know I can use the application node with
    the OS sub-section to get this information for the local machine... is
    there any way I can remotely run this? Would VI server allow me to run
    this, if I turned it into a VI, on the remote system such that I could
    retrieve this information for the remote system? Or is there a neater
    solution I'm missing?
    Cheers,
    M.J.

    Heya... many thanks for the suggestion(s).
    The problem with my case is there's any number of users on the network
    that might be using this, and it could be running on a Windows or Linux
    box, depending on user circumstances, so trying to get a VI Starter
    type application put into the start-up of all machines just in case is
    a) overkill & b) more than I want to bite off So basically I
    need to have the VI running on the machine in order to use VI server is
    what I'm hearing & reading from the help, which essentially my idea
    of dynamically firing off labview & loading/running any VI on the
    remote system just ain't possible... hmmmn.
    Back to the drawing board then, it looks like...
    Cheers,
    M.J.

    Is this music purchased back in DRM days? I don't actually have any iTunes music so I can't test with my iTunes 7.5, but I know that without iTunes 10 you cannot even connect to the store anymore.  I wouldn't think that would require an active connection to the store all the time, otherwise how could you play music on a computer in the middle of nowhere?  Did you do something to trigger iTunes suddenly wanting to connect and check on machine authorization?

  • How to detect if the user is using SSL

    I use weblogic 5.1 sp6and NES 4.1. Netscape plug-in connects them together.
    I also install the verisign certificate on the NES 4.1.
    I want my JSP code to detect if the user is using http or https to visit my
    site. However, isSecure() will return false and getSchema will return https
    and getServerPort will return 80, even when the user is using https:// . I
    guess the reason is when the NES forwards the request to the weblogic, it is
    not using https.
    Then how can I detect the protocol the user is using? I use getHeaderNames()
    method to print out all the infomration in the HEADER. However, I find that
    it only includes client header information. Is it true that NES plug-in only
    fowards part of the HEADER information to the weblogic server?

    hi Harshmeet,
    you can use Alerts (reminder) to show your message on contextArea on Web Client (IC scenario).
    but if you really want to trigger a popup, I think the easiest way is to use JavaScript on the HTML page like:
