It's pretty simple to do with the link I've referenced. Simply create your database with populated tables, use the mentioned script to convert the database data into xml syntax, then enter your dynamic database script as the location of the xmlDataSet in the spry page linked.
View source on this page which shows the non-destructive filter in action to see how it's done! You can also spice it up a little for products, etc. by using this method. The key is to create a dynamic xml syntax from your database and then use the dynamic xml script location as your xmlDataSet in the search page.
I have an example of the auto suggest search on my homepage http://DwFAQ.info
On the top-left side of the page click on the link that says Search Tutorials to reveal the search form. Then start typing characters into the search box to see the entries instantly filter according to the characters that are typed. You can also filter further by clicking on the category checkboxes to filter by keywords AND category.
You can view the source code on my homepage to see the location of the dynamic xml syntax referenced as the xmlDataSet location and how it was implemented into the site.

inside your functions use just
nextFrame();
and
prevFrame();
and get rid of those gotoAndStop and it should work...

On the surface that looks a mighty powerful product that probably goes far beyond what we require. Looking at the system requirements, it seems that some specific Application Servers are needed (is this correct?), which we won't have. Am I correct in thinking this is a modular based product, in that I buy a base product (being LiveCycle ES ... not sure what this product does on it's own) and then add a module such as PDF Generator to it?
It's difficult to glean from the product web site exactly what this product is all about but my gut feel is it'll be a few steps beyond what we need to achieve. I might be wrong, so feel free to pull me up there but it seems this is along the lines of a total back-end Adobe solution.
If you have any other suggestions I'd be grateful, otherwise I may need to continue down the "clunky yet serviceable" HTML to PDF route

I would like to create a dynamic newsflash using dreamweaver and PHP in that the newsflash will be pulling information from a MySQL database. The newsflash should also have a link to view more information about the piece of news a user wants to know more about. Which tools do I need to use in dreamweaver and how's the procedure to go about that. Any advice is highly appreciated. Thanx in advance!

I think you´ll need at least a MySQL table with the following columns:
- id (primary key, int, auto_increment etc)
- news_headline (varchar)
- news_teaser (text)
- news_content (text)
What I´d personally add are columns such as:
- news_date (date or datetime)
- news_external_link (varchar), if a "read more..." link is supposed to navigate to an external URL rather than displaying the contens of the "news_contents" column.
Based on such a MySQL table it should be easy to use Dreamweavers standard Server Behaviors to create the usual datalist.php, insert.php, update.php and delete.php documents, and there are numerous tutorials out there which will teach you how to do that.
Am I right when assuming that you´ll also need to know how to automatically pull, say, the 5 most recent news records from the database ?

I have just purchased the new Canon 7D II. I am using CS6 and Lightroom 5.0, neither of which can open the RAW files although I see from the list of supported cameras that the 7D II is covered. I have updated both CS6 and LR so that is not the problem.

It has been indicated that both of those cameras will be supported in the final release of Camera Raw 8.7. But there is no announced release date. There never is. I assume it will be before December 31. But that is only my guess based on the fact that the release candidate expires then.

If you are a right-brained creative, and have no previous experience or propensity to be able to understand coding and database "stuff", and/or if your time can be better spent on other skills, I recommend you save your sanity and hire a developer... or at least the first time around. I have been attempting to grasp this for years... and have a library of marked up books to prove my efforts, all while trying to keep up with an ongoing client base that is always cramped. It's a wonder I still have my sanity... then again, I might not be the best person to determine that. Others might question it.
That said, I still plan to master php... one of these days.

          I have a servlet that is creating an HttpSession like this;

          The first time I call this servlet it creates a new session - however in

          page I allow the user to look at what is contained in their session
          object (their envelope
          of shopping items). Every time the user invokes the servlet again by
          selecting their
          'envelope' instead of looking in their current session object a new one
          is created.
          Therefore I can't maintain state of the servlet containing the envelope
          items.
          It sounds like other folks are having this problem as well. My servlet
          is in a web application.
          My weblogic.properties file has these entries;
          weblogic.httpd.session.enable=true
          weblogic.httpd.session.persistence=false
          // I've tried it with persistence=true also
          The problems with sessions occurs on both Netscape and IE although both
          of them
          have cookies enabled.
          Any ideas what the problem is? Is there some setting in

          add to get sessions to be persistent between servlet invocations?

          or getSession( false )?
          If you're using true all the time, you're destroying the session.

Any tutorials on creating a simple Login using Mysql and sessions?

Hey guys. I cannot seem to find any information(online) or books that cover sessions in JSF and how to do a simple log in. I can get the application to query a mysql table and check the credentials and go to the next page, but I'm not sure how to make that page locked from non authorized access. I am very familiar with PHP and using it to create database driven applications. It's very straightforward, making safe logins using mysql, and creating sessions once the user has logged in(making pages locked unless the user is logged in, etc).. I have the core java server faces book but it's a joke. I feel like its an incomplete book. It merely skims a topic, and when you think it's going to get interesting it moves on to something else. It teaches basic stuff but nothing of what I want to do(or need to do). The older Javaserver faces book that came out in 2004 from O'Reilly doesn't seem to help either. I'm just wondering where people learn JSF at. I know Java, I would say pretty well as far as desktop applications go. I really like the way JSF is layed out and would really like to use it in my next project. At the level I know it now it's perfect for static web pages with no dynamic information.(but I could use plain html for that). Thanks for all your help.

booksThe mentioned books learns you the JSF basics. They doesn't really learn the best practices / practical use cases. There you have other resources for (or just practical experiences). Besides, I recommend you to go get a book which covers JSF 1.2 or newer. The mentioned ones are outdated, as is everything else older dan two years in the programming world.

Create Records through OData using Jquery

Hi All,
I have created a OData Service in SAP ECC system in format
http://hostname:portno/sap/opu/odata/sap/Z_PORDER_SRV/PurchaseOrderHeaderCollection
I am trying to create a record from front end using JQuery.   I am able to retrieve all the records, but creation of records using Method "POST" fails.
For creating records, using the method "GET", i fetch the token "X-CSRF-Token" and then pass the token to the "POST" method.
I am getting an Exception "No Handler for Data" error is coming.   I am accessing the OData Service using the datajs framework.
(datajs-1.1.1.min.js).
Please help me in resolving this issue.

Creating a photo gallery using behaviors?

I am re-designing a website, and I'm a little stuck on how to re-create the photo gallery presentation of the original web site. Here is the original gallery:

What I'd specifically like to reproduce is the ability to click on a thumbnail, which would bring up the larger image, but with the original window remaining behind, greyed out. I assume this is something I can do with behaviors, but there doesn't seem to be a behavior that addresses this, at least among the behaviors dreamweaver CS 3 comes with. I assume a behavior that would give me the effect I want exists on the dreamweaver exchange, but I couldn't find one. Am I even correct in assuming I could achieve the effect I'm looking for using a behavior?
I'm using dreamweaver CS 3, on a mac.

The effect you're aiming for is a currently popular one known as a Lightbox.
There is no in built Dreamweaver behaviour for this. You'll need to look for 3rd party solutions such as jQuery.

Prob creating ABAP Proxy-Interface use external and interna msg definition

I've created a service interface using external definition (message type for request and response), imported via WSDL file. However, while creating ABAP proxy in SPROXY, it gave the error message "Interface uses external and internal message definition". I searched through the forum, the questions were raised but no definite answer was found. Is it not possible to generate a proxy if there is any external definition used?
Details of the error message:

Diagnosis
In a message interface you can use messages from different sources:
Message types and fault message types edited in the Enterprise Services Repository
Messages imported into the Enterprise Services Repository (external definitions, RFC, IDoc)
In the current message interface, message types from different sources have been used. Since messages from these different sources must be handled differently during proxy generation, such a mixture of messages within a message interface is not possible.
System Response
The interface cannot be generated.
Procedure
Change the interface definition accordingly in the Enterprise Services Repository.
p/s: My external definition is actually derived from a ABAP FM web service. The reason why i used external definition is that i try to avoid the tedious steps of hard-coding all the data types for the request and response message types.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

For technical reasons, proxy generation and the respective editors in the Integration Builder do not support the entire language range of XML schema and WSDL. For an overview of which language elements are supported, see the Excel spreadsheet in the SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/xi ® Media Library ® Documentation: SAP XI 3.0 (SP11) u2013 Supported XML Schema and WSDL (EN).
I couldnt find the above document in the service market place. Any hint to find it?
