DI Server returning unescaped Xml
Hi All,
I have a slight issue with the DI Server, if, for example, I do a Get operation on a BusinessPartner - if there is any data that contains any of the characters required to be escaped in Xml (the Ampersand, Quotation Mark, Apostrophe, LessThan and GreaterThan) - the DI Server will not escape them and the returning Xml is Invalid according to the Xml specification and cannot be read by the XmlTextReader without error.
I also have a similar problem when using the CommandID attribute, the Apostrophe, Ampersands and Quotation Marks will not be escaped, despite them being so when passed in.
Note that in some circumstances I have seen escaped characters but the behaviour does vary, especially for the CommandID
I've had to implement some really unsightly work-arounds to help combat this issue, has anyone else come across it?
Thanks
Gary
I've come across this same scenario for B1WS and am hoping for a solution from the community as well.

Wrong Autodiscover Server returned in XML
We are trying to migrate to new Exchange 2013 CAS servers, however the autodiscover xml information they handing out still has the old server name in it
X-CalculatedBETarget: old server
X-DiagInfo: old server
X-BEServer: old server
Persistent-Auth: old server
X-FEServer: old server
When we stop the services on the old server as a test Autodiscover fails even though dns etc points to the new server, we are not seeing any other issues, owa etc all works.
If I look at CN=autodiscover in ADSI there is no mention of the old server.
We are migrating from a single server to a loadbalanced pair, what entry should we use to ensure autodiscover doesn't fail in the even one server is down?Hi Winnie, thanks for the response, in answer
Have the problematic user been moved to Exchange 2013? What’s the mailbox server version for the problematic user?
It's all the users and their mailboxes are actually on office 365, we are running hybrid mode as we have non Exchange\AD mail systems.
Please check the
Keywords
and
ServiceBindingInformationService attributes in the Service Connection Point (SCP) object in the following location of ADSIEdit:
It's not just the SCP record as non domain joined users get the same information returned when using dns to resolve autodiscover
The serviceBindingInformation is set as the dns name for the loadbalanced address of the front end servers
https://autodiscover.domain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml
If you want to force all the old mailbox server users to connect to Exchange 2013 CAS server, please run the following command to have a try:
Get-ClientAccessServer | Set-ClientAccessServer -AutodiscoverServiceInternalUri
https://Exch13.domain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml
Again AutodiscoverserviceInternalURI is already set to the load balanced front end server address.

This happens because an app has already been deployed and you are deploying it again using the same version.
Resolution:
Open the AppManifest.xml file and change the version.

Content-Type is net being set in HTTP header. Server returns 400 Bad Request error.
Hi,
I am trying to access an XML WebService. This service requires the content type of the request to be set to "text/xml". As you can see in the source code, I am setting the req.ContentType property to "text/xml".
However, this content type seems not to be added to the HTTP headers. The server returns a 400 Bad Request error as can be seen in the log.
I've attached a System.Net.trace log and it states:

Sync Java Proxy Server response in XML
Hi !
We've this scenario: File1 <-> XI <-> Java Proxy <-> File2
Using a BPM, we made a Async/Sync workflow. It works ok. It uses a SYNC Java Proxy Server.
The problem is that inside the java proxy, we query an http source that returns already XML formated data. We need this data to be mapped from the java proxy response message type to the File2 message type.
We know that we can parse the XML data inside the java proxy and fill the response message type structures (creating items, and array items for nested records), or directly code the mapping here.
But, is there any alternative to pass the received XML from the HTTP directly to XI, and map that XML structure with the File2 message type using graphical mapping ? instead of programming the xml parsing and creating the response structure?
If we create a message type for the response of the java proxy, as 1 field that contains the whole XML code, then we would not map it....Is there any way to complete or to add something to the received XML code, to convert it to the XI message format..so XI could interpret it as a true XI message and map it transparently via graphical mapping?
Thanks,
MatiasHi Akshay !
That's exactly what I don't know how to do it.
Inside the java proxy function I have a string variable, let's call it xmlResponse, that contains:
<customer>
<name>Matias</name>
<country>China</country>
</customer>
I also have a message type created in XI (let's call it MT_Response), that has the same fields as the above message structure. And my java proxy function is declared something like this:
public MT_Response.Type myFunction(MT_Request.Type myRequest) {
String xmlResponse="";
// http connection code goes here..
xmlResponse = httpConnection.getResponse();
return ??????? what ????
I don't want to parse the xmlResponse variable in order to fill the MT_Response structure. I need a more direct way, because the content of xmlResponse is already XML !
Thanks. -

here is code of my win apps from where i am calling web service
string strXml = "";

i am just not being able to understand when this line execute
StreamReader streamIn = new StreamReader(req.GetResponse().GetResponseStream());
then getting the error The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error
not being able to understand where i made the mistake. mistake is in the code of web service end or in calling code?
help me to fix this issue. thanksHi Mou,
I just tried your win app code about calling web service, but failed. I got the 500 error after I called your service:
The error message I quoted from Fiddler:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"><soap:Body><soap:Fault><faultcode>soap:Client</faultcode><faultstring>System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Failed : Invalid credentials ---> System.Exception: Invalid credentials
--- End of inner exception stack trace ---
at BBAReman.WebSearchIndex.SearchDataIndex.StartIndex(AuthHeader auth)</faultstring><faultactor>http://www.bba-reman.com/Search/SearchDataIndex.asmx</faultactor><detail /></soap:Fault></soap:Body></soap:Envelope>
I am not totally sure that error occurred by the authentication. But I suggest you can try to add this service into your project using this method below:
1.right click the Reference and select Add Service Reference
2.input your service link and click "Go"
And you can use this service as the following:
private async void callService()
ServiceReference1.SearchDataIndexSoapClient client =new ServiceReference1.SearchDataIndexSoapClient();
var Str= await client.StartIndexAsync(new ServiceReference1.AuthHeader { Username = "Admin", Password = "Admin" });
Please try it.
Regards,
Will

NetBeans with Tomcat Help - Server returned HTTP response code: 503
Hi all, I wasn't sure where to post this.. but anyhow, my problem is as follows:
Earlier in the day, I was able to successfully deploy my application to the Tomcat server by simply running the application from NetBeans. A couple of hours away from my computer and I returned to find this error when I ran my application:
In-place deployment at C:\xxx
Server returned HTTP response code: 503 for URL: http://localhost:8081/manager/deploy?config=file:/C:/xxx
C:\xxx\nbproject\build-impl.xml:634: Deployment error:
The module has not been deployed.
See the server log for details.
BUILD FAILED (total time: 36 seconds)
Any ideas on how to solve this? I've tried reinstalling NetBeans, Tomcat, reconfiguring NetBeans but to no avail. I should also mention that I am able to successfully deploy the application sometimes when I select a different server to deploy to. >_<
Gurus out there, please help..Solved my own solution.. It had to do with one of my Hibernate named queries. =x Found that out when I switched to SUN Application Server for awhile. ^_^

Hi, I'm trying to make an application that pushes message to phones.
First of all, I use a string to make an XML Element which can be parsed by the phones:
String messageXML = "<CiscoIPPhoneText>";
messageXML += "<Title>A hello message</Title>";
messageXML += "<Text>Text to be displayed.</Text>";
messageXML += "<Prompt>prompt to be displayed.</Prompt>";
messageXML += "<SoftKeyItem>";
messageXML += "<Name>OK</Name>";
messageXML += "<URL>url</URL>";
messageXML += "<Position>1</Position>";
messageXML += "</SoftKeyItem>";
messageXML += "<SoftKeyItem>";
messageXML += "<Name>Exit</Name>";
messageXML += "<URL>Key:Services</URL>";
messageXML += "<Position>3</Position>";
messageXML += "</SoftKeyItem>";
messageXML += "</CiscoIPPhoneText>";
But when I push this message to the phones(by using Phone.push(String[], String, String, String, boolean)), I got error: "Exception:java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code:413 for URL: http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/CGI/Execute". It seems that the request entity is too large. I'm using tomcat.
Is there any idea to sovle the problem?
Thanks in advance.Hello,
would you mind posting the complete code. I guess you get this error when the XML object is invalid. -
error while executing script for sharepoint online (office 365) - the remote server returned an error: (503) server unavailable.
I am creating many site collections reading records from sharepoint list using powershell in sharepoint online tenant (office 365).
Few site collections are created and then getting above error so this error record will be skipped then few succeeding record processed then again getting error.
pattern is like:

successHi,
As it is an online environment, to troubleshoot this issue in an easier way, I suggest you contact Office 365 Support to see if there is any useful information in
the log files in the server side:

The server returned the error: Mail was unable to log in to the IMAP server “p02-imap.mail.me.com” using “Password” authentication. Verify that your account settings are correct.
The server returned the error: Service temporarily unavailableAlso if I go to system preferences accounts and re-enter the password it fixes the glitch sometimes.
