Did your nano get stuck for "regulatory delays" in China?
I bought mine on wedesday, Fedex posted an ETA of Tuesday Sept 20th. But on the website it says this:

did any of your packages get held up? fedex now has no real ETA... ***?
NO! It is still stuck in china.
I called Fedex last night, and spoke to a gentleman who said to call today to find out whether or not this batch of Ipods (yours is probably included in mine) did not have the correct paperwork filed by Apple. Some idiot didnt write the value of the product, so it has been sitting there waiting. He however reassured me today that Apple has been notified about this and they will try and get this cleared up tommorrow (Tuesday)
So hopefully, it will leave on Tuesday, and they said the earliest I should expect it is Thursday. If you are a day behind me, you might get it on friday or Thursday.
this is rediculous, never have I ever had a problem with a large company being so grossly incompetent in SHIPPING out a product after it has been paid for. I could understand if this was just mine, but its a whole grate, probably 100,000 ipods or something that is supposed to be comming out like every other day. Someone should be fired for this...

My iPhone is getting stuck for a few seconds everytime I do something, if i type a letter it will type it twice or a few times, if i click to close the browser it stucks there for a few seconds before closing, if i try to open some app it gets stuck there.
I have restored it and loaded the backed up material again. But this problem doesnt seem to go away. Sometimes it is too much sometimes it is not noticeable, so what exactly could be wrong and what ALL should I do to get it fixed? Please reply.I did that many times, I mean I do it everytime. But it doesnt seem to help. It is strange sometimes the phone is slow and stucks for a many seconds, sometimes it is just one or two seconds. Thank you for your help though, but is there something else that you could think of?

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js [2] file and possible sessionstore-##.js [3] files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

Please reply.Thank you. You are very kind. First I backed everything up, then restored as a new phone, and then i couldn't see the contacts, the contacts were not restored when i restored as a new phone. So in order to get the contacts I restored from the backup but then the same problem happened again.
What I meant to saw was that the probelm disappeared when i restored as a new phone, but it reappeared when i restored from the backup. So is there a way to just somehow get the old contacts when the phone is restored as a new phone. All I need from the current phone is the contacts to be there when I retore as a new phone.
I hope I am clear.

Ipod nano gets stuck in recovery mode in windows xp
My Ipod Nano 7th Generation gets stuck in Recovery Mode in Windows XP. It runs for 3-4 weeks without a problem and then I get prompted that it is in Recovery Mode. It stays in a loop doing this. I've triend uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes but this hasn't fixed the problem. Suggestions??

To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store -
Does anyone have an issue where your apps get stuck between transitions?
Sometimes when I go and close my apps from the multitasking screen, the ones on my home screen get stuck between transitions. The way to get them to line up right is to swipe the home screen a few times. Can anyone help me fix this issue?
It's not an actual issue - your iPad is running slow as it attempts to close out the apps and free up the memory they were using. If you give it a few seconds it'll catch up and be back to normal.
Which brings up the question - why close the apps this way? There is no need to close any apps from that screen unless they are locked up or caught in a loop that's destroying battery. Otherwise, iOS takes care of all memory and space management with no intervention from the user. -
If your Ipod get stuck while syncing
Here's what happened to me, My Ipod would sync and get to a certain song and keep trying and I'ld have to force quit. I would try agiain and it would be a different problem song, but would essentially be starting over each time.
I changed IPOD cables and it worked perfectly. I think I ran over the first cable with my chair. I hope this helps anyone who finds this note in the future.I'd have chimed in on this 6 months ago but have been too busy. I have 2 80-Gb Classics, and multiple PC's & laptops at the house. One of the ipods started with this syncing issue about 7 months ago. Went through all the five R's, and all the other steps that everybody here has mentioned. I'm the systems engineer (PC) who will kill myself to solve a problem myself before calling for help, because that's the best way to learn, so I really jumped through a lot of additional hoops to narrow down exactly wherein lies the problem with this ipod.
I believe that you'll agree that what I'm about to show proves Apple is in complete denial about this issue. After going through all the standard diagnostic steps on my "main" PC (trying to sync about 30GB of music), I've tried syncing the ipod with the issue to an additional Windows XP PC, a Windows XP laptop, and a friend's Mac notebook. The issue happens each and every time, randomly through the sync process, no matter which computer is doing the sync. As I tried it on each computer, I also tried swapping out the ipod cables. No change - sync locks up every time.
So I pull out the other 80GB ipod that has no problem (my wife's), back it up, wipe it clean so that I'll be syncing the same 30GB dataset. No problem syncing on my "main" PC. Repeat the process, changing only the ipod cable. No problem, syncs fine. Repeat the process on the other PC and laptop (with the same 30GB dataset) just to reinforce my findings, works faultlessly every single time, with each ipod cable. I did not try it on the friend's Mac, since everything was fine every time at home.
After all that, tried the "bad" ipod again - sync locks up every single time. With multiple versions of itunes tried, and multiple versions of ipod's software tried.
Now you, the reader, can disagree with me here if you want, but at this point I believe I have proven definitely that there is a hardware problem with this ipod, and I will not consider otherwise, after all the steps I've taken to isolate the issue and rule out other variables.
So I sent it in to Apple for warranty work. They sent it back saying they ran their diagnostics and nothing is wrong with it.
Hey Apple - I ran your diagnostics (from itunes) too - they also said nothing was wrong with it. You know what's wrong with your diagnostics? You need to have a mode that allows the diagnostic to keep hammering the sync operation for a good long time - long enough to reproduce the error. All your diagnostics are proving is that initial communication is OK. No one is denying that initial communications are ok, otherwise the freaking sync wouldn't start! And considering the extremely detailed email I sent that initiated the whole tech support request, I'm inclined to think that your ipod tech's (or at least the one that evaluated mine) don't bother reading the complaint, or immediately assume that every customer is an idiot and therefore anything they say should be immediately discounted as such. Or maybe they're just mindless automatons reading from a list of problems/solutions and if it's not there, it's not real. Whatever. All I know is, I wasted my money on an extended warranty if this is the kind of support they provide.
I'm wondering if I shouldn't take the good ipod and lock it in a hermetically sealed shrine, never using it again, just to reassure myself periodically that some of my money wasn't wasted.. -
Did my nano get shorted?
Hey everyone,

When restarting my macbook pro, all the options on the top right corner of the screen disappear ( battery life, Wifi, languages etc..) when i try to show them in system preferences once i click on network preferences the whole system preferences goes Not responding and i have to force quit it. the only way i found to bring them back is restarting my computer a number of times till they just come back alone. not sure what the problem is??? now i never shut down my computer cause i am worried i'll lose them again and for months i just put to sleep when i am done since nothing happens to them when its on sleep once i shut it down and turn it on again the same thing happens.
appreciate any answers...You sure you're in the /Users/username/Library/Preferences/ folder? If yes, then that's your issue. That plist controls the right-hand menu bar.
log into a newly created admin user account and see if the problem persists. Then, check its Preference folder for that plist file. -

When it freezes, the mouse pointer displays like if it was thinking and I can't simply do anything inside Firefox and the open page, however, the rest of the computer seems completely operational as I can open anything else from the Start Menu or opening any files... Then, 40+ seconds later, it becomes normal again... I don't think it happens on a regular time basis, but it happens many times in the day, some more continuous and it is becoming a real pain! I even re-started the computer a couple of times and nothing!... Honestly, I have been loyal to Firefox and still prefer it, but need a quick solution!... Please HELP!

Well i was just wondering.. since i do have a older version of the Macbook Pro.. and the fact that the power cord has been damaged
You can always get a price on what an Apple affiliate would give you for your old MacBook Pro by going to http://www.apple.com/recycling/gift-card/faq.html and reading the instruction for the reuse program. Or you can sell your old one on eBay (that's what I did - you'll get more for it). Apple doesn't do a simple trade-in.
Your cheapest route is just to buy a new adapter. If you don't know which adapter to get, call Apple and they can tell you, or visit your local Apple Store. They're about $80.
Good luck,

Photoshop CC gets stuck on scanning for plugins
Windows 8.1 i7 256Gb SSHD
Photoshop Creative Cloud newly updated
On clicking photoshop icon task manager show photoshop stuck in Background Process
doesn't move up to Apps
if photoshop later starts after many minutes then
it gets stuck for minutes on scanning for plugins
when scanning for plugins task manager shows that it is essentially idle
whereas LR opens immediately and shows CPU use up over 20%
PS CC still at zero
about 10 or 15 minutes later then PS finally wakes up
What is the problem with photoshop getting stuck on not starting only starting as a background process and then not scaning for plug ins until 5 or 10 minutes later?A frequent reason for stalling Photoshop on start up, are bad font files, so I would think the same would be true with a corrupted filter or plugin.
CC handles third party plugins differently to older versions, and you can't point to a folder like you could with CS6 etc. This link might help
