Difference between COEP & COEPR tables in realtion to KB33N tCode

Hello Gurus,
We are trying to extract the data same as when executed by Tcode:KB33N.I searched in Forum and found that KB33N updates COEPR table.
My question :
Does KB33N updates any other tables especially if it updates tables: COEP,COVP ?
What is difference between COEP & COEPR tables in realtion to KB33N tCode.
With regards,
stalin.

Hi,
Table: COEP used to CO Object: Line Items (by Period): All the Cost Center Real Postings would be appear in this table.
Table: COEPR used to CO Object: Line Items for Stat. Key Figs (by Period): This table is the figures of
T.Code: KB33N Used to see the values of posted document connected with SKF, with Screen Variants and Input Types. Ex. Doc No.: XXXXXXXXX can be seen at COEPR Table and not found in COEP Table. The COEP Table contains the data of All Cost Center Postings and the other will have Allocation Cost Object documents values.

I think MBEWH table is refering to total valuated stock
MCHBH table is refering to valuated stock with unrestricted

  • Find the difference between two internal table

how can i see the difference between two interal tables?
    The requirement is as follows
    1. We have a transparent table, which stores the employee data with EMP ID as key.
    2. We load the transp table data into a interal table (B).
    3. We get data from legecy system as file and it gets loaded into another internal table (A) (this also has the same EMP ID key and this will have latest addition/update to those emplyees).
Now we need to seperate out these data into three interal table Inserted (I), Deleted (D) and Updated (U).
We want to do followign things
    I = A - B
    D = B - A
Both A and B will have around 40k records. Hence we are trying to avoid the looping.
Please suggest the best option for us.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Raghavendra,
Currently as of my knowledge, these operations are only possible through LOOPs. But LOOPign can be really fast here if you properly utilize the SORTING, READ with BINARY SEARCH and FIELD-SYMBOLS usage. I would say:-
    Steps for Insert:-
    SORT: A, B.
    LOOP AT A ASSIGNING <WA_A>.
READ TABLE B WITH TABLE KEY key = <WA_A>-key BINARY SEARCH.
      IF SY-SUBRC NE 0.
        APPEND <WA_A> TO I.
      ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
    Steps for Delete:-
    SORT: A, B.
    LOOP AT B ASSIGNING <WA_B>.
READ TABLE A WITH TABLE KEY key = <WA_B>-key BINARY SEARCH.
      IF SY-SUBRC NE 0.
        APPEND <WA_B> TO D.
      ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.

  • Difference between ALV and Table control

    Hi folks,
i want to know the major differences between AlV and table controls.
i know that table control is designed in screen painter, but i want to know the major diff between Table control and ALV.
    helpful answers will be rewarded.
    Regards,
    Naveen

    Hi Naveen,
Basically ALV is a way to display the output and Table Control is designed in screen painter through which you can get entries in Table Control, can delete some records etc for further processing and  its not use only for Display.
    <b>ALV is Application List viewer:-</b>
Sap provides a set of ALV (ABAP LIST VIEWER) function modules which can be put into use to embellish the output of a report. This set of ALV functions is used to enhance the readability and functionality of any report output. Cases arise in sap when the output of a report contains columns extending more than 255 characters in length.
In such cases, this set of ALV functions can help choose selected columns and arrange the different columns from a report output and also save different variants for report display. This is a very efficient tool for dynamically sorting and arranging the columns from a report output.
    <b>TABLE CONTROL:-</b>
ABAP offers two mechanisms for displaying and using table data in a screen. These mechanisms are table controls and step loops. Table controls and step loops are types of screen tables you can add to a screen in the Screen Painter.
    Rewards if useful.

what is the difference between RT(Result table)& CRT(Cumilative result table)

    Hi,
RT Contains all the results of the payroll of the current
period, i.e, ur current months Basic, HRA, CLA etc. Where as in CRT contains
all the cummulated amount of the Basic, HRA, CLA, i.e, lets us assume that
ur basic per month is 5000/- then in RT table u will have Basic amount for
the month of September will be 5000/- and in CRT for the month of September
u will have Basic amount as 30,000/- ie, 5000 * 7. And also CRT has Yearly

  • Difference between global temporary table and with clause

what is the difference between global temporary table and with claue .(with clause is used as table in select query)

what is the difference between global temporary table and with claue .(with clause is used as table in select query)Its big difference between the two.
Global temporary table exists for a session or a transaction while, with clause lives only for a query.
GTT is a named permanent storage table whose data flushes away on session exit or at end of a transaction while WITH clause just provides names to a reference data within a query (which is as good as having union subquery in FROM clause)
    eg
    SQL> with c as
      2  (
      3  select 1 id1, 2 id2 from dual union all
4  select 2,4 from dual union all
      5  select 3,5 from dual)
      6  select * from c
      7  /
           ID1        ID2
             1          2
             2          4
             3          5
    SQL> ed
    Wrote file afiedt.buf
      1  select *
      2  from
      3  (
      4  select 1 id1, 2 id2 from dual union all
5  select 2,4 from dual union all
      6* select 3,5 from dual)
      7  /
           ID1        ID2
             1          2
             2          4
3          5But GTT serves its purpose very well in case of session specific transaction and the scnearion with multiple users working on same data.

  • Difference between client dependent table and client independent table

    hi all,
i m new in sap pls tell me the difference between client dependent table and client independent table.
    tell me in detail.
    thanks and regards
      vikas saini

    HI
Client dependent Means if you create that data in one client is limited to that client only and it is not accessable in other clients
Like SAP SCRIPTS and STD texts data
where as Client Independent means the data if you create in one client that is available in that as well as in other clients
Like SMARTFORMS, All dictionary Objects data and Repository objects data like Programs, Fun modules, tables etc..
There is no specific reason behind why scripts are client dep[endent and smartforms are client independent!!!
As for SAP -- Scripts are called client dependent because if you create client in say,200 it would be available in that only.If you want to test the script in client 300 then it won't be there, you will have to go to transaction se71 in 300 .Then Utilities-> Copy from client.Give the source as 200 & form name(i.e. script name) & copy.
Few more reasons why....? Please read below:
    SAPscript technology is based on a mainframe product from the 1980s.SAPscript forms have always been -- under the hood -- relatively passive objects, with minimal embedded logic. These forms were designed to be driven and controlled by ABAP programs, much in the way ABAP programs read in database tables to produce reports;
if you ever download a SAPscript form (e.g., via utility program RSTXSCRP), and look at the portable text file it produces you'll see what I mean.
Many text objects (e.g., invoice header texts) are bound directly to documents which are client-dependent, so it makes sense for these text objects to also be client-dependent. From a complexity standpoint, SAPscript forms are close enough to these text objects where I can see how it made sense at the time to make them client-dependent too.

  • Difference between a value table and a check table?

What is the difference between a value table and a check table?

    Value Table
This is maintained at Domain Level.
When ever you create a domain , you can entered allowed values.   For example  you go to Domain   SHKZG - Debit/credit indicator.  Here only allowed values is H or S.
When ever you use this Domain, the system will forces you to enter only these values.
This is a sort of master check . To be maintained as a customization object. This mean that if you want to enter values to this table you have to create a development request & transport the same.
    Check table
For example you have Employee master table & Employee Transaction table.
When ever an employee Transacts we need to check whether that employee exists , so we can refer to the employee master table.
This is nothing but a Parent & Child relationship .  Here data can be maintained at client level , no development involved.
As per DBMS what we call foregin key table, is called as check table in SAP.

  • Confused: the difference between ExtractStruct., and table in datasource?

Run RSA6 on R3, locate any datasource and display it, then we can see a ExtractStruct. field at the top, and many table fields at bottom.   What's the difference between the ExtractStruct. and the below table in the datasource?   All the entries are the same between these two?  Or usually the below table in the datasource contains all the standard fields and it we want to populate the standard fields, we will have to add them to the ExtractStruct. during the extraction?
Also double click ExtractStruct. to open it, we can see an Append Structure button at the top bar. We know that if want to add custom fields, then we need to add them to the Append Structure, but if we want to just update standard fields, we just need to add them to the ExtractStruct.?
    Thanks!

    Hi Kevin,
The Fields you see in RSA6 are the fields of the extract structure only. It is a list of all the fields in ES. Some of the fields might be hidden and some of the fields might be used for selection. If you double click on the ES and go in, you will see the same set of fields. If you edit the DS, you can change the selections boxes there according to your requirement.
Append structure is for appending the necessary fields to the ES as you rightly mentioned. You can not change the standard delivered fields. You can do it using the access key but definitely not advisible. Hope this helps.

  • Difference between template and table in smartforms

what is the difference between a <b>template</b> and <b>table</b> in smartforms

    Hi Krish,
Template is used for proper allignment of data which table is used for displaying multiple data.
We can say Template is for static data and Table is for dynamic data.
Suppose we have a requirement in which we have to allign the customer address in such a way as shown below:-
Name- Krishna    Company- WIPRO    Location- Chennai
    Desig- S/W         Native    -  Mumbai
Then for proper allighnment we can create a template and split that into 3 columns and 2 rows and create text elements for each cell display a proper allighned data at the output.
When we include a template inside a loop it gives the same property as a table.
When we have mutiple data which is to be extended to the next page like when we display all employee details in a company we use table.
Table has 3 sections , HEADER, ITEM ,FOOTER
The header secntion will be executed once and it will loop at the item level. at the end footer will be executed.
    Hope U got some idea

  • Difference between read from table or load into table in Mappings

    Hi everybody.
i wanted to deploy a mapping. Following error was shown:
ora-04021 timeout occurred while waiting to lock object Mapp_xyz
I tried to deploy another Mapping which was successfull. I found out that a specific table was locked and both mappings this table is used. In the Mapping which was deployed successfully i load into this table. In the other Mapping i read from this table. So my question is, is there any difference between reading from a table in a mapping and loading into a table?
Because after the Lock was broken up the mapping was deployed successfull.
    Any Information would be appreciated.
    Greetings

    Hi,
thanks for the reply. A Processflow was aborted while he was executing the mapping. So on our DB we had a active session which was causing the lock.
    Thanks.

  • Difference between an XMLType table and a table with an XMLType column?

    Hi all,
Still trying to get my mind around all this XML stuff.
Can someone concisely explain the difference between:
    create table this_is_xmltype_tab of xmltype;and
create table this_is_tab_w_xmltpe_col(id number, document xmltype); What are the relative advantages and disadvantages of each approach? How do they really differ?
    Thanks,
    -Mark

There is another pointer Mark, that I realized when I was thinking about the differences...
If you would look up in the manual regarding "xdb:annotations" you would learn about a method using an XML Schema to generate out of the box your whole design in terms of physical layout and/or design principles. In my mind this should be the preferred solution if you are dealing with very complex XML Schema environments. Taking your XML Schema as your single point design layout, that during the actual implementation automatically generates and builds all your needed database objects and its physical requirements, has great advantages in points of design version management etc., but...
...it will create automatically an XMLType table (based on OR, Binary XML of "hybrid" storage principles, aka the ones that are XML Schema driven) and not AFAIK a XMLtype column structure: so as in "our" case a table with a id column and a xmltype column.
In principle you could relationally relate to this as:
+"I have created an EER diagram and a Physical diagram, I mix the content/info of those two into one diagram." "Then I _+execute+_ it in the database and the end result will be an database user/schema that has all the xxxx amount of physical objects I need, the way I want it to be...".+
...but it will be in the form of an XMLType table structure...
xdb:annotations can be used to create things like:
    - enforce database/company naming conventions
    - DOM validation enabled or not
    - automatic IOT or BTree index creation (for instance in OR XMLType storage)
    - sort search order enforced or not
    - default tablenames and owners
    - extra column or table property settings like for partitioning XML data
    - database encoding/mapping used for SQL and binary storage
    - avoid automatic creation of Oracle objects (tables/types/etc), for instance, via xdb:defaultTable="" annotations
    - etc...

  • What is the difference between updating a table specifying a specific partition compare to not specifying

    Hello,
What is the difference when updating a table specifying a specific partition compare to not specifying a specific partition?
Does specifing a specific partition while doing an update only update values within that specific partition?
    For example:
    update tab_abc partition (nov_2013)
    set col_abc = 'ABC';
    vs.
    update tab_abc
    set col_abc='ABC';
    Thank you.

Yes, but better to do this:
    update tab_abc
    set    col_abc = 'ABC'
    where  date_key >= to_date('01-NOV-2013','DD-MON-YYYY')
    and    date_key <  to_date('01-DEC-2013','DD-MON-YYYY')
(where date_key is the column your table is partitioned on)
Now your code is totally unaware that the table is partitioned but it can still use partition pruning.
And your code won't break if the partitioning strategy changes (which it certainly can).

  • What is the difference between sheets and tables?

Seriously. I've used Numbers for many projects, but the difference just isn't apparant to me?

    Hi Michael,
Sounds like it's time to crack open the manual and spend a little quality time with Chapter 1.
Apple provides a couple of excellent tools for understanding and using Numbers, the Numbers '09 User Guide and the iWork Formulas and Functions User Guide. Both are fully searchable PDF documents, and both are available for download via the Help menu in Numbers.
I'd recommend reading at least the first three chapters of the Numbers Guide (about 60 pages in all), then dipping into the rest as you need it.
The F&F guide is a useful reference whn you're writing formulas, or when you're trying to figure out what's going on in the formulas in a template produced by someone else.
    Regards,
    Barry
PS: The information regarding Sheets, Tables, etc. may be found in the article The Numbers Window, starting on the second page of Chapter 1, Numbers Tools and Techniques.
