Difference between generating VO while creating EO and otherwise

Hello All,
I wanted to know - Is there any difference between
creating a VO while creating an EO (i.e.by checking 'Generate Default View Object')
and
when If I create an EO first , then seperately create a VO for the same table used in EO; and then attach that EO to the VO . By attaching EO to VO, I mean, after creation of VO ; if we right click that VO to edit - the 'View Object Editor ' window opens. here, I select an EO through the 'Select Entity Objects for this View Object' window.
My requirement was to create a page where I wanted to do search and create. In the create page, the employee id and date has to come automatically. When submit button is clicked, the record is to be saved .
1st I tried through the second method. I got the search results and in the create page, the id&date came as expected but create wasnt successfull. No error or exception came but in the record that got inserted into database had only the id,date and who column values. The other columns had null value.
Later, when I tried using the 2nd method i.e by using the 'Default VO generated', creation was successfull.
Could anybody tell me why it wasnt working the second way?

user605260 ,
There is no difference between creating a VO while creating an EO (i.e.by checking 'Generate Default View Object') and create an EO first , and then seperately creating VO . The latter is used if u haven't planned to make which VO or haven't finalised VO query.
In ur case it looks the first time some mapping in VO might have not created correctly in any one case!

What is the difference between generate partner profile and creat partner profile ?

Create Partner ProfilesAlthough partner profiles are usually created automatically, because of the unusual inbound and outbound profiles needed on the same system, the manual generation of certain profiles is required.
The following subsections describe the partner profile settings for the standard client (assumed here to be ALExxxCyyy), as well as for the corresponding dummy client (assumed to be DUMxxxCyyy). The dummy client partner profiles should have been generated by the automatic generation process completed previously. Nevertheless, these should be checked to ensure that all profiles exist.
    Generation of Partner Profiles
The following messages should be added to the 4xx-ORDR model for ALExxxCyyy to DUMxxxCyyy on the reference client:
    • ORDERS
    • ORDCHG
    • ZINVRV
    • ORDRSP
    • INVOIC
    • FIDCMT
    • The partner profiles should first be generated using the standard auto-generation procedure on the reference client (for SYNCH messages to be created).
    • This model should now be distributed to the both ALExxxCyyy and DUMxxxCyyy.
    • The partner profiles should now be generated on the client being configured (i.e. yyy) using the auto-generation procedure defined in the standard ALE configuration procedures.
Generate partner profiles for sending system. (Can only do this if at least 1 message type exists against the sending system's LS). This automatically generates the port if the LS and RFC name are the same.
    generate partner profiles tcode BD82
    creating partner profiles tcode WE20
 There are two methods for maintaining the partner profile:
     Maintain partner profile manually:
To navigate to the partner profile in the sender system, choose Partner profile -> Partner type of Logical System and click on the required Target system. Under Outbound parameters, choose the Create outbound parameters icon, and enter the values for the outbound parameters according to the slide Sender: Partner Profile (outbound).
To navigate to the partner profile in the sender system, choose Partner profile -> Partner type of Logical System and click on the required Sending system. Under Inbound parameters, choose the Create inbound parameters icon and enter the values for the inbound parameters according to the slide Sender: Partner Profile (inbound).
     Generate partner profile:
Prerequisite: The current distribution model is distributed to all participating systems.
In the sender system, choose: Generate Partner Profile, then check the result in the partner profile (outbound)
In the sender system, choose: Generate Partner Profile, then check the result in the partner profile (inbound)

  • What is the difference between a Prod Ord (Created) and Prod Ord (Released)

    Hi
Please can someone advise the significant differences between a Prod Ord (Created) and
    Prod Ord (Released)
And what are the effects/relations of each of them to Dependant demand in APO SNP for a products BOM components.
I currently have a product where the Ord Res for the BOM component only appears against Dependant demand key figure in APO SNP when the Prod Ord is Released
    Thanx
    Keegan

In addition to what Senthil has mentioned
The ATP Category on the order element at
Header product                                            Component product Requirement Element
Production Order (Created)                           Dependent Demand (AY)
Production Order (Released)                         Order Reservation  (AU or AV)
Check the category group assignment for Dependent Demand keyfigure in your SNP Planning Area.
The Dependent Demand keyfigure 9ADMDSE for 9AMALO aggregate will have Category Group assignment DS1 as standard. DS1 has AU, AV, AY and EL Categories details of which are below
ATP Cat                                     Catergory Description               Category Type
AU     OrdRes     Order reservation not withdrawable     Requirements
AV     OrdRes (W)     Order reservation withdrawable     Requirements
AW     OrdRes     Order reservation not withdrawable     Receipts
AX     OrdRes (W)     Order reservation withdrawable     Receipts
    AY     DepDmd     Dependent demand                                     Requirements
    AZ     DepDmd     Dependent demand                                     Receipts
So if you have some other Category Group assignment which does not have AY in it. So unless the Production Order is Released you do not see the component requirement in Dependent Demand keyfigure in Interactive SNP.
    Hope this helps.

  • Difference between syncing iCal with .me Calendar and publishing my iCal

    Hi everyone,
This is probably kind of simple for most, but I'm actually just learning about iCal and how I can centralize my calendars in iCal on Calendar at .mac (or .me I guess). The Help section doesn't really address the confusion I have. So thanks for any insight you can share.
    1. What is the difference between syncing my iCal with Calendar and publishing my iCal to .me?
    2. I just added a new event to iCal. Then I clicked on a sync button (via the sidebar of my local iDisk). But when I checked Calendar, that new event wasn't there. Does anyone know why and then what to do to make it appear?
    3. When/If I add a new event while I'm at Calendar, how do I make sure it appears on my iCal? Do I follow the same local iDisk sync routine?
    4. Can my 2 friends and I log on to my account at the same time to view my Calendar while we're all on our laptops.
    Thanks a lot you guys.

Ok, I wonder if you could help me with a similar but different problem. I have been using iCal now for awhile but only recently started using Google Calendars (once I found out they could both be synced together). Anyway, I understand how to set up the sync, it's very simple especially following the link that you already provided. But, I have three calendars for personal, school, and work already in iCal that are in the default group that iCal starts with of "calendars".
Anyway, when you create a new account in iCal to set up the syncing, it creates a whole new calendar group. I had never had an "account" before, so all my three main calendars are separate from this new account. Is there anyway to move or duplicate those calendars into my new calendar group so that I can have one flowing set of synced information between google and iCal without manually retyping all of the information myself? I have tried dragging the calendars down into the other group and all you can do is reorder them within the group they're already in. Even a duplication would work, if that is possible (to duplicate a whole calendar).
Any insight from anyone would be incredibly helpful.
    Thanks a ton,
    Zac

  • What the difference between u0093Valuate GL Account Open Itemsu0094 and u0093Valuate G/

    hi gurus
What the difference between “Valuate GL Account Open Items” and “Valuate G/L Account Balances”?
We found out that when we perform valuate GL account Open items there will be reversal done at the same time whereas when we perform Valuate G/L Account Balances there is NO reversal posting even though we hv entered the reversal posting date and Period.
Pls advise which one we should perform?

“Valuate GL Account Open Items” are for open item managed accounts including vendor/customer accounts. The valuation is performed for each (open) line items on key date specified.
"“Valuate GL Balance" is for account NOT managed on Open Item basis but managed in foreign currency. The period balance of key date in foreign currency is valuated. Reversal document can be created by selecting 'Reverse postings' in "Postings" tab.

  • Differences between the "Adobe Acrobat Versions 7 and 9"

    Dear Adobe Support Team,
I need to know the differences between the "Adobe Acrobat Versions 7 and 9". I have worked with Acrobat 7 and have used the same script after installing Acrobat 9 for Automation Testing with QTP for validating pdf. The object "AcroExch.AVDoc" is not getting identified as object while working in QTP in the system/machine which has Acrobat 9 installed, whereas it works well in the machine which has Acrobat 7 installed . So it will be better if two things are known as per my understanding, ie.,
it must have compatibility issue (i need the difference between "Adobe Acrobat versions 7 & 9" to assure this) or
installation issue( which can be confirmed if the former question is answered).
So i kindly request you to help me out for this scenario.
    Kind Regards,
    Vikraman.G

Countless new features were introduced between Acrobat 7 and 9, are you really expecting us to type out a full list from memory?
If you are having specific issues with the Acrobat SDK, first refer to the Acrobat SDK for the higher version. If there remains an issue I suggest posting about the specific problem in the Acrobat SDK forum, rather than asking for an encylopedia of all possible information...
Note that Adobe do not support multiple installations of Acrobat on the same machine, so you can expect development issues if you do this.

  • Difference between a delivery coded as LIFO and a regular Delivery

    Hi All,
Can you please enlighten me the difference between a delivery coded as LIFO and a regular delivery.
It may stand for Last in First out but not sure what that actually means when a delivery is being created.
And where can I see this Delivery Code (Techincal field name ).
    Thanks,
    Sanjeet

    Hello
LIFO stands for last in first out  and regular delivery is delivery creation without any such constraints
this would be a requirement that sratergy that stocks are picked on LIFO basis and this would be a functional requriment
there is nothing such as field for LIFO etc.
you would have to customise your avilability check in order to ensure that LFIO is followed when system allocated the stocks during avilability check
    Hope this helps
    Thanks

  • Are the main differences between the 768 GB Flash storage and the 3 TB Fusion Drive?

Are the main differences between the 768 GB Flash storage and the 3 TB Fusion Drive?

    About Fusion Drive
Fusion Drive combines 128GB of super fast flash storage with a traditional hard drive. It automatically and dynamically moves frequently used files to flash for quicker access. With Fusion Drive in your iMac, booting is up to 1.7 times faster, and copying files and importing photos are up to 3.5 times faster.* Over time, as the system learns how you work, Fusion Drive makes your Mac experience even better. All while letting you store your digital life on a traditional, roomy hard drive.
    About Flash Storage
For maximum performance, you can configure your iMac with 768GB of flash storage instead of a traditional hard drive. Flash storage delivers up to four times the performance of a traditional drive — speed you’ll notice when you start up your iMac, launch an app, or browse your photo library.
In addition the prue flash option is $900 more the then 3TB fusion drive.

  • What Is The Difference Between Save As Self-Contained Movie and Exporting

What Is The Difference Between Save As Self-Contained Movie and Exporting a Video as a Quicktime File

Save As places the file inside a .mov container. No re-encoding.
Your still have the option to save this file as "self-contained" (all the parts travel with the file) or "reference" (small file sized movie that merely "points" to the movie parts).
A reference movie can't play if the source files can't be found. If they are moved or deleted the reference movie will fail and it can't be re-created.
Exporting is done to convert one QuickTime format to another. Typically you do this with a high quality source file. Exporting previously compressed files is a bad idea that leads to unpredictable results.
QuickTime doesn't open WMP formats without third party software help (Flip4Mac is one). You can't convert (export) WMP formats without paying extra fees to upgrade their software.

  • What is the difference between Service Edge Optimized line cards and Packet Transport line cards in the ASR 9000

    Hi Folks,
What is the deep dive difference between the service edge optimized cards and the packet transport line cards in the ASR 9000?
I know that QoS is the difference in general, for example, the service edge optimized has advanced QoS features while the Packet Transport line cards has basic QoS features but I want to know some more details please.
    Thanks

There are four main deiffences (unfortunately don't have a reference link).
    L3 Interfaces:
    TR: 8k/LC, SE: 20k/LC
    L2 Interfaces:
    TR: 16k/LC, SE: 64k/LC
    QoS:
TR: only 8 Queues per port, 8k policers per Network Processor
SE: 256k Queues per port, 256k policers per NP
    ACL:
    TR: 24k ACE
    SE: 96k ACE
Number of FIB/mFIB/MAC etries, L3 VRFs, PWs available per TR/SE linecard are the same.

  • Difference between copying cube content using datamarts and direct copying

    Hi Experts,
I have been going through the SDN for the last 6 months  and this is my first post
I know two methods of copying the cube content from one cube to another.
One is data mart method in which we create a datasource based on the cube and
then create a transformation between the new cube and datasource.
This method is used if our source cube is in same server or in diff server.
Other method is directly copying the cube content from source to destination
by creating a transformation between two cubes .
this is used if source cube anddestc u be are in same server.
My  doubt is if both the cubes are in same server then what is diff between first method
    and second method,
    Please clarify me

    Hi,
Now Iam closing this thread with a conclusion .
The question is what is the difference between copying cube
content using datamarts and direct copying
Also what are there any other methods to copy cube contents
    from one cube to another.
The  diff bet using data marts and direct copying is
In case of datamarts, ven if the source cube is changed in futute there is no effect on the target cube.
In case of copying directly, whenever the source cube is changed, the transformation becomes inactive.
so we have to activate the transformation again.
ALso there are some other methods to copy cube contents fron one to other .
But datamarts is sap standard one.
Thankyo every one for giving answers
    Regards,
    Sundar

Two days ago most of my music dissapeared from my Ipod, however all of it is still in my iTunes Library. After synchronizing the Ipod there is a huge difference between both music in my library and the one in the Ipod.

    Hi Rodobaldo,
Let's try to clear up this issue for you, I'd like to clear out the music on your iPod first. You'll want to find the Sync Music Checkbox, uncheck it, then Apply or Sync:
Once you have done that, recheck the "Sync Music" checkbox, and apply the changes once more. This will instruct iTunes to completely remove all music from your iPod nano, and then copy the files once more. If you have a large amount of music, this initial sync may take a while.
If the above does not resolve your issue, see the following article:
iTunes: Syncing media content to iPod
