Difference between SAP/APO/DP and the SAP/CRM solution for forecasting

Hi,
Can you please help me identifying the main differences between SAP/APO/DP and the SAP/CRM solution for forecasting? Advantages and disadvantages?
Thanks a lot

Hi LCD777,
Forecasting at DP & CRM are altogether at different entities.  CRM involves webbased data transfer mechanism tool whereas DP is database/livecache driven tool.
In CRM, you dont get optimised solution of forecasting out of it whereas in DP you can get as much as
optimised solution & flexibility as per your requirements.
DP is majorly a forecasting tool where in huge statistical method functionalities are embedded in
whereas CRM is majorly a transactional tool wherein it involves gathering of forecast data and executing it.
Typically, CRM will be integrated with DP containing GATP environment & ECC so that DP will plan for forecast data, ECC system drives sales order data & GATP calls for availability check and finally
the forecast execution& transactions will be controlled by CRM

  • I did re-set my password and when I click on Install for Mavericks, I still get a box for "administrator password" and it still won't accept my new password. Is there a difference between my Apple ID and the administrator password they're asking for?

I downloaded Mavericks and it won't install. I did re-set my password and when I click on Install for Mavericks, I still get a box for "administrator password" and it still won't accept my new password. Is there a difference between my Apple ID and the administrator password they're asking for? I never had an administrator password-- I just hit enter and have never had a problem before with previous installations. I'm on an iMac, from 2007, running Mt. Lion (version 10.8.5). I've been looking for other's posts who may be having the same problem, but haven't found any. Can anyone help?

Ugh. The 'no password, no work' thing is a recent Apple development. I ran into it on my system and ended up having to do a clean install on a partition I fully erased.
I suppose, if you have the ability to, go online and look up how to burn a bootable DVD image. Download the 10.8.4 image then use the Disk Utility to make a boot image of it. You'll need a dual-layer DVD or a USB drive (or memory stick at least 8GB) If you've got an optical drive, burn the disk, if you've a USB device, use that.
Then get a pocket drive and copy your important files off the system or let Time Machine do a full backup.
When the backup is done, insert the disk and hold down the C key until the machine boots off of the DVD. At the point you get to the start window, go to the menu and choose the Disk Utility.
In the Disk Utility, reformat the drive. You go to the actual DRIVE (not the Macintosh HD, but the root above it that is the actual hard drive device)
I always do this and *partition* it into several volumes, the benefit being, you can store all of your music, documents and importans stuff on that secondary storage volume you make - it will have it's own index and then the first volume is where you put the OS and it will have it's own index as well. That way, if the OS throws a wobbler and you need to reinstall, you don't lose your data.
Depending on the size of your hard drive, it is good to give your OS partition at least 60GB and optimally 100GB, and the rest for storage.
Name your volumes, use the little box sliders to manually size them or put that number in the size window, select for the format, Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and hit Apply and then the Disk Utility will quickly create your new partitions.
Once finished, quit the Utility and it will return you to the OS installer. Select the volume you want to install to and it should start up and install.
Once the installation is done, you'll get the new machine startup then you MUST put in a password for the computer. Once you're in, and to the desktop, don't bother with any Mountain Lion updates, go right to the App Store and get the Mavericks update and let it install the app to your Applicaitons folder, then do that install.
On a side note, there MAY be a way to make a disk image from the Mavericks application and avoid the entire Mountain Lion step.. I honestly do not know, but a bit of hitting the search engines may find out if there is. I think that if you looked for "make Mavericks boot disk or boot image' you may find something.
    Good luck!

  • I want to create an app.  Can you tell me the difference between iOS developer program and the mac developer program?

I want to create an app.  Can you tell me the difference between iOS developer program and the mac developer program?
Is the difference the device you're creating your app on, or for?

iOS Developer Program is only for those who wish to develop iDevice apps. Mac program is for those only developing Mac applications. If you wish to do both, then you need to enroll in both programs.

what is the difference between Macs Voice Over and the text to talk feature

Voice Over doesn't need someone to type in the text first. Voice Over works with specific screen displayed information so that a blind person can know where his/her cursor is or what is being displayed. Although it is an application of text to talk it's more than the text to talk feature.

    Hi,
GP(guided procedure) workflow will constructed via Enterprise Portal. This portal guys will do.
In R/3  we have SAP Business workflow, which found or customize or create in SWDD.

  • What is the difference between 3.6.25 and the latest ones like 9.0.1

I'm not sure I understand the difference between the 3.6 versions and the much newer 9.0.1 version. I have much more trouble with this newer version--in fact had to uninstall it because it kept crashing. I understand that there are more bells and whistles, but what's the advantage of the newer ones over this old reliable version?

OK, that gives me all the propaganda, but why does it crash all the time? I went back to 8.0.1 and have no problems at all. That is a rhetorical question because I don't think they know yet. I love the internet, but these upgrades seem to come out before they really have all the bugs cleaned out.
    Thanks for the reply.
BTW: I realized very quickly that you can't go back as far as 3.6 versions!

  • Difference between standard report S_ALR_87011963 and the custom report

    Hi Friends,
My client requires a report which displays the acquisition and depreciation values of assets. Actually the requirement is to display all the values except planned depreciation.
Therefore we are taking the values only from the table ANLP. However the values in this report is not matching with that of the standard. In the standard report the Current Book Value should be selected to avoid planned depreciation. Am i right??
So once the CBV is checked the standard report will display only the posted values for a period.
But we are getting a huge difference in the depreciation value between the two reports.
Please help me out on this.
    Regards,
    Prasad

I think your client requires to see Gross asset value and Deon posted in the report for all the years (not for current year only).  If that is the case, current book value = APC - Depn posted earlier, so it gives wrong result.
    Ex  : Asset acquired in 2006 ; APC = 1000$ ; Depn posted in 2006 : 100$, so current book value is 900$.
So, I would suggest to have a look at the logical data base ADA or use ANLC, ANLV, ANLQ, etc or ANL* and search for the relavant tables required for your purpose.

  • Difference between $29 upgrade disk and the $9.95 Up to Date Disk

Could someone tell me if there is a difference between the two? I qualified for both as I just purchased a new MacBook Pro 2 weeks ago and I have a MacBook purchased last year as well. Justwondering if there is any difference.
    Thanks,
    Jenny

The up to date disk is only licensed for that qualifying computer. The $29 disc is licensed for 1 Leopard computer. If you only have 2 computers that are Snow Leopard compatible, I would get one of each. If you have more than 2, get the Family Pack. If you have any Tiger computers, get the Tiger Family Pack (whose SL disc will also install on Leopard).

  • Is there a performance difference between Automation Plug-ins and the scripting system?

We currently have a tool that, through the scripting system, merges and hides layers by layer groups, exports them, and then moves to the next layer group.  There is some custom logic and channel merging that occasionally occurs in the merging of an individual layer group.  These operations are occuring through the scripting system (actually, through C# making direct function calls through Photoshop), and there are some images where these operations take ~30-40 minutes to complete on very large images.
Is there a performance difference between doing the actions in this way as opposed to having these actions occur in an automation plug-in?
    Thanks,

Thanks for the reply.    I ended up just benchmarking the current implementation that we are using (which goes through DOM from all indications, I wasn't the original author of the code) and found that accessing each layer was taking upwards of 300 ms.  I benchmarked iterating through the layers with PIUGetInfoByIndexIndex (in the Getter automation plug-in) and found that the first layer took ~300 ms, but the rest took ~1 ms.  With that information, I decided that it was worthwhile rewriting the functionality in an Automation plug-in.

  • Is there a difference between apple app store and the mac app store

i keep hearing about the mac app store, is there a difference between that and the regualr app store i use for iphone

Depends upon to whom you are speaking. There is the iTunes Store, sometimes called the App Store, from which Apple vends apps for iPhones, iPads, and iPods. Then there is the Mac App Store, MAS, also sometimes referred to as the App Store rather than the Mac App Store where Apple vends software for Mac computers.

  • Is there a difference between LR4 full version and the upgrade.

I purchased the upgrade for LR4. I now have LR3. I want to download and install now and them put in the serial number to license it when it arrives. Is there a difference between installing the full version and the upgrade version. I don't want to screw up my catalog or anything else for that matter.

There is no difference and you're actually better off downloading and installing rather than installing a shipped version. The download will likely be newer.

  • Differences between R7950-2PMD3GD5/OC and the Twin Frozr III Model

I notice that the R7950-2PMD3GD5/OC has reference design cooling compared to the double fan Frozr III 7950
It is also clocked 50mhz slower!
My 7950 (Frozr III) also has 7970 PCB with 6+8 power connectors...
What other differences am I missing here? Which card is better... in your opinion
Frankly given these huge differences I am convinced that the single fan/slower clock/ 7950 pcb are all reasons to say that the Frozr III is better

with those 2 cards here are the differences:
R7950-2PMD3GD5/OC has a single central fan on it and will run slightly hotter as it has a more limited capacity to move air through the fin array (would also expect it to be more noisy as that fan will spin faster all the time in an attempt to cool the card down). now clock rates with the same GPU on this to the other are subject to how good the GPU sample can handle it and as this one has stock power delivery its is restricted automatically to the standard stock max voltages so unless the GPU is very good it will be limited alot more then the equivalent R7950 Twin Frozr 3GD5/OC in theory.
R7950 Twin Frozr 3GD5/OC has a twin fan cooler that moves more air volume (it will be quieter as the fans can spin slower while suppling the required air to cool the GPU down) and as a result it will run cooler under operation at load especially (less heat and a lower chance of damage long term to the connections under the GPU). the board has heavier power delivery to the stock so it can handle more voltage supply with less droop compared to the other but again its subject to the individual GPU sample on the card and how it responds to an over-clock <--- but in theory if the GPU you have on the card is good it should be capable of much higher stable clocks and voltages to the reference PCB version on the other card just due to the fact it has alot more to deliver to the core (but its up to the GPU to how it reacts to it as its all random lately "silicon lottery time") and even if you run it at the stock levels it will still be alot more stable long term as the power delivery will not be being as taxed all the time as the stock type.
here is my own personal opinion of the 2 in conclusion:
R7950-2PMD3GD5/OC - OK this is cheaper but I would doubt how long it would last long term before it gave up and I would also expect it to get very hot compared to the other and more loud under load.
R7950 Twin Frozr 3GD5/OC - with the twin frozr i would expect it to be cooler as it runs, quieter too and the power to be more stable and as a result it would be a longer life card that will last a longer time after the other would have gave up.

  • What is the difference between signal processing tooklit and the advanced signal processing tooklit

    Hi
I am work on a project with Labview 7.1 now and want to calculate the FFT based on
the Welch method. In my full version Labview, there is a signal processing tooklit
I install it but did not found that welch.vi. Is it means that except for signal processing
tooklit, there is another advanced one and I should pay more money for it, Or,
Should I update my Labview version to 8.0 and the software will support the tooklit?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hi dec04009 ,
When you say "Signal Processing toolkit", do you mean the Signal Processing Palette, that is included in LabVIEW Full?
LabVIEW has signal processing VI's, those are supported in later versions, like 8.0 or 8.2. Since LabVIEW 8.0 there were added many new mathematical functions. Take a look at this:
    http://zone.ni.com/devzone/conceptd.nsf/webmain/bf49f9b8951a89f3862571840057b2c7
The Advanced Signal Processing Toolkit, has advanced features, like wavelets analysis, JTFA
    http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/es/nid/1395
I'm not familiar with the Welch Method, but I found this in the functions of the LabVIEW 8.2:

  • What is the difference between regular Aperture software and the app? If I were to buy an app or a software as a hobbyist, what should I buy??? Little confused between the two...Please advise.

    Dear All,
I am a newbie to MAC world. Being an ex-PC guy, I am used to CDs and traditional software. I want to buy Aperture as my main photo editing software. I have been using DXO and Photoshop in the past. I downloaded Apeture trial version and I am comfortable with it. If I were to buy it, should I buy an app or traditional software CD. I edit approx. 4-5 pictures a day, just for personal use though. Please advise.
    Regards,
    Gurpreet.

That's a function of your Credit Card not of the Software
But you're right, I was vague. Whether you buy from the App Store or the Disk makes no difference to the functionality of the software. It's the same.
    Regards
