Hi piyush,
Thanks for your reply,
Is there any Portal or Functional side settings required for digital signature?. only basis settings are enough?.
Please elaborate.
Thanks,
Sreedhar.

  • Is the digital signature conserved from a signed .docx converted to .pdf ?

    Hi!
    I would like to know, before purchase or even try Acrobat XI Pro, the folowing question:
    If I sign a Microsoft Word (2010) .docx, and then I convert it to Adobe .pdf with Acrobat XI Pro; is my digital signature yet considered always as a signature, or have I to re-sign it in Acrobat ?
    (I think it should have to be conserved, to be really a signature, but am not sure about the technical apsects.)
    Thank you in advance for your answers.

    Ok, Thank you a lot, Test Screen Name !
    Yes, I was actually considering the case of a really digital signature (not only a scribble), of course.
    So I understand that the digital signature is not conserved as such trough this conversion.
    I am french speaking, and I took a moment to understand you second paragraph... which seems to be obvious enought, indeed:
    Yes it would be useful to recognize the signature form a Word converted to a Pdf, but it could mean that, if the signature is identified as such - I was no thinking about to get back the signature separately -, a simple conversion of a .docx in .pdf would be an alteration of data integrity (so, not anymore data intergrity could be garanted).
    It was clear for me that a signature meant more or less explicitely, that the file could not be modified. But I was very innocent to consider a file only for its "visible characters", rather than the file format, which is also a part of data integrity - of course...
    Allright, your answered perfectly to my question, I'll vote for you, as helpful, and correct.
    Tank you one more time !

  • Extract name from pdf digital signature

    I'm looking for info on extracting the digital signature name from a digitally signed field already in the pdf. I can see the signature when I open the file in Adobe Reader, but when I read the fields using cfpdfform, the digital signature field and its info is not listed amoung the fields.
    What procedure piece am I missing?

    Hi all,
    i have the same problem. Is it possible that only we have this problem? I found solutions with external partners, but i think it should be possible to do it inside SAP R/3, isn't it?
    best regards

  • Digital Signatures - preserving throughout the process

    I have a form with 4 parts, each part requiring a digital signature.
    I just read the article on preserving digital signatures (http://www.adobe.com/devnet/livecycle/workflow/articles/lc_wf_preserve_digisig_tip.pdf), but I am still a little confused. Does this only work if I am sending the form as an email attachment (is that what the routes and attachments mean)?
    We want to do everything on-line (using pdf's)? We want part 1 user to fill out the form on-line, digital sign it, then it submit the form where it gets routed to part 2 user. So, is it possible for user 1 to type in the last name to look up user 2 and then selects user 2 - user gets an email with a URL to fill put part 2 on-line, but the digital signature from user 1 needs to be preserved. Then user 2 will digital sign the form and route to user 3.
    So, the basic question was, can we do all this on-line (using PDFs) or do we have to involve email attachments? I wouldn't think so, but I wanted to clarify.
    Thank you,
    Jennifer

  • Digital Signatures Help Requested

    I looked through the forums and there was one thread not too long ago that talked about digital signatures but didn't seem to focus on this particular problem, so I figured I'd start a new one hoping someone would have some advice.
    We receive a document that is digitally signed by our client. We view the PDF in the full version of Acrobat and have added these users as Trusted Users (in managed trusted identities).
    We Verify the Signatures that were added to the document and see the digital signatures at the bottom of the document but there's one thing that's not showing up and that's the actual "signature" or "signed signature" of the person. We only see a typed out version of their name.
    We've spoken to our client and they maintain that we should be viewing the "signed signature" and we need to figure it out.
    When I check the Signature Properties, it tells me that their signatures were created using "Entrust.PPKEF". Could this be the problem?
    As much as I'm reading up on Digital Signatures, it's my belief that we don't need to purchase any other software in order to view these properly. Am I mistaken.
    Any help would sure be appreciated.
    Paul

    Hi Paul,
    Are you expecting a "wet ink" type of signature? That is, an image in the signature field that is a copy of a signature someone created with pen and paper? If that's what you really need then maybe a digital signature workflow is not what you should require from your client. However, in many respects a digital signature (at least in the electronic world) is a much more powerful tool then a wet ink facsimile.
    In this day and age, anyone could grab an image of a wet ink signature, crop it and use it apply it to a document as if they were the original signer. In others words, in the electronic world a wet ink signature is not very secure. However, a digital signature cryptographically binds the signer to the document. As long as the digital ID used to create the digital signature comes from a trusted third party (i.e. a certificate authority that vettes the identity of the individual before they issue the digital ID) then you are get two things from the digital signature. One is document integrity (you will know if the document has been altered post signing), and the other is non-repudiation (the signer cannot deny that they were the person that applied the digital signature). If you are accepting digital IDs (it's the "manage trusted identities" thing you mentioned) issued by a certificate authority that does not vette the identity of the signer then you have to be a bit more leery of trusting the signer.
    I don't know if the Entrust signature method has the ability to add a custome appearance that includes the wet ink facsimile, but if it does, your client could create a digital signature whose appearance looks like a wet ink signature. However, the bottom line is the lack of a wet ink  facsimile is not a cause of concern when it comes to digital signatures  in PDF files.

  • How to get digital signature for Google Map geocoding V3 in PL/SQL?

    Hi, Gurus:
        Could anyone provide me an example about how to generate digital signature for Google Maps service v3 in PL/SQL? We tried to upgrade our program using Google maps service from v2 to v3. We are using PL/SQl on background to send request to Google for geocoding. We found some sample code to register with digital signature, but none of them is based on PL/SQl. Notice I used Google business client ID "gme-XXX" and wallet.

I have implemented the solution for tansfer of any document from client FTP site to bank FTP site. However not have any clue on how to apply digital signature before transferring using SFTP protocal.
    I have gone through b2b guide and found that We can apply digital signature and message encryption for only AS1/2, ebMS-1.0/2.0 and RosettaNet-01.10/V02.00 Protocols. Security tab is enabled when we select the above protocols only.
    Please shed some light on how to provide the solution for this requirement.

  • Digital Signature Integration with Oracle Application

    Hi
    We have a requirement of taking the digital Signature online from the different users and embedding into the report.
    This is required to avoid paper work of getting the signature and archiving those papers.
    Instead , we need to do that online.
    Please let me know how it can be done in Oracle Application
    Thanks

    Hi Hussein,
    Thanks for the reply.
    I will explain my requirement .
    This needs to be implemented in Warehouse.
    Requirement is
    Whenever the goods are shipped from warehouse to Stores, a report of items are taken and it is signed by the driver who transports those items.
    These are done by taking the printout manually and getting the signature manually.
    Because of this archiving becomes very difficult.
    We would like to get the drivers signature online and embed into the report.
    Thanks

    hi
    i've the same problem. i've found this solution, but you need download a JCE Provider that allow you to read the explorer certificate store.
    You can try this one: https://download.assembla.se/jceprovider/
    and the code:
    import se.assembla.*;
    public class Listcerts {
         public static void list() throws Exception{
              java.security.Security.insertProviderAt(new se.assembla.jce.provider.ms.MSProvider(), 2);
              KeyStore ks = KeyStore.getInstance("MSKS","assembla");
              ks.load(null,null);
              X509Certificate cert=null;
              String alias=null;
              int count=0;
              for (java.util.Enumeration e=ks.aliases();e.hasMoreElements();){
                        alias=(String)e.nextElement();
                        cert=(X509Certificate)ks.getCertificate(alias);
                        System.out.println("\n Certificado alias"+alias+":");
                        System.out.println(cert);
                   count++;
              System.out.println ("NUM CERTS="+count);
