Compiling and running ToME in home dir: very weird error
I rather prefer having games in my home directory if possible, but when I compile ToME in my home dir in the usual way:
make -f makefile.std
preceded by the installation of Lua and followed by copying the tome binary and the tome-233-src/lib directory into the same folder... I get this crazy error when I try to run it:
tome_dofile_anywhere(): file ./lib/mods(mods_aux.lua) doesn't exist in -more-
./lib/mods/mods_aux.luo. LUA: error: attempt to call a nil value LUA: -more-
ERROR in lua_cal while calling 'max_modules' rom call_lua. Things -more-
should start breaking up from now on! -more-
... And then ToME goes Cyrillic:
But that's not all. The real corker is that this happens *only* (and invariably) when I'm using KDE. If I'm using Gnome, this *never* happens; Pzubik's PKGBUILD also works, *every* time. Could someone help me get rid of this crap?Hi,
When I try to compile the java program from the tutorial I get about 10 errors. It returns
cannot resolve symbol
symbol:method emit ()
I'm using J2SDK 1.4 and I believe that JAXP1.1 is built into it so I don't know what is wrong. It is the Echo example in the tutorial that I'm trying to do.
Your help is greatly appreciated as, like yourself, I've wasted about a week at this.
Thanks -
DBMS_LOB.FILEOPEN(dir, fname) gives non-existent dir or file error
Hello!
I've been trying to load an image file into the oracle database using the DBMS_LOB loadfromfile procedure. In order to do this, I first have to open the appropriate file which I do using
temp_bfile := bfilename('temp_dir', in_filename);
where in_filename is a string having the appropriate filename. and 'temp_dir' is a directory object created as follows:
CREATE DIRECTORY temp_dir AS 'F:\';
Next when I do a
DBMS_LOB.FILEOPEN(temp_bfile, LOB_READONLY);
I get an exception ORA-22285:non-existent directory or file.
What am I doing wrong? Is the way I've created the directory object correct. I work on an NT machine.
MonaNot sure if the UTL_FILE package is the same but if you don't set the "utl_file_dir" variable in the INIT.ORA file prior to calling the FOPEN procedure you will get a similiar error. There may be an equivalent parameter for the DBMS_LOB package.

SAP-Documentum Interface - getting an error as: Could not create PLM DIR.
Hi all,
We are facing following problem with the interface of SAP-Documentum.
While linking multiple DIRs from Documentum, getting an error as: 'Could not create PLM DIR. (E26324) (Error in version number increment for version 00)'.
Observation:
It's getting failed in 'DIR_GET' every time, so attempts to create new DIR every time.
Note:
Recently upgraded to SAP ECC 6.0 EHP4.
Please help.
Thanks.Sachin,
There are couple of things you could do:
1) Try the same values and execute linking manually in sap by calling BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2 in se37.
2) Try pre-pending zeros to the equipment number field using WebAdmin on Documentum side.
Send me a message if you need additional help. I have been working with Documentum-SAP integrations for over 10 years and pretty much seen every problem out there

Total time: 1 minute 12 secondsHi,
Can u Please post the WSDL..here. I remember long back i resolved this kind of issue...when i was getting "*parameters is already defined in - - -*" while using ClientGen.
Once i will get the WSDL may be i can recall it...
If u have any problem in Posting the WSDL..in Forums .. then let me know I will send my E-Mail Address...
As far as i remember ..it usually happens when we Run ClientGen task of WLS81 ON the WebService/WSDL generated by WebLogic 9.x or Above. Please let me know if this is the Case with you as well... . I remember there is a Patch for it...for WLS8 ClientGen task...I dont remember the Patch Number Exactly.
Just For testing:
Just Use WLS9.x ClientGen task On the Same WSDL
<taskdef name="clientgen" classname="weblogic.wsee.tools.anttasks.ClientGenTask" />
I am sure you will not see this issue... because the issue is there only with WLS8 Clientgen...

Hi All ,
We have a Fp140 card reloaded due to the following error.
plim_xge[242]: %PLATFORM-CIH-5-ASIC_ERROR : pla[0]: A
parity error has occurred causing performance loss transient. 0x10440003
plim_xge[242]:
%PLATFORM-CIH-5-ASIC_ERROR_HARD_RESET_START : pla[0]: HARD_RESET needed 0x10440003
Cisco error message decoder provides following explanation.
%PLATFORM-CIH-5-ASIC_ERROR [chars]: [chars] error has occurred[chars]%s [hex]
[chars] [chars]
Explanation An ASIC error has occurred and been handled.
Can someone help me undertsand if issue was with FP140 card or the Associated PLIM.
Thanks
DeepakDeepak,
This error was reported by your PLIM ASIC (PLA0). We have 2 of them on every PLIM. This is a log level 5 - notification.
That said, its better you proceed with a TAC case as you might want this to be looked just to be safe.
If you like to track this down I would run the following commnad:
show asic-errors plim asic 0 all location 0/x/CPU0 - X stands for the slot #.
The same info can found in "dir harddisk:/ASIC-ERROR. We keep these records in case the LC had been reset by the system in case we had expereinced an event where we could not recover.
This is all valid for a single/random occurance, if you keep get this message in your syslog and the output of the above command shows a pattern or a trend please go ahead and open SR.
When you do, please capture the following:
show log
show ver br
show inst ac su
ad show platfrom
admin show diag
show asic-errors plim asic 0 all location 0/x/CPU0
show asic-errors plim asic trace all location 0/x/CPU0
show controllers plim asic summary location 0/0/CPU0 <= That maps your PLA to interfaces and/or SIP/SPA HW if exists. Since this is Taiko (CRS-3 AKA 140 Fabric/Line Cards) and I see XGE, I would guess your PLIM is one of these:
14X10GBE
1X100GBE
20X10GBE
show inter br loc 0/x/cpu0

Thanks,
ChulaniI think your problem might be not all the tarball was downloaded or extracted to your home dir. The error says that it cannot open the checkinstall script that is in your home dir.
Other problems could be that you might not have enough space to install the package. -

OK. Go to the web site of the company that manufactures your video card (for example nVidia or ATI) and search for new drivers.
Download them and install them. -
Update Error Tansaction code FB01
Hi Sap Gurus,
In batch input session of accounting documents via FB01, batch input
session log showed " UPDATE ERROR, TRANSACTION FB01, no. in session
000001", Message number is 00373.
Users are asking why is there an update error ?The message you see is just a warning that indicates the Dgraph node in your AppConfig XML (either DgraphCluster.xml or AuthoringDgraphCluster.xml) is not specified properly. My guess is that yours looks like this:
<dgraph id="DgraphA1" host-id="LiveMDEXHostA" port="25000"
post-startup-script="LiveDgraphPostStartup">
<properties>
<property name="restartGroup" value="1" />
<property name="DgraphContentGroup" value="Live" />
</properties>
* <args>*
* <arg>--updatedir</arg>*
* <arg>./data/dgraphs/DgraphA1/dgraph_input/updates</arg>*
* </args>*
<log-dir>./logs/dgraphs/DgraphA1</log-dir>
<input-dir>./data/dgraphs/DgraphA1/dgraph_input</input-dir>
+<update-dir>./data/dgraphs/DgraphA1/dgraph_input/updates</update-dir>+
</dgraph>
The error message is complaining about the args section. The updatedir argument gets sourced from the update-dir element and if you try to specify it in args, you see the message below.
I think we'll need more information to solve the primary issue (what does your PartialForge.log say, is there anything in data\partials\forge_output). Dgidx does not run during a partial update so not having a warning or error there is expected.

Compiler Error! ***HELP***
I'm trying to compile RTPPlayerApplet.java and DataSource.java(All from Samples of JMF)
WinXP Pro
JMF 2.1.1
But there are some errors:
Even I HAVE LiveStream.class,CLASSPATH is right...
Compile command:java -classpath LiveStream DataSource.java
(They are in the same dir.)
4 errors are all about LiveStream,eg:cannot resolve symbol.
Then I try to compile RTPPlayer.java
the errors are about ParticipantListWindow
Why?
Please reply me soon.if the sample apps for any API don't compile, the cause is 99% of the time an incorrect classpath.

RapidMarts - "Open file error" R3C-150607 loading from file
Hello experts.
We are installing RapidMarts for the SA-module, but when executing the main workflow in Data services we get an error trying to load the file dates.dat.
The generated ABAP looks just fine, and the file exists where it should be (in SAP working directory), but still not able to load it.
This is the error msg:
Data flow DF TimeDim SAP - Execute ABAP program <E:/RM generated ABAP dir/TimeDim.aba> error > Open File Error -- E:/RM Working directory/dates.dat>.
We have the following setup:
Windows server
MS SQLserver 2005 database
SAP BO Dataservices v12.2.9.0
SAP BO RapidMarts for v12.2.0
Any good ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
IngAHi again.
The problem is solved.
When configuring the R3 datastore in Dataservices we assigned the different directories (working dir, generated ABAP dir etc.) on a server that's NOT our R3-server.
When we changed this to use folders on our SAP-server it works just fine (for this at least)
Cheers, IngA -
Partial Update error / sample code
Customer is trying to do Partial Update by refering the sample shown in PartialUpdatesGuide.pdf, however, baseline update is showing following error. Is there any sample code to do partial update with the actual success in some instance, or any resolution for this ?
WARNING:provisioning warning: The option '--updatedir' is reserved. It has been removed from the command line
Additional informations are:
- after partial update, dgraph_input/updates does not have partial update file (directory is empty). It seems that they does not use Parial Update Pipeline in forge, this file is not created.
- Dgidx log does not show any other error or warningThe message you see is just a warning that indicates the Dgraph node in your AppConfig XML (either DgraphCluster.xml or AuthoringDgraphCluster.xml) is not specified properly. My guess is that yours looks like this:
<dgraph id="DgraphA1" host-id="LiveMDEXHostA" port="25000"
post-startup-script="LiveDgraphPostStartup">
<properties>
<property name="restartGroup" value="1" />
<property name="DgraphContentGroup" value="Live" />
</properties>
* <args>*
* <arg>--updatedir</arg>*
* <arg>./data/dgraphs/DgraphA1/dgraph_input/updates</arg>*
* </args>*
<log-dir>./logs/dgraphs/DgraphA1</log-dir>
<input-dir>./data/dgraphs/DgraphA1/dgraph_input</input-dir>
+<update-dir>./data/dgraphs/DgraphA1/dgraph_input/updates</update-dir>+
</dgraph>

Patrick Rafferty

TextEdit.app won't save new files to sub-firs of my Documents dir
This just started happening recently. Right after I installed the last Pages update AAMOF.
I can successfully save a new document (.rtf) file to my Documents, but not to any sub-dir. The error dialog box says it can't save because file doesn't exists. And, this gets logged to the console:
TextEdit[283]: view service marshal for <NSRemoteView: 0x7fe8cb422cd0> failed to forget accessibility connection due to Error Domain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=4099 "Couldn’t communicate with a helper application."
It's just TextEdit that's doing this, no other apps seem too be affected.Thanks Griff W,
I ran disk utility, and although it reported lots of permissions issues with the iBooks app and some Printer stuff, nothing related to TextEdit.
I've done a little more investigating...
This is only happening on my i7 iMac at work. Everything is fine on my MacBook Pro and my i5 iMac at home. So, I guess we can discount the Pages update having anything to do with this.
Everything is up to date, updates wise, on all of my machines listed above.
I did enable FileVault encryption on my work i7 iMac around the 1st week of August. That could have possibly messed something up with TextEdit??
Again, this is just happening with TextEdit, when trying to save a new document to a sub-directory of my Documents dir. Similar saves to other directories and/or sub-dirs work just fine.
If I save a new TextEdit document to my Documents dir, that works. And, if I then move it to a sub-dir, I can successfully edit and save it again with TextEdit.
This is the message I get in the TextEdit dialog box when doing a failed new document save: The document “Untitled” could not be saved as “See.rtf”. The file doesn’t exist.What the heck does that mean anyway? The document/file "Untitled" doesn't exist.. well of course not, it's a new document!
I do have a bad habit of keeping unsaved "notes, reminders, todos, etc." as TextEdit documents laying around. And, doing logouts, reboots, etc. with these "unsaved" documents still laying around. Could that have contributed to this issue?
This isn't exactly a show stopper, I can work around it. It's more annoying then anything. Any ideas on how to fix things will be appreciated though.
