Disable a button through iview personalisation

Hi,
I would like to disable a couple of buttons in an IAC iview using the iview personalisation.In content management, I opened the iview from PCD and I clicked on the menu icon on top and then selected 'personalise' option from it.I would like to know how to proceed further.I have read a couple of posts on SDN but could not gain much on this.

Hi,
in RibbonWorkbench you can customize all actions and visibilities using javascript.
In Solution Elements:
In "Enable Rules" add new rule. In that rule. In the rule, add Step. In the step you can choice "Function name" in your JS code, that return true or false, depending of your condition.
Then in "Commands" chose your command. In command under "Actions" there is "EnableRules". Add your rule there.
Unfortunately, i can't place screenshot here. It will be more clearly to understand, where those buttons appear.

Disabling the Button in Ap invoice through custom pll

i have done one customization in ap invoices , such way that
in supplier screen --> organization tab--> created the DFF for the supplier limit say 4000
now in ap invoices screen, now i creating the PREPAYMENT, if the amount exceed that 4000, it will create hold, i written code for that
now my problem is in HOLD TAB Release button is there,
my requirement is RELEASE BUTTON SHOULD BE DISABLED until the until the amount is not rectified.

the release button is not diabling since in the AP INVOICES forms, HOLDS is IN OBJECT GROUPS of that form the HOLD forms is APXHOLDS, how to disabled the button,

but it is not disabling the button

are you using 11.5.10? If you are why not try the personalization features?

Hide/disable 'Change' button in IAC Iview

We want to Hide/disable "Change" Button in PZ88. We want to give only 'Display' button to the users.

You can comment the Change button on the HTML template SAPLEHIN88 100) for the Internet Service PZ88 in SE80.

How to Disable Print Button in document.htm?

Hi,
I'am using HAP_DOCUMENT BSP applications for Appraisal.I had creatde iViews for that BSP's in Portal and am able to acess all the BSP's.
I'am using document_created.htm BSP for displaying Created Appraisals and it is working fine.When i click on particular Appraisal mentioned in that iview it will move to next page i..e.,document.htm where we can see the complete description of the Appraisal.Now we had 5 buttons in that page
Action Log,Exit,Display Scorecard,Disaply Qualifications and Print.
Now i want to disable Print Button.I searched a lot but am unable to find the exact code written for this Print button.I dnt know much abt the coding of BSP's,please anybody guide me with a solution.

Instead of disabling the print buttons, you can restrict creating the actual output message for a specific output type.
You can achieve it by creating the Output Requirement in transaction VOFM. You need to assign this requirement to your Output type. In this Requirement you can check all your conditions. If they all validation pass through than and than create the Output.

How Can i Disable this Button (Screenshots)

Hi,
I need to disable 2 buttons (Approve - Reject) for a specific responsibility (+see screenshot link below+)

Through Personalize Page, i personalized the button and set it's Render to FALSE but they still appear (+see screenshot link below+)

Disable Reject Button for Invoice on Work Item Screen

Hi! I know we can use the Dynamic Column configuration to disable and enable the Approve/Reject button on the Inbox screen where the approval work items are displayed. However, I would like to know whether it is possible to have only the Reject button disabled? Reason for asking this is a rejection reason needs to be maintained for the rejection. The check is in place if we reject the invoice from the detail screen. However, if we reject it from the Inbox screen, it will go through without any warning or error message. I have searched OSS notes but found nothing so am wondering whether this can be considered a bug or not. If not, then I want to know what solution option I have relating to this. I am thinking of either a repair to disable the button on the screen for invoice approval or find a why with the dynamic columns to do that.

How to disable refresh button in webi reports in BOXI3.1SP2-Java SDK

Hi all,
We have integrated Java with BO, here end users will give parameters through java screen. After submitting all the parameters webi reports will opens in separate window.
Here requirement is end users should pass the parameters from java screen and they should able to save the report in to excel/PDF.
Refresh/edit buttons should disable/hide in the webi report.
below is the sample url we are using in the java.

why do not set this over the authorization scheme? Just deny your users the right to refresh/edit the report.

Disable "Delete" button only at project definition level

Dear Gurus,
Is anybody have any idea regarding how to disable "delete" button at project definition level (and remain enabled for phases, tasks,...)?
I tried it through Web dynpro application, but it got disabled for entire hierarchy.

If you are using the Smartbar you just enable or disable the relevant Menu Item using SET_MENU_ITEM_PROPERTY and that will automatically enable or disable the corresponding Button.
(you will need to use the Menu module menudefs.mmb which is a MMB version of the standard menu and smartbar and from that you can get the names of all the menu items.)
If it is a normal toolbar canvas with buttons on it you can use SET_ITEM_PROPERTY to enable and disable the buttons

I need to disable 'SAVE' button on 'FILE' menu on some forms using personalization. Please let me know if you know how to do this. Currently we have done this through custom.pll and we are trying to phase out custom.pll. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Neel,
You could set the conditional display of the button based on a Plsql function returning a boolean.
Something along the lines of:
IF :P1_ITEM = 'Some Value' THEN
RETURN TRUE;
ELSE
RETURN FALSE;
END IF;
This will not display the button at all unless the P1_ITEM is equal to the value that you want.
This is the simplest form that will get you going. If you want to "grey out" the button to leave it visible but disabled then you would need to investigate this a little further. I have seen some other threads that would probably help you out here but am no exert on javascript so just have a poke around.

If you only want to be able to submit once you can add the following disabled property with EL expression to your save button in the jspx page.
disabled="#{adfFacesContext.postback}"
The save button will only be clickable upon initial entry of the page.
To persist this change when generating your application you can use a custom velocity template. Have a look at the JHeadstart developers guide, paragraph 4.7

If you want to have an insert only form you can also use an insert only View Object (go to the view object editor and select the tuning tab and the "No rows" option)

Programatticaly disabling radio button choices

I was wondering if there was a way I could have a set of radio buttons that correspond to files in a database, and disable specific buttons when the corresponding file does not exist. I only seem to be able to disable the whole radio set at a time.

First, sorry for the thread hijacking but I'm interested in a more official NI response to a similar issue about converting array to cluster. Perhaps it'll even be useful to this thread's originator.
Summary: I have some typedef'ed clusters consisting entirely of Boolean LED's. I did some processing based on converting cluster to array, performing some array-based operations, the converting back to cluster. During development, the # of Booleans in the cluster would need to change. Then I'd need to search out all the "array to cluster" conversions and enter the new size. I wanted a method that didn't require manually changing all these hidden values.
Through trial-and-error experience, I discovered a technique that seems to work reliably under LV 7.1. I would typecast from an array of Booleans to a cluster of Booleans, using a typedef constant wired to the 'type' input. It always produced the behavior I needed, but don't know if this would be a recommended practice or not. Particularly, will this continue to work in 8.0? Are there some gotchas I need to be aware of ? Here's a link to my entry in an earlier thread.
