Disable a field based on choice of a radio button

Novice JS user here. Trying to disable a text field in a pdf based on the selection of a radio button and if a specific radio buttons are
selected, take the user to a specific field. Ex. Married/Single, Male/Female. So if they select Married & Female, it will take them to the Maiden Name text field. If they select Male or Single/Female, the Maiden Name text field will disable. I would appreciate any help on this.

Ideally this code should work since in the PBO i.e., At selection screen output i am enabling the fields, and also when i select the second radio button i am also checking for the value too..
I am working on 4.7 version of SAP. The Most interesting observation is it works fine for few variants, and not with others.

APEX 4.1 show hide fields based on value of checkbox/radio

I am trying to successfully hide and show fields based on the value of a clicked checkbox. I am using a dynamic action, but it isn't working.
I followed the sample at Does Oracle Apex 4 enable the following AJAX features? (ie without the dev writing the Javascript) - Stack Overflow
I even tried a radio button, but it didn't work. I cannot uncheck the radio button. What am I doing wrong? Thank you for any help you can provide.

     create a dynamic action for page load to hide the item which you wanna hide
     now create another dynamic action
     event : Click
     Selection Type : Items
     Items : P1_Check_box(name of the check box item)
     condition : equal to
     value : return value of the check box item (if you click the check box and the return value is 1 then just add 1)
     in true actions
     Action : Show
    Selection Type : Items
     Items : P1_Text_field(name of the field)
     uncheck fire on page load
     create exact opposite false action, that's it.

Adobe Captivate - Multiple Choice Quiz Question - Radio Button and Text Alignment

I have created a quiz with multiple choice questions.
No matter what I do I cannot align the radio button and the text for the choices (see below).
I would like to align the center of the radio button with the center of the letter A) and B).
I have tried every option that I can think of in the Properties options.
Please let me know if anyone has a solution for this.

"Filter the LOV based on the selected conditions" RADIO BUTTON doesn' work

Hi All, I'm trying to create a cascading parameters mechanism, but I found certain difficulties.
I need to have 2 LOV connect: the master LOV retrieve a list of User's groups, and the detail LOV has to retrieve only the customer's categories that come from the user's groups selected.
So, in order to retrieve the values I defined on the Administrator:
1) one custom folder for the master LOV (list of the User's groups) and another custom folder for the details LOV (list of the customer's categories).
2) The 2 LOV as item classes
On Discoverer Plus, following the manual ("About filtering lists of parameter values based on selected conditions ("cascading parameters"), I tried to create thw first parameter based on the master LOV, but I DON'T have the radio button "Filter the list of values based on the selected conditions" enabled !!!...I CAN'T USE IT !
If this radio button is not enabled, I can't link the master parameter with the detail parameter.....
Anybody can help to discoverer what I missed during the creation of cascading parameters ?

I resolved the problem, linked the two custom folders with a join !
The radio button didn't work just only the parameter where condition has to be deselected and then re-selected !!

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to change the drop down list control to radio button control in the task form.
I suggest you can use InfoPath to change the control to radio button like below:
For hiding "Delete Item" action in the task form, I suggest you can add the Jquery to the PlaceHolderMain tag of "WrkTaskIP.aspx" within layouts folder path:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS\WrkTaskIP.aspx

Show/Hide fields based on choices in drop down menu

I need help with a script that I cobbled together from an example script; I'm not good enough at java to edit it for my needs.
I have a form where I would like different drop down fields would be visible/hidden depending on the choices made from other drop down menus.
If (for example) they select paper type "white" or "color" then "white" will result in a second menu of paper choices, the "color" selection result in them picking the paper wieght, then from there the color.
My problem stems from the fact that my form is very linited in space, so I would like some of these fields to be essentially on top of each other; visibility dependant on previous choices. I can get to Menu 1 (select paper color) and then Menu 2 if they select white. But there's a problem with setting up a third menu in this series, if they select "color" from Menu 1, then I try to have a drop down for paper weight, all the fields except for Menu 1 are hidden. Playing with the script let me have them all visible, but again, I'm limited on space and can't really spread them out.
I know I'm missing one small command... somewhere.
Here is the script I'm working with:

where the drop down fields are named "sec.a.dd" for example, and the Export value of different values are assigned as "a", "b", etc.

also, if "==" could be roughly translated to "is", "!=" would mean "is not".
JavaScript is Case sensitive so make sure you did not name your field STATE#1 instead. It's a pretty common error. Try not to use special characters when naming fields. Stick to standards. I personnally always name fields with capital letters and numbers using identation like
MYFORM.PLACE.NUMBER
MYFORM.PLACE.ADDRESS
MYFORM.SEX.MALE
MYFORM.SEX.FEMALE
This is really useful if you have lots of fields related to one another. You can then apply methods to entire groups of fields in one simple line of code.
For example this.getField("MYFORM").display = display.hidden would hide all four fields. It works kind of the same way as folders unside your computer.
Finally, "#" is generally used as widget identification. I think this is what happened. If you copy a field, it retains the same name and some of its charateristics but acrobat will assign them a number called widget. The original field State will get the identification State#0 in the right pane as it is 0-based. The copie will be identified State#1. You must understand that the name of the field is still "State". Some methods (actions you can code) let you determine the widget number for targetting a specific field from those you copied. It is not the case here. So for disambiguation, you should name your fields different name like STATE1 and STATE2, or STATE.1 and STATE.2 if you plan to use what I wrote about earlier.

Disable certain fields during the creation of SC using "create limit item"

I have a requirement to disable certain fields from the role "SHOP" associated with the operational purchaser role. I would like to disable the fields "Unlimited check box", "Service Agent", " Invoice Only radio button", "Unknown account assignment radio button" from the screen I get during creation of SC using the option "Create Limit Item". Also i need to disable the option "Good / Service" entry box as we are using only free text items and donu2019t want this option to be seen in the screen when using the operational purchaser role.
Please advise how can I achieve this.

I have a same requirement to disable certain fields from the Shopping Cart Limit Item. I would like to disable the fields "Service Agent", "Unknown account assignment radio button" from the Detail screen. during creation of SC using the option Limit Item . Also i need to make default Value "Known" and "Invoice Only". But this is in SRM 7.0. Notes You have mentioned supports only Release 5.5, But I am in Release 7.0. Any idea?

Disable a field in a Table layout based on the condition

Hello,
In the seeded page, there is a table layout region with viewobject name as View1. It has 3 fields displayed as Field A, Field B, Field C with multiple rows displayed when the page opens. Fields B and C are MessageTextInputs and Field A is MessageChoice. So in the displayed rows in the table, if the value selected in the Field A is "Bonus" then the fields B and C needs to be disabled so that the user should not be able to enter any information. So if there are 5 rows in that table, only 1 or 2 rows might have the value "Bonus" in the field A and only for those rows, fields B and C needs to be disabled.
I would appreciate if anyone can provide me with a logic. I know how to disable a field based on the value of other field but in this case here, its a table region with multiple rows and only few of them needs to be disabled. I couldn't think of any logic here. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone.
I'm getting really confused right now, please show me the right way. My approach may be, and probably is, wrong since I am self learning this and all I have is an ASP.NET background.
I have a page with a table in it. I've created a DataControl for a collection I've made and mapped it to the table. I added a column that shows an "edit" button. On it's click, I open a popup that shows the selected row's data. Naviguation controls are also present on the popup.
This is working fine.
My problem comes in the popup. Each row has multiples fields. These fields, shown on the popup, need to dynamically be enable/disable. To toggle those field, the only way I can see right now is to have a function that takes into parameter the rowId and the fieldName. Based on those two fields, I can get the necessary information to know if I need to enable or disable the control.
What I was aiming for, but then again I totally failed, was to have that function called on the "enabled" EL Expression, returning a Boolean.
Now that this has been said, can someone guide my on how to dynamically enable/disable each field based on the selected row.

If there is business logic that prohibits to update this object unless that is met.. you can also do it as..
In EOImpl .. override isAttributeUpdateable(int i) method eg:

Required Fields based on field value

I am using Acrobat 9.1 Std. This is what I am trying to accomplish I have four text fields that I want to make required based on the selection of a radio button group.
I have two radio buttons on the form w/ the same name w/ the button value set to Yes for one and No for another. If the radio button w/ value Yes is selected I want to set the four text fields to required. If the radio button value is No the text fields should be optional.
Ive found similar postings for what I am trying to accomplish; however, I havent had any success in getting it to function correctly.

Some more information on what I have tried..For simplicity Im just trying to get one text field to work, then I can repeat the java code for the other text fields.
In acrobat Standard 9.1 I go to Forms Add or Edit Fields from there I select the radio button group (contains two radio buttons) on the left column and select properties. Then on the radio button properties dialog box I select the Actions tab. Set the Trigger for Mouse Up and the Action for Run a JavaScript . I click the Add button and enter the following into the JavaScript editor:

I then close the JavaScript editor, save the form and re-open to test it. I select the radio button w/ value Yes and click the Submit button and the form goes on to submit. At this point I would expect it to error because I didnt fill in any value for TextField1.
I also tried altering the field tag with the below java:

Using radio buttons to populate a text field

This is my first time creating Adobe Forms and my first time using JavaScript as well. One of the questions on my form asks about Ethnicity and I have about 15 choices for which I created radio buttons. I want the user's choice to populate a textfield, but am not sure how to write the code that will do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you set the export value (aka Button Value, Radio Button Choice) of each radio button to the text you want to show up in the text box, the custom calculate script for the text box, which you should set to read-only, can be simply:
