Disable Browser buttons(Back,Forward etc) in Mobile.

Hi,
I have a WD application which runs perfectly fine on desktop as by default WD framework disables the built in browser functionality of using BACK, FORWARD.
If I test the same application on a mobile device and if I use the BACK button of pocket IE then the application throws error.
Is this a known issue for Mobile WebDynpro or is there any way by which I can disable programmatically those pre-defined browser functionalities.

Surely there must be some UserChrome.css that will solve this problem. Something like this:

Unfortunately that does not work. I probably have the button text item name wrong (there is a pound sign before addonbar but it doesn't show in this posting).

At home, this is not an issue. I don't know why it's different here at work--same installation, same settings (as far as I can tell).

I have a NoScript add-on icon in the corner, which works fine. If I add a GreaseMonkey icon from the Customize menu, the "Icon and Text" appears for that icon, like the Icon and Text from the browser controls (Home, stop, etc). Other add-on icons also show Icon and Text (S4E, for instance). NoScript is the only one I've found so far which collapses down to just an Icon.
This leads to the status (add-on) bar having a much larger height than I like. Essentially what I want is for only the Icon to appear in the Status bar (Add-on toolbar), while keeping Icons and Text in the Browser controls. My current workaround is simply removing the other add-on icons from the status (add-on) toolbar, but that takes away the ease of toggling and setting options.
Please tell me if I can provide you with anything else, and thanks for your help.

My interface -- buttons (back, forward, reload), firefox tab, groups, etc. -- does not look like the sample on your "firefox features" page. ("Groups" seems not to function at all.) I'm running the current firefox 4 download on Windows XP. Can you help?

Thank you for your swift reply. I don't know that this has helped me, as I've reached my level of tolerance for fooling with this annoying little problem - for today anyway. It has been going on since I "up" graded to Firefox 4. My wife is running 3.6.x on her laptop with none of this foolishness. As BLASPHEMOUS as it may sound, I've gone back to IE for the time being even though I don't like it 1000th as much as I do Firefox.
Not just to rant here, I would say that I found a way to put some buttons on the right side of the toolbar that immediately gave me permission to "back, forward, and reload", but upon closing the browser and going out for dinner with the wife, I find on return that not only are those buttons NOT still on the toolbar, but I can't find them anymore. I think they were in "add-ons" found under I believe Add-On Manager.
I did also manage to achieve back/forward functionality running Firefox in SAFE mode, but this meant no No-Script, among other things, and I've grown too fond of that particular little script to give it up.
I've rebooted, restored, and reinstalled, can't get this formerly completely reliable program to work like it always has. Before looking around on here, I was beginning to think it was my PC.

If you mean the drop marker then you can still get the History of the Back and Forward buttons if any by either Left-Click and hold for a second or by Right-Clicking them.
If you still want the drop mark there also then there is this Extension at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker/

After browsing awhile back/forward button becomes disabled; any fix in 4.0

Try this: Safari->View->Customize Toolbar:->remove and readd the tool. If that doesn't do it, post to the Safari for Mac forum.

When using the right mouse button in Yahoo mail inbox (Firefox 8.0.1, Win 7, Yahoo Mail Plus) the Firefox navigation window (Back, Forward etc...) is on top of the Yahoo email menu (Open, Print, Reply etc...). This happens in Firefox safe mode as well.

This also happened in Windows XP which I was using until recently.
The Yahoo mail menu is there but the Firefox menu is on top of it. I tried Firefox safe mode with everything disabled and the problem still happened. I tried Yahoo mail in IE 9 and the right mouse button works correctly.

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed the maximum file size (1 MB).
Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F). 
If you are in full screen mode then hover the mouse to the top to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear. 
You can click the Maximize button at the top right to leave full screen mode or right click empty space on a toolbar and use "Exit Full Screen Mode" or press F11.

I'm doing userchromecss customization of firefox 3.0.19 on slackware linux 12.2 and none of the css lines I've tried would ever change (in size and style) the font inside the hover box. I've tried same css lines on thunderbird and seamonkey and they work, but not on firefox. Here are the css lines I've tride:

The code works for me on Linux for the toolbar buttons and for long lines on chrome pages like about:config 
If it isn't working for you on the toolbars then your Linux distribution may be disabling it somehow.

It sounds like you're having a problem with Firefox for desktop, not Firefox OS, correct?
You may want to try [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode|troubleshooting in Safe mode]]. Start Firefox in Safe mode and then see if the problem goes away. If so, re-activate your plugins and extensions one by one until you locate the one causing the problem.
If the problem does not go away, you can talk to Mozilla Support volunteers at the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/desktop Firefox for Desktop support forum]. They will be much more knowledgeable and able to assist you better.

How to disable browser back/forward buttons from JSF

I have a requirement where I don't want the application users to go back/forward using browser back/forward buttons so I want to disable the browser's back/forward buttons for my application.
Can anyone tell me how to do that?

My problem is that I am opening the new popup windows using setOnLoad Handler in JSF like following:

Now everytime I am going to any other tab or page, I am setting the setOnnLoad handler to blank like

Now the problem is when I open a popup window and close this and then click on browser back/forward buttons, the last opened popup window again come up. This is the problem since I don't want last opened popup window to get opened again on the click of a browser back/forward buttons.
This is a very urgent issue and I need to resolve this asap.
Please help me on this.

Disabling Browser back button

Hi,
Is it possible to disable browser's back button from Applet?

There might be some way to clear the browser's history so there's nowhere to go back to. Or set the current document as the "previous" document. Or open up a new window without a toolbar, or without a history....etc
In most cases though, it's a pretty nasty thing to do. Let the users control their own computers, and just have your software do its job.

Does 6.0.2 have a problem with upload/browse buttons on sites or the save as/open file/export bookmark option or is it just me?

The box to select a file from/to the HD doesn't open. I can't save pages, images, Export/Import the Bookmarks via HTML, open file (CTRL+O), upload images via a browse button on sites, etc. Since I don't have a printer Print print (CTRL+P) defaults to xps which requires a save as dialog.
Only in Firefox.

Lost navigation with view,bookmarks, back,forward home page NYT??

Somethng call Abuchak has replaced my NYT homepage and my navigation bar, with view,bookmarks,back,forward, etc. Want it back.

This issue can be caused by an extension called ConnectBar

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

You can open the about:config page via the location bar and do a search for abuchak via the Filter at the top of the about:config page. 
You can reset all abuchak related prefs that appear bold (user set) via the right-click context menu to their default values.

Disable browser back/forward buttons for CRM 7

In one of the books I've on the subject of the interaction center there was mention of an OSS note to disable the Browser Back/forward button. If you jump around Browser sessions it's common to suddenly jump into a SAP browser session, hit the back button, exit out and then realise the error that you've made.
I've been searching for this note but have been unsuccessful in finding it so far.
Does anyone know what this note is?.

They are all ticked in that box except DEFAULT, DEFAULT_CHM and DEFAULT_ICM. If I tick these and Save I receive the message saying 'DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES (SAP ENTRY). Now obviously I can just enter past this and create a transport, but is this the right thing to do?.
In John Burton's book, called 'Maximize Your SAP CRM Interaction Center' there is an OSS note mentioned to resolve this issue, and was why I originally raised this post.
However, If you suggestion works then I would be happy to try it.
How does one know which technical profile is being used when log in, and therefore which one to change?.
