Disable the List Accounts Applet.

I want to disable the List Accounts link on the Accounts tab and have the Accounts tab redirect you to the Find user menu. Is this possible and how do you do it? The applet is very slow when multiple users are listed at the top. I was able to edit the list.jsp so the applet would not be called. However, i would prefer to have the accounts link go directly to the find user menu and then remove the list accounts menu option. If you have any ideas please let me know.

Edit the UserUIConfig object.
Near the end of the UserUIConfig.xml file find the following tag:
<UserListViewer>
<String>treetable</String>
</UserListViewer>
Edit and set it as:
<UserListViewer>
<String>find</String>
</UserListViewer>
This will redirect the user to 'Find Users' page. The applet is really pathetic :(

I'm trying to add a button to the bottom of the List Accounts page that launches a custom task. I thought this would be easy - just modify UserActionsConfig. I've already added the task to context menus. The problem is there are only options to add buttons for the Find User results page and the context menus. Is there a missing attribute key that needs to be included? Is there a different config file that I need to modify? Any help would be appreciated.

MDT - Can I disable the Administrator account

I found threads on how to turn it on and maybe some on how to turn it off. I already see how to have my task sequence *NOT* enable the administrator account. I just remove the corresponding line in the unattend.xml file. However, are there any repercussions
to this? I already changed what account it automatically logs into.

Ultimately what I did was setup Final Configuration 2013,

I recently upgraded to Lion and am using the current version. I cannot remove the guest account from the startup screen. I disabled it in the system pref but it still appears.

I downloaded and installed the most recent verison of Lion for my iMac. After doing so I noticed that my start up screen now has a "guest" account. I went into settings and disabled the "guest" account. Still, the startup sceen displays a "guest" account and allows one to start the computer in a "safari" only mode.
How do I removed the "guest" account from the start up screen and disable access via the "guest" account?

How can i remove the email account without deleting the email account?

I have an old email account which I want to remove from Mail, which I know how to do. However I don't want to delete these emails but rather park them off-site so that if I ever need them again I can easily re-import. By removing the email account in preferences it says it will delete all the emails etc. from my computer. Is my only solution to copy the emails to a different location, then delete the account and if needed re-import at a later date?

You can do a couple of things.
You can Export the emails to a .mbox file then Import them in which will create an Import folder in Mail; then delete your email account. Or you can just disable the email account leaving it in your list of accounts only disabled.

Todo tab: Routes displayed when selecting the List View

Hi,
I have a question about the routes that appear on the workspace's "To do" list view, and how to perform validations when they are clicked.
I've created a process that starts with a form being created by a user. Then, it's validated by a sequence of other users. Each one sees a different set of routes. On one of the steps of the process, one of the routes requires the user to input a text.
The condition is checked on the click event of the AWS_SUBMIT button, where I've also put the text request. If the user is using the card view on the "To do" tab and clicks on the item, the form opens and, when the user submits it, all works as expected. However, if he has the list view and clicks once on the item, the route names appear on the bottom right of the workspace, and he's able to select them. As the form hasn't been opened, there's no control on the selected route, and the user is never asked to input the text. On the next step of the process, which depends on this text, the process gets stalled.
Is it possible to hide these routes on the workspace, disable the list view, or stop the submit if it hasn't been started without opening the form? I know you can customize the workspace, would this allow me to remove the route buttons?
The version we are using is LiveCycle ES 8.2.1.3.

Is there any way to hide the submit button(green check mark) that appears on the task card when a user saves a form in their draft folder.
Users are bypassing the form validation by submitting a form this way. For instance, a user will fill out the form with values that do not pass validation. They will save the form in their drafts folder. The user will then close the form and navigate to their draft folder. Without opening the form again, they will click the green check box submit button and a form with invalid data will be submitted to the process.
This is LC 8.2.1.3.

Temporarily disabling specific email accounts for phone shared by multiple users

Hi all and thank-you in advance for any potential help!
My company has a Blackberry "Style Flip" 9670 for our sales-people traveling in Northern Canada in the Yukon area. This phone goes with whoever is going on that particular trip, however it has 5 different email accounts associated with it for the 3 users that share it.
I don't know if this is possible with a Blackberry or not, but we would love if there was an easy way to temporarily disable the email accounts that do not belong to the person carrying the phone at that point in time.
The way it is now, we have User A (2 email accounts), User B (2 email accounts), and User C (1 email account) sharing this phone. If 'User C' is presently up north and has the phone and sends an email to 'User A' and 'User B', the email is still received on the shared BB for both 'User A' & 'User B' and wastes a lot of precious bandwidth. The main dilema is the two users with multiple accounts on that phone receive a ton of emails daily. This means 'User C' may have 1 crucial email waiting to be received, but has to wait for all of 'User A' & 'User B's' emails to be received before getting the important email.
Is there a way without deleting the accounts each time to turn certain email accounts on and off? Any help is much appreciated!

Best practices for disabling an employees account, but leaving mailbox available for others while not accepting messages

I'm sure that other organizations have some policy for this. In our case, we want to keep the mailbox available for others to still access, but disable the user account and remove it from OWA.
In this case, I've disabled the AD object, disabled OWA from the features, and set the mailbox to only receive emails from a dummy mailbox (so that no new emails are accepted).
This all works fine and senders receive a NDR that their mail was rejected, however I'd also like to set a friendlier custom NDR to call the office instead when any sender attempts to send email to that recipient.
What would best practices, suggestions be for this behavior?

According to your description, the user object in AD has been disabled.
In this case, the mailbox cannot mostly likely be accessed. Thus, maybe OOF couldn’t help you.

Disabling G/L Account field in MIGO transaction

HIiya Gurus,
                 I have got a requirement to disable the GL Account field in Accounting tab in the MIGO transaction. since i am an abaper i am not sure how to disable this field. i have gone through the transaction SPRO , but unfortunately for the filed G/L Account field KONTO there are only 2 options :--
either to make it optional or mandatory.
                 But my requirement is to make it disabled (greyed out), IS it possible to Grey out that field.
In my customization this field is set as Option.
               Kindly provide me with your valuable suggestions.

In order to make the fields to be in display mode during the display of material document, create a module under PBO and import the flag value and the production order number details in the method LINE_MODIFY and if that flag = u2018Xu2019, use

Smichy I think you're getting the guest account mixed up with the new Guest user.
If you really want to disable it.... here you go:
Open System Preferences
Click on “Security & Privacy
Click the lock in the lower corner and type in your administrative password to unlock the control panel
Check the box next to “Disable restarting to Safari when screen is locked”
But I really suggest you don't, since it's for your own good. Why lose features like Find my Mac, etc?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

Can you disable an AD account based on the email address

New to Powershell so hopefully this makes sense. I have a script to disable users from a list of user names and it works fine. However our HR system doesn't use the same naming convention as AD.
The only common field is the e-mail address. Does anyone know a script that will search a list of email addresses and disable the associated AD account? The e-mail address from the HR system should be the primary address of the user but it may not always
be so I need to search all the users addresses.

Remove -WhatIf if you're happy with the initial output to actually disable the accounts.
