Displaying subset of rows in a row

Hi,
I have a report that I am working on and need some help and Report looks like below.
Can you please tell me, how to display Column D (Approver) through Column H (Gate 2) as sub rows within the row?

According to your description, you want to hide the Approver column and make it can be toggled by Gate2 column. Right?
As another moderator suggested, your goal can be achieved in Reporting Services. In Reporting Services, we can set visibility for column and set the whole column can be toggled by another textbox. We have tested this case in our local environment. Here are
steps and screenshots for your reference:
1. Create a table in report based on screenshot above.
2. Right click on Approver column, select Column Visibility. Choose Hide and Display can be toggled by this report item. In the dropdown list, select the textbox which is header of Gate2.
3. Save and preview. It looks like below:

I needed to display the amounts as separate columns pertaining to different elements or rather different sub classification of the elements

However, the fact is that my each element_type_id has each run_result_id, which means 1 element has 1 run result id. Thus, I cannot display the data in a single row.
Can someone guide me on this? How can I display the data for an employee as a single row?

Conditionally display button based on number of rows in rpt query results?

I know that I can conditionally display a button based on the number of rows returned in a query entered in the condition. However, I have a report region button that I only want to display if any data was returned by a report query. Since I've already executed the query to generate the report, I do not want to execute it again to determine whether any rows were returned. Is there any way to detect whether any rows were returned for a report other than to reissue the query?

OK, so it looks like it contains the rowcount of the report region rendered just before the variable (apex_application.g_flow_total_row_count) is referenced.
Sort of like how SQL%ROWCOUNT contains the no. of records affected by the last SQL DML statement.
Note that the pagination scheme affects the result. In the example above, the 2nd report region is showing 10 rows with a 'Rows X to Y' pagination scheme. So g_flow_total_row_count=11 because I guess the reporting engine has to fetch the 11th row (and discard it) to determine whether to render the 'Next' pagination link.
If you select a pagination scheme that forces the reporting engine to fetch all the rows 'Rows X to Y of Z', g_flow_total_row_count will always be Z, not the number of rows actually rendered on the screen.

If we move the horizontal scroll bar of the table and filter a column when there is a selection on the row, the rows are displayed from the selected row. The rows above the selected rows are disappearing(F5 it come back) and the rows are available when there are more rows with vertical scroll bar(above the selected row, if we scroll up).

Displaying a report with 250 000 rows in BI Publisher 11.1.1.6 == very slow

I try to display a report with 250 000 rows in bi publisher 11.1.1.6.
Running the SQL Request in TOAD take 20s.
From bi publisher 11.1.1.6 this operation take more than 2 hour without result.
The temp file show an xml file which increase (53 M to 70M to 100 M)
I configure jvm (1.6_029) with the following parameters : Xms512m - Xmx2048 -XX:MaxPermSize=3072m
My configuration is the following :
REHL5 64bits
8G RAM
100G file system and 50 GB tmp file for bi publisher
4 CPU
Jdk Parameters:
Xms512m -Xmx2048m -XX:MaxPermSize=3072m -XX:UseParallelGC.
Total CPU usage : 25%
Live Threads : 85 threads
Used : 665 Mb
Commited : 908 Mb
GC time :
8.047 s on PS MarkSweep (3 collections)
8.625 s on PS Scavenge (242 collections)
Any idea to increase performance or other will be appreciate.

If you are generating a PDF output, select "PDF Compression" option in the properties. Ensure you reduce all the log levels to "Low". Ensure there are no (or minimal) calculations/formulas in the report template.

Display all rows (starting at row 1)

How can I create code (with or without the wizard) in Web Application Designer, that will force the table (analysis web item) to display all rows starting at row 1.
The user is initially presented with a table which is, say, limited to 5 lines at a time. Default scrolling / paging functionality is added, which allows them to page down 5 rows at a time.
I want to be able to provide a button which displays all the rows ... normally this would be done by setting BLOCK_ROW_SIZE to 0 if I am correct.
However, what I have found is that simply setting this parameter, displays all the rows, but from the existing row, so if the user had paged down once already, they are shown rows 6 till the end.
I have played with various combinations of DATA_ROW_FROM, DATA_ROW_TO and BLOCK_ROW_SIZE, and none of those combinations seem to work for me.
I would have thought setting the FROM row to 1, the TO row to 0 and the BLOCK size to 0 would do the trick, but that simply shows all the rows from the current position ... again, I want to go back to the first line and then show all.
Putting 2 commands in the button doesn't seem to work either, as the 2nd command seems to override the 1st command.
Any ideas?

Pie Chart Only Displays the Data of the First Row of the Table

I have a problem that the pie chart will not change when click on a second row or other rows on the table. It only displays the data of the first row of the table. How can I set up to make it reflect on any rows when I click the table? Please help, and I would very appreciate that.

Thanks a lot for your response. I have realized that the pie chart behaves that way, so I just use the filter to see the specific data that I want. Also, you can drag the row and drop it right at the first row to see the data in the pie chart.

Display radio button if number of rows in table equals 1

I'm having issues buy there maybe a simple script out there.
I have a table which can have up to four rows. If the table contains only one row, a radio button can be clicked to change the format/entry of cells within that row. I want to hide this radio button from a user if they have added more than one row to the table, and make it available again if they reduce the row count back to one.
I have everything else working fine (Radio buttons changing format of row, add/removing rows in the table using buttons, row count in first column)
Anybody got any ideas?

How to get the value of column from previous row to current row?

I am facing a critical problem in SQL query (for reporting purpose (COGNOS)). please reply to my query.
REQUIREMENT: i want to retrive value of a column (this is not a table column, this will be calculated based expression) from previous row to current row.
EXAMPLE:
TABLE NAME: i have to join multiple tables. so, i am not mentioning table names here.
DISPLAY COLUMNS in the report: item, loc, sku, beginval (not table column), endval (not table column, this will calculated based on some expressions), etc. Here, first time the value of BEGINVAL will be taken from some x column name of x table. ENDVAL will calculated based on the expression. For the next row onwards, BEGINVAL will become the value of ENDVAL and the value of ENDVAL will be calculated based on the expression and this expression uses the value of BEGINVAL.
my report will look like below.

in the above output, BEGINVAL and ENDVAL columns are not part of any table. they are alias column names.if you observe intially BEGINVAL will be assigned to some value, but from subsequent rows, BEGINVAL will become the ENDVAL of previous row.

problem description: in the above query, BeginBal and EndBal is what i am looking for. when i execute this query, oracle throwing an error saying that alias names can't be used as expressions. For the first row, the BeginBal should be the value sku.OH and for the subsequent rows, this value will be the previous row value of EndBal.

Hide disclose icon form ADF tree row depending on row data

Hello,
I've got an ADF tree based on recursive View Object. So basically we don't know how many tree levels are there, but depending on a row data we know that the row is a leaf and there will be no children rows.
But the disclose icon is there event though we definitely know it is currently useless.
So is there any way to hide the disclose icon from ADF tree(treetable) row depending on row data?

Great, it works.
The only thing is suggested style just makes the icon invisible, but it is still there and can be clicked.
I applied .hideDiscloseIcon af|treeTable::collapsed-icon-style
display: none;
}and there is no disclose button at all.
