Displaying total number of messages in Inbox

Using Mail in OS 10.3.9, the total number of messages in any selected mailbox was displayed just below the toolbar. This was very useful - when it got to around 800 I would know the time had come to archive some!
However, in Leopard (10.5.2) there doesn't seem to be any way to simply display just this total number.
Does anyone know of a way to display just the total?

How can I get Total Number of messages in an EDI Interchange

Hi All,
I am migrating a solution from Covast EDI to native BizTalk EDI and ran into an issue. In Covast when an Incoming interchange is debatched some of the properties like The total number of messages in an Interchange is saved into the XML of the debatched
message. I am trying to find this value in Native BizTalk EDI.
How can I determine this value? I only see the InterchangeSequenceNumber property which is only the sequence number of the a message in Interchange.

My first advice in situations like this is the double and triple check that this requirement still exists and it is driven
by the business. This is great opportunity to refactor some unnecessary complexity out of the solution if you identify it.
Assuming it is a valid and verified requirement, how you approach depends on the composition of the Interchange. Meaning, if you receive single ISA...IEA blocks with a single GS...GE, you can use the max of BTS.InterchangeSequenceNumber.
If you receive multiple ISA or GS's, it's a little different.

Error from libf4f.dll: Total number of messages waiting to be recorded has exceeded the limit

My core.log file keeps showing these errors everytime I start to stream. My streams are not viewable on PC's and only viewable on iOS devices.
Is there something wrong with the libf4f.dll file? I'm using FMS 4.5 on Windows 2003 Server.

There is a concept of Absolute Time Code which enables the encoders to publish the livestream based on absolute system time rather than starting the messages from timestamp 0 everytime you append to a recording.
I suspect you encoder is starting everytime from 0 timestamp but since the server already has recording till some time - say x, for the server these are backward timestamps and hence the continous warnings.
Also to safeguard FMS against such conditions and cause memory crashes, we only allow messages with backward timestamps to accumulate in the process queue upto a limit and then the recording is stopped. Thats why you are observing the errors -

Try to check your encoder settings for stream synchronization or ATC settings and enable them.

Old version displayed "total" number of songs at bottom of library window, where can I find that info. now

New iTunes version is not displaying "total" number of songs at the bottom of the library window. How do you find that information now?

OWA; Query number of messages in inbox

Hello all,
Is there a way, from Java, to ask the Exchange server how many messages are in a users' inbox and how many of them are new?
We want to write a simple text display iView that shows only the text 'Inbox #(<b></b>)', where '#' is number of messages in a users' inbox and '<b></b>' is the number of new messages there.
Any help is, of course, greatly appreciated.

Press the Menu key and click on Database sizes.
Scroll to your Messages entry for email, and it will list the size as something like 2314/1894k
The first number is the number of messages
You can see the same SMS, etc.

It is about Mail in Mavericks. Native Mavericks without no upgrades from previous osx versions.
Any bug is open regarding the display of all messages for given mailbox?
We are namely migrating data from Thunderbird to Mail.
We are doing this by exporting each Thunderbird message folders to a mailbox disk file.
Thunderbird shows the particular folder would include more more messages
than Mail indicates it after had import the mailbox file.
This issue applies to most of the message folders to be migrated from TB to Mail.
Data migration is conducted in two ways, first one: by fetching directly from Thunderbird profile directory where the
original mailbox files are included; second one: by exporting from TB to disk file using some TB extension.

Is it possible to limit number of messages in Inbox?

I was wondering if there is any way to limit the number of messages that show in your Mail inbox. Similar to how the iPhone limits it to 200...

You could set up a smart mailbox to only show 200 of the messages in your inbox, with priority given to those most recently received...

Hi, In obiee 11g, the pagination will be 1-25. Is there any possiblity in obiee to show the total rows count next to pagination. Ex: if the result contains 120 rows. it should display after the pagination

For the loop block option, your answer is passing message count in different message type is best option !
I really do not know why SAP does not deliver a build-in function to return the number of items in multiline element at run time ?
Now the question for the second option: ForEach block:
When I leave current line of block properties empty, the compile does not pass
I have to input a another element (Var_Cur) in current line
Inside my block, I have one send step, it will send Var_Dest[Index], followed by a container operation step to increment Index by 1.
With above setup, I compile it, compile passed, but it says:
"Container Element Var_Cur in Step Block1 is initialized but not used"
then I added another containter operation step in block:
Var_Cur = Var_Dest[Index]
I modified send step to send Var_Cur rather than Var_Dest.
Up to now, I can compile it without any warnings.
But when I send message to IE, the message pass pipe line, but it seems does not pass the BPE.
When I go to SXI_CACHE, to check the return code for my Integration process is 0, means no error.
But my message does not reach my target system.
Where do you think I made wrong ?

Hi, I tried another logic. I took value from Standard button, in which B2B application display total items and amount and I hide this field, to another text element.
Now I Am breaking that value in words and stored them in array and then trying to display that array with particular number which contains total item and amount through Java Script on Focus.
But problem here is, It is not getting updated automatically I have to click on new text files to trigger Onfocus event. How I can achieve effect like as soon as Standard button changes it's value which is now hidden filed my new text box should update automatically.
