Displaying values in a new page

I have a java script code. At the end when the user clicks on the button after entering the values in the 3rd page, the values shall be displayed in a new page. Please help me out with the final approach:
<html>
<head>
<script language="LiveScript">
function WinOpen() {
if (document.form1.cap.value == "")
alert("Enter value in text box");
return;
msg=open("","DisplayWindow","toolbar=no,directories=no,menubar=no, scrollbars=yes");
msg.document.write("<HTML><HEAD><TITLE>Yo!</TITLE></HEAD>");
msg.document.write("<CENTER><h1><B>This is really cool!</B></h1></CENTER>");
msg.document.write('<BODY><form name="form2">');
for(var i =0; i < document.form1.cap.value; i++)
msg.document.write("<INPUT type=text name=tbAlphaNumeric>");
msg.document.write("<br>");
msg.document.write('<input type="button" name="Button2" value="Steal" onClick="javascript:window.opener.WinShow();">');
msg.document.write('</form></BODY></HTML>');
function WinShow() {
msg=open("","DisplayWindow","toolbar=no,directories=no,menubar=no, scrollbars=yes");
msg.document.write("<HTML><HEAD><TITLE>Great!</TITLE></HEAD>");
msg.document.write("<CENTER><h1><B>Display of second page text elements!</B></h1></CENTER>");
for(var j =0; j < document.form1.cap.value; j++)
msg.document.write(document.form2.tbAlphaNumeric[j].value);
msg.document.write("<br>");
msg.document.write('</form></BODY></HTML>');
</script>
</head>
<body>
<form name="form1">
<INPUT type= "text" name=cap>
<input type="button" name="Button1" value="Push me" onClick="WinOpen()">
</form>
</body>
</html>

This is a Javascript related question, not a Java related question. Those two languages have nothing to do with each other but a slight similar name and syntax. Although the most Java web developers also understand Javascript, it is not the intention of those Java forums to discuss about Javascript. The forums should not be polluted with unrelated questions.

  • How to display values of DFF on page.

    I have created an item on the page of the type flex.But it does not displays the DFF values on page.
    I have checked that the values are properly inserted into the VO instance used by flex item.
    What else i need to do to display the DFF segments on page? Am I missing something here?
    I have set the flex properties as follow :
    View Instance - <View Object name> (I checked that the values are being set correctly in this VO)
    Rendered - True
    application short name - <application short name>
    name - <name of the DFF >
    type - descriptive
    Read only - false
    Display context field - true
    Thanks in Advance,
    Tanveer

    Hi all , I found this posting by Jon
    ---Jon text bellow
    I had the same problem a couple of weeks back in that we couldn't get context sensitive flex fields (Req Line) from displaying on the non-cat request page. The standard FlexField item does not render anything but Global segments. After raising a TAR the response was to disable the standard DFF page item and create a new FlexField item as follows.
    1) Login into iProcurement ( enable the profiles related to do Personalization )
    Goto the Page where you would like to display this DFF . You need to make sure that this region is based on
    View Object : PoRequisitionLinesVO .
    Click on the Personalization link and create a item with below values :
    Item Style = Flex
    ID = Procurement_Card
    Appl Short Name = PO
    Display Context Field = True
    name = PO_REQUISITION_LINES
    Prompt = Procurement Card --- you need to make sure that this matches to your Prompt in
    Context Field above .
    Read Only = False
    Rendered = True
    Type = Descriptive
    View Instance = PoRequisitionLinesVO
    This worked however we soon found that there was a major flaw in that the DFF's were only rendered when there were items in the shopping cart. That is that the VO was instantiated.
    After much reluctance Oracle raised a bug for this: 5169570 which we have been told to monitor.
    Very frustrating that this has not been implemented correctly!!!
    Jon.
    it was really helpfull but my DFF still dont dispalyed on non-catalog request form . how I can verify what view instance Region is using
    View Instance = PoRequisitionLinesVO
    sorry question might seems stupit but I am very new to OAF and iProcurement
    Thanks Artur

  • How can I stop firefox from checking add-ons and displaying the What's new page each time I launch it

    Since upgrading to the latest version, I have viewed read and interacted with everything on the What's new page. I have done this a number of times but the page is still opened each time I launch Firefox. In addition it shows my homepage in a second tab.
    Prior to opening Firefox it checks for add-ons.

    hello Michells, this will likely be caused by the user.js file in your profile folder.
    go to the firefox ''menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information'', click on ''profile folder/show folder'' and close all firefox windows afterwards. a windows explorer window should open up - in there delete the file named '''user.js''' and restart the browser afterwards.

  • Display Text Items in New Page

    I am currently designing a Content Area for our new site and have come across a problem which I really need to find a way round.
    I am adding HTML articles as text items into the Content Area. For the interface, I am using a Portal page and publishing the Content Area as a portlet onto this page. I need to do it this way rather than exposing the actual Content Area page as our organisation needs to use an external style sheet on the page for accessibility purposes.
    What I need to be able to do is when a user clicks on the link for the item, it will open up inside a blank page inside the same browser window, preferably with a template added to it. I know there is actually an option to set the item to display inside a blank page but this 'blank' page is actually the Content Area page and this uses the internal Portal style.
    There doesn't seem to be any way of specifying your own template for a Content Area page which is pretty much what I need to do.
    Thanks in advance for any help!
    Richard

    Erik:
    Very good to know! I ended up logging an SR after all, and included your post to help guide the support rep.
    I'm pretty sure it's a server side problem, because the MIME type is served up incorrectly. IE seems to handle text/plain encoded that are actually HTML more gracefully than Firefox.
    (As for handling anything else gracefully, well... that's another story :-) )
    Thanks!

  • Problem with new page triggering in ADOBE Forms

    Hi all,
                 I am workin on a Purchase Order adobe form. I have a requirement to dispay Other stipulation text after completion of all the information. The text should be displayed on a fresh new page. I can able to display the text on new page, but if the text is not there then its displaying a blank page. How to avoid this blank page.
    Can anybody please help to solve this issue
                          Thanks.
                          Ranganadh.

    It is because you are calling a NEW-PAGE in the main window and you have not mentioned which should be the next page. For that you need to Go to SE71==> Pages==>Standard Attributes==> Mention the <b>Next page</b>
    Assign the same for both the pages !

    Please mark points if you got solution.

    Hi,
      I think there is no way to do this,  atleast for Adobe Designer v.7.0. But if you know XML or java scripting you can try that. I dont have much knowledge on it.
       However there is one way. Add dummy records in the table so that there  are mulitple of 50 records for each employee. I have also heard that adobe designer 7.1 has some extra options. Please try that if possible.
      Please let me know too if you find anything out. It will help me too..

  • Issue in New Page Display in a SAP Script

    Hi All
             I have applied a line count logic in my SAP script, such that if lines are more than 32, Sub Total is displayed on this page(Sub Total needs 4 lines to display) and from next page,another heading starts. (Total around 39 lines can be displayed  in one page)
    Sub Total Text contains 2 lines of text, and 2 blank lines after it (Total 4 lines)
    Now, if number of lines is around 36, Sub Total, doesnt fully display in this page and the 2 blank lines gets passed to the next page. And I am also firing a new page from my code. As a result, the 2nd page comes fully blank and the data is now being displayed at the 3rd page. How can I prevent the 2nd page from coming blank ??
    I am using Function Module 'CONTROL_FORM' (or WRITE_FORM) to fire a new page.
    I do not want to apply a line count logic for this as this wont be fool proof !!
    I hope I have made the issue clear. Kindly help !!
    Thanks

    Hi,
    otherwise u can do one thing: U call the PERFORM in the SCRIPT FORM passing the &PAGE&(Contains the current Page No) value to it. take a loal variable and pass the PAGE value to the local variable and check for every line whether both &PAGE& & local varaiable are same, if not then set the FLAG value to 'X' (it means the new page has triggered).
    Eg:
    In Script:
    /:  lv_tabix = lv_tabix + 1.
    /: PERFORM new_page_flag IN PROGRAM ZXXXXX
    /: USING &PAGE&
    /: USING &lv_tabix&

  • Displaying output in new pages

    Hi Frds
    In my ABAP report output i wants to display 20 lines per pages and heading should be common to all pages.Kindly tell me how to do to ?
    Thanks
    Pari Vendhan.R

    REPORT <Report Name> NO STANDARD PAGE HEADING
               LINE-COUNT <No of Lines> LINE-SIZE <No of Chars>.
    In your case line count is 20 .
    This addition specifies the page length for the basic list of the program to page_lines lines and fills the system field sy-linct with this value. If the LINE-COUNT is not specifed, and if page_lines are less than or equal to 0 or greater than 60,000, then the page length is set internally to 60,000. This setting overwrites the passed value of the like-named LINE-SIZE addition to the statement SUBMIT and can be overwritten during list creation with the like-named LINE-COUNT addition to the statement NEW-PAGE.
    If you optionally specify a number for footer_lines, a corresponding number of lines are reserved for the page footer, which can be described in the event block END-OF-PAGE.
    You must specify page_lines and footer_lines as numeric literals.
    Notes
    For screen lists, you should use the standard value since, as a rule, page breaks defaulted through LINE-COUNT are not adjusted to the window size.
    You should also use the standard value for print lists, so that you can still select the page size on a printer-specific basis. A print list should be created in such a way so that it can handle every page size.
    Specifying a fixed line count is only useful for form-type lists with a fixed page layout. Here, however, you should always check whether such forms can be created by other means, such as SAPScript forms.
    Example
    The page length of the basic list is set to 65 lines, eight of which are reserved for the page footer. The line width is 132 characters.
    REPORT z_myreport LINE-COUNT 65(8) LINE-SIZE 132.
    LINE-SIZE width
    Effect
    This addition specifies the line width of the basic list and details list of the program to width characters, and sets the system field sy-linsz to this value. The line width determines the number of characters in the line buffer as well as the number of columns in the list displayed. The value width must be a positive numeric literal. The maximum line width is 1,023 characters.
    When the LINE-SIZE is not specified, the line width of the basic list is set to a standard width based on the window width of the current Dynpro, but is at least as wide as a standard size SAP window. For the standard width, the contents of sy-linsz is 0. The LINE-SIZE overwrites the value of the like-named LINE-SIZE addition to the statement SUBMIT and can be overwritten during list creation with the like-named LINE-SIZE addition to the statement NEW-PAGE.
    Note
    The current maximum line width is stored in the constants slist_max_linesize of the type group SLIST. Also defined there is a type slist_max_listline of type c with length slist_max_linesize.
    To print header use the event TOP-OF-PAGE.
    This statement defines an event block whose event is triggered by the ABAP runtime environment during the creation of a list. This occurs when a new page is started - that is, immediately before the first line in a new page is to be output. All list outputs that take place in the event block are placed below the standard page header of the list. You cannot output more lines than are available in the page within the event block. The NEW-PAGE statement is ignored within this event block.

           write inside CODE  as Below:-
                 CLEAR: w_flag.
                 ON CHANGE OF w_final-sortf.
                   w_flag  = 'X'.
                  ENDON.
       d) Create one COMMAND Under CODE line created above.

  • Blank page is getting displayed in SAPScript when using NEW-PAGE option.

    Hello Experts,
    We have created a customized SAPScript and in this separate Script is generated based on the currency(WAERS).
    So if we have 3 different currencies, then 3 pages will be created with there details, but we are using NEW-PAGE option in
    MAIN window to separate the pages and after 3rd page it is displaying 4th page also with footer details.
    So how can we avoid last blank page which is getting displayed?

    Hi isha.walia ,
       This issue can be solved by two ways. Please take the one which suits you better.
    Solution 1: If  you need to generate separate prints for different currencies.
    In the driver program, build an internal table for different currencies which needed to be printed. (Using delete adjacent duplicates, build the internal table with exact number of currencies to be printed). Remove the NEW-PAGE option and call the script/form inside the loop. Do the necessary conditions to manipulate the print.
    Advantages of above solution: Better control on spools if needed.
    Solution 2:  Get the count of the number of pages in a variable. Inside the print loop, increment a flag counter. Check it against the variable which contains the number of pages to be printed at the end of each page. Exit the loop when the number of pages to be printed is reached.
    Advantage of above solution: Simple to write the program.

  • Display value in footer on only last page:

    I have the same footer on 3 of my master pages. Depending on data, my form may grow to several pages.
    The first 2 master pages display exactly once and the third page grows to no. of pages depending on input data.
    Is it possible to script some event so that the textfield on footer displays only on last page?
    I have seen examples of xfa.layout.pageCount() and xfa.layout.page(this), and tried the conditions on if last page =  currentpage, show/hide  the value of text field in the footer.
    If there are 10 pages, system should display the text value in the footer only in the 10th page. If the form got only 2 pages, it should display only on second page.
    I tired all kinds of scripting with pagecount and page(this). But the script is effecting all the pages irrespective of first/ last page.
    I will be greatful if you can put the sample code/ form on how to do this.
    Thanks,
    Krishna

    Hi Paul,
       Thank you for the logic.
    Actually I tried this.
    I have some fields in the 3 footers which got some explicit binding. If I put some value in the first page footer in this field, and if the logic (current page != no.of pages) , the value is getting reflected in all pages without checking for further pages.
    I figured out what the actual problem is. It's not with page logic. But with the externally binded fields. If we put the calculated field for one footer, the form will keep the same value without taking from external binded xml. I tried it in a alternate way by getting these values using calculated fields and that worked for me.

  • New Page in ALV for Value Change on a Field

    Is it possible to trigger a new page while prinitng from ALV whenever a value changes in a column.
    Thank you,
    Shashi Reddy

    Hi,
    Yes it is possible to add page breaks on a particular column while previewing/printing from ALV.
    Declare a structure like
    DATA:  gs_print    type lvc_s_prnt.
    and before calling set_table_for_first_display, write
    gs_print-grpchgedit = 'X'.
    Now pass this structure to the method as follows:
        call method grid->set_table_for_first_display
             exporting
               is_print         = gs_print
               is_layout        = gs_layout
               is_variant       = gs_variant
               i_save           = 'A'
               i_default        = 'X'
             changing
               it_fieldcatalog = gt_fieldcat[]
               it_outtab        = g_t_outtab[]
               it_sort          = gt_sort[].
    Run the report. Now when you are in the print preview mode, press the sort ascending or descending button on toolbar (without selecting a column). A dialog box appears asking for sort order. Add the required field, from the available list on right hand side, on which you want a page-break. In the last column titled NG of this sort order dialog box, write * for page feed or UL for line feed. Press Copy button to see the effect.
    Hope this helps.

  • New Page in ALV GRID display.

    HI Experts,
    I have a requirement of displaying top of page and corresponding detailed records for specific combination of top of page(say plant,material,batch etc). Again for the next combination I need repeated header and detail list.
    I guess I have to use NEW PAGE to get this.
    However, I am using the REUSE ALV GRID DISPLAY for which the sort table does not display as required.
    Could you please help me  on this?
    In addition could you please suggest how to use NEW page in report without using OOPS concept.
    Please reply.
    Thanks,
    Suchi.

    Hi,
    1.Put a pushbutton  on the ALV o/p say 'Next'.
    2. Now in the user comand routine you have to change the  table contents u supply to reuse_alv_commentary write, also fill the o/p internal table with data corresponding to ur specific combination and supply to reuse_alv_grid_display.
    3.In the user comand routine u have  slis_selfield.
    4.It contains a component refresh, mark it as 'X'.( slis_selfield-refresh = 'X'.)
    5.No need of new page or calling reus_alv_grid_display number of times.
    Regards,
    Phani.
