Distributed txn error

Hi ,
I have been getting distributed txn error : "ORA-02046: distributed transaction already begun ORA-02063: preceding line from cost_dblink "--> it can last for few hours before the report can be accessed and i am clueless of what really happened except that it's due to dblink
i have created a views that get data from several table including a view via dblink from another database
i only encountered this error when i access the view via a JSP report but when i select direct from SQLPLUS it is ok
i have checked dba_2pc_pending as per advise from some internet link and there's no record
1 - is that any resolution to this ?
2 - i have read somehting only setting the transaction to READ ?? is this possible in a view or the jsp calling program need to specify it and the commands to be used in jsp if possible
really need some help here

hi ,
but i do notice that there's many INACTIVE sessions related to the JSP-related accounts.
are these sessions there because of connection pooling or the program/database did not handle the closing of the jsp programs properly ? what should be done abt those sessions ?
in another database where i have the priviledge to kill sessions , when the distributed txn error occurred , the jsp report managed to work after killing those INACTIVE jsp sessions.
could you advise

Distributed Protocol Error?

Two of my co-workers are receiving the following message, when attempting to run a Crystal Report.
40003: IBM CLI Driver DB2 SQL3002N Execution failed because of a Distributed Protocol Error that will affect the successful execution of subsequent commands and SQL statements: Reason Code 220E SQL State 58009
This report has been used in InfoView, and another co-worker and myself can run this report without any problem.
We checked the product version and version number. The only differences between looks to be desktop users and laptop users.
Any suggestions?

This is to let all know that I got around my problem. The exact problem was the size of the list which is in the query.
I am connecting to DB2 using the jdbc-odbc bridge. So I am guessing, there is a limit on the DB2 side for accepting a string value through the bridge. (A similar query with a big list as this ran smoothly in Informix. That is why I think the limit is on te DB2 side).
I split this big list into smaller sublists and ran the query against each sublist and it went perfect.
Anybody who would like to add to this, to explain more, pls do so.

i have two server and I installed SAP ERP 6.0 (Application ABAP) on two server base on Distribute System model
Server A : I installed Global Host Preparation and Central Instance
Server B : I installed Database Instance

Distributed Cache errors

On my application Server I am getting periodic entries under the General category
"Unable to write SPDistributedCache call usage entry."
The error is every 5 minutes exactly. It is followed by:
Calling... SPDistributedCacheClusterCustomProvider:: BeginTransaction
Calling... SPDistributedCacheClusterCustomProvider:: GetValue(object transactionContext, string type, string key
Calling... SPDistributedCacheClusterCustomProvider:: GetStoreUtcTime.
Calling... SPDistributedCacheClusterCustomProvider:: Update(object transactionContext, string type, string key, byte[] data, long oldVersion).
Sometimes this group of calls succeeds without an error and the sequence continues maybe for 3 iterations every 5 minutes. Then the error
"Unable to write SPDistributedCache call usage entry.""
happens again.
My Distributed Cache Service is running on my Application Server and on my web front end.
All values are default.
Any idea why this is happening intermittently?

From the error message, check whether super accounts were setup correctly.

Distributed transaction error in WL 7.1

I'm trying to set-up distributed transactions for weblogic. We have a requirement
to go against 2 different databases within a single transaction.
My config.xml looks like:

BUDGET PLAN VALUE AND DISTRIBUTABLE VALUE ERROR

We have user Investment management for Budgeting process. We have been using this for last 5 years. After creating the AR and assigning them to the Budget program, we use IM34 to do the rollup of the plan values. After that to allocate the Planned values as budget value, we run the transcation code IMCCP1. For past all years this has been smooth, We found today that the program for 2011 has error as follows
When we did the distribution in jan 2011

Distributed Processing Error...

I am trying to run distributed processing through compressor and I keep running into the same error each time. I get "Quicktime Error: -120" and it gives me a different HOST each time. I did a little troubleshooting to narrow down where the problem is and it allows me to use distributed processing on the appropriate cluster with everything EXCEPT H.264.
I can do MPEG-2, AIFF, Dolby Digital, etc. very quickly and easily with no problems at all. As soon as I try to do a compression to H.264, it gives me the Quicktime Error: -120 message and says it fails.
Does anyone know what I can do fix this problem?
I have Mac OS X (10.4.9), Final Cut Studio 2, with Compressor 3 and QMaster 3. Thank you for your help.

I am trying to distribute a form to other contacts in my email list, but when I go to Forms-->Distribute Forms, an Adobe error window pops up with the message, "Acrobat cannot open the file for distribution." I have distributed these same forms multiple times before in the same way, and am not sure what the error is. Anyone have ideas I can try? Thanks!

If using check boxes, you need to give each a different field name if you want them to behave independent of one another. You can create a group where at most on in the group can be selected, similar to a radio button group, by giving each the same field name but different export value.
For #2, it depends on the details of what you want to do. A PDF form can be set up to submit to a web server or to initiate an email with the form data for the entire form attached to the email. If you want Reader users to be able to save the filled-in form and/or submit the entire filled-in PDF, the form has to be Reader-enabled in Acrobat.
For #3, please provide the exact error message.

Distributed Builds errors

Hello,
Sometimes when try compile project via Distributed Builds
have error - internal compiler error: Segmentation fault
have 4 machines with one config:
- mac mini 3.1
- mac os 10.6.2
- xcode 3.2.1 + iphone sdk 3.1.3
if build it several time, then building is done, and app is run
at single build - all ok

Distributing forms Error

I am having difficulting distributing a pdf form. After I have selected the email to send it to a "Send Mail" pop up box comes up asking how I would like to send the email?. Once I type in my own email address I receive an error that Authentification failed and something about retrying after I verify that the system time matches with the current server time.
Please help.

It may be that Acrobat.com access was removed from your Acrobat install if this was packaged internally by your IT organization. Does this occur on all copies of Acrobat?

How to rollback a MQ transaction in distributed transactions..

Hi frnds,
i am doing distributed txn from a java code in which i am writing the msg strign on MQ and doing some DB updates...
the code works fine in case user transaction get committed successfully. also when exception is caused the DB updates gets rolled back but MSG on MQ doesnt get rolled back from Queue.
i am using a two phase connection from WAS 5.1 also the MQ properties in WAS is XA compatible..

In my case... I am using a synchronus bpel process which inserts data into six different tables.. so i am using 6 db adapters for inserting into the tables... There is no dependency in between these tables... If any of the table is droped or removed then the transaction has to fail and the data has to be rolled back... and i have succeeded in rolling back the data.... But if all the tables are available for inserting the data... the problem is the data is not getting populated in the last table and i can c the instance in the bpel console... i dont know where the problem is???
Can u suggest a solution?

error message "Definition CRM_BTX_ADD_NEW_FIELDS is of the type 'TSK' and should run on an external system. This is not permissible. Only definitions of type 'SEQ' may be created for external systems."
plz helep me out
and i have few doubts
1 in web ui to display these new fields do we need to write a program
2. new field values are stored in table do weneed to create any table ?
3. do we need to write any program so that the values will be stored in tht table?

- Check SAP Market Place for any notes on "CRM_BTX_ADD_NEW_FIELDS"
1 in web ui to display these new fields do we need to write a program
- No need to write any program to display new fields in WEB UI. Using the EEWB will automatically create code behind the screens. All new fields created will be available in base table (example: for business partner - BUT000). You can explore the fields available functionality in WEB UI to populate them

- No, EEWB will automatically creates customized structure in code behind the screens
3. do we need to write any program so that the values will be stored in tht table?
- No, I don't know how to add values to the particular field(s) but sure that you don't need to write any program to store the values in customized tables

Can not commit distributed transaction

Hi
We get error "can not commit distributed transaction" during
commit the transaction in which we have create NEW entities.
Update-transactions on existing enitites work correct.
Our problem is probably due to seauences for object IDs: we are using oracle native sequences:
<sequence name="SeqErrRecObj" strategy="nontransactional" factory-class="native(Sequence=BUYING.SEQ_ERRRECOBJ)"/>
As soon we use strategy="nontransactional" in managed environment,
we get "can not commit distributed transaction" error by creating new instance.
Switching to strategy="transactional" seems to eleminate this problem.
I did not found any hint in about this in documentation.
Can some one confirm our assumption that using nontransactional oracle sequences in manageg (WebLogic 9.2) environment
is responsible for "can not commit distributed transaction" error and "strategy=transactional" is the right solution.
Probably we are completely wrong and tehre is some other explanation for this error ?

Hi Andre,
It sounds like you have not configured a non-transactional datasource. See section "4.2.1. Managed and XA DataSources" in the <kodo>/docs/jdo/pdf/manual.pdf. Connection is for the managed datasource and Connection2 for the non-transactional.

Ora 600 and ora 7445 error in oracle 10g r2

hi all,
we are using Oracle 10g r2.
os is windows 2003 server,
ram is 4 gb.
front end is java .
we got a below mentioned errors.

and ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [ACCESS_VIOLATION] [unable_to_trans_pc] [PC:0x61F04AC9] [ADDR:0xC] [UNABLE_TO_READ] []
and Error 0 in kwqmnpartition(), aborting txn errors.
for aug 3 11.42.47 we got a ora 600 error after that through front end (java) users can't able to connect the database.the not able to executed the query session disconnected error.
what is reason for theis error . how it will rectifiy.?

As this is your PRODUCTION system THEN_ The best help to offer in case of ORA-600, and ORA-7445 is to open SR with metalink. Submit with the SR the following
1- Alert log
2- Trace files (in ur case e:\oracle\product\10.2.0\admin\orcl\udump\orcl_ora_6012.trc: and e:\oracle\product\10.2.0\em_2\rdbms\trace\orcl_ora_4756.trc:)
3- Describe what was happening when you had these errors.
Try to avoid free help when you have ORA-600 and ORA-07445. This errors could be becuase of BUGS. Oracle Support will know this from the call stack in the trace file.
Then Do your best to patch 10.2.0.4 and the latest CPU patch.
