DMEE - How to supress tags with no values – Using Module exit

Hi,
I have created a payment format tree using transaction DMEE The problem is, when I don’t have
any values in a tag, I don’t want to display the tag for that particular node.
I am using Exit module mapping procedure, so I can’t add any condition. (See attached image)
Could you help me , please?

Can you exactly tell me the condition that you used?
I am using some exit function module to populate my node.
So what should be the condition that I should put there to chck that the value fetched from the exit FM is not blank?

I have created a payment format tree using transaction DMEE and the values are getting generated as required. But the problem is, when i dont have any values in a given node, I dont want to display the tag for that particular node.
For example,
say, for my format tree is as below:
PmtInf
--> PmtTpInf
--> Cd
Say, Cd has a value of 2, in XML it is displayed as <Cd>2</Cd>.
When Cd is empty, it is displayed as <Cd/>.
In case I dont have value in the node, I dont want to display this tag.
Any idea on how to achieve this?
We tried using the field "Status" in the Attributes by setting it as 2. [ 2 - Optional: if object has no value, object is skipped].
Still it doesnt work, and the empty tag gets displayed in the XML file.
Any help is highly appreciated.

How can i achieve it using JAVA mapping?

Not well-formed XML is only possible by Java Mapping. Please use below replace logic in Java map.

Requirement : Creating a counter with char ( accounting doucment number) in the query by using exception aggregation & summarize on totals with CKF.
Note : i dont have any keyfigure called counter in my infoprovider

I came to know that create new CKF & FV with replacemtn path with IO(Account document number) & use FV in CKF. is this true & works??

By createin zckf--> fv choosing replacement path with IO as reference and key.
then excepetion aggreation chosen : counter for all detailed values & check the checkbox calucate after aggreagation.

You might need to download the latest driver for your Dell Latitude(D600). PAN(personal Area Networking or Piconet) is just one of the profiles(device support/services) of bluetooth(SIG). Blue Soleil are only for that blutooth that uses that chips, like that of widcomm. Toshiba/HP laptops have updates for their bluetooth I can't see why Dell wouldn't have also. And check if the driver,is one that is known to work with Nokia phones.

Crystal Reports with BEx Query using Custom Exit Variable

Hi,
We have BW BEx Query using Customer User Exit variable to derive the Fiscal Week for Last Year (called it VAR2) based on another user input variable Current Fiscal Week (called it VAR1).
VAR2 is derived from VAR1 in CMOD via some codings and thus it DOES NOT have the "Variable is Ready for Input" flag ticked in the BEx. VAR1 is user input variable, so it has "Variable is Ready for Input" flag ticked in the BEx.
When we create a Crystal Reports with the BEx Query using variable VAR2, and when we run it we got an error message saying "Failed to execute query; '[]<java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: No Selection State Support!ZP_MI_LYPUBWEEK>'. Redesign your query or contact the data source maintainer to solve the problem". (note: ZP_MI_LYPUBWEEK is VAR2 in this case).
Could anyone please assist? Surely, CR supports BEx customer user exit variables like the above, right?. I also refer to the forum below as it seems to have a similar issue (except mine with an error message), but it does not provide a solution in it.

We have the SAP Crystal Reports for Enterprise XI4.0 Version 14.0.0. Not sure if SP0 or other SP, got to check with Basis Team later.
We tried that "mandatory" option and did not work either.
Anyway, SAP has now come back again saying it is something they will fix it in next release/version. We got a phone call from them and a reply below to our OSS.

How to set an attribute of a HTML tag with a value in the Servlet

I have a HTML page and a Servlet.
The HTML page sends a request to the Servlet.
The Servlet has to read the contents of the HTML page. When the Servlet encounters the body tag it should set the bgcolor attribute of the body tag with a string(For eg.a string called color with a value blue) in the servlet.
After doing this the Servlet has to update the original HTML page with the changes (in the body tag).
I need a help on this.

you could get what you want to do by using a Java Server Page instead of both a HTML page and a Servlet.
I should code something like this:

XQuery Mapper - leave out tags with empty values, how to?

I am using the XQueryMapper to map 2 XML schemas and get an output for a Webservice but I am unable to get rid off the tag elements that are empty (i.e. there is no content within the tag).
For example:
If my output is:
<customer>
<first_name>John</first_name>
<last_name></last_name>
<title></title>
<company>1BRN</company>
<customer>
What I would like to obtain is:
<customer>
<first_name>John</first_name>
<company>1BRN</company>
<customer>
What do you have to do to avoid that? If I do NOT use XQuery then that happens as a default behaviour.

I found the solution to the problem. To avoid getting tags with no content the way to do it is defining properly your schema. Just adding minOccurs="0" if the element is optional, when it returns with no content, it does not come up in the output.
<xs:element name="order_type" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" type="xs:string"/>
XQuery builds different constructs behind the scenes depending how your elements are defined.

How to pass tag name and value dynamically in the output of PCo notification?

I have a requirement to develop such a scenario where there can be multiple no of tags in PCo (Say 10) but there will be single notification to push the tag name when the value got changed and the changed value to MII. for any value change for any of the tag, the notification will be trigger. So As per my knowledge I have to pass the tag name and value dynamically in the "output" tab of the notification. But need your support to find out how to pass them dynamically.

Hi Suman/Jeedesh,
As per Pco notification, it will trigger whenever any of the tag value changes in Agent instance subscription items.
For above issue, My suggestion
1. Create DB table name TAGLIST with 200 tags as rows in columns (Tagname, TagValue)
2. Based on notification trigger, create a transaction and update values w.r.t TagNames in above table
3. Next time, when notification trigger with fresh value for any of the tag, cross check with existing TagName with Value and update in DB table.
4. And in the mean time, send those Tag details vie mail trigger or as per requirement
Instead of creating 200 notification, above is a just alternate way suggestion to achieve dynamic tag value change notification.

How to display characteristics with filterd values in WebReports

Hi
we use webreporting (BI 7.0) for our endusers and have designed a very simple webtemplate. All the characteristics you can see in the "selection window" are displayed in a header section with the values set for each variable. Due to the simplicity of the template we do not want to display all characteristics in the header with all possible filtered values set on any charateristic which are available on the report.
There is a standard webitem to display these filtered values but we can not use it as it is too large.
Is it possible to change the apperance of a characteristic (make it bold, or red, or underline if a filter is set) so that the user can see that he have set a filter on any characteristic?
If not, is it possible to simply display any text on the webtemplate indicating that a filter has been set?
Any Ideas?

How to bring fields with no values into workbook..?

Hi Gurus,
We have a query, which is filtered with some 60 GL Accounts. Some of these GL account has no values or activity since long back. But we need to display it in the report for some reasons. Since it doesnu2019t have any value, its not coming up in the report. Only the accounts with values are coming up.
Is there any way I can bring these accounts in the report with 0 as values...? Any help is highly appreciated.

there are two ways:
1) first you update in the infocube all values from gl_account.
=> your data volume grown up very much.
2) in the query you create a structure with all values from gl_account.
