DMEE tree format tab delimited - How?

All
I have to configure (trx DMEE) a 'data medium exchange' format that is going to be used for outgoing payments.
One of the requirements is that it has to be 'tab delimited'. On the tab 'Format attributes' in trx DMEE you specifiy if fields have fixed length or that fields are separated by a delimiter. Additionally you specifiy what the delimiter is ..
Does someone know how I have to specifiy that the delimiter is the 'tab'-character?

I'm almost done with my tree format in tranx DMEE to use it with the Payment Medium Workbench. I've activated my tree and it seems fine, but when I try to test iT I dont get the Data output dialog box anymore (in the begining i did). Why could this be? It should at least show the constant fields...

WTRE DMEE Tree Format File For France (Withholding Tax for France)

Hello,
I have to implement withholding tax for France on SAP 4.6C environment
I would like to generate and to send a file to administration
I m using generic withholding tax program RFIDYYWT but in DMEE tree transaction i see only one format of file : IDWTFILE_UK_CIS36E for withholding tax
I know that theres a format of file for France : IDWTFILE_FR_DAS2
But is it possible to use it with SAP4.6c version ?
And how can I install this file format for France (steps in customizing , ossnote to apply ?????)

Withholding tax is calculated and posted to the appropriate withholding tax accounts at different stages, depending on the legal requirements in each country. As a rule, withholding tax is posted at the same time that the payment is posted, in other words the outgoing payment (Accounts Payable) or incoming payment (Accounts Receivable), is reduced by the withholding tax amount.
In certain countries, such as Brazil, the Philippines, and Spain, withholding tax can or must be posted when the invoice is posted. This means that the amount receivable or payable is reduced by the withholding tax amount.
Extended withholding tax supports both concepts.
The key concept in extended withholding tax is the distinction between withholding tax type and withholding tax code. While withholding tax types represent basic calculation rules, specific features of these rules - in particular the percentage rate -
are represented by the withholding tax code. You can define any number of withholding tax codes for a given withholding tax type.
If a particular transaction requires more than one kind of withholding tax, this is covered in the SAP System by defining more than one withholding tax type.
When entering a line item, you can enter withholding tax data for each of these withholding tax types.

4. Formula for Ex. Withholding tax calculation
5. Assign Ex. Withholding tax types to Company code
6. Activate Ex. Withholding tax
8. Create a G/L a/C for Ex. Withholding tax
9. Define A/C for Ex. Withholding tax (DBWW)
10. Make changes in Vendor master (XK02)
11. Maintain Company Code Settings:
Path: IMG -> Logistic -> General -> Taxes on goods movement -> India -> Maintain company code settings
12. Activate country version for specific fiscal year position
Path: IMG -> FA -> -> **** -> Taxes on sales purchases -> Basic Setting -> India -> Activate country specific for fiscal year position

how the same DMEE file format contains different nodes ?
please share your thoughts, and if anyone created new DMEE file format, please share how to start create it.

the DMEE file which you are refering to is MT940 format (guess)
basically dmee file is divided in header, transaction and footer format.
what you see 20: , 57:, are called as tags. which are created within nodes. these tags are created across header, transaction and footer information.

To import addresses, need format of tab delimited file

I am trying to import addresses from my G3 PB Mozilla App. I exported addresses on G3 to both ldif and tab-delimited files and then attached to an email message which I sent to myself. I received email on Mac mini, but the 2 files showed up inline, not as attachments. I copied the ldif portion to a text file; ditto for tab-delimited. I tried importing into Address Book, but got message that format was not valid.
Can't I just edit the tab-delimited file in TextEdit, save as RTF, and get Address Book to recognize the data?

OBIEE 11.1.1.6.12 - value modification during export in tab delimited format

we have noticed unproper value modification during export in tab delimited format.
Please find example below:
The proper value is 24150170000011615 (it is state register number of enterprise).
The wrong value is 24150170000011600.

The bigger picture is as follows:
I have a button on my report that essentially should download the output of report to tab delimited text file. This button is integrated with a custom built class which has a main method. When I click on the button, the logic written in the main method gets executed.
In this method I generate my internal table and pass to cl_gui_frontend_services=>gui_download method with parameters mention above.
I try debugging but every thing seems to be working correct when sy-subrc = 0 through executable program and it does not enter into the download method logic when i do it through main method, instead sy-subrc is straight set to 6 (unknown error).

As far as I could have understood your problem
You have to read the file with
Open dataset 'file path+name' FOR INPUT in text mode encoding default.
and move its contents to string type variable
Transfer to 'file path+name' to v_string.
Now as per your requirements you need to use Offsets to transfer the data into a work area.
For example
wa_task-year= v_string(4).
wa_task-month= v_string+4(2).
Please confirm if this is your requirement.

How to convert Mail attachment file Tab Delimited file to XML.

    I have XI scenario: MAIL XI SAP (ABAP Proxy), the process is
1.     XI will receive tab delimited file as attachment in mail.
2.     XI will convert the tab delimited file into XML, then map to the target structure.
3.     Target will be posted into ECC through ABAP Proxy.
Can anyone help me how can I convert the attachment file (i.e. Tab delimited file) to XML while configuring the sender side.

Formatting a tab delimited file

Hello All,
I am populating a tab delimited text file with data from a resultset and I'm having problems lining up the columns properly. I tried using tabs, but the variable length of some of the entries are messing up the positioning of the data. Is there a way to create tab delimited fixed length fields with column headers? or is there some better way to do this in general?

I got it working using StringBuffers. Where I missed it was that the formatting of the text of the report originally didn't work under the
code. It was being automatically formatted when it was passed as a message in an email under javamail. I had forgotten that Outlook will do that on it's own. When I tried to make the report an attachment, the defect in the formatting became apparent.
I also got it working (better solution) using POI. That way the attachment is an .xls file, rather than tab-delimited file.
