just wondring if I can find Mac book pro with arabic keyboard in emirates apple store.I tried to buy it from australia as am living there
but they told me they dont have it avilabile with arabic keyboard anymore even if you want to order it online!so am coming to emirates for one day stopover and want to know if can find what am looking for in emirates store with arabic keyboard already printed on it?
if you are coming to Dubai for a stopover. Then you might want to consider buying this from iStyle (Apple Premium Authorized reseller). because you just can pay and yake it right away. unlike online store where you want to wait like 5-8 days for delivery.

Hi, the last install dvd that came out for mac's was Snow Leopard,10.6.3. Lion is a download from apple. You cannot just install it over Yosemite. You would have to backup your drive to save files you want and do a clean install. You might want to look into getting more memory. I have a Mac Book Pro with a 320hdd, 2.33 processor, 8 gigs of RAM and OS X 10.9.4 . My hdd crashed and I cannot access it so is it possible to install a 1 terabyte drive with the operating software already installed and also upgrade my RAM to 16 gigs?
If I were you I'd install a small SSD as the boot drive from OWC:

Then put a second large conventional drive either in the optical bay (Data Doubler) or in an external.
You don't say which MBP you have: Size, CPU type.
Also when you upgrade you could see if you can salvage your data from your old HD. Can you hear it spin up? If so Data Rescue IV. -
I have a Mac Book Pro with 10.6.8 and want to back up my files using a flash drive. It says I did it but when I tried to check on my other Mac - an I Mac with 10.5.8, thedata does not seem to be there. I cant see photos, etc.. It shows the backup as a file and shows various system info. but there are no photos or other files shown.

MikeA PowerPC Mac, if that's what it is, won't be able to see an Intel Mac's formatted data. Also ExFat formatting is not supported by 10.6.3 or earlier. I would try viewing the backup on another Intel Mac with at least 10.6.4. If it isn't there, then the backup never really took place. I much profer a hard drive with Carbon Copy Cloner.

I have a Mac book pro with iPhoto updated to iPhoto 11 we have 2 users on our Mac myself and my husband. I recently loaded all of our pictures from a recent trip into iPhoto under my login screen. Can these photos also be transferred into my husbands iPhoto library under his login screen ? I want to transfer some not all of them and already deleted them from the camera card.
Use iPhoto Sharing.
If you want the other user to be able to see the pics, but not add to, change or alter your library, then enable Sharing in your iPhoto (Preferences -> Sharing), leave iPhoto running and use Fast User Switching to open the other account. In that account, enable 'Look For Shared Libraries'. Your Library will appear in the other source pane.
Any user can drag a pic from the Shared Library to their own in the iPhoto Window.
Remember iPhoto must be running in both accounts for this to work. -
I have a mac book pro with Boot Camp that also runs windows. I upgraded to Lion and now the mac side crashes/freezes periodically, especially iphoto. I am told by the genius' that I probably need to "clean" it and reinstall lion using the "recovery drive" which resets everything back to default and reinstalls the lion operating system. My question is will this also delete the "windows" partition drive and all that data too. If so that will be a huge pain in the ___ to back up and reinstall boot camp and windows. I want to shoot the lion.
There is no system like Acronis for the Mac platform. You can try using the buiilt in Disk Utility to create an Image of the complete Mac drive but I have found that this does not work very well as on tryiing to restore it gives errors sometimes.
You can use SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner to create a bootable Clone of your system partition. But that is only for the System partition and not the complete drive.
If you use Boot Camp to install Windows on your Mac neither of those two programs will clone the Windows side.
Neither will Disk utility as Mac's can not create or write to a NTFS partition. So some other program is need for that. -

Choose you account - login items: If iTunesHelper
shows up - remove it it will prevent re-installation.
It did not have iTunes in the list, just mail and iCal alarm. Deadlines and emails are vital in my home office.
Now that I think about it, adding Mail to the list was the only thing that I had changed to the computer when this happened, but I can't imagine how that would alter permission to install on the OS.

Open your Displays system preferences. Is there an Arrangement tab and does it show two screens? If no Arrangement tab then your mac does not know it has two screens. Maybe smc and pram reset will shake it free and maybe not. Maybe there's something wrong with the connection. Yes, going to the website is an option for updating, but the Flip4Mac System Preference panel affords a method to check for updates without going this route. It may be either a problem with Telestream's software, or perhaps it's a probelm with system configuration (corrupt prefs, outdated URL, etc.) Telestream is aware of the issue, but has not as yet found the problem / solution. -

When you go into Photos (or an Album or Event), click on the first photo you want to delete. If you want to delete a whole selection of photos in a row, hold down the Shift key, and then click on the last photo in the section you want to delete. All of the photos will be selected. Then click on Photos in the top menu and click on Move to Trash.
If you want to select photos that are not in a row, then click on the first photo, then hold down the Command key, then click on other photos you want to select. Keep the Command key held down until you have selected all of the photos you want. Then click on Photos in the top menu and then Move to Trash.

Actually, you can - but it is special order only - they consider it as a customized unit....You might have to wait a week or two.....
You can check the Apple Store at the Mall of the Emirates and see if they have it in stock....
Or, you can go to Apple's website select UAE as the country and configure it with the US keyboard and wait for delivery...
