Hi experts,
Do we have any views in oracle 9i to see the oracle_home,oracle_base.
Thanks in advance

I have a pc, and i accidentally deleted the address bar in my safari browser and no longer have any view options to get it back. I uninstalled and reinstalled safari twice, but the address bar still isn't there and neither are the view options. If there anyway to get it back?

  • Does any one here know about "Elink"

    Dear all,
We are using WebLogic. We have a requirement to turn SQL based structures
    into XML messages.
In essence we have to build up an XML doc representing something like (say)
a PO (Purchase Order) which itself has PO lines etc.etc such that you might
    have a doc such as
    **PO**
    PO_UID
    Field
    Field
    Field
    etc.
    / **PO LINE**
    POL_UID
    Field
    Field
    Field
    etc
This needs to be produced on a given event from some SQL tables (held in
Oracle @ the mo) e.g. the PO table & the PO Lines table.
A bit like an MS Access "query" or ADO much as in:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?URL=/library/dotnet/cpguide/cp
    conxmldatadocumentandthedataset.htm
i.e a structured document possibly many levels deep needs to be produced. We
looked @ Oracle AQ'es XML handling & apparantly it will only go 2 levels
    deep.
As a result I have been refered to BEA's "Elink" product
    http://www.beasys.com/products/elink/index.shtml
Will this do what I want (i.e. allow for the production of "deep" XML
Documents from an exisiting set of SQL table structures).
Has any one here used elink? Has anyone got any views? I am having to find a
solution fairly fast so candour is appreciated.

I think you were refered to ELink because of its DIO add-on, which is an OEMed version
of Mercator. Mercator is a very powerful data mapping/translation tool, in the same
family as NEON, Sterling Commerce (don't know the actual product names off the top
of my head), among others. If all you need is to map one data structure to another,
I'd skip ELink, which is really an EAI/Middleware architecture built on Tuxedo, and
look into the stand alone data integration products mentioned above.

I know that XML is supported as an FML buffer type in V7 of Tuxedo (or
ELink), but you might want to consider WebLogic instead of ELink. WebLogic
gives you the ability to parse the XML with a built-in parser, or you can
use your own. I'm not sure about parsing XML in ELink. Also, to use Java
with ELink, you'll need the Jolt product as well.
    Thanks

  • Want to know about oracle

    want to know about oracle

First thing you learn from Oracle, Oracle is a huge Ocean of concepts, its a Universe within a Universe, and within each Universe another subUniverse ...
Information Paradox in which knowledge and meaning clash, from Sthephen Hawkins ... Seems much more easier to understand.
Let's state it this way, what do you want to be when you're grown up?? DBA, Developer, Application Specialist, Applications DBA, JDeveloper, Warehose Builder, Spatial Data Processor, Security Officer, Web Master, Data Miner, .... ???
I suggest you to narrow the scope of your question, and aim at a very specific goal, otherwise, you'll end up swallowed by the black hole of Oracle knowledge.

  • Want to know about oracle developer

    hi,
basically i m no IT back ground. i completed my MSc Electonics n moving toward to ORACLE...
My que is--- should i get as much opportunity as some IT people have?
plz help me out on this if u can.......

it is very good for you to move to oracle
its completely covers the database solutions.
since its is the database which obeys the maximum codd's rules
so very efficient as per quality is concerened...
As it is database oriented so no need to have any security problem as far as data is conerened
now a days move to web is also popular in the ORACLE
GOOD Choice to move to ORACLE

  • Want to know about oracle seeded executable XDODTEXE

Can anybody explain about oracle seeded executable XDODTEXE? When I should use this executable? If i create .rdf report, what will be the mapping to this executable?
    regards,
    RJ

What is XDODTEXE used in the Executable section of Concurrent Program?
XDODTEXE is a BI Publisher Data Template Executable. The purpose of this executable is to identify data template file (.xml) and execute the data template to generate the raw xml data, that later can be used by BI Publisher formatting engine to format as as per the layout (RTF, PDF etc).
This executable will be used by all the BI Publisher reports (Concurrent Program) which are using Data Template to generate the xml data.

  • Does the iTunes store have any view options in iTunes 9?

I was forced to 'up'grade to iTunes 9 when I bought a new iPod. Now I find the iTunes store unusable. How do I display the composer? How do I widen columns so that I can see all the performers - singers, conductor, orchestra, etc?
    All help gratefully received.

Thanks to Jesse M for the "See all >>" suggestion, which is better than nothing, and to iNexxFear for all your hard work, but I absolutely need the search results to come up with full functionality. The possibility of searching painstakingly by separate categories for Composer, Album etc. merely puts me at the mercy of the overworked, undereducated interns who have to type in such information, unaided of course by iTunes' hopelessness at categorising anything other than pop songs.
However, I've found a fantastic solution of my own. It's called Amazon. Only 69p a track. Searching isn't perfect, but it's far better than this appalling leap backwards by Apple.
Yes, I'm upset. But I see the thin end of a wedge that's turning Apple into Microsoft.

  • Good morrning. Suddenly the sounds of keybord and camira shots becom silent , i have any idea to do about that ,,, my device is ipad air

The sounds of camera and keypord suddenly become silent , inspite of music is good on my ipad :) how can manage this

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute/unmute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad above the volume switch, or via control centre (the left-hand end of the taskbar if not on iOS 7) : swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and it's the right-most of the 5 icons in the middle of it (if the icon is white then it's 'on', tap it to turn it grey and 'off'). The function that isn't on the side switch is set via control centre instead : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4085

  • Could have any way to connect to oracle 7.1.6 by odbc?

we are urgently, could any people help us asap?
    thanks.
    fred

A win98 client application could be using any number of API's to connect to the database-- OCI (note that there's an Oracle7 version of OCI and an Oracle8 version of OCI, either of which could be used), ODBC, OLE DB, Pro C/C++, JDBC, etc-- to connect to the database, not to mention that it could be using one of the API's like DAO, ADO, RDO, etc. that are layered on top of protocols like ODBC. SQL*Net is Oracle networking layer-- I've never heard of an application that used it to communicate directly with the database. If the application was developed when Oracle 7.1.6
Since Oracle no longer supports the 7.1.6 version of the database, you may have some unexpected difficulties. I would expect all the protocols I listed above to work correctly, since there ought not to have been major changes in the way a 7.1.6 and 7.3.4 database communicates, but there are no guarantees.
