Does Webi is language independent?

User want to see material text in web report.
We created bex query for this, when user try to get data from material text, its running for ever. as you aware that there will be seperate text table for material info object, we assume join this data with info cube is taking for ever.
hence we created another info object to store material text in info cube instead of using master data text of material.
draw back here is that, user cont see the other langauges if we store material text as diffrent info object in the cube.
we want to do this langauge conversion in Webi side..is there way, user can see english text as spanish if web document?
THanks in advance.

Hi,
I think that you misunderstand the application page in SharePoint.
Application pages are stored on the file system of the front-end Web server in the %ProgramFiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\14\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS directory and exist for every site in a Web application. This folder is mapped to an
Internet Information Services (IIS) virtual directory called _layouts.
Every site and subsite will have access to the application pages by using the _layouts virtual directory. For example,
http://myserver/_layouts/settings.aspx and
http://myserver/subsite/_layouts/settings.aspx access the same application page on the front-end Web server unlike site pages, which are an instance for the specified site.
As you said, when "New Folder" from SharePoint ribbon was hit then  window.location.href contained "/Forms/Upload.aspx?RootFolder=".
The Upload.aspx is the same application page.
The URLs are different depending on the different parameters after the “RootFolder” and the “Type”.

  • Does WEB UI Supports multi-language?

    Hello Experts,
    Does WEB UI supports multi-language?
If yes, what are the languages does it support?
If yes, what are the settings involved to support multi-language?
Thanks in advance & appreciate your replies.
    Rohan

    Rohan,
German is "easy", lol..  SAP supports German out of the box lol... Seriously though the general procedure is to install the approriate language packs for the system and then login into the system under that particular language using the webUI.
If your system is unicode(hopefully) so, then you will have no issues.  Keep in mind you'll need to translate any custom texts into the approriate language, but that is not too hard.  I haven't done it myself, but translation in SAP is relatively straightforward.
Pretty straightforward especially for the languages you mentioned.
    Take care,
    Stephen

  • Translation problem: No language independent code..

    Hi guys!
I'm currently customizing an existing system with 2 different languages(English and French)
So far so good, but I get the following error message when I try to create a new Appointment or Task:
"No language independent code exists for the value 'En cours' and type 'EVENT_STATUS' with language 'ENG' in table 'S_LST_OF_VAL'. (SBL-DAT-00510)"
The field 'Status' is a read-only picklist with a default value 'En cours' in the french section of the system. I've translated the value of 'En cours' to 'On Going' for the english section, but I still receive the same error message..
Any tips how to solve this problem?
    Thanks!

I would recommend that you submit a service request to CRM On Demand customer care in reference to this issue.

  • Which ports does Webi Rich CLient use to connect to Universe etc..

    Hello together,
we have the problem that we cannot run Rich Client from computers outside our network - so which ports does webi Rich Client use to connect to BO Serverl?.
It will always say universe not found. Login to rich client and everything else is possible.
It's not an authorisations problem, inside the network people can run the programs fine.
    Thank you

    Hi,
i assume you have enable CMS port on the firewall, apart from this you need to enable IFRS and Connection Server port also.

  • Web Service language

    Hi
What is the Web Services language used by SCORCH? I've been trying to use a WSDL "connector" from a third party service management tool with the idea to start and stop runbooks required by workflow by using the SCORCH web service.

  • Dictation does not switch language

When I hit the language icon in the menu bar, it does not switch language like my ipad does.   Is it possible that the ipad has more functionality than the mac book pro?

OS X and iOS are totally different is this area.  The language icon in OS X only changes the keyboard, nothing else.  Dictation language is set in system preferences.  But there is also an easier way

  • No language independent code exists......

No language independent code exists for value '108010' and type 'HTSC_CUST_STATUS' with language 'ENU' in table 'S_LST_OF_VAL'.But the data exists in S_LST_OF_VAL and LIC exists for this value and the lanuage is ENU and type is HTSC_CUST_STATUS. The Problem happens when executing task UI but behaves normal when invoking NewRecord Method in List Applet, provided Predefault value or Post default value is set as "Expr: "LookupValue(""HTSC_CUST_STATUS"",""118010"")""Anybody knows why? Thanks.

    Hi,
Confirm whether the "Display Value" for the LOV is "108010" or the Language Independent Code (LIC). Check at the Database level what value has been stored for the Value and LIC Column. This could also be a problem if there is any discrepancy on this.

  • Does Web Tools Work With SBO 8.8?

I'm on Web Tools v652, looking to upgrade to v654. Currently we are on SBO 2007 PL49, but we will need to upgrade to resolve the Contact Synch issue (see related thread Attempted to read or write protected memory on SP01., particularly message Re: Attempted to read or write protected memory on SP01.), so we're going to have to get off of this version. We were considering jumping instead from SP01 PL6 as stated in the message all the way to the latest version, which is 8.8 (I guess there's a new naming convension).
My question is, how does Web Tools interact with 8.8? Is there anything I should be aware of regarding conflicts that were not there previously? Also, should Web Tools go all the way to v654 as soon as possible too, or can we leave it at v652 without any compatibility issues?

It's currently NOT compatible with SBO 8.8 or SQL 2008

  • Language independent web service

    Hi,
I have a question about web service...
Our Web application uses SAP web services to communicate to SAP R/3 function modules.
Currently I am creating one web service for one user langauge(English,Japanese). I mean web service is language dependent. I don't want to create web service for each user language.
I am using wsadmin transaction to create web services.
I want to create web service from the function module with out any specific language attached to it.
I should be able to pass any language(which user selects in the front end) and invoke corresponding web services? Will it be possible?
Appreciate your help or any lead on this

this is explained in this weblog.

  • Setting language independently for each app

Before leopard we could set the language of each app independently (in the get info window) but now we are stuck with a system-wide setting. Is there any way to get the functionallity back? And I don't want to manage a separate user for each language, it just doesn't work for me.
    thanks

    Here's the long story:
I'm tring to have my finder and some apps in french but I want to use some other apps in english (Final Cut, Photoshop, a bunch of pro video apps for work). I use mainly FCP and the thing is that if I open it in french, for some obscure reason it assumes (erroneously) that I must be in France and that I have an azerty keyboard... so all the keyboard shortcuts are changed. It gets absolutely unusable, even undo is changed for something other than command-z. So I tried language switcher, with my system and finder set in french. I ran the list of my apps and decided, app by app, which one I wanted in french and which one I wanted in english. I saved those settings every time, because I felt it would be dumb to have to launch language switcher first each time I wanted to launch an app. Then I launched Final Cut Pro (7.0.3). At first it looked like all went well, it was in english, my system was in french. But when I checked trough the menus, I found that all the menu items were written in english but the keyboard shortcuts associated with them were the french ones! I tried to get it back to work normal by switching the system back to english and doing the reverse process with Language Switcher. Didn't work. I tried three or for other things that didn't work either (and I won't detail them all... sorry). So I reverted to my last time machine backup.
I assume the .lproj trick you mention is essentially what Language switcher is doing, so that wouldn't do me much good. I really miss the way we could do it before leopard...
    anyways, thanks for answering!

  • Query in Portal User-Language-Independent

    Hi all
    Query and Portal: NW04S
We have some users with different language as Query language.
So the result is, when a query is developed in german and a user has default language english the query components are shown in technical values.
We don't want to translate the query in english
We don't want to change the users language to german
So my idea was to change the query iview with the parameter "sap-language=DE", but this doesn't have an affect either in iview-Properties "Query-String BEx Web Application" nor in "Parameter forwarded to BEx Web Application"
How can I solve this problem, so the bex-query is always shown in german.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you

  • Why does Web Start App ignore Proxy bypass/exception list in Proxy settings

    Hi All,
I've been pulling my hair out on this one for a while now and finally decided to see if someone can help me out.
In my office I have a intranet of numerous devices and pcs connected. There is also a proxy server on the network to allow connection through the the internet. I have my proxy settings setup to bypass the proxy for any addresses on my intranet. This is set in the normal way by adding ( http://192.168.1. to proxy settings exception list in IE. This proxy bypass list works fine for all other situation except the following:
On my Intranet I have an embedded web server device I have been developing that has a java application deployed using web start. This application is a monitoring tool that allows the user to check the various settings and status of the embedded device. The problem is that when the app is launched for some reason web start tries to get the require jar file from the proxy instead of directly from the device, even when the IP address of the device it is trying to get it from is in the bypass list?? I don't think Web start is checking the exception/bypass list in the proxy settings to see if it should be using the proxy or not?? I can see this by using wireshark and inspecting the GET HTTP requests sent from my pc to the proxy server instead of directly to the ip address of the embedded device.
If I change my proxy settings to use a direct connection/no proxy (untick the "use proxy server for your lan" box in IE settings) then everything works fine. However this is not a workable option for my customers as they don't want to have to continually change these settings when connecting to this device and then to the internet (which is the whole reason of having the exception / bypass list).
I've tried many things including using the proxy settings in the Java console instead of getting them from the browser but the same thing occurs.
Any help would much appreciated, as I not sure if it is something I am doing wrong, or a possible bug, or just the way it is meant to work??
    I'm using the following...
    Java version: 1.6 1.6.0_17
Operating system: ( I've tried XP and Vista)

I have the same problem, please anyone can help?

  • Firefox 5.0.1 does not display Language Selection Popup from Google Translate

The Translate button at http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp does not work with Firefox 5.0.1. It does work with Chrome 12 and Internet Explorer 9 and Firefox 3.6.19. Many other Google Translate based Addons to Firefox do not work on Firefox 5.0.1 such as https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/translator/. We have added Google Translate to our site http://www.sudokue.com with the same problem exhibited by Firefox 5.0.1 but not by other browsers.

Try a reload with the F5 key. That seems to work and makes the language button appear.
