Does WebLogic support late binding?
Hi,
One of BEA's competitors told me that they are the only one to support 'late binding'. I don't really know what it is, so could someone explain something about it?
And is it true that BEA does not support this so called late binding?
Thanks and greetings,
Ben
Late binding is supported by weblogic also.
Late binding is a way of providing access to another application's objects. In late bound access, no information about the object being accessed is available at compile time; the objects being accessed are dynamically evaluated at runtime. This means that it is not until you run the program that you find out if the methods and properties you are accessing actually exist.

Does Weblogic support SSL v3.1?
The documentation for both Weblogic 9 and 10 refer to v3.0, but I cannot find any reference to 3.1. Does either version support SSL 3.1?

Does ODSEE support anonymous binding?
I am working on a project to demonstrate an application running on Red Hat Linux and we are using Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition 11.1.1.3.0 for our LDAP server. I am using a software product that connects to the LDAP server anonymously to search for data. Moving forward we would like to have this software changed to support non-anonymous binding, but in the short term it would be much easier if I could enable anonymous binding in ODSEE. Is this possible?
I have not been able to track down any properties of the LDAP server that allow this. I have been researching creating a Directory Proxy Service, which does seem to have some capability of connecting anonymously, it is not exactly clear to me how this would work and that sure seems like it is adding a pretty big layer of complexity.
If it is possible to enable anonymous binding with ODSEE, how is it done?
Thanks,
BrentThanks for the quick reply. I saw the property "require-bind-pwd-enabled" and I changed the value but it did not fix this issue.
That page you reference is interesting. Maybe my problem is not necessarily with "anonymous binding" but with access control. How the software is acting is that it connects and execute searches without throwing any errors (a Java application using JNDI) but the search results are always empty. That is how the LDAP Browser tool I am using acts as well. If I choose to connect anonymously I connect okay but I do not see any data.
That page says:
+"With access control, you can give anonymous users whatever privileges you choose. Often, anonymous users are allowed to read non-sensitive data from the directory, such as names, telephone numbers, and email addresses."+
I will do some searches to try and see what I can find, but if anybody can point me in the right direction on how to enable an anonymous user to search for data that would be great.
Thanks,

I'm using windows DW 2014.1 cc. I'm following lynda.com tutorials to build a website database with PHP and MySQL. I learned I have to download Adobe Extension Mngr to active DATABASE, BINDING, SERVER BEHAVIOR panels, which I've done. BUT NOW I'VE BEEN ADVISED NOT TO USE THESE TOOLS for new development. If this is the truly the case, then WHAT TOOLS DO I USE to develop a website that has a database?
then WHAT TOOLS DO I USE to develop a website that has a database?
Besides the tools you would already need for a system using server behaviors (web server, PHP, MySQL, phpMyAdmin) the only extra tool you need is your own brain.
A lot of people are disappointed by the lack of database tools in DW now, but really it's much better this way. You can never achieve better than a rinky-dink dynamic website using server behaviors. The code Dreamweaver dynamic behaviors create is really terrible. (I'm not insulting the fine folks who wrote the feature. It's just a consequence of automated code.) You can write better, simpler, more maintainable code yourself, and over time you will improve. With server behaviors you cannot improve. you get stuck in database kindergarten. -
Does Weblogic 10 supports HTTP/1.0..?
Hi,
My application contains an executable client. This client when invoked calls a servlet in the server. This application is working fine in weblogic 6.1 sp3 now. Iam trying to migrate this application to weblogic 10. However, when I invoke the executable client, its not reaching the servlet. Then I found the following logged in the access logs.
"152.67.221.214 - - [06/Sep/2007:22:47:09 -0700] "POST /invoke/wm.server/connect HTTP/1.0" 401 1518"
Note: I dont have the source code of the executable client..
My doubts:
Does weblogic supports HTTP/1.0...?
how to make this work without having the control over the client..?
Can we do something in server to make this work..?
Its evident from the access log, that the request is unauthorized...how to avoid with without touching the client..?
FYI, Its working fine in weblogic 6.1 sp3. Below is the log recorded in weblogic 6.1 sp3 access log.
152.67.221.214 - - [06/Sep/2007:01:29:50 -0800] "POST http://appstg01:7031/invoke/wm.server/connect HTTP/1.0" 200 22
How to make this work in weblogic 10. I can modify only the servlet and not the executable client.
Thanks in advance.
--vinodhI understand that HTTP version has nothing to do with 401 code. Please let me know is there any way that we can avoid this without touching the client. Because the cleint is a executable to which we dont have access. We still have command over Weblogic server and servlet.
Thnks. -
Does weblogic 5.1 support JTA ?
Hi,
I am interested in knowing if weblogic 5.1 support JTA.
Though the EJB1.1 spec speaks of JTA, there is not mention of JTA in weblogic
5.1 docs.
THanks
Jai
WLS 5.1 does support JTA, but it does not support XA or 2PC. These are
supported in WLS 6.0 and later.

I have a late 2009 MacBook which I want to connect to an old LG tv. The tv does not support HDMI it only has the (red, while, and yellow) ports. Sorry I dunno the exact name for it.
So I was thinking of using the Apple Mini DVI to Video Adapter (s-video), link below...
http://store.apple.com/Catalog/dk/Images/M9319_screen.jpg
But I'm afraid that the MacBook might not support the adapter.
Can anyone give me a solution for this? Is there an alternative way of doing this? I'm kinda new to apple display adapters. The Late 2009 model 6,1 has a Mini DisplayPort not the Mini-DVI. To see which model you have go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When the System Profiler comes up check the Model Identifier.
Composite is the name for the red, white and yellow RCA plugs on your TV or red, white and S-Video plugs. If you want to use the Composite input on your TV there’s no Mini DisplayPort to Composite. You’ll have to get a Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_19?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field -keywords=mini+displayport+to+vga&sprefix=mini+Displayport+to and a VGA Adapter to TV S-Video RCA Out Cable for PC Video. http://www.amazon.com/VGA-Adapter-S-Video-Cable-Video/dp/B000Y7T5UU/ref=sr_1_7?s =electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1316369974&sr=1-7
Only the Yellow plug or the S-Video plug for video will work. For sound you'll also need audio cables to the TV using a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack to RCA sound plugs. You attach it from the headphone jack of your MacBook to the appropriate input plugs on your TV http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=min i-dvi&x=9&y=13#/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_2_19?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=macboo k+audio+cable&sprefix=macbook+audio+cable&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Amacbook+audio+cable -
Hello,
I am building JSP client for webservice. The client is deployed on tomcat 4.x.
This time fortunatelly clientgen swallowed WSDL and I got client code generated.
I added webserviceclient.jar to WEB-INF/lib. However I am getting java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
weblogic/xml/schema/binding/SequenceCodecBase Exception.
Indeed webserviceclient.jar has no weblogic/xml/schema/binding/SequenceCodecBase
class defined. Do I have bad webserviceclient.jar or am I doing something wrong?
Also I've found weblogic/xml/schema/binding/SequenceCodecBase in weblogic.jar
so I added it to my application. Now I am getting

What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
AlekseyIt looks like you have the JAXM suns RI registered. We do not
work with other JAXM impls. To set your MessageFactory to
use WLS jaxm impl do the following:
System.setProperty( "javax.xml.soap.MessageFactory",
"weblogic.webservice.core.soap.MessageFactoryImpl" );
before you invoke the web service method.

Weblogic 8.1 SP2 does not support 'Order by' clause in EJB-QL
It seems that Weblogic 8.1 SP2 does not support 'Order by' clause in EJB-QL. EJB 2.1 spec supports 'Order by' clause in EJB-QL. Am I right when I say that it indicates : "Weblogic 8.1 SP2 does not support EJB 2.1" ? In that case, what can be the alternative since I am using Weblogic 8.1 and I require 'Order by' clause in Ejb-QL as well.
In WL 8.1 SP4 I can use the ORDERBY just fine.
Try ORDERBY instead of Order by -

Does the web server of weblogic support any plugins similar to the ISAPI plugins for IIS or apache plugins?
i can't seem to get it to work either AND I can't seem to find an answer here or any search that I do. It seems that you can only view your calendar and not delegate calendars via the web view
