Doubts with WD ABAP

Hi carmen ,
The coding you have written above can be generated through code wizard easily.
Just you need to click the code wizard button .
just see the below link :-
[http://help.sap.com/saphelp_tm70/helpdata/en/3b/29933f09a5fb47e10000000a114084/content.htm]
you can call nodes and can call them as a table or structure.
again you can access methods and attributes of various classes . The code will be auto genarated. You just need to cange a little bit according to your need.

Hi,
In pattern, choose ABAP Objects patterns.
In that in radio button, Call Method choose the following from F4 button.
Instance                       Node_sflight
Class/Interface            IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE
Method                        Bind_table
It will generate the below code.Pass the internal table as shown in bold.
CALL METHOD node_sflight->bind_table
  EXPORTING
    new_items            = itab_sflight
   set_initial_elements = ABAP_TRUE
   index                =

  • Doubt with Implicit Enhacement in SAP ABAP

    Dear.
I have the following doubt with the Implicit Enhacement in SAP ABAP created by me in several applications standard-
If I Create an Implicit Enhacement in SAP ABAP for a function module or program standard , when the team basis is doing an upgrade the code abap created in the Implicit Enhacement not is deleted?
I have created several Implicit Enhacement for Applications WD ABAP and FM, but I have this doubt.
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ABAP/HowToDoImplicitEnhancement
    Thanks a lot in advance.
    Carmen G.

    Hi,
you code will be retain after upgrade. If you have done implicit enhancements doesnt mean your code would get deleted after upgrades.
In some cases you might have to activate your enhancments using SPAU.
    Thanks

  • Doubts with working in BI

    Dear Experts,
I am sure SAP follows the same concepts in BI as just recently i have worked in JasperSoft Talend Open studio.
But i have some doubts with BI.
I created a RFC in ABAP. Used that RFC to bring data for a single day as parameter  on to ingres database table .The ingres table is of same schema as of structure output. Finally i find that ingres table is populated after running relevant job.
Now i thought to work twoards report and that worked as well. But still i have doubts.
As i am new to BI ,i dont know what advantage i got by doing this breathless activity.
    (1) I would have simply used sap itself to generate report. What was the need to bring to mysql.Load to my server remain same because definitely RFC will be executed nowhere but on server itself.
(2)If daily i have to run the same job ,obviously i could have done same with sap.Same amount of data will be retrieved with
    same overheads.
As i said that i am new to BI.Plz explain me about power of BI  and what i am missing to conceptualize ?

    Aditya,
You can definitely use SAP R/3 to generate these issues - the only issues are :
SAP R/3 is an OLTP system
by OLTP system the system is optimized / tuned to be able to do inserts and updates to tables but then the default indices are not tuned for reads ... this might cause report performance issues...
SAPR/3 is not supposed to hold more than 2 years of data at best ( unless your system is small enough ) whereas a BI system can hold and should hold much more information.
Getting the master data descriptions for the data you are reporting upon and that too across languages can be a challenge - whereas it can be better handled in a BI system...
As for extracting large volumes of data you should use the Service API that comes with SAP Bi for better extraction performance ...
some points why you need a BI system.....

    Good morning.
I am implementing Travel for ESS. We implement the business function FIN_TRAVEL_1 for work with Webdynpro ABAP.
We are implementing ESS for a country not deliverd by SAP.
We copy the folder of ESS/MSS, for modify the role of Employee Self-Service and add more iview/page/ to this role customer.
    I have two doubts:
    1) Have that change the PCD in the SPRO for each resource?
2.) I am in process of designing the ESS Homepage framework for Travel and Expenses. We are onto ECC6.0 with Enh Pack4.
In SPRO, we have got new resource links which are for Webdynpro ABAP.
For Example for resource EMPLOYEE_TRAVEL_ALLMYTRIPS_SRV_12,the properties are
Description : Travel & Expense: All My Trips and Expenses
    Object name : FITV_POWL_TRIPS
    URL Parameter : SAP_FITV_EXIT_OP=CallAreaPage
All other properties are empty like URL of Resource Object and URL of PCD Page.

  • Adobe print forms - Intergration with Webdynpro ABAP

    Hi
We are working on SAP Adobe print forms with Webdynpro ABAP. We are getting the PDF form's Hexadecimal content as a part of the FPFORMOUTPUT parameter when we execute the FM of the Form.
I tried to assign that to a context variable and assigned that to the PDFSource of the form and tried to generate the PDF. But is is showing a black page.
Can you please suggest a way if any to get this done.
    Regards,
    Srikanth.

You can use the print form directly. I mean the same way as you would use the WD/ online form. Provide the form name, the data source and stuff and the form should work. If that would be an interactive one, you would not be able to change any values if the form is based on DDIC dictionary, but since you want to use the printform, this is not your concern.

  • Doubt with a Insert query!

hi friends i have a doubt with a query in sql here is the following code.
    INSERT INTO
                         (SELECT employee_id, last_name,
                                      email, hire_date, job_id, salary,
                                      department_id
                           FROM employees
                          WHERE department_id = 50)
               VALUES (99999, 'Taylor', 'DTAYLOR',
                            TO_DATE('07-JUN-99', 'DD-MON-RR'),
'ST_CLERK', 5000, 50);The same insert statement can be achieved with
    INSERT INTO EMPLOYEES (employee_id, last_name,
                                      email, hire_date, job_id, salary,
                                      department_id)
                        VALUES (99999, 'Taylor', 'DTAYLOR',
                            TO_DATE('07-JUN-99', 'DD-MON-RR'),
'ST_CLERK', 5000, 50);What advantage does the first query have over the second one.
    Thanks in advance to everyone.
    Regards,
    Manoj

    Those two statements are identical.
However this one would be different:
    INSERT INTO
      (SELECT employee_id, last_name,
            email, hire_date, job_id, salary,
            department_id
       FROM employees
       WHERE department_id = 50
       with check option )
VALUES (99999, 'Taylor', 'DTAYLOR', TO_DATE('07-JUN-99', 'DD-MON-RR'), 'ST_CLERK', 5000, 50);The "WITH CHECK OPTION" would guarantee that only employees for department 50 are inserted.

    Hello,
There is something (MF, Class) to publish a document in KM with an abap program in ECC 6.0 ?

The balances in both tables should be the same, right?  It is just that in FAGLFLEXA you may have some extra line items due to document splitting.

  • Doubt in Basic ABAP.

    Hi Gurus,
I have a small doubt in basic ABAP.
What is the exact difference between the below statements.
    Types: Begin of ty_data,
                 matnr type mara-matnr,
              end of ty_data.
    Types: Begin of ty_data,
                 matnr type matnr,

    Types: Begin of ty_data,
                 matnr like mara-matnr,
              end of ty_data.
    Types: Begin of ty_data,
                 matnr like matnr,
              end of ty_data.
    data: matnr type mara-matnr.
    data: matnr type matnr
    data: matnr like mara-matnr
    data: matnr like matnr.
In those above statement which are correct. And the difference between those statements.
    Thanks,
    Srihari.

    hi,
LIKE means the datatype of the variable is similar to the referenced variable.
TYPE means it is a predefined data type.
    Eg:
    DATA int TYPE i.
Here int is of integer data type.
    DATA var LIKE int.
var IS a variable having same data type of int. which in turn is integer.
You can find these helpful when you reference database table variables... You need not know what is the datatype defined.
    Also it adds to FLEXIBILITY.
Whenever you make changes to your database tables and fields,
that change is REFLECTED back to your program that is,
You need not change all your program code when you change your table fields...
Hope you understand and appreciate the flexibility that SAP provides to the programmers...
    Thanks
    Arun

  • Tool creation for checking program of ABAP in TXT format with the ABAP stds

Tool creation for checking program of ABAP in TXT format with the ABAP stds

    Hello Jagrut
There is a simple reason why we cannot do off-line ABAP development:
    - the <b>ABAP dictionary</b> (which contains all structures, tables, data elementes, etc.)
Because even the simplest ABAP report (except for the "Hello World" report) will reference some objects from the ABAP dictionary and, thus, requires to access these objects directly. Therefore, we are still bound to server-side ABAP development.

    What is Object Orientation?
Object orientation (OO), or to be more precise, object-oriented programming, is a problem-solving method in which the software solution reflects objects in the real world.
A comprehensive introduction to object orientation as a whole would go far beyond the limits of this introduction to ABAP Objects. This documentation introduces a selection of terms that are used universally in object orientation and also occur in ABAP Objects. In subsequent sections, it goes on to discuss in more detail how these terms are used in ABAP Objects. The end of this section contains a list of further reading, with a selection of titles about object orientation.
    Objects
An object is a section of source code that contains data and provides services. The data forms the attributes of the object. The services are known as methods (also known as operations or functions). Typically, methods operate on private data (the attributes, or state of the object), which is only visible to the methods of the object. Thus the attributes of an object cannot be changed directly by the user, but only by the methods of the object. This guarantees the internal consistency of the object.
    Classes
Classes describe objects. From a technical point of view, objects are runtime instances of a class. In theory, you can create any number of objects based on a single class. Each instance (object) of a class has a unique identity and its own set of values for its attributes.
    Object References
In a program, you identify and address objects using unique object references. Object references allow you to access the attributes and methods of an object.
In object-oriented programming, objects usually have the following properties:
    Encapsulation
Objects restrict the visibility of their resources (attributes and methods) to other users. Every object has an interface, which determines how other objects can interact with it. The implementation of the object is encapsulated, that is, invisible outside the object itself.
    Polymorphism
Identical (identically-named) methods behave differently in different classes. Object-oriented programming contains constructions called interfaces. They enable you to address methods with the same name in different objects. Although the form of address is always the same, the implementation of the method is specific to a particular class.
    Inheritance
You can use an existing class to derive a new class. Derived classes inherit the data and methods of the superclass. However, they can overwrite existing methods, and also add new ones.
    Uses of Object Orientation
Below are some of the advantages of object-oriented programming:
Complex software systems become easier to understand, since object-oriented structuring provides a closer representation of reality than other programming techniques.
In a well-designed object-oriented system, it should be possible to implement changes at class level, without having to make alterations at other points in the system. This reduces the overall amount of maintenance required.
Through polymorphism and inheritance, object-oriented programming allows you to reuse individual components.
In an object-oriented system, the amount of work involved in revising and maintaining the system is reduced, since many problems can be detected and corrected in the design phase.
    Achieving these goals requires:
    Object-oriented programming languages
Object-oriented programming techniques do not necessarily depend on object-oriented programming languages. However, the efficiency of object-oriented programming depends directly on how object-oriented language techniques are implemented in the system kernel.
    Object-oriented tools
Object-oriented tools allow you to create object-oriented programs in object-oriented languages. They allow you to model and store development objects and the relationships between them.
    Object-oriented modeling
The object-orientation modeling of a software system is the most important, most time-consuming, and most difficult requirement for attaining the above goals. Object-oriented design involves more than just object-oriented programming, and provides logical advantages that are independent of the actual implementation

  • Digital signature with webdynpro abap

    Hello,
how I can signature a character string digitial with webdynpro ABAP?
My first beginning is the call function "SSFS_CALL_CONTROL". But this is only for BSP. It is is sensible, that I create a small BSP - Application and I integrate this BSP - Application in Webdynpo ABAP. But How I integrate this BSP in WD4A?
    The other way
Give it a call function for webdynpros ABAP to signature?
    Thanks
    Maik

    Hi Maik,
what is to be signed. Your own document ?
I assume you have https and you want to sign you own content
and allow the DOWNLOAD or other similar to get doc to customer.
See the Function group SSFC/SSFZ for access to a certificate.
See security docu for load certificates on to the server. (Tran SSO_STRUST)
You can also create credentials if requried.
    See also function group SSFG.
Here are functions to create envelopes and sign them
This the main tool.  You sign a document to show proof of originality.
You place in envelop to encrypt it.
    Then send the result.
See function group SSFM for PSE management.
In general all the secure store and forward Functions all begin with SSF*
The function you choose probably just adds certificate to BSP connection.
I havent tried it. Just quickly looked at the code.
    Cheers
    Phil.

  • Help with basic ABAP code (merge internal tables, sort of...)

    Hello,
Can someone please help write some basic code for a Basis guy with limited ABAP knowledge?
Should be some easy points for an experienced ABAPer!
I have identicaly structured internal tables I_A and I_B and I_C which have already been filled by function models I called.
How will I code the following?:
I want to read all the data of I_A into a new internal table I_MASTER (structured the same as I_A,I_B and I_C).
Then I want to read I_B and:
    1)Update I_MASTER with NEW records
2)Update existing records if the value of field MYFIELD in I_B is smaller than the value of MYFIELD in I_MASTER.
Then I want to read I_C and:
    1)Update I_MASTER with NEW records
2)Update existing records if the value of field MYFIELD in I_C is smaller than the value of MYFIELD in I_MASTER.
Let me know if I can provide anymore information.

    hi
I understand your issue, to pickup an IDOC flat file & post it to R/3 (with or without mapping).
There is no straight forward solution but there are some ways (Normal way of Working as of now ?!!!) provided in the "How to"
    check this link
    https://websmp101.sap-ag.de/nw-howtoguides
    and look for this guide
How To Convert Between IDoc XML and Flat Files in XI.30
Probably you need to automate this using some programs,
    - Create an ALE port of type File
    using transaction WE21 on your
    Integration Engine.
    - Run report RSEINB00 on your
    Integration Engine. The report will
upload the file, filter the IDoc header
data, perform the conversion to IDoc
XML and put the data into the
    pipeline of the Integration Server.
Therefore it is crucial, that the IDoc
    control record data is populated
    correctly and corresponds to the
    adapter-specific identifiers of your
    sender service. Once the message
is put successfully into the pipeline
of the Integration Server, the file is
    deleted.
    Hope this fixes your issue
