Download parameter using HR create Standlone query Intergrator.

I have created a view and i need to restrict the download based on some parameters.
Now when i use HR create Standlone query Intergrator i know i can add a max of 5 paramaters.
below are few questions:
i need all 5 paramters but how do i define them using this integrator.I added 1 parameter and it works absolutely fine and restricts the dwnld based on this paramater. For eg i used parameter DOJ equals ---Input the doj and the view downloaded the data whose DOJ is exactly the same as what was inputted.
Syntax used in where clause : wherre DOJ=$PARAM$.DOJ .
Now i need to add second paarmeter in the same ADI how do I do that will i have to define the where clause again or just in the same intergrator i can give second parameter name. I tried this as well and when trying to upload i got the error as below :
PER PER_289713_ADI_INVALID_PARAM : SQL does not contain all bind variables. Please check your input values and try again.
Second qns , i used again the same HR create Standlone query Intergrator and enter valu e in where clause now i need location as well to restrict the dwnld including the DOJ. syntax : where location =$PARAM$.LOCATION and given the prompt name and type in second parameter as first parameter is alareday occupied by DOJ. the row got uploaded succesfully.now wen i try to run my report i get both the dwnld parmater DOJ ,Location.Input the value in DOJ and then in location it gives me following error whn i try to input location for eg :Hyderabad (NOTE :type i had defined is VARCHAR2 and then why below is coming)
Error: Form validation Failures Value Hyderabad "Location" is not number.
After this leaving Blank as location field i try to create documnet and it throws me error whie downloading records as below and none of the records is dwnlded.
error :Error occurred when setting bind value null on SQL Statement at index 1
PLEASE LET ME KNOW AS HOW CAN I DEFINE ALL FIVE PARAMTERS FOR A SINGLE VIEW AND RESTRICT MY DOWNLOAD.

  • Getting a parameter used to create another parameter

    Hi,
    I have the following interfaces:
    public interface DAO<E extends Entity>
    public interface ProductDAO extends DAO<Product>
public interface ClientDAO extends DAO<Client>I would like to do something like below. See the comments in testCreate().
public abstract class AbstractDAOTest<D extends DAO> extends TestCase
        public void testCreate()
// I would like to do some think like this
// where E represents the Entity parameter (Product, Client etc.)
// used in the actual DAO parameter of AbstractDAOTest sublclasses:
            //   ProductDAOTest<ProductDAO> extends AbstractDAOTest
            //   ClientDAOTest<ClientDAO> extends AbstractDAOTest
            E entity = ...
    }Any idea?
    Thanks.
    Oscar

    Thanks for your answer.
I was indeed, thinking about something like that.
I was just wondering if there was something less verbose, as when we declare:
class ProductDAOTest<ProductDAO>it is already known that ProductDAO is a DAO parameterized with a Product Entity.
I guess that in that case the parameter Product is kind of private to the ProductDAO declaration and that there is no way to access to it unless doing what you wrote.

  • HR Create Standalone Query Integrator - LOV as parameter type?

    Hi
Our customer wants to download data from a view with filters on various fields. We accomplished this using a download integrator and created restrictions via Standalone Query with various where clause parameters to the view(using HR Create Standalone Query Integrator). While this addressed customer's requirement they are seeing lot of users entering wrong data for the parameter value and causing bad SQLs hitting the database. Customer wants to make sure they dont let end users enter the wrong values in the run time parameter and requesting to make the parameter prompt value to be a LOV type where they are forced to choose one of the valid value.
    Example:
    Integrator Name - AP_INVOICE
SQL Where Clause – where invoice_type=$PARAM$.invoice_type
    1st Parameter Name – invoice_type
    1st Parameter Type – Varchar2
1st Parameter Prompt– Invoice Type Equals
Customer wants this Invoice type parameter values to be shown in a drop down list so that end user is forced to pick the valid value and download the data. How to accomplish this? Appreciate your guidance.
    Thank you.

  • What is the use of transporting BEx query to production from development ?

    Hi !
if create a query by copying an existing query and make some modification in production and sent it to client..and client is happy as it satisfies all his requirement .
Then what is the use of creating Bex query in development and transport it in quality and then to production if we can create directly in production ?

    Hi,
There is something called as SOX compliance..and three system landscape.
First of all you are not suppose to make changes to standard qeuries.
You can give it to the client a new copied query wirth required changes and it is very much accepted as well but how will it be tracked for future support.
Suppose there is a change in the underlying cube...this will affect all the queries and the new copied query which no one knows about will be affected too.How will you test it if its workinf fine with the new flow.
If you want to do the testing in production as well.... then you are not following SAP guidelines and may be you are violating the contract signed by you and your client.
    Thanks

  • Using "Object from this query" as a filter parameter

    Hi Folks,
I am looking to find a solution to a requirement where I need to filter data in a report based on the current year. I do not want to use the BEx functionality for filtering and want to leverage the BObj query filters. My idea was to create a "variable" in the BObj query to get the current year and hopefully use that as a filter parameter for 'Object in this query". But The options "Object in this query" and "Result from another query" are greyed out. I am using BObj 4.0 patch 12.
Do any of you have suggestions on how to accomplish this.
    Regards,
    Doniv

    Hi,
prerequisite to using the operators you mention is to have 2 dataproviders queries first.
However, it might be that those kind of operators aren't implemented for the current BICS interface, same goes with Unions, OR operator.
I know you can do this with Relational UNX, but BEX direct access has shortcomings in the query panel.
might be worth to try this again if you can get your hands on FP03 ramp up.  things change again , for the better, there.

  • How to create a Query iView based on user's parameter?

    Hello,
I've created a Query iView which depends on a Costumize parameter that the user enters - On stage 5 of the wizard I've entered a customize parameter on a certain field and called it "user_param". The wizard entered the Query: WHERE... = {$user_param}. So far so good...
My question is, after creating this iView, how Do I implement it at the Portal so the user will have a place to enter his parameter and receive the result?
when opening the Query I don't see such place. According to SPA's documentation, the user should enter the parameter at the "personalize" menu. When I put this iView in a page and open the "Personalize" menu there is no such place.
Which further configurations should I do in order it to work?

If you open the iview, there should be a personalize property or setting for the URL parameter. Make sure that it is set to read/write. I just got off a portal project where I did a few of these, but I don't have access to one right now, so I can't give you the exact steps, but you should get the idea.
    Good luck,

  • Unable to create new query using query manager

    Hi friends,
I have been trying to create a query using query manager for couple of hours but still not able to.I am following the instructions given in oracle Peopletools 8.52 : Peoplesoft query
    Chapter - creating new queries.
Below are the steps I am going through to create new query:
Step - I open the component Reporting Tools-> Query->Query Manager , I don't get the tabbed pages one for search an existing query and another for create new query.
Please follow this link to see how the page is displayed in first step:
    http://uploadpic.org/v.php?img=EvMvVAXX1E
Step 2 - When I click on create new query link, I am redirected to a page where it asks for record name to add in the query. But, even this page is not displayed as how it supposed to be
    http://uploadpic.org/v.php?img=GzHh3f6krU
Step 3 - Following the above step, when I click on Person record to add into my query I am asked to select the fields that I want to display in the output.
But I somehow do not get the proper tabbed pages where individual pages are there to add the attributes to complete the query like adding multiple records, fields, query, expressions, prompt...etc
    http://uploadpic.org/v.php?img=Wbbla3Q3jE
I am neither able to select multiple records in my query nor able to customize my query to get the desired results.
Below is the query that I want to create using query manager:
    SELECT P.EMPLID,P.BIRTHDATE, N.NAME, A.ADDRESS1, A.ADDRESS2, A.CITY
    FROM PS_PERSON P, PS_NAMES N, PS_ADDRESSES A
    WHERE P.EMPLID = N.EMPLID AND
    N.EMPLID = A.EMPLID AND
    P.BIRTHDATE BETWEEN to_date('1990/1/1','yyyy/mm/dd') and to_date('1991/1/1','yyyy/mm/dd');

    Hi,
As I cannot access your screenshot by the blocking of company firewall rules.
I'm guessing currently you are using PT 8.52.00 version, correct?
This should be a bug, that you need to apply the 8.52.0X patch, not sure which patch fix this, you can apply the latest one to solve this issue for no tab page of query manager. (PT 8.52.06)
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Saxon SI

  • How to get a field that using variable in order to create a query

    Hi,
I found a difficulty when creating a query. so, I would like to ask you some question.
    1. How to get a field that using variable which that field I want to put it in my query?
For example, I would like to take quantity field in inventory audit report. And when I put my cursor in
quantity field, there was only variable, item, etc. How to get this and put it in query?
    2. How to combined the invoice quantity with inventory audit report quantity?
    3. I have a query like this:
SELECT distinct T0.[DocDate] as 'Tanggal', T0.[DocNum] as 'No.Faktur', T1.[ItemCode] as 'Kode Barang',
T1.[Dscription] as 'Deskripsi', T1.[Quantity] as 'Quantity', ((T1.[LineTotal])/(T1.[Quantity])) as 'Harga
    Satuan', T1.[LineTotal] as 'Harga Total', T3.[CalcPrice] as 'HPP Satuan', ((T3.[CalcPrice]) * (T1.
[Quantity])) as 'HPP Total', T4.[ItmsGrpNam] as 'Jenis Barang', T5.[SlpName] as 'Nama Sales', T1.
    [WhsCode] as 'Kode Gudang' FROM [dbo].[OINV] T0 INNER JOIN [dbo].[INV1] T1 ON T0.DocEntry =
    T1.DocEntry INNER JOIN OITM T2 ON T1.ItemCode = T2.ItemCode INNER JOIN OINM T3 ON T2.ItemCode
    = T3.ItemCode INNER JOIN OITB T4 ON T2.ItmsGrpCod = T4.ItmsGrpCod INNER JOIN OSLP T5 ON
    T0.SlpCode = T5.SlpCode WHERE T3.[TransType] = '13' and T3.[CreatedBy] = T1.[DocEntry] and T0.
    [DocDate] >=[%0] and T0.[DocDate] <=[%1] and T4.[ItmsGrpNam] =[%2] and T1.[WhsCode] =[%3]
Is it possible if I just take one invoice with invoice quantity and only show up at once although I have a
lot item cost for that item? (because I'm using FIFOmethod).
Please help me.. cause I'm stuck with this thing :l.
Thank you very much, and I'm waiting your respon soon.
    Regards,
    Sisca

    Try this one:
SELECT distinct T0.DocDate as 'Tanggal', T0.DocNum as 'No.Faktur', T1.ItemCode as 'Kode Barang',
T1.Dscription as 'Deskripsi', T1.Quantity as 'Quantity', ((T1.LineTotal)/(T1.Quantity)) as 'Harga
    Satuan', T1.LineTotal as 'Harga Total', T3.CalcPrice as 'HPP Satuan', ((T3.CalcPrice) * (T1.
Quantity)) as 'HPP Total', T4.ItmsGrpNam as 'Jenis Barang', T5.SlpName as 'Nama Sales', T1.
    WhsCode as 'Kode Gudang'
    FROM dbo.OINV T0 INNER JOIN dbo.INV1 T1 ON T0.DocEntry =T1.DocEntry
    INNER JOIN OITM T2 ON T1.ItemCode = T2.ItemCode
    INNER JOIN OINM T3 ON T2.ItemCode = T3.ItemCode AND T3.TransType = '13' and T3.CreatedBy = T1.DocEntry AND T3.Warehouse = T1.WhsCode
    INNER JOIN OITB T4 ON T2.ItmsGrpCod = T4.ItmsGrpCod
    INNER JOIN OSLP T5 ON T0.SlpCode = T5.SlpCode
    WHERE T0.DocDate >=[%0\] and T0.DocDate <=[%1\] and T4.ItmsGrpNam =[%2\] and T1.WhsCode =[%3\]
    Thanks,

  • Query plan changes when query is used in CREATE TABLE AS

We've puzzled by the fact that EXPLAIN PLAN gives a much different output for a SELECT statement than it does when the same statement is used for CREATE TABLE . . . AS SELECT.
The bad part is that the CREATE TABLE version performs very badly, and that's what we want the query for.
Why does this happen? Is there a difference (from the database's point of view) between retrieving a set of rows to display to the user and putting that same set into a new table? Doesn't this make it harder to diagnose and fix query performance problems?
    Here's our query:
    create table query_test AS

Charles Hooper wrote a series of blog entries on a similar topic some time ago: http://hoopercharles.wordpress.com/2010/12/15/select-statement-is-fast-insert-into-using-the-select-statement-is-brutally-slow-1/ (including a lot of useful comments) and two following articles. I have to confess that I did not read the posts again - but I think you will find some good ideas how to analyze the problem.

  • Linking Access tables, creating a query with using both Access and Oracle

    Hello,
I am using 3.0.04.34 version Oracle Developer. I am supposed to create a script/procedure to use both Access tables and oracle tables together. There is an option in developer to copy the access tables into oracle. But it doesn't help me. Because when we updated the access tables
the copied ones are not be updated. How can I created a linked access tables to oracle and create a query with using both access and oracle table together.
I will appreciate if you guys help me. I look forward to hearing from you guys.
    Thanks,
    Pinar

    Pinar,
to be able to query MS Access tables in Oracle you need an additional product, the Oracle Database Gateway for ODBC. It allows you to link any foreign database into an Oracle database using a suitable ODBC driver. You can then access the MS Access tables through a database link based on the Database Gateway for ODBC. This will also allow you to join local Oracle and remote MS Access tables from your Oracle database.
There's a note on My Oracle Support which gives you more details:Document 233876.1 Options for Connecting to Foreign Data Stores and Non-Oracle Databases - For example - DB2, SQL*Server, Sybase, Informix, Teradata, MySQL
And there's also a dedicated Forum: Heterogeneous Connectivity

    Hi,
That API has restrictions on its usage. Please see http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23903_01/doc/doc.41/e21676/apex_util.htm#CHDICGDA
The lines to be referred to are Also, this method requires that the parameters that describe the BLOB to be listed as the format of a valid item within the application. That item is then referenced by the function.Regards,
PS: Your report must be on Page 98 , so it is able to reference the item P98_NAV_IMAGE. List being a Shared Component it may not be able reference that Item.

  • Creating sql query using 3 tables

There is database (supposed to be relational but it is not) and
I cannot change the tables and it is very difficult to create SQL query.
    Please, help!
    First table T1
    a1 char 20
    time timestamp
a2 char 7 (the same as t2.a2 when is trimmed)
    a3 number 5,0
    a4 number 8,4
    a5 number 7,3
    Second table T2
    a2 char 15
    b1 number 1,0
    b2 char 1,0
    b3 char 4
    a3 number 5,0
    Third table T3
    b3 char 4
    c1 char 4
    c2 number 7,3
    c3 number 8,4
So, I need to create query (is it possible at all!?) from those 3 tables (a1, a2, b1,b2,b3, a4, a5, c2,c3
where time is within interval (from, to), a3 in interval (1,2,3,4), t2.b3=t3.b3, t1.a2=t2.a2
group by or sorted by a1, then, a2.
    Any suggestion is welcome!
    Thanks!
By the way, I will use this query in Crystal Reports.

As I already mentioned, I received another conditions for the query, and when I create a new one, I
    First table T1
    a1 number 5,0
a2 char 7 (the same as t2.a2 when is trimmed)
    a3 number 8,4
    a4 number 7,3
    a_time timestamp
    Second table T2
    a2 char 15
    b1 number 1,0
    b2 char 1,0
    b3 char 4
    b4 char 4
    Third table T3
    c1 char 4
    c2 number 7,3
    c3 number 8,4
    b3 char 4
where if c1='MIN' c2, c3 return min values,
and if c1='MAX' c2,c3 return max values
    SQL query:
    select t1.a1, t1.a2, t2.b1, t2.b2, t2.b3, t1.a3, t1.a4, t3.c1,
    t3.c2, t3.c3, t2.b4
    from t1, t2, t3
    where (TRIM(t1.a2)=TRIM(t2.a2)
    and t1.a1=19
    and ((to_char(t1.a_time, 'YYYY-MM-DD') >= '2006-03-15')
    and (to_char(t1.a_time, 'YYYY-MM-DD') <= '2006-03-16')))
    and t3.b3=t2.b3)
    order by t1.a_time
    Result set:
    a1, a2, b1, b2, b3, a3, a4, c1('MAX'), c2', c3', b4
    a1, a2, b1, b2, b3, a3, a4, c1('MIN'), c2", c3", b4
So when I executed SQL query it returns 2 rows for the same a2.
I want to get 1 row for each a2 together with c3 (c4) min and c3 (c4) max values.
How to name columns for c2 min and c2 max (the same for c3) in order to retreive 1 row per a2 value, something like this:
    a1, a2, b1, b2, b3, a3, a4, c2min, c2max, c3min, c3max, b4
    Thanks

  • What are the naming conventions used for aggregates created from Query?

What are the naming conventions used for aggregates created from Query?

    Hi Reddy,
As you know aggregates are baby cubes right.
Aggregate names by default system has given as 6 digit number like 100831 but write the description by yourself.
Here you have to remember fact table is created with the name
    like for ex: /BIC/F100831.
while creating aggregates you can observe all options carefully till complete the creation process then after I am sure about
    your can get idea .
If problem still persists with you let me know the same until
    get out of that.
else assign points if this is sufficient.
    Thanks,

  • Create a query to find the open PO

    Hi all,
I want to create a query to find the Open PO which GR is not complete or Open invoice.
But I don't know how can I get the value: still to be invocied ,still to be delivery .
I want to know which table I can find these information.
I know a T-code :ME2L can run this report, but the format is not user friendly,so I want to create a new query .

    Hi
No need to create any query to find an Open PO.
You can use ME2N or ME2L or ME2N with proper scope of list and selection parameter.
In scope of list you can use the ALV one to get the user friendly report, if you do not have the ALV then you can
create your own scope of list by following the steps.
    1) press F1 and click on the customizing icon
    2) Click the button W/O specifying the project
    3) Click Define scope of list
    4) Copy any scope of list for example BEST and rename it as BEST_ALV and Tick the check box AL on the Bottom
    5) You can get this new scope of list in the tcods mentioned above and execute thereports.
    6) Once you get the output you can modify the layoout  to get the user friendly format. Also you can download into excel sheet.
    Hope it helps
    Thanks/karthik

  • How can I create a query with web service data control?

I need to create a query with web service data control, in WSDL, it's query operation, there is a parameter message with the possible query criteria and a return message contains the results. I googled, but cannot find anything on the query with web service. I cannot find a "Named Criteria" in web service data control like normal data control. In Shay's blog, I saw the topics on update with web service data control. How can I create a query with web service data control? Thanks.
