Downloading a attached file

Hi,
I am implmenting a jsp screen that search for instances.
When the user finds the searched instance, he can see all the instance variables. In order to do that I have implemented another JSP that shows the variables.
But, the instances have attachment. So, I need to show all attachments to the user and the user should be able to download these attachments.
So, are there some way that allow me to put in JSP a link to a instances´ attchments ?
Thanks a lot
Marcos

Hi Ruben,
I have tried to implement the global activity with instance access. But, when I make in this way, the access to the global activity in the workspace is changed. I mean that the link that was shown in the left side of the screen goes to the line of the instance.
Is there another way?
Thanks a lot!

  • I am interested in downloading email attachment files directly to my App.

    Looked at dropbox, pdf reader and other Apps which automatically appear as an option when you are trying to download an attachment in your Ipad email. What kind of method or functions that an App need to include so email programs can recognize it and show as an option when you try to download email attachment?
    Please help!

    I've just installed it on my iMac (also Mt. Lion) but it didn't keep my settings from OpenOffice.org version 3.
    By mucking around in the Library, I think I've at least gotten it to use my templates.
    There's a user discussion list, and  I asked there about this, but so far have not heard back yet.
    I've been using Open Office for years, and am quite happy with it; I also have MS office but that's bloated and cumbersome.
    Pages (for $10 from the app store) is another interesting alternative for a word processor.

  • How to get mail title when opening attached file

    Hello,
    I'm using thunderbird v15.0.1, and I would like to collect and sort all attached files I received along name of the email senders. I succeeded to plug my application to thunderbird which "on demand" is able to download the attached file in a generic location; Now I would like to sort these files along sender names and/or email subject. How can I retreive the name and/or the subject of the email when I open an attached file?

  • My Safari quits unexpectedly while trying to open attached files or download?

    I had that problems once. My friend reinstalled My IMac for me. It worked. But now it is happening again. Safari quits unexpectedly while I am trying to open attached files or download anything. I hate that. I want that to never happen again. And I don't actually know how to reinstall the system. I am afraid of doing smthing wrong. So I have to call apple or my friend. What  is the easiest way and solution for that? What is the reason for this problem?
    Thank you.

    Try the following:
    1. Shutdown the computer and then start it up again, see if Safari repeats the problem.
    2. Consider the source file, if it is just one or the same ones all the time but other open, the files are the problem and not Safari.
    3. Run a permissions repair on the mac. Do this via Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility and select the hard drive (Second Icon with the Hard Drive Name, not the one showing the drive size above it) in the left pane and in the bottom middle click on permissions repair, don'yt worry you won't break the computer.

    HI Arghadip Kar,
    By using the Function Module SAP_WAPI_GET_ATTACHMENTS, we can get the Object id of the attachment, but not the content of the Attachment.
    But, my requirement is to get the content of the attachment.
    Best Regards,

  • Open File Dialog appears TWICE when using servlet to download an attachment

    Hi,
    This is KILLING me!!! Please HELP.....
    I am using a servlet to download an xml file, which I build on the fly based on user interaction.
    The open file dialog appears nicely and I hit open. The dialog pops up again immediately and I have to click open again in order to open the file.
    This works fine when file extension is txt and I DONOT have to click twice. Here is the code:
    String xmlString = getXMLString(); //builds xml
    String fileName = "myFile.xml";
    response.setContentType("application/x-download");
    response.setHeader("Content-disposition", "attachment;filename=" +fileName);
    PrintWriter out = response.getWriter();
    out.print(xmlString);
    out.flush();
    I am using IE6.0 sp2

  • Files always download as "attachment.ashx" instead of the file name and file type that they actually are.

    Since I have installed the new version of Firefox (version 8.0), every single file I download is downloaded as "attachment.ashx" and won't open. I have to change the name as well as the file type in order to open the document.
    This happens regardless of if I'm downloading from email, from a website, etc.. All of the files I have downloaded also have already been named and had file types appended, but Firefox is changing them every single time. I have never had this problem before using the same sites and downloads.

    Please hurry up with a solution! This is causing havoc, as I cannot open any attachments at all! It defaults to Adobe Photoshop, and then I get an error message that it is the wrong type of file. These are all Word docs! I can't get my work done! Is there some kind of work around that I can use in the meantime to open these things?

    Do you have some solution for this

    Hello jlremington and welcome to the forums
    Depending on the email integration type and software running on the device
    will determine if you are able to use this feature.  Can I get the version
    of software that is on the device? This can be found under Options -
    About.  Also what type of email account are the messages coming
    from?  Are you using a BES account or BIS account?  If your are using a BIS account what type of
    integrations are you using? POP, IMAP, OWA, Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail etc…

    I have an iPad air and have downloaded the microsoft app excel.  I have an email with an excel attacment.  When I "tap to download" the attachment, it automatically converts to a PDF file and opens as a "view only" document.  I want it to open with the excel app so I can see and update the spreadsheet.  Please help.  Thanks!

    If Excel works as do other apps, you should be able to tap and hold on the attachment and then select "Open in Excel" in the window that will open. Note that you need to be subscribed to and signed into Office 365 to be able to edit documents in Microsoft's apps.
    Regards.

  • Downloading attachment file

    Downloading attachment file on my Nokia Lumia 1520 is not possible...can someone help me please...thank you.

    In order to troubleshoot, it would help to know what happens when you try, and also what kind of file you are trying to access.
    Note that files attached to e-mails may cause problems if they are not recognised file types.

  • HTML content is shown in the downloaded attachment file when it is a .txt

    Before deploying, in Jdeveloper, files can be downloaded for all filetypes (xls, ppt, doc, txt),
    and all can be viewed correctly.
    But after deploying (ct is on 11.5.10.2 RUP5), when we are on this xxxx.jsp page with
    file download button links and we click on the download button, all files can be downloaded
    and viewed correctly for filetypes (xls, ppt, doc) except for .txt files. .txt file can be
    downloaded but when viewed, the text inside is appended with html contents after the original text.
    eg. The original text in abc.txt is "test".
    Then the file downloaded and opened will contain:
    +"test+
    +<!-- METADATA_SOURCE - JRAD --><!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01+
    Transitional//EN"><html dir="ltr" lang="en-US-ORACLE9I"><head><title>Oracle
    Applications</title>..."
    Found a similar bug6313329 which has html contents appended to wf notification mail
    and is fixed with patch 6313329 but since our customers issue is on OAF pages after delploying
    on 11.5.10.2 ATG_PF.H RUP5 env, not sure whether this patch will work.
    Anyone encountered such issue? Any advise is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    I'm trying this to download files , txt file can be downloaded .
    but , the text inside is appended with html contents after the original text .

    HttpServletResponse response = (HttpServletResponse)sessionDictionary. selectValue(null,"HttpServletResponse");
    BufferedOutputStream out = new BufferedOutputStream(response.getOutputStream());
    if((filename.substring(filename.lastIndexOf("."),filename.length())).equals(".txt")){
    response.setContentType("application/x-txt; charset=Shift-JIS");
    response.setHeader("Content-disposition","attachment; filename=\""+filename+"\"");
    InputStream instream = bdata.getBinaryStream();

    e1.printStackTrace();
    Please suggest. its urgent.
