Downloading to .csv from BIEE produces wrong data

I'm sorry if this has been discussed before, please do direct me to the thread if this has been resolved.
Anyway, I did a simple report to simulate one that is being requested by the user. One particular field displays a number with two decimal places. I find no issues with the display, up to the point when I download the report as data (.csv). Viewing the data (in Excel - by default) also do not present any problems until I select the specific cell with the value.
The data which should read out 11.87, for instance, has been converted to 11.8699999656. I checked if the data may have been changed through retrieval, but this was a simple select case and the data in the Oracle table also contained 11.87.
Please do reply if you have any ideas how I could investigate this further.

Hi all,
as this is unfortunately a normal excel behavior we did a workaround and put an << ' >> ahead of the output so that CSV interrprets the date as text, that solved our problem.

Strange issue - WD4A when called from EP returns wrong data

Hi Experts,
I am facing a very strange issue with WD4A. I have created one RFC. WD4A program calls this RFC. When I am executing the RFC using se37 it gives me 10 records. When I am executing the same RFC from WD4A program (Web Dynpro Application -- Right Click -
test) the program is returning 10 records.
I have created one iView in Portal. When I am calling the same program from portal, sometimes it returns 9 records and sometimes 10 records. I just refresh the iview and no of records getting displayed in screen changes.
I have cheked the code many times. The code is perfectly fine.
I have used clear and refresh command in the beginigng of RFC.
What may be wrong? I have wasted my full dayfor resolving the issue. But I could not succeed.
Is it due to some BASIS issue? Is it due to some server session issue?
I have used business graphics in my application. Is it due to this? Whether IGS server and ECC contain different data?

The System configuration in the EP is pointing to the right system and right client. I am using same setting for other Iviews. The other iViews are working fine.
How we can apply break point in WDA. I beliveve I have to meet following requirement:
1) Suppose EP user is 4755. The EP user 4755 is mapped to R/3 user 4755 and R/3 pernr 4755.
2) Backend R/3 user 4755 should have se80
3) Backend R/3 user should have debug access.
The authorization will not provide such accesses for backend user 4755.
Do we have any workaround?

How do I fix my macbook pro from displaying the wrong dates across the entire system?

Hello, for a while now my MacBook Pro has started to display the dates across the whole system weidly. The dates can go above 300/MM/YYYY. Is it the PRAM battery that could have run out or is it something else? Here is an example that I took today in the Calander application. As you can see it displays the 17 May, 2013 as 137 May 2013.
If there is a solution for this i would really want to know because this is starting to anoy me a little.

Edit: Ironicaly I found the solution right after posting this, no help is needed any more. Everything is fixed now

Date parsing producing wrong date

My timezone is BRST, and there is a problem that I just can't solve...
String format = "yyyy-MM-dd";
SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat(format);
Date date = sdf.parse("2010-10-17");
System.out.println(date); // = Sun Oct 17 01:00:00 BRST 2010It's supposed to be "Sun Oct 17 *00:00:00* BRST 2010", but it adds one hour to date.
How could I create this date at midnight?

On Oct 17, 00:00:00 you had to adjust the clock for 01:00:00.

What about Oct 17, 00:00:00 and Oct 17, 01:00:00?
Kind of obvious that one of them is a valid time and the other isn't.
Java or the OS or some international convention or whatever decided that only Oct 17, 01:00:00 is a valid time and Oct 17, 00:00:00 is not.
To put it differently, when you do not specify hh:mm:ss, it is assumed to be the very first valid time on that day. Usually it is 00:00:00, but not always.

PJC Calendar setDate Wrong date format. Date change failed?

Forms 10.1.2 using forms demos pjc code.
The calendar pjc I added to my form works except I can't initialize it with a date. If I try to initialize a date it always produces 'Wrong date format. Date change failed.' error.
In a post-query trigger, I initialize the calendar's date using:
SET_CUSTOM_PROPERTY('PJC.CALENDAR',1,'setDate',to_char(:lead.date_received,'DD.MM.YYYY'));
In the java console, this yields:
Warning: Wrong date format. Date change failed.
Warning: Wrong date format. Date change failed.
I get the same result when using a hardcoded date like:
SET_CUSTOM_PROPERTY('PJC.CALENDAR',1,'setDate','01.12.2006');
What is the flaw in my incantation?

Downloads with Safari show wrong date

Hi, this is my first post and I'm stumped.
When I download a file (i.e. PDF) via Safari on either my Imac or Macbook (4.03 and 4.02) both running Leopard 10.5.7 it shows up in my downloads folder with the wrong date: wrong year, month, and day.
When I download the same file with Firefox the download date is correct.
Does anyone have any suggestions to remedy this annoying problem? Thanks.

Ok. I just downloaded a PDF via Safari that shows the creation date as: 23/12/08 1:10 AM.
Same file downloaded via Firefox shows date correctly: today at 9:16 PM.
The date from Safari has been all over the map... 03, 07, 00 etc. all different.

Hi Srini,
We are using Java based ETL specifically written for our application. we are using sqlplus to make DB connections. am using vi editor to see the data. After the Extraction process the data processed in also in the wrong format.

When I download a new app from the App Store it does not show up on my home screen but I can find it in my settings but out from it says no data

When I download a new app from App Store and press open when it's complete, it won't do anything, and when I look on my home screens it's nowhere to be found but if I go to settings and look under icloud and usage, I can find them but out from it says no data. Try resetting the phone. Push both the home and lock button at the same time until it goes off. Keep them pushed until the Apple logo come up...
Also, try deleting the app and downloading it again.

Photos from cameras or scans have only one layer (the 'background' layer).
You can start with that 'background' layer and duplicate it or add other layers in the editing process. For instance you can make a selection of a subject and put it on another layer; a common use is to desaturate the 'background' and to keep the color in the selected subject in your newly created layer.

Yes, it will use cellular data. If you know that you are going to out of wifi range, you can predownload some music whilst you have a wifi connection.

I downloaded 3 chapters from an audiobook which purchased. When I try to burn a copy of those 18 paragraphs, the burned copy does not have the story in sequence, like paragraphs 1 through 20, but scrambles them, eg 1, then 18, 5, 9,16 etc. what is wrong?

Burning to audio cd?
I downloaded 22 paragraphs from an audio book, which I purchased and attempted to burn them to an audio cd.
The burn process worked; however, the chapters were not in sequence.
For example th enew cd began with ch 19, then 3, 4, 19, 12, 7, and on and on.
My great hope was for it to begin with #1; then follow sequentially and end with #22.
What am I doing wrong?

Uploading photos to iCloud photo library using icloud.com will result in wrong date/time of the photos, which is, to be precise, 15 hours later than the actual time in EXIF. Thanks in advance.

iTunes is not a photo management program, never has been.
Delete the pictures (or remove them from the folder that syncs). This has absolutely nothing to do with iTunes.
If the Photo tab is not displaying in iTunes, resize the window.

JSObject returns wrong date. How can I extract correct date from digital signature?

I'm trying to extract name and date from digital signatures by using JSObject in Excel VBA, but JSObject returns wrong date. Year, month, hour and minute are correct, but only day is incorrect.
Here is my code. I'm using Acrobat 8.1.3.
Please tell me what's wrong with this code and how I can extract correct date from digital signatures.

You can use TDMS file format to save the data. I have attached a reference Vi.
On button click you can log the data or remove the case structure and continuous log the complete acquisition data.

i'm using below method to dowload to excel from frontend (Backened is R/3).
1) l_string will have the entire xls date ( with sepeartor cl_abap_char_utilities=>horizontal_tab and cl_abap_char_utilities=>newline)
2) Converitng string to xstring using FM SCMS_STRING_TO_XSTRING
3) pumping excel date to browser using IF_HTTP_ENTITY~SET_DATA
4) creating URL using GUID_CREATE fm.
it's downloding the excel file but funny date.
example
percentage 1.5 coming as Jan 50 and Percent 3.5 coming March 50.
How to avoid this funny conversion.
