Dropdown nav menu disappears when scrolling

Hi Guys,
I am fairly new to CC (my last version was MX), and as I lost a lot of time on joomla, have come back to Dreamweaver and am using a (purchased) template to kickstart things, which I now seem to be gettiing the hang of... except for an issue I have encountered with the horizontal dropdown navigation menu. At the (temporary) link provided below - whenever I hover over the "Sports" menu, the dropdown menu appears with the selection of various sports, below it (Archery, Baseball, Basketball etc) - but as soon as I begin to move my cursor down that list, the entire dropdown menu disappears completely - making any of the selections unreachable. It doesnt seem to happen so much with the Self Help menu, which has a much shorter dropdown selection. I am unsure what I can do to control this.. any thoughts would be much appreciated! http://www.mindtraining.net/dreamweaver/index5.html

I don't think your problem is as much a z-index thing as it is a positioning thing. Your subnav is too far away from the parent link. Try this:
#nav .subNav {
    position:absolute;
    left:-9999px; /* this wipes the subnavs off the page */

Im in a crossroad trouble and think that one of my problems is that i can resolve it changying the first load of my site and relink to one anchor link.

As I understand, all partial checks say that cache is good. But ending doValidation=1, probably, means that request will be sent. Do not see any reason.

TS3230 Safari menu disappears when I open it?

In Mavericks, why does my Safari menu disappear when I open it, then I have to use Force Quit to quit Safari?

I want to access the options in the context menu when clicking on a dropdown list in the bookmarks toolbar, but the context menu disappears when I try to click on one of the options. How can I keep the menu from disappearing?

I have several dropdown lists in my bookmarks toolbar and would like to access the properties for some of the the items. This used to work fine. However, now, when I go to the list and place the cursor on a particular item, the context menu that is usually available on a right click disappears when I try to access one of the options. This is the menu that begins with Open. What can I do to regain this functionality? I really need the information in the Properties section. I'm using Firefox 3.6.8

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
Also check the Mouse driver settings in the Control Panel.

Safari and chrome, text box disappears when scrolling (created in adobe muse)

I have noticed with creating three different sites, that when you scroll, sometimes the text boxes disappear, when you scroll back up, the box reappears.
I have changed the font to a websafe font, so that it isnt rasterised as a picture..
If anyone has experienced similar or the same I would be so interested to hear from you.

Menu disappears when accessing menu items in Web Dynpro

Hi friends,
I have a peculiar problem. I created a webdynpro application in WD for ABAP which displays a menu of Employee self services(ESS). In the window on the leftside the menu is displayed. if you click on any of the service name, the corresponding service will be displayed on the right side of the window. If another service is clicked, the previous service session will be logged out and the new service will be started in a new session. This is working fine.
But if the user clicks on two or more services alternately, for a random number of times, sometimes the menu disappears and the whole of the window is occupied by the service frame itself. Sometimes this happens for a second click itself and sometimes it doesn't happen at all. Some other times it happens after clicking the services for nearly 50 times.
It is difficult to test even because we do not know after how many attempts the menu will disappear and whether it will disappear at all.
Can anyone suggest a solution.

Hi Sujesh,
First create a menu. Add menu items and then bind the menu item events to view controller actions. Define an event parameter mapping if you need to determine the menu item that triggered the action, or use separate actions for the menu items.

File menu disappears when I switch applications.

Hello,
I recently purchased Illustrator and I have a bizarre problem with the menu bar.
In Illustrator, whenever I switch to a different application on my PC, e.g. switch to Outlook or Excel which are already running, the file menu disappears!
As I hover my mouse over where the menu should be, it comes back bit at a time.
Has anyone encountered this before?
I’m on a laptop running Win7 in x64.

Pages layout disappears when scrolling

When using pages, after i select the template i want to use, i begin to edit the template. but if i scroll down, even just a little, the entire template vanishes. It is only when i scroll all the way up that the template is visible in the work space.
What is going on? I dont understand. How can I work on a template when I can't even see it?
Somebody please help, this is getting quite annoying.

Thanks for your reply, however I do not think it is the document that has the problem. It is the program itself. Here is a detailed description of what happens:
1. I open pages
2. I pick out a template
3. Template opens and I want to edit it
4. I scroll down to view the lower part of the template (zoomis on 125%)
5. Template disappears as soon as i start scrollng down. When I scroll back up to the top the template re-appears.
If i change the zoom setting to "fit to page" everything is ok, but I have a hard time editing because what I see is too small.
This is a strange problem is is really getting quite annoying becaus I cant use pages for anything because of this.

Keeping Menu Visible When Scrolling Page

Hi, I have a flash website that has a fair amount of conent
on one of the pages such that you need to scroll down a few pages
to get to the end of it. I have a verticaly oriented menu bar on
the right side of the screen that I would like to move down and
stay visible as the user scrolls to view the whole page. Right now
the user has to scroll all the back up to the top to use the
navigation bar. My menu bar is setup as a movie object in flash.

There's a javascript event that fires when a user scrolls
using either the mouse wheel or clicking the up or down arrows. You
can catch it in javascript with this: window.onscroll =
doSomething;
I'd have that function adjust the position of the div tag
containing your flash movie.

Dropdown list tooltip changing when scrolling over values in the list

Hi,
I have a dropdown list where the tooltip is bound to a context attribute.
Once I select a value in the dropdown list the tooltip changes with it.
What I would like to have is that when I scroll through the dropdown list (go over the values of the dropdown list) tooltip changes.
How can I trigger an event on 'go over the value in dropdown list' ?

    Yes It is possible to due that for that you have to do following things
1) Please connect tooltip to some element of context of Type string
2) Now On select of particular value populate that text in element of node.
Just take case you made some node called 'Ttip' and make element as temptemp.
now on select you will populate appropiate content based on condition of value

OWA - save menu disappears when switching between calendar and mail

Hi everybody! We recently migrated to from Exch 07 to 13, and there seems to be a small problem in OWA.
In OWA 2013, when users creates an invite in Calendar, and switch back to Mail, a menu appears (see below) and then disappears immediately. Instead of allowing users to choose whether to save or discard changes to their invites, it automatically discards,
and goes to Mail. It happens in both IE and Chrome, and for all users. Any ideas what's
going on? Tried all the usual - clearing cache, etc. It doesn't appear to be a problem with the client. Thanks!

From your description, I recommend you create a new mailbox in your Exchange server 2013 and verify if this new user has the same issue. What's more, this issue doesn't appear on Outlook, you can try to recreate OWA virtual directory to check the result.

Jeditorpane/html - images disappear when scrolling

The title says it-
I've had this issue with JEditorPanes in my own code and also with the Java Help viewer. I'm using 1.4.1_01.
I don't have a lot of images or any very large ones. My pages are quite standard, and very simple- just text and greatly reduced screenshots.
When I scroll up and down in the component, however, images either completely disappear or part of them disappears. Reloading the page fixes it. Definately a repaint issue of some sort. But, in the case of Java Help, I don't have access to the JEditorPane to hack in any kind of fix.
Whats the deal here? I can't find any bug postings about this one but it certainly seems to be a major bug.

I'm glad to hear someone else is having the problem. Any ideas on a work around?
There has to be some work around. For example, I'm using IDEA for my IDE and it is running under 1.4.1_01- clearly they have used Java Help but their help view isn't having the same problem mine is. I hope I find a solution soon. This is an absolute show stopper. I can't deploy something that is clearly broken.
It is next to impossible that this is a user error- I haven't even written any code! It is all Java Help's code. I've even tried to turn off all the fancy drawing that is part of Swing, and turned off all hardware acceleration in Windows.

CS6: Application menu disappears when document size is maximized

Whenever I maximize a document in Illu. CS6 it overrides the application menues! It simply covers my whole screen making it impossible to reach my menues unless i drag the documents corners to make it smaller or click the minimize icon. Is it supposed to be like this? Very annoying.

Well, I remember having a chat about fullscreen views when CS5 came out cause there was reports of simmilar problems and I had some instabilites myself, I actually placed an international call to Adobe in Ireland cause I had just bought the CS5 MA Collection (Not cheap as you may know) back then and the correspondance actually ended up with me having to return the hard copies in return for a new one. when I installed that new software I didn't experience the same problem. Now I have a brand new CS6 MA Collection bought in 2014 and the fullsize issues are even worse, meaning they are constant. It is hardly my macines Larry cause as mentioned I've installed this MA Collection on two different machines. Both of them high-end graphic stations that way exceeds Adobes minimum hardware requirments. I chose to keep my XP 32-bit license on one of them cause I enjoy that OS, the other is a W7 machine. They are not connected in any way, they are stand-alone clients and it's just too strange if both machines should be the weak spot here. I don't think so. I've been Goggling around about this particulare problem and I'm not alone experiencing the same things, it's about time Adobe made a bugfix and sorted this out, cause its developed into a major fault.
I posted this problem here on this forum just in case someone could deliver a spesific problem solver that could temporarly fix the issue, a new upgrade file or something, getting in touch with Adobe has become all impossible. All I get is some ignorant indian support worker sitting in New Dehli reading from a pre-made script. It's almost comical. I'm pretty sure this is a class A bug in Illustrator, more so now than ever. Unless someone had a definitive plausable cause description to why this is happening on two different machines. I have a corp. licens so I can install on more than two clients, I will install Illustrator CS6 on a third machine with W7 tomorrow. My best guess is that it won't solve anything, if Adobe don't man up and fix this bug I will be forced to return my Master Collection cause this error is just way to massive to deal with in silence. It's like buying a car that only turns left.

[iPhone] ActivityIndicator disappears when scrolling table

I have a UIActivityIndicatorView which I set as the accessoryView of a UITableViewCell. I call startAnimating on the indicator and all works well.
Then I scroll the table, and the indicator disappears for no apparent reason, and stays gone even after scrolling has finished. I've tried clearing the hidesWhenStopped property, in case the scrollview decides to stop the indicator, so at least it should remain visible, but no luck.

Acrobat's menu disappears when using QApplication even with qt_mac_set_native_menubar(false)

I am working an Acrobat plugin (SDK acrobat 8) which uses Qt Widgets. It works fine with Qt 4.3.4.
After upgrading to Qt 4.6.4 carbon, it is no longer possible to see Acrobat's menu if QApplication is instanciated.

With those 3 lines, the acrobat menu does not load, neither can it be quit other than with a force quit.
There are no warning messages, everything seems to be working fine, except that is really does not.
Without those 3 lines, acrobat works well as long as not widgets are created (see QApplication doc).
