DropDownByKey and default selection

Hi all,
In context i have a node Color wiht one attribute ColorText.
I populate a dropdown element at run time with this code:ù
ISimpleTypeModifiable myTypeColore = wdThis.wdGetAPI().getContext().getModifiableTypeOf("Colore.ColoreText");
IModifiableSimpleValueSet valuesColore = myTypeColore.getSVServices().getModifiableSimpleValueSet();
valuesColore.put("green","green");

valuesColore.put("yellow","yellow");
ColorDropDown.bindSelectedKey("Color.ColorText");
I want to set red(or another color) like default color, but i don't find the method that do this:

Hi Andrea,
Assuming 'ColoreText' is an attribute of a simpletype :
wdContext.currentColoreElement().setColoreText(<key>) will set the default color to the value corresponding to the given key.
For eg: to set green as defaultcolor in your case :
wdContext.currentColoreElement().setColoreText("green");
you can also set it throug the index of the entry as :
Object key = valueset.getKey(<index>);
wdContext.currentColoreElement().setColoreText((String)key);

Default selection on current month, week and date

Hi,
We are on Dashboard 4.1 sp3 the same version as BI.
The dashboard report is using LiveOffice connection. We are now facing an issue with default selection on current month, week and date.
The dashboard report drilled down from month, to week, then to date. The dashboard feed -live office report is on month/week/date ascending order - becuase we have running average calcualtion on LO report, it seems have to be in ascending order to get the correnct runnning average.
I tried to on Insertion to change default seletion, it works on month, but it doesnt working on week and daily.
but when LO report is on ascending order, on dashboard column chart the default selection is not on the current month, week and date.
Is there a way to solve the issue. Could anyone please help.

How to hide some fields in default selection screen in hr abap

Hi experts,
I have created default selection screen,in that in the Period option I wants display only 'Today'.
And in the selection criteria i wants to display personnel number,companycode,personnelsubarea,employee status and instead of payroll area i wants to display 'Org unit'.please tell me step by step procedure,that could be greate helpfull.

How to change default selection in compensation planning

Hi experts,
We have upgraded our portal to EHP1 sp04.
I need to change the default selection which it currently shows in "Employee Selection" under
Compensation Planning-->Compensation Planning.
When a user clicks on Compensation Planning>Compensation PLanning> he comes in an iview with 4 steps:
There is one "Employee Selection" scroll down view, I need the default to be "Direct Reports"

The default it shows is "Employees from organizational units", I need to change it to "Direct reports". Can someone tell me how I should proceed about it.

I have solved this issue.
Go into SPRO>integration with other sap system>business packages>mysaperp>organizational structure view
group organizational structure view.
select mss_ecm_sel and change the nos. accordingly.

Default Buffer Pool Busy Waits and Default Buffer Pool Hit Ratio

Hi experts,
I am having oracle database with version 11gR2 on windows server 2003 platform.
I am continuously getting alerts related to "Default Buffer Pool Busy Waits" and "Default Buffer Pool Hit Ratio."
I have fired some of the queries(which contain view like v$session_wait) to get information of sessions that causing the same issue,but unable to get it.
Please help me to resolve the same issue.

i am using Logical database EQI (equipment) its realated to PM module.....
i dont want to use the default selection screen.
instead i want to process my own selection screen inputs..
(ie..) i want to fetch the data using the GET event using my own selection screen inputs.

I have a simple solution for this.i think it will help you.Do u have any idea about query designer in SAP.
by using it we can satisfy u r reuqirement.follow the below steps.
1)Go to SQ01
2)In the screen click on QuickViewer option.then you will go to another screen.
3)In that screen give any name starting with 'Z' in the QuickView box and then click on create.
4)In the dialogbox enter title and comments and then select LogicalDatabase as the DATASOURCE and give DataSourceLogicalDatabase as EQI.check the radio button Basis Mode and then click on ok.
5)then on the screen in the first half of leftside you will get another screen with the columns DATAFIELDS,LISTFIELDS,SELECTIONFIELDS,TECHNICALNAME.
6)In the DATAFIELDS column expand the tree,then u can see the fields what we have,and what you want.and also you can see the check boxes in front of the columns LISTFIELDS,SELECTIONFIELDS.
7)LISTFIELDS means the output fields,SELECTIONFIELDS means the selection screen fields(equnr).
check the checkboxes as per u r requirement and click on execute.
8)then a progam will be created.to know the program name after executing the program GO TO
SYSTEM->STATUS.then u can see the program name there.

What i have done is in the cube level, in the dimensions i have made specific properties and set to key/text in development, so its working fine in development of the analyzer, but still its showing text only in quality analyzer.
please give me the solutions if you know any.

No it won't help.
You can't set a value into an <input type="file"> control at all. The user has to put values in themselves.
The reason behind this is security. If the programmer could put any value they liked in there, you could upload any file at all from a users computer without their intervention. eg C:\windows\system32\passwords.txt
Bottom line: you can't put a default value into the input type="file" control.
And a good thing too ;-)

Default Selection Issue in Dashboard Prompt

Hi All,
I am using the below logical SQL in SQL Results for Default Selection of a column in a dashboard prompt,
SELECT "Facts"."Service Provider", "Config"."Integration Id" FROM "IMONIT - Transaction Log" WHERE "Config"."Integration Id"='@{inttype}'
Here, I have used a presentation variable, which is set by another prompt. Also the Facts and Config table are joined in RPD. The issue is it does not selects the values returned by the logical SQL by default. But if i use the same logical SQL in SQL Results of Choice List Values for the same column in the prompt, the logical SQL does work and populates the prompt only with the values returned by the logical SQL.
Any help is much appreciated.

Deepak, actually the scenario is that I am navigating to the page with the dashboard prompt from another answers report located on another dashboard page. This SQL works perfectly when I press the GO button of prompt on the same page. But its not working when I am navigating to the same page with the prompt from any other report. Any ideas ?

I have a dashboard prompt with columns year and month.month column i kept as slider in that default selection i kept 45 days backward from current date,since my requirement is the end user have the option to selection the day backward instead of 45 they need to selection either 45 or 30 15 15 based on that they have to run the report.can any help in this regards.

Hi GN,
Create an variable prompt ( Eg: v_days ) and add custom values as 15,30,45,100 into it and keep the default as 45.
Use v_days variable in another column prompt (Eg: Period) with the format MON-YYYY.
Now when user selects no of days , period will get the corresponding change.

The Multi-Select is now working, not sure what I did wrong earlier. However the "Can select all" option when building the parameter does not work as advertised, though I was able to get around that as well.

Then test your report. Select "All" from the LOV and click view. Result - No Rows Returned.
Selecting a "Single" or "Multiple Values" values from the LOV does work.
The way I am getting around the problem is to uncheck the "Can select all" and then manually select all the values in the LOV in order to get the "All".
