DSWSBOBJE deployment on Web LOGIC

Hi Forums members,
I thought to submit a case to BO/SAP but am first trying it out here.
I have deployed dswsbobje on our Development, integration and Production platforms.
Dev is a single machine, ITG is dual machine( WL is on two) and Pro is distributed over15 machines( WL is on 4).
One of the application we are hosting on our architecture uses java code to run their reports, they use /dswsbobje/services to connect to their portal and run reports off that portal.
On development the load balancer URL is working when they integrate it to their portal.
However ITG Load balancer URL is giving

on the Pro side,
I am getting
QaaWS Servlet is not valid.
ErrorServer G4W0056 not found or server may be down
See Web Application log to get more info or read QaaWS v2 documentation starting with sectionon all WL URL's

As you have a BOE cluster running, try setting the domain value in the dsws.properties file to @clustername or clustername.

BIRT can not deployed to web logic 8.1.

When I deploy the BIRT application in exploded folder structure to web logic 8.1, it failed. I found out org.eclipse.equinox.registry.jar can not be deployed to web logic. An exception is thrown like following:

Then what's wrong? How to fix this?

I've run into the same issue using weblogic 8.1 SP 3 with jdk 1.4.2
Adding
     <container-descriptor>
          <prefer-web-inf-classes>true</prefer-web-inf-classes>
     </container-descriptor>
did not help.

Single Sign on for 2 Web Applications deployed on Web Logic Server

We want to implement single sign on for our application.
We want to deploy 2 applications(JSF/ADF) on web logic server say
webapp1 and webapp2.
If user already logged into webapp1 with valid userid and password and
then he access the link for webapp2 he should not be asked to provide
the credential details userid and password.
How we can implement this
1. If user credentials are maintained/authenticated against LDAP
2. If user maintained/authenticated are from database

you are in the wrong forum. This one is related to Oracle forms. Try the ADF-forum instead.

Hot deploy on web logic 4.5.1

Hi,
I'm following the steps for hot deployment given at
http://www.weblogic.com/docs45/techdeploy/hotdeploy.html using
weblogic.deploy
I'm trying to redeploy an EJB with the same jar filename.
It gives the following error - NullPointerException
at
weblogic.rmi.extensions.BasicRequest.sendReceive(BasicRequest.java:44)
at
weblogic.ejb.common.EJBManager_WLStub.deploy(EJBManager_WLStub.java:174)
at
weblogic.deploy.deploy(deploy.java:132).................
Please help. Any suggestions would be very helpful.

In your composite.xml file the declarations you have for your reference or service definitions are missing correct endpoint definitions. You need something similiar to the above, pointing to your services.

Enabling https to the bpel process deployed in web logic server

I have to enable https instead http is to ensure that the communication is encrypted for my bpel process(bpel version - 10.1.3.5.0), which will be deployed in weblogic server11g(10.3.1).

Changes not showing in other instance of web logic server after deployment

Hi Everyone,
My Jdev version is 11.1.2.3.0.
I have developed one ADF application and deployed into web logic server from Jdev itself and is working fine with the URL.
Now the same EAR file is deployed into other instance of web logic server. it was working fine too.
NOw i have modified some columns in the table in ADF page and modified the URL of the page in Controller project properties Java EE Application tab and deployed the page in first instance through Jdeveloper only and is working very fine with the new URL and with the new changes.
But when i deploy this EAR file into other instance of the web logic server i got following problems:
1. URL is not being changed. --> page is running with the old URL only.
2. Changes to the ADF page is not reflected.
3. Test point for this application is blank in web logic server.
What can be the issues with this?
Any suggestions will be really useful.

About the context URL:
There are 2 ways to change the context URL, 1 for design time (the one you used) and 1 for deploy time.

JNDI differences between Tomcat and Web Logic 6.1

I am looking at two difference piece of code :
Application developed and deployed under Tomcat ( perfectly working )
Context initCtx = new InitialContext();
Context ctx = (Context) initCtx.lookup("java:comp/env");

This is instead an application developed and deployed under Web Logic

when i deploy the WL application in Tomcat ( as a WAR file ) I got "dbase name not bound in this context", any guess why this is happening even though I already set up the server.xml :

However I think I have not been clear.
This is the situation. We have Web Logic on production and Tomcat on our Intranet.
So I am in need of making the WLogic app working under Tomcat "Without touching the code" of the application. The only thing I can modify at this point is the Tomcat installation. If it's possible.
The only problem I have is with the piece of code of the Data Base Connection. I got "dbase is not bind in this context".

I am using Oracle Jdeveloper as an IDE and created a war file and deployed on Oracle App. Server it works fine. Now if I deploy the same war on Web Logic it gives me the following error:

Error deploying entity bean on web logic server

i am trying to deploy a container managed persistence entity bean on web logic server when i run the command ejbc which generates the final jar file ready to deploy having its stub and skeleton it gives me the error that the return type of create(int) method should have a type of bean home interface while in accordance with ejb1.1 specicication it should be the type of primary key and a null value should be returned.
plz let me know where i am doing it wrong.

Servlet class not found error deploying a WAR on Web Logic Server 8.1

I'm re-deploying an updated web application to a web logic server, but when I navigate to the login page of the web application to test it, I get a class not found error for my login servlet. I have both the web.xml and the weblogic.xml descriptors in my WEB-INF directory, and all of my compiled classes are in the WEB-INF/classes directory, is there something else I'm missing? Any help would be much appreciated.

None of the classes are in a package (I know it's not the best idea, but I didn't write these, I'm just doing some updates). So the file structure is pretty much just WEB-INF/classes/
At the moment I've got a fix by just putting the entire project (not in any sort of archive) on the server itself instead of deploying it as a WAR, any thoughts on why the WAR isn't working would be much appreciated though.

Problem while deploying application in web logic

i have an web application with servlets running fine in tomcat 5.1.12, but when i copy the same foldet to web logic and i run i gives an error, i create a domain of my name, and i kept the folder in weblogic, user _projects--> applications folder, but while accessing from the browser i got an error. so please rectify my error.

I don't use web logic so I can't help you. But if you post whatever error message you are referring to into your thread, someone who uses web logic might have a better idea as to how to respond. Additionally I suspect there may be some differences in the configuration settings between Tomcat and web logic, you might look into that. But I have no idea.

Deploy an application in web logic 8.1

Web Logic 10.3.6 (64bit) - Could not load the sitemesh filter and library

Installed Web Logic 10.3.3 (32bit) and Java JDK 1.6.0_21 (32bit) in a customer's server (Windows Server 2008 R2 and 64-bit Operating System). The web page can be displayed with header and side menu.
However installed Web Logic 10.3.6 (64bit) and Java JDK 1.6.0_31 (64bit) on that same server. The web page cannot be displayed with header and side menu, it is just displayed with a blank background. Refer to the below "ERROR LOG", found the application could not load the sitemesh filter and library properly. We are using sitemesh-2.3.jar.
Have tried installed Web Logic 10.3.6 (64bit) and Java JDK 1.6.0_31 (64bit) in a test server (Windows Server 2008 R2 and 64-bit Operating System). The web page can be displayed with header and side menu.

Do you see any further nested exceptions OR errors in the log file.
Considering that the same WLS-JDK combination works on one machine and does not work on another machine, it indicates an environmental issue.

I am suspecting if it has to do anything with the native libraries being loaded JAVA_LIB_PATH.
Please review the server log file again for identifying differences in LIB_PATH or PATH or any messages saying "Unable to load native.. performance pack.."
