DTD or XSL for startscript.xml

I'm trying to edit the startscript.xml file in a domain template I
created but I can't seem to find any documentation on the allowed syntax
within this file and all I have to go on is the existing XML in the
file, generated by BEA.
I need to create a CLASSPATH and a JAVA_OPTIONS environment variable; I
created the classpath successfully however the JAVA_OPTIONS are
presenting a problem.
I want this:
set JAVA_OPTIONS=-Dxxx=c:/yyy/zzz -Daaa=C:/bbb/ccc
but what I get is this:
set JAVA_OPTIONS=-Dxxx=c:\yyy\zzz;-Daaa=C:\bbb\ccc
The slashes have been converted to back-slashes and what's worse, the
spaces are replaced by ;
The syntax I tried using is this:
<setenv name="JAVA_OPTIONS">
<value>-Dxxx=c:/yyy/zzz</value>
<value>-Daaa=C:/bbb/ccc</value>
</setenv>
Can someone please provide me with the DTD or XSL or instructions for
editing this file.

.table is not a standard file extension. It is proprietary to JDeveloper. However, the file contains XML.

  • XSL for a Pie chart with a very simple XML data file

    Hi All
    Using BI Pub Desktop 10.1.3.2.1 with Oracle Apps R12.1.3.
    I am trying to do a pie chart for the below data in an xml file. Normally this is pretty straight forward but with the below simple data structure I am a bit stuck, maybe thinking about it too much. Appreciate any help on what the xsl should like.
    xml file contains only the below. There is no other data in the file.
    <G2>
    <ITEM>ALL</ITEM>
    <AA>10</AA>
    <BB>20</BB>
    <CC>50</CC>
    <DD>30</DD>
    </G2>
    I want to be able to have a pie chart that shows the labels: AA, BB, CC and DD with the corresponding data values of 10,20,50 and 30.
    Thanks for viewing the question.
    Cheers Cel

    Please disregard. i went back to the original blog code and started over, and figured this out.

  • XSL for XML import?

    Hi
    I'm trying to create a xsl file so that the xml would rearrange the content.
    I've found the tutorial of adobe here http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/indesign/articles/indcs2at_xsl.html
    But when I import the xml with this xsl file, I get this error.
    "Element 'output' can only be toplevel" or something like that.
    Can someone give me a good (working) example of xsl tranformation for import in indesign?
    This is what I had
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <xsl:styleshoot version="2.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
    <xsl:output method="xml" version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" indent="yes"/>
    <xsl:template match="/">
    <xsl:element name="Reis">
    <xsl:copy-of select="Continent"/>
    <xsl:copy-of select="Land"/>
    <xsl:copy-of select="Titel"/>
    <xsl:copy-of select="Beschrijving"/>
    <xsl:copy-of select="Inclusief"/>
    <xsl:copy-of select="Dagen"/>
    <xsl:copy-of select="Prijs"/>
    </xsl:element>
    </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    This is the XML
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="koningaap.xsl"?>
    <Reizen>
        <Reis>
            <Continent>Afrika</Continent>
            <Land>Kenia &amp; Tanzania</Land>
            <Titel>Wildlife rond de evenaar</Titel>
            <Beschrijving>Droom je ervan om giraffen, neushoorns,... </Beschrijving>
            <Dagen>14</Dagen>
            <Inclusief>Internationale vluchten, de voor vertrek te betalen... </Inclusief>
            <Prijs>2445</Prijs>
            <Foto href="file://images/Kenia.jpg"/>
        </Reis>
    </Reizen>

    Ah, okay. Your XSL doesn't do anything
    The element <Reis /> is correctly created into the output, but then it goes on to look immediately for the element Continent, the element Land, and so on, and these don't occur in your XML: you are still at the root level. Remember: you have to process your XML one level at a time (although it's possible to take shortcuts). A more proper XSL would be
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <xsl:stylesheet version="2.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
    <xsl:output method="xml" version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" indent="yes"/>
    <!-- Match everything in the root -->
    <xsl:template match="/">
         <xsl:apply-templates />
    </xsl:template>
    <!-- Match everything in Reis -->
    <xsl:template match="Reizen">
         <xsl:apply-templates />
    </xsl:template>
    <!-- Write out single Reis -->
    <xsl:template match="Reis">
    <xsl:element name="Reis">
    <xsl:copy-of select="Continent"/>
    <xsl:copy-of select="Land"/>
    <xsl:copy-of select="Titel"/>
    <xsl:copy-of select="Beschrijving"/>
    <xsl:copy-of select="Inclusief"/>
    <xsl:copy-of select="Dagen"/>
    <xsl:copy-of select="Prijs"/>
    </xsl:element>
    </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    To quickly test your XML output, I suggest you download Kernow. This is a front-end to Saxon, and you can change your XSL in a text editor, run Kernow, check output, adjust (etc.), before processing your files with InDesign. This is what it looks like:

                            clientContextApp.Load(collListItemDoc);
                            clientContextApp.ExecuteQuery();
                            foreach (Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.ListItem oListItemDoc in collListItemDoc)

                                currentDate = System.DateTime.Now;
                                documentLocation = ((FieldUrlValue)oListItemDoc["DocumentLocation"]).Url.ToString();
          but it is following error occurred LINE-9(clientContextApp.ExecuteQuery();).
          "For security reasons DTD is prohibited in this XML document. To enable DTD processing set the DtdProcessing property on XmlReaderSettings to Parse and pass the settings into XmlReader.Create method"

  • Tips for parsing xml in a shell script?

    Hello,
    I'm writing a shell script to extract info from an xml file to create various text files that share data in the form of custom entities declared at the top of the document (product id, name, version, copyright date, etc.). So far I'm using xmllint which is working well. I'm extracting text for my project files using xmllint --shell:
    <pre style="padding-left: .75ex; padding-top: .25em; padding-bottom: .25em; margin-top: .5em; margin-bottom: .5em; margin-left: 1ex; max-width: 80ex; overflow: auto; font-size: 10px; font-family: Monaco, 'Courier New', Courier, monospace; color: #222; background: #eee; line-height: normal">echo cat lls_cd_product/plist | xmllint --noent --shell xyz.xml | sed -e '1d; $d'</pre>
    This is working well, but --shell mode adds an extra line to the beginning and end which I let sed cleanup, but then I need to strip the enclosing tags as well.
    Xmllint does a good job of filling in my entities with the exception of MacRoman bullet characters that I've entered as &#165;. These are just converted to the same entity in hex, &#xA5;. I suppose I can replace those with sed, but that's starting to feel kludgey.
    I'm beginning to wonder if there may be a better way to do this. I'm not very familiar with XSL, but I am considering ramping up on that.
    Any suggestions would be welcome.

    LOL - I didn't think about the forum message area having trouble displaying my XML XSLT problem
    It seemed to mix the code with the site XML.
    Oh brother
    The deal is this.
    The XML XSLT transform was working and now it is not and I think it has something to do with
    the HTTP links for either the Oracle core and/or XML TAGLIBs. Either that or the W3.org has
    outdated XSLT http links.
    Anyone know if changes have been made to any of these taglib links?

  • How to Automatically generate .XSL file of XML file ???

    Hello Everyone,
    I have UI which provide the facility to create own format by using drag and drop utility. I have also xml file which contains the data. Now task is how to automatically generate the .xsl file of the dynamically designed format for the data stored in xml form.
    If you have any idea about the solution of the above problem.
    I will thankful for any help regarding this…
    Thanks
    B. Kumar

    XSL stands for EXtensible Stylesheet Language, and is a style sheet language for XML documents. .xsl is the extension of the XSL file.Thank you, I am aware of all that.
    When we design any format by using drag & drop utility, System has to generate the .xsl file (extensible stylesheet for the xml document).Why? To accomplish what?
    And then .xsl file is used to display the data which is stored in xml document on the webpage with designed format.So you need to define the mapping between XML and HTML? and you're hoping to do that automatically?
    That's a job for a user interface designer. Not a tool.
    In brief we need to write a parson
    Parser
    which will take any designed format and generate the .xsl file for that design, to display the data which is stored in XML document.Doesn't make sense. It would make more sense if you started from a schema. Starting from an actual XML document, i.e. an instance of the schema, no, not even slightly.

  • Imported XSLT cannot create attributes for generated XML element

    I have two xslts. One imports the other.
    The imported xslt creates XML elements with attributes and this XML is stored in a variable in the main stylesheet
    If I perform the transformation with JRE prior to 1.6.0.18 then all works fine
    If I use 1.6.0.18 or 1.6.0.19 then the attributes aren't added.
    If I add attributes in the main xslt it works fine or if I output the element directly instead of first storing it in a variable then it also works fine.
    Problem seems to be when you try to add attributes from an imported stylesheet and store the generated element in a variable.
    Below two stylesheets to illustrate :
    First MainStylesheet.xsl
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!-- Copyright 1993-2005 Seagull Software Systems, Inc. -->
    <xsl:stylesheet

    <xsl:call-template name="generateElement">
    <xsl:with-param name="s">testValue</xsl:with-param>

    </xsl:variable>
    <xsl:for-each select="exsl:node-set($generatedElementXml)">
    *** GeneratedElementXML {<xsl:text>

    </xsl:for-each>
    </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>Next innerstylesheet.xsl
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

                    <TestElement testAttribute="$s" />
            </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>The result output by jres before 1.6.0.18 is :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
                   *** GeneratedElementXML {
              <TestElement xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" testAttribute="testValue"/>
                   }          The result output by jres since 1.6.0.18 is :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
                   *** GeneratedElementXML {
              <TestElement xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
                   }          Note : the 'testAttribute' attribute is missing

    Have found the difference in the code
    In both JRE1.6.0_17 & JRE1.6.0_18, the class 'com.sun.org.apache.xalan.internal.xsltc.dom.AdaptiveResultTreeImpl' has the following method
    public void addUniqueAttribute(String qName, String value, int flags)
            throws SAXException
            addAttribute(qName, value);
        }In JRE1.6.0_17 the next method is
    public void addAttribute(String name, String value)
         if (_openElementName != null) {
             _attributes.add(name, value);
         else {
             BasisLibrary.runTimeError(BasisLibrary.STRAY_ATTRIBUTE_ERR, name);
        }In JRE1.6.0_18 the next method is
    public void addAttribute(String uri, String localName, String qname,
                String type, String value)
         if (_openElementName != null) {
             _attributes.addAttribute(uri, localName, qname, type, value);
         else {
             BasisLibrary.runTimeError(BasisLibrary.STRAY_ATTRIBUTE_ERR, qname);
        }Note - the addAttribute method has additional parameters in JRE1.6.0_18 but the call from addUniqueAttribute wasn't updated.
    So in JRE1.6.0_18 addUniqueAttribute actually invokes the following method in the base package com.sun.org.apache.xml.internal.serializer.EmptySerializer
    public void addAttribute(String name, String value)
            aMethodIsCalled();
    void aMethodIsCalled()
            // throw new RuntimeException(err);
            return;
        }and as you can see this does nothing. Hence the fact that the attribute isn't added.

    Regards,
    Nilesh

    Your main template selects MPRoot elements. You don't have any MPRoot elements in your example XML. However let's suppose that your example XML is a lie and that those Root elements are MPRoot elements in real life. Then, your xsl:for-each selects cd elements. But your Root elements don't have any cd elements as children. They do have CD elements, though. So if that part of the example wasn't a lie, try <xsl:for-each select="CD"> instead.

  • Xsl for-each  not working in BPEL

    Hi,
    My input xml would contain the attribute @SourceModified at many places. In a xsl, for each occurence of that attribute I need to assign a set of values and then invoke a partnerlink.
    My code is
    <xsl:template match="/">
    <xsl:for-each select="//@SourceModified">
    <db:InputParameters>
    <db:before_text>
    <xsl:value-of select="normalize-space(.)"/>
    </db:before_text>
    <db:after_text>
    <xsl:value-of select="normalize-space(..)"/>
    </db:after_text>
    </db:InputParameters>
    </xsl:for-each>
    </xsl:template>
    Say if my input xml has the @SourceModified at 3 places, 3 different sets of values should get assigned to
    <db:InputParameters>.
    When I test the xsl in jdeveloper, i can see <db:InputParameters> coming 3 times. But when I deploy and test the BPEL process, only for the first occurence of @SourceModified, <db:InputParameters> is getting assigned in the transform.
    Please let me know how to fix this.

    hi,
    I am sending multiple @SourceModified elements. Also, i could not see any <list><db:InputParameters></list>.
    Only 1 set of value for <db:InputParameters> is getting assigned.
    I achieved the requirement in another way.
    1. counted the occurence of @SourceModified using ora:countNodes & assigned a variable count = 0
    Inside a while loop, while count<ora:countNodes(@SourceModified)
    1. i tempCountVar = count + 1
    2. pass the tempCount variable to my xsl using passing parameters to xsd.
    3. Inside the xsl, add a if condition
    <xsl:template match="/">
    <xsl:for-each select="//@SourceModified">
    *<xsl:if test select="position() = tempCountVar>*
    <db:InputParameters>
    <db:before_text>
    <xsl:value-of select="normalize-space(.)"/>
    </db:before_text>
    <db:after_text>
    <xsl:value-of select="normalize-space(..)"/>
    </db:after_text>
    </db:InputParameters>
    </xsl:if>
    </xsl:for-each>
    </xsl:template>
    4. increment the count
    This worked for me. I am able to get different values of <db:InputParameters>

  • What kind of approach for new XML-based clients

    Hi.
    Our firm is using Oracle-technology everywhere, and now we would
    like to find out what kind of XML-based technology would suit us
    best for a new generation of our products.
    Our products are now using old Forms 3-clients and we're doing a
    research on replacing this technology with Internet-based
    clients. Java-clients are one option, but now we'd really like
    to know about thin-clients which wouldn't have much code run on
    the server. We have already done extranet-clients with OAS
    PL/SQL-cartridges and have found out that HTML-clients require
    much work and can't have too much logic on them.
    So, we have already OAS running on Oracle 8.0.5.1.0 -server and
    would like to know what kind of XML-strategy would be a
    reasonable solution. I know about these tools: XML Parser for
    xx, XML SQL Utility for Java, XSQL Servlet.
    -But what would be a reasonable combination of these and what
    kind of thin-client could we use? XSL?
    -What kind of development tools could we use for clients (or do
    we have to use text-editors)?
    -Which of these tools require Oracle 8i and is it stupid to even
    think about XML-based applications without Oracle 8i?

    NO. Have you taken a look at the specs page for Mac Pro?
    Or when you go to OWC for Mac Pro Memory.
    http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/Mac-Pro-Memory
    2GB modules are better, especially if you need more than 4GB, but you want to have 4 DIMMs, 4 x 2GB or 4 x 1GB.
