Dump giving by std prg

Last week we went to our upgrace to ecc 6.0 from 4.6c.
Today I received the error from the FBL5N screen trying to retrieve open items for a specific customer.
Runtime Errors         CALL_FUNCTION_CONFLICT_LENG
Except.                CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_TYPE
Date and Time          11/18/2008 15:37:13
|Short text                                                                                |
|    Type conflict when calling a function module (field length).                                  |
The error is coming up from program as explained from SAP dump screen as below :
Information on where terminated
Termination occurred in the ABAP program "RFITEMAR" - in "POS_TABLE_FILL".
The main program was "RFITEMAR ".
In the source code you have the termination point in line 0
of the (Include) program " ".
The termination is caused because exception "CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_TYPE"
     occurred in
procedure "POS_TABLE_FILL" "(FORM)", but it was neither handled locally nor
     declared
in the RAISING clause of its signature.
The procedure is in program "RFITEMAR "; its source code begins in line
0 of the (Include program "???".
Could you please explain what might be the reason for this ?
Do you suggest me to past here the entire dump analysis screen ( I want to learn clearly )?

I am pasting my dump here:
Runtime Errors         CALL_FUNCTION_CONFLICT_LENG

Short text
Type conflict when calling a function module (field length).
What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "RFITEMAR" had to be terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
A function module was called incorrectly.
What can you do?
Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
administrator.
Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.
Error analysis
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_TYPE', was
not caught in
procedure "POS_TABLE_FILL" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
The call to the function module "ITEM_DERIVE_FIELDS" is incorrect:
In the function module interface, you can specify only
fields of a specific type and length under "S_ITEM".
Although the currently specified field
"WA_POS" is the correct type, its length is incorrect.
How to correct the error
If the error occurred in your own ABAP program or in an SAP
program you modified, try to remove the error.
If the error occurs in the program SAPCNVE, it could be for any of
the following reasons:
1. The field <INPUT> conflicts with a function module called
"..._INPUT" or the field <OUTPUT> with "..._OUTPUT".
This is probably due to an error in the definition of the
function module interface. For the relevant
parameters, you should not specify any reference field.
2. The field <INPUT> conflicts with a function module called
"..._OUTPUT.
It may be that the GPA mechanism was used to read a value from the
SAP memory with an incorrect length. The
material number conversion MATN1, for example, expects
a material number 18 characters long in ABAP/4 internal terms. If,
instead, MAT contains a value only 1 character long, the program
terminates.
To view the current contents of the SAP memory, go into "Debugging"
and select Goto -> System -> System areas. View area SMEM.
A GPA value may be the wrong length for any of the following reasons:
a) The user master record contains a value with an incorrect length.
b) In the current transaction, an incorrect parameter ID was
chosen for the field with this conversion.
c) In one of the screens for a previously executed transaction, a
field was assigned an incorrect parameter ID.
d) In a previously executed ABAP/4 program, a
SET-PARAMETER statement has a value with an incorrect length, e.g.
SET PARAMETER ID 'MAT' FIELD '1'.
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
keywords:
"CALL_FUNCTION_CONFLICT_LENG" "CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_TYPE"
"RFITEMAR" or " "
"POS_TABLE_FILL"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
2. Corresponding system log
Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP
program: The source code of the program
In the editor, choose "Utilities->More
Utilities->Upload/Download->Download".
4. Details about the conditions under which the error occurred or which
actions and input led to the error.
The exception must either be prevented, caught within proedure
"POS_TABLE_FILL" "(FORM)", or its possible occurrence must be declared in the
RAISING clause of the procedure.
To prevent the exception, note the following:

  • Short dump in SAP R/3: SQL statement buffer overflow?

    Hello,
I hope someone can help us with the following problem:
    A short dump in SAP R/3 (DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_RSQL, CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB)
occurred during a delta load, which worked fine for several month.
The custom code crashes at a FETCH NEXT CURSOR statement.
I assume, it might be a SQL statement buffer overflow in SAP R/3?
The problem can be reproduced by RSA3, and is therefore not time-dependent.
The problem did not occur before or on the quality assurance system.
    Cursor code:
Read all entries since last transfer (delta mechanism)
OPEN CURSOR WITH HOLD s_cursor FOR
              SELECT * FROM ekko
                WHERE ebeln IN t_selopt_ekko.
t_selopt_ekko has up to 60.000 data sets, which worked fine in the past.
It is very likely that the amount of data during the first crash did not exceed this.
    SQL-Trace of RSA3 call:
It seems that 25150 data set can be processed via fetch before the short dump occurs
After that object SNAP is written:
    "...DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_RSQL...dynpen00 + 0xab0 at dymain.c:1645 dw.sapP82_D82
    Thdyn...Report für den Extraktoraufruf...I_T_FIELDS...Table IT_43[16x60]TH058FUNCTION=
    RSA3_GET_DATA_SIMPLEDATA=S_S_IF_SIMPLE-T_FIELDSTH100...shmRefCount  = 1...
    ...> 1st level extension part <...isUsed       = 1...isCtfyAble   = 1...> Shareable Table Header Data
    <...tabi         = Not allo......S_CURSORL...SAPLRSA3...LRSA3U06...SAPLRSA3...
During dump creation the following occurs:
    "...SAPLSPIAGENTCW...CX_DYNAMIC_CHECK=...CRSFH...BALMSGHNDL...
    DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_RSQL...DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_RSQL...DB_ERR_RSQL_00013...
    INCL_ABAP_ERROR...DBIF_INCL_INTERNAL_ERROR...INCL_INTERNAL_ERROR...

    INCL_SEND_TO_SAP...GENERAL_EXC_WITHOUT_RAISING...GENERAL_ENVIRONMENT...
    GENERAL_TRANSACTION...GENERAL_INFO...GENERAL_INFO_INTERNAL...
    DBIF_INCL_INTERNAL_CALL_CODE..."
Basis says, that the Oracle data base works fine. The problem seems to be a SAP R/3 buffer.
Does anyone had a similar problem or knows where such a buffer might be or how it can be enlarged?
    Best regards
    Thomas

Edited by: Thomas Köpp on Apr 1, 2009 11:39 AM

    Hi Thomas,
Its due to different field length.
Just check it out in code after FETCH NEXT CURSOR what internal table you have mention.
that internal table shoul deffined by taking refrence of ekko, because your code is
OPEN CURSOR WITH HOLD s_cursor FOR
    SELECT * FROM ekko
    WHERE ebeln IN t_selopt_ekko.
    hope you got solution.

  • ABAP Program Giving SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC Dump While Inserting Entries

    Hi Experts,
I had z table in which i had made three fields as primary key combination , i also had a custom program in which i am inserting values into the z table using Insert statement. during the execution of the program it is going for a short dump giving "SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC" With Exception CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB.
The Delivery Class of the Table is "C".
The thing is that i want if 1st field is "ORG ID" second Field is "Material" & the third field is "Type Id". then the system should allow entries like
    ORG ID
    Material Id
    Type Id
    |"0001"    |       "100''         |       "R1"      |
    "0001"
    "100''
    "R2"
    |"0001"    |       "100''          |      "R3"     |
    "0001"
    "100''
    "R4"
Is there any OSS note for Corrections.
    Thanks & regards
    Priyesh Shah.

    Hi
Are you sure your table has those 3 fields as key fields?
I means you make sure the fields: ORG ID, Material Id, Type Id are key fields.
If you are sure the internal table has not duplicated records and your z-table is empty: It can only suppose some field is not a key.
If you have made some modification, try to check the database defination of your z-table is equal to dictionary defination

  • ASSERTION_FAILED, Short dump when activating Transformation in BI7.0

    Hi All,
I have migrated 3.5 update rule to 7.0. And during transformation activation i am getting short dump giving following messges:
    "ASSERTION_FAILED"
    "CL_RSTRAN_GEN_STEP= = = = = CP"
    "CL_RSTRAN_GEN_STEP= = = = = CM005"
    "GET_CONTAINER"
My system support pack is 15. I searched many OSS Notes but i am not able to get the exact soln.
can anybody help me out with this problem?
    Regards,
    Harsh

this error is generally due to inconsistency in metadata
    refer OSS note: 1071255, 1094266, 998730, 829353, 926854
Try to implement this solution from OSS 998730:
Call transaction SE16 (Table Browser) and the 'RSTRANRULE' table with the following selection parameters:
    GROUPID   =  'space'
    GROUPTYPE =  'space' or 'S'
    REF_RULE  <> 'space'
If there are inconsistent entries in the RSTRANRULE table such as:
               TRANID        *
    OBJVERS        *
    RULEID        *
    SEQNR          *
    GROUPID        00
    GROUPTYPE      space  or  GROUPTYPE    'S'
    RULETYPE      space
    REF RULE       *
Delete these entries from the table.
    Activate the affected transformations.

  • Short Dump for Query in Quality server

    Hi Experts,
i have a query, when i execute it in developement server, it successfully execute. But when i execute the same query in Quality,
it gets short dump, giving following error.
ABEND RSBOLAP (000): Program error in class SAPMSSY1 method : UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
      MSGV1: SAPMSSY1
      MSGV3: UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
previously it was working fine in quality, but suddenly it gets shortdu while executing.
i transported again, but error still persists.
i tried execute this query in RSRT also, where it stops at a break point.
this query uses a custimer exit variable, but this variable is not the reason for short dump. without this variable also same error occurs.
please help me to resolve this.
    Thanks
    Saurabh

    Hi,
Please try to provide max input in the variable screen, Don't execute the query based on single selection criteria. And also please perform cube compression before executing the query.
Hope this will solve the issue .
    Thanks

  • SIGN UPLOAD DEPENDING ON PURCHASING GROUP

i need to up load sign based on the purchasing group in to a window
so i am passing the purchasing group in a table which has per group and name and getting the name of bitmap file in variable V_name in sub routine
and then i am creating a constant window and giving path for file as
/: BITMAP &v_name& OBJECT GRAPHICS ID BMAP TYPE BCOL DPI 000
but it is not working as it is unable to understand &v_name&
any way that i can do this

    Hi,
First upload the Bit map into the SAP. Then based on on the purchasing group the conditon pull the bit map either using INCLUDE or BIT map commands.
Make use of std prg RSTXLDMC to upload the file.
Do the following procedure to import the file
1.In the maintenance window, choose Edit -> Graphics -> Create.
The dialog window for inserting graphics appears.
    2. Choose Import.
The dialog window for importing graphics appears.
3.Enter the complete path for the graphic file.
4.In the group box Save as enter the name, the description, and the type of the graphic.
5.In the group box Print attributes enter the print attributes.
    6.Choose Continue.
<b>Note:</b> Check the length of V_name, if you are gettting it from the Subroutine.
As I remember subroutine passes only 60/80 characters per field.
    2. Don't add the purchasing group name for the file name.

  • Error when generating the selection screen '0005'of report 'XYZ'

    Hi All,
We copied std SAP pgm and were trying to rename the one of the screen but couldnt. When I tried to transport it to test system it went in to dump giving the error  Error when generating the selection screen '0005'of report 'XYZ' .
Please advise me on how to remove this dump.

If you look at the selection screen, you'll probably find that there are overlapping elements (text elements over select-options) or something like that.

  • Error in : Purchase order Creation using BAPI_PO_CREATE1

    Hell  guys,
    I am trying to create a PO using a BAPI - BAPI_PO_CREATE1
I want the new PO to have all the characteristics of an existing PO. whose PO # is  stored in wa_order_split_create-docnr and for the new PO, i want the quantity from wa_order_split_create-qty_acptd and the delivery data to be wa_order_split_create-dly_date. But this process and code below gives a short dump in the std FM - MEPO_DOC_ITEM_GET . It raises an exception of failure. I am trying to create many new PO's in the loop below. If there is just one row, sometimes, it creates the PO even with the exception failure ( which is pretty weird).
Am i making any mistake while filling the header or item or schedule lines for the BAPI_PO_CREATE1 ? Any tips or clues why I am getting a dump ?

Error in : Purchase order Creation using BAPI_PO_CREATE1
Posted: Mar 20, 2006 7:39 PM      Reply      E-mail this post
    Hell guys,
    I am trying to create a PO using a BAPI - BAPI_PO_CREATE1

  • Need Help ! PO using a BAPI -  BAPI_PO_CREATE1

    Hi friends,
Need some help. I am trying to create a PO using a BAPI - BAPI_PO_CREATE1
<i><b>I want the new PO to have all the characteristics of an existing PO. which is stored in wa_order_split_create-docnr and for the new PO, i want the quantity from wa_order_split_create-qty_acptd and the delivery data to be wa_order_split_create-dly_date. But this process and code below gives a short dump in  the std FM  - MEPO_DOC_ITEM_GET . It raises an exception of failure.</b></i>

    Hi All,
I have coded a BDC program (call transaction method) for the transaction code VL02N. I can able to run the program manually & successfully. But if I execute the program in background(SM36), it is going to dump giving CNTL_ERROR.
Note: I am not using any of the GUI_UPLOAD, GUI_DOWNLOAD funciton modules in the program. But I am using the FTP command funtion modules like( FTP_COMMAND, FTP_CONNECT, FTP_DISCONNECT and FTP_SERVER_TO_R/3).

VL02N is an enjoy transaction. You cant run it in background. Please try VL02.

  • Statement not accessible error

Hi, we have upgraded the project from 46c to ecc version.
In one standard include MV45AFZZ , one statement is added  IMPORT itab1chk FROM MEMORY.
In MV45AFZB , the value for itab1chk is getting exported.
In 46c , we r not getting any error when we run the VA01 transaction.
But in ECC, this transaction going for Dump giving error 'The statement is not accessible ' referring to the statement IMPORT itab1chk FROM MEMORY which is in MV45AFZZ include.
I tried by adding ID <KEY> to the IMPORT AND EXPORT statement. But still getting same error.
Can any one please suggest the solution.
    Thanks,
    laks.

    Hi,
You get this Error normally when you are doing a syntax check on the Includes in which the code lines are not between FORM and ENDFORM.
I dont think this is a serious error atleast till 4.7 as the system will allow you to activate the Include. May be the ECC is a bit more stringent on this issue.
I think your problem will be solved if you try to include all the code lines only in the FORM and ENDFORM.
    regards,
    Mahesh
